If you live in an area with a lot of Asian markets, and you are not familiar with Asian produce, you should get this book. It explains what each vegetable is, shows what it looks like, where it comes from, and how to cook it.

An excellent guide to vegetables and other staples found in Asian grocery stores (I live in the NE USA), including information surrounding ethnobotany. It also has beautiful illustrations.
