The photos in this book are interesting, though they seem like advertising for the various businesses. The text is interesting at first (especially the history of body modification/ decoration), but it rambles quite a lot. The author doesn't really make a point, and repeats many points a few times.
In all, an okay to good photo essay (if you don't read the text).

the photos in this book are fantastic and it would be an excellent book as an introduction into alternative fashion and adornment, however if you already have some experience in the area i think the photos are more appealing than the text is fulfilling or any more informative than what u could find on a quick google search

All of these weirdos who mutilate their bodies in the name of self expression and a desire to look original all end up looking the same, like idiots! This book was like a trip to the freak show. I couldn't stop looking at it!
