IT IS HALLOWEEN, and Thomas and Mavis are working hard at the quarry in Anopha. On Halloween, Thomas is sent into town to pick up a special cargo, but he cannot see what he is pulling. Thomas loves Halloween, but hopes that his Special is full of treats, and not tricks!

About the author

Wilbert Vere Awdry, OBE, better known as the Rev. W. Awdry, was an English clergyman, railway enthusiast and children's author, and creator of Thomas the Tank Engine, who starred in Awdry's acclaimed Railway Series.

The characters that would make Awdry famous, and the first stories featuring them, were invented in 1943 to amuse his son Christopher during a bout of measles. The first book (The Three Railway Engines) was published in 1945, and by the time Awdry stopped writing in 1972, The Railway Series numbered 26 books. Christopher subsequently added further books to the series.

This book was read for Wesley’s summer reading club. Wesley is my (soon to be five year old) son. This review is what we used for his reading club.

My mom and Wesley read some stories before bed. Wesley loves Thomas!

These stories seem to be aimed for a little bit older of a reader than Wesley. However, he does like listening to the stories...

This ebook was easier to read, than the Curious George Halloween book. I could enlarge the pictures, and the words were easy to read.
