Warning! if you are looking to learn about the feasts and festivals of the Jews, you may want to look elsewhere. The book has a dispensational premellinial flair. I do not think it's wise to base doctrine on typology. Christ can be seen in the feasts, that much is true and I appreciate the authors work to that end. However, I did not care to read about the rapture-tribulation-millennium mumbo jumbo in ancient jewish festivals. At times the connections to "end times" events seemed forced and contrived. That being said, the author clearly put a lot of research into this and brought out some valuable tidbits. If you decide to read this, bring your comb.

The main reasons for the Jewish feasts are presented in this book. I loved that it provided detail tied to Biblical passages that illuminate their meaning. It was a quick and important read for me.

I can’t believe how much information is in a book that’s only 88 pages! Such a great resource to understand the depth and how they connect to Jesus. As someone who has been exploring how these rhythms apply to us today, this book was wonderful. It’s written in a way that makes the feasts approachable, even if you’re just starting to learn about them.

I appreciate each feast is traced back to its biblical origins, then ties it into its fulfillment in Christ. The parallels between God’s instructions for His people and the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus are breathtaking. It’s a reminder that God’s plan has always been intentional, weaving together the Old and New Testaments with meaning so much intention.
I really appreciated the sections on how the feasts point to both fulfilled and future prophecies. I think this book would be great for anyone just starting to learn or those who have been studying the feasts for a long time.

It doesn’t give step-by-step instructions on “how to”, but it does lay the foundation for why these celebrations still matter. Not as a legalistic requirement but as a way to draw closer to God.

This is one I’ll be revisiting often as I continue learning and teaching others about the feasts.

A way to grow and know God more

Do you love God? Is it hard to really pray or spend time with Him? Even if you are faithful daily in prayer, praise and service, this book will encourage each one who reads it. Isaiah 25:1 NIV I Lord, you are my God;I will exist you and praise your name. For in perfect faithfulness you have done marvelous things, things planned long ago. This describes Mr. Morgan's excellent research of God's plans and ways work!

An eye opener for even the lifetime Christian. I've attended a seminary and was never taught about the depth of meanings of the "Feasts." After reading " Unlocking the Secrets of the Feasts, " I wonder how the Jewish people have missed it for so long. As well as why our pastor do not teach it.
An excellent read.

I have had interests in the feasts and Jewish traditions for a while. I struggle to commit the meanings to memory and grasp how they flow in our calendar. This book offers very interesting insights about the prophetic significance of the feasts. I enjoyed learning new revelations about their application to Christianity. My interest remains piqued and stirred after this read!

This book offers a concise yet meaningful explanation of the feasts that were part of Jesus‘s life but that most Christians do not understand. I found it very helpful to know the practices celebrated during each feast and found that they enrich my reading of the New Testament. I also found this book extremely easy to follow - without a lot of erudite jargon.

The Life of Christ

By understanding the feast and how Christ fulfilled each of the festivals, we can see how He made Himself known to both the Jews and the Gentiles.

Very interesting!

The average Christ-follower does not realize the beautiful significance of the Feasts of Israel. They are each rehearsals pointing to Christ as Messiah!

The Jewish Feasts represent the first and second comings of Christ. To understand the feasts is to get a clue to God's timeline. The Spring feasts depict Christ's birth, death and resurrection. The Fall feasts speak to his second coming. A very good book to keep on hand - online and IN PRINT!

Great

Book about the Jewish Feasts. Jesus has already fulfilled the first four, He's surely going to fulfill the last three!

Tiny book, quick read. Norten works through the feasts that are laid out in the book of Leviticus. I found some of his insights new and enlightening; other observations seemed a bit out of left field. But a worthwhile (and brief) read if you're looking for background on the feasts of Leviticus.
