Now in paperback--a groundbreaking examination of conflict resolution and leadership by the creator of process-oriented psychology. Psychologist Mindell shows how confronting the challenges of today's world requires the skill of a martial artist--a leader who exhibits flexibility, balance, detachment, intensity, sure instinct, and keen awareness in the midst of group chaos and confusion.
I obtained this book in 2006 and am so grateful to continue to own it. I will write a detailed summary of how these principles apply to my own personal and continued 'professional' skills and abilities.
I was cleaning out the garage and found this book. It was for a class I took at the U of U, for graduate social work credit. I liked the book well enough, but what I remember is the teacher, an older gentleman who was always trying to convince us to go with him to his sweat lodge and sweat with him (naked, of course).
Reading both sitting in the Fire and Leader As Martial Artist and I don't know if it's worth it to read both at the same time. They seem very related although I think Leader is more of a "How To" book.
