Always consider where you got it from, who published it, and check the sources. A good refresher on financial literacy, easy to read. Mind the figures shown...If someone had 0 financial literacy, this is a quick, informal booklet. A lot of money went into printing it, and before you make any decisions, consider why it was given to you, what language is used, check for logical fallacies, and ask yourself why the person that give it to you wants you to read it. What are they selling? Trust no one and go do your own research.

Read as a recommendation from a friend. Was a good refresher for me. Easy to read language about the importance of investments. Written in a way that anyone can understand. A great read for anyone looking to start.

Highly suggest this book to anyone who wants to get their foot in the door about the world of finance & investment!
It talks about all the financial programs (i.e. Traditional IRA, Roth IRA, 401k, Annuities, Life Insurance, Medicare). It also talks about other investment opportunities such as the indexes (Dow, S&P 500, NASDAQ), stocks, bonds, and mutual funds. It really gave me better basic understanding about a lot of personal finance programs we have in the country.

I got this book from Los Angeles based Gabe Pagtama. It is one of two best books I have read this year. It is not a Pulitzer Prize winning book but it is totally loaded with good information and super easy to read. It took me a quick week to read and literally I want to read it again this time with a highlighter it is that useful. In fact I think this book is so easy to read and useful that it should be ready maybe at the beginning of every year to keep in touch with your financial plans and get new ideas towards goals and planning. Thanks Financial Planner Gabe Pagtama!

This material is a good introduction for one's personal financial management. The contents are very basic and won't get too involved. It will cater to those who have very little to no idea how to start saving for their future. It came to me at the perfect time - right when I was starting to look into good ways to invest my money. A thorough discussion of finance is not to be expected from this booklet but it will definitely help in preparing for more in-depth discussions from other materials.

This little book is a compact education on the mechanics of personal finance. It succinctly explains products, concepts and tools.

*Disclaimer* Just having information never changed anyone's life. I recommend combining the tools taught in this book with good goal setting, addressing scarcity mindset and resilience practices.

Reasonable introduction to financial principles. I picked it up primarily for the insurance discussion which details the difference between the types of permanent life. I also really liked the DIME method for calculating insurance needs (debt+income*10yr+mortgage+education).

Great book for an introduction. Some typos in the book. But, I greatly appreciated the chapters on investing, retirement planning, and different types of life insurance. This book does NOT go in very much depth; so, I suggest it for young teens for a quick read so they know what's up in the world. If you are older and need tips and help asap, I suggest finding another book. But, the overall message is that Rich people don't want others to know how they make money -- they don't only make money with a high paying job, but by investing in the right places, and planning for their future in advance. ALSO, your whole attitude and preparedness can change what $ you make and save & you have to learn how to MAKE MONEY WORK FOR YOU; DON'T WORK FOR MONEY.
