I accepted a job at Luke Technologies to learn more about the man behind the company, Luke Andrews. I didn't plan to love my job and build relationships with the people I worked with, including Luke. I had secrets that I needed to keep hidden until the time was right.
Another thing I didn't expect to find was Kevin Reynolds, the opposite of what I wanted in a man. He was cocky as could be, very demanding, full of himself, and felt the need to control everything around him. At the same time, he was tall, dark, tattooed, and sexy on his Harley.
Kevin should have been off limits. He was closer to Luke than I thought, and he was my boss. The man held my fate at the company in is hands, and the harder I pushed him away, the more I wanted him. It didn't help that he seemed to appear every time I needed someone.
Just when I thought things couldn't bet any better, my world came crashing down around me.
What would Kevin do if he discovered my secret before I was to tell him?
I found out the hard way, and his reaction was not at all what I expected.

I'm really enjoying this series. It's my favorite of Sharon Cummin's so far. I really enjoy how the fact that it's a novella series means, it's full of action and it's a book you can pick up when you don't have a lot of time.
This is Part 2 and needs to be read after the first part, otherwise the story will be very confusing.
We're continuing with Kevin and Brooke and their story. After the dramatic reveal at the end of Part 1, I was very eager to get stuck straight back in and find out what was going on.
Part 2 didn't disappoint in any way, it was full of action and intrigue, and of course incredibly hot sex scenes. They actually seemed to jump up a notch in this series, probably something to do with how Kevin is quite alpha and very bossy. Which made for some sizzling tension and scenes.
I do feel a bit sorry for Brooke as things seem to really be looking up for her, yet she is in a very awkward position, with quite a few things conflicting.
When Brooke took the job, she had a purpose in mind, and she wasn't going to let anything get in the way of that. It was a perfect job, it also allowed her to go back to school to study business, after having to leave to take care of her dying mother. Plus, she got the chance to get to know her father, without him knowing who she is. Yet, even though the job is perfect, things start to get more and more confusing. First the steamy chemistry with her boss, Kevin. Then the fact that they can't get enough of each other, and now........another problem. Kevin's connection to her father. Poor Brooke, it's all a little crazy, but it certainly makes for an addictive and exciting story.
Can't wait to see what the next Part brings.

This part picks up right where part one left off. The reader hears Kevin say "tell mom I'll be there." So we are left to guess what exactly that means, and now Brooke is left trying to figure that out too. Regardless she decides that she needs to separate herself from Kevin. She doesn't want this "whirlwind" to ruin her only chance of being closer to her father. Kevin, doesn't want to want her but just can't seem to help himself.
"I can't get enough of you, Brooke. As hard as I try to stay away from you, I can't. I want to hear you call my name all night long. I want you to feel my lips on you and my c*ck in you after you leave here. I want to ruin you for every other man out there. When you think about me, I want your panties to melt. I want you to dream about us every night. I want to be all you think about. I want to invade your thoughts and your body every moment of every day. I want you to know that I'm the only one you want inside you."
Once they both figure out they can't keep their hands to themselves, they decide to "try" it. I like them together, they are refreshing but intense at the same time. Kevin is lightening up a bit but no less the controlling, all alpha man. Brooke is also become more comfortable in her own skin, she has always had to earn her own way but it was nice to see her let someone else take the reins for awhile. Brooke though is having a hard time keeping herself closed off from Kevin and the longer she waits to tell him her secret the worse it is going to get. Is their new romance strong enough to keep it together, when it all falls apart?
I enjoyed this piece as much as the last piece, but if I thought I was left hanging before it has nothing on the ending of this book. I can't wait to find out if Brooke is strong enough to lay it all on the line and if Kevin is strong enough to listen. And what will happen when her true identity is revealed? I will be waiting on bated breath till part three.

5 Amazing Stars
This book was given to me for my honest review by the author.

As Kevin and Brooke continue their journey in what we can hope to finding their forever as one. We come to see that this couple has many hurdles to accomplish before their final leg of this journey can be written. Though as both seem strong on their own we can read that they are only as strong as they think they are. When they become one they are stronger than any force to be reckoned with. Inside the bedroom they are explosive, understanding and trust one another beyond ones dreams. Outside the bedroom their love shines through in only a few that can see.

Brooke took a job at Luke Technologies to find out more about the man and his company. But she didn't expect to find such a great company to work for. They pay for college tuition and have great benefits. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Even Luke Andrews. She is the assistant to Kevin head of security. She loved her job and didn't want to lose it. She needed the money to pay for her mothers medical bills and other expenses. She had found something out after her mother died and she needed to keep it quiet until the right time.
Kevin Reynolds was her boss along with Luke. He cocky, full of himself and a very demanding boss. he was demanding in all aspects of his life. He was sexy as hell and he was opposite of the man she wanted. But he was so hot, tall and tattooed and he looked so sexy on a Harley. One that she would love to make love to him on.
She needed to stay away from Kevin. They need to keep their relationship professional. But the attraction between the both of them was undeniable and wrong in so many ways. He was close to Luke and she didn't need any interference with her plan but Kevin had other plans. It was hard to stay away from him whenever she needed help he was there. She had to keep her job but staying away from Kevin was just impossible. The more she stayed away from him the more she needed him and craved his touch. Kevin wasn't the type of man to fall for her and he wanted no relationships since he had just had a bad one. He thought all women were the same and he wasn't going to fall for their greedy games and hands anymore. But things happened and they became a little closer than she planned. Their relationship gets very heated and they cant keep their hands to themselves.
One evening she planned to tell him about her life and her past. But something happened and her world came to an abrupt halt. What if Kevin found her her secret before she got a chance to tell him? Surely he would understand or would he?
This series is so good!! I recommend it if you love a good steamy romance and a hot sexy tattooed man. It will have you laughing one minute and totally edging toward an orgasm the next. The story is very well written and once you start you wont want to put it down. ITS FREAKING HOT!!
I gave it 5 stars. This author has me hooked on her books now. It is a 3 part series and I can't wait for part 3. This story is definitely meant for 18+ aged readers. It does contain hot sex!! But not to the point where you get bored with the sex scenes. It is a great romance story.

This book was Part 2 in a 3 part series.
When I started this book I was excited, having just come off of Part 1 and wanting to know what happened next. We pick up with a bit more insight into Kevin's life and why he is like he is. We also learn of the relationship between Luke and Kevin. We get to see more of the interactions between Brooke and Kevin, and love every minute of them! The fire between them - whether it be passion in the bedroom or passion of words - is so hard to put down. It is such an entertaining read that I just couldn't walk away from it! (Not that I wanted to!!) Sharon Cummin has an amazing way of putting into words what each of us would want in a relationship. Trust, passion, lust, and ultimately love. Each of those both in and out of the bedroom. The trust factor alone that both characters struggle with is enough to break them, and it just might in the end. But, they are willing to fight it out and see where it takes them.
Cummin has a fascinating way of getting the reader hooked in the story and leaving you wanting for more. The characters are believable. Brooke is a strong willed young lady who only wants to live for herself, yet finds herself letting people in to help her. Kevin is a strong headed man who has been severely hurt in the past and has problems letting people in, yet finds himself doing that with Brooke even when he doesn't want to. Part 3 (that isn't due to be released until April 2015) looks to be an explosive ending wrapping up all the lose ends that have been unraveling through books 1 and 2. Yet again, at the end of His Assistant, Part 2, Cummin has us yearning for the next book and screaming to know what happens next. Many praises to Sharon Cummin for not only keeping me interested in the story, but for keeping me guessing about what is to come next and not writing a predictable story. I can't wait to see what happens in the ending!

I received a copy of this book directly from the author in exchange for an honest review.
I actually finished this book a while ago, but held off on my review in order to gather my thoughts.
I've gotten used to the author's tendency towards narration. While it was more distracting in the first installment, now that I know what to expect it doesn't remove me from the story nearly as much as I thought it would. There are still moments that are repetitive, but almost in an endearing sort of way. I realize she's really trying to hammer home the main points of the story, and that at times real people in real life go back over and over the same stuff during their own internal dialogue. But some of that monologue could still be removed and the essence of the story retained.
Again, I really like Kevin and Brooke, both together and separately. This installment focuses almost exclusively on building their relationship with one another. Good times, bad times, less than honest times. Both of them are keeping huge secrets from one another, and their reluctance to come clean might ultimately spell their demise.
Unfortunately, all of this focus on Kevin and Brooke left poor Luke out in the cold. I really wanted to hear more on the Luke front, since the main goal of Brooke even getting the job at Luke Technologies was to meet him and know him from afar. In this installment, he is a secondary character at best. There for a brief comment or two, then fading back into the scenery. Kevin overshadowed all, and he wasn't even part of the original plan. Yes, Kevin is super important, but so is Luke.
With all of the Kevin/Brooke set up, there was not a whole lot of action until the very end of Part 2. And here, the author delivered another killer cliffhanger which will have some readers complaining, but left me wanting more. Luckily, I've got Part 3 already and I'm twenty percent through it.

I was given this book in return for an honest review
After the way the first book finished I knew I just had to get my hands on this one ,,, I'm hooked on this story and with every chapter my addiction worsens ,,, I need more ,,, and because of that it will not surprise you to learn that AGAIN I'm left eager for the third book ,,, it's ridiculous how. Ugh you can want the next chapter so bad but when it finishes on a cliffhanger ,,, and oh my what a way to end it ,,, of course you are going to be left hanging ,,, needing ,,, wanting
If you haven't read the first book YOU NEED TO as they follow in sequence ,,, and they are gooooood ;)
So we learnt already that Brooke is on a mission to get to know the father that she never knew was alive and well ,,, in finding out his existence she was keen to meet him and find out what she could I the process ,,, when a vacancy arises in his company she is overjoyed to get it ,,, but what she didn't expect was Kevin ,,, the hard ass boss ,,, sexy but not very nice ,,, well that soon changed ,,, after reading the first you'll know the shocker that we were left with at the end but that cliffhanger is cleared up pretty quickly within this book :) ,,, there are ups and downs ,,, fun, tears, running, secrets, lies and revelations ,,, let's not forget some steamy sex too :)
The connection between these two can be felt a mile off ,,, there will be a part of you just holding those fingers tightly crossed but at the same time ha just wanna shake them about a little and tell them to wise up and sort it out :)
I'm left seriously in a funk only because I now have to wait to get the next instalment ,,,

I was waiting for this book since reading Part 1.
Kevin and Brooke have been on this rollercoaster relationship since they met. Their chemistry is off the charts and their scenes in the bedroom are scorching.

Just when things seem to be going great between Brooke and Kevin and everything working out for the best things just have to go haywire.
Book two definitely has more sex in it. Brooke may reign outside of the bedroom, but inside it Kevin rules and she enjoys every second of it.

Kevin tries to hold back, tries to get Brooke out of his system, but he craves her too damn much. He'll have her as often he can…that is until he comes across something that only confirms his worse fears.
Brooke never meant to fall in love with her boss, she never even wanted to get involved with him, and yet it happened. But one night will rip away any hope she ever may have had.
The intense connection is definitely there between Brooke and Kevin, you'll definitely feel it. And the ending…OMG the ending will have you rushing to buy book three because you cannot end it like that without finding out what happens.
I feel I need to mention the writing itself. The timeframes jump very quickly at times and often in the same paragraph. There are also quite a few editing issues. Not enough to take your attention away from the storyline, but definitely enough to occasionally distract you.

As we left off Brooke and Kevin just came back from the Vegas conference and things are still getting hotter between them. As much as they tried to keep their attraction for each other.

Brooke wants Kevin but not sure we're this are going .They are on a business trip to Vegas ( yes Vegas ) together one thing leads to another hint hint ....Kevin knows he should not have sexual relations with his employees and knows Luke will be furious but tell his heart this , his brain says one thing and his heart another .and his bit like her too much
Every time Kevin even looks at Brooke he get an instant hard on he loves her fowl mouth and hates it too . The only place for fowl mouths is the bedroom not at work .....There are some mind-blowing sex scenes in this book that have me blushing and fanning myself .In this book Brooke finds out Kevin is closer to Luke but why and what's going on .What connection does Kevin have to Luke? .

I am blown away! This book is even better than the first book and the ending simply killed me! Brooke is slipping, she is falling love with Kevin there is no denying it, she knew it would happen. Now if only she can tell him about why she started working for Luke in the first place.
Kevin has found that he can't stop thinking about Brooke, she consumes him. She is breaking down his wall of mistrust and he is letting her. He finds that he needs to make her smile more than anything. He wants to be her reason for being. How will he react when he learns about who she really is.

She accepts a job at Luke Technologies to learn more about the man behind the company, but she didn't expect to love her job or start to like Kevin because she knew he was off limits.
Kevin is a sexy domineering alpha. In part 2 you get more of an insight about Kevin's life, and also his relationship to Luke.
Brooke knows she has to keep her secrets until the time is right but what happens when things don't happen as planned? What happens if Kevin finds out her secret?
This is a great series! Sharon definitely knows how to keep you on the edge of your seat begging for more! The chemistry between the characters are undeniable. This is one addictive book!!

I couldn't get enough of this book and can't wait to read the next one to find out what happens to Kevin and Brooke!

I absolutely love this story. Kevin and Brooke are amazing together. As the second part of the story unfolds you learn more about both Kevin and Brooke and where there headed after the conference in Vegas. The story had a great foundation and the characters are amazing. I also loved that the story had a lot of humor in it. Made me laugh so much with the back and forth bickering from Kevin and Brooke. My only complaint was that now I have to wait until April to see what happens next. A thrilling new series that I love and don't want to end!

Excellent 5 star read!
I don't normally do cliff hangers, nope, not a fan but this series keeps me coming back for more.
I hate giving too much away therefore all I will say is:
Brooke and Kevin's story is keeping me on the edge of my seat, just when things get comfy cozy, all lovey dovey, Boom! waves get stirred and the boat gets rocked. There's a wonderful mix of emotions, his thoughts, her thoughts and the readers hope for a HEA. I'm loving it!
I have to say, the cliff you have me hanging from at this very moment is a hell of a steep one Sharon, I'm not happy about dangling here but so excited for April to come so I can move on to part 3!

His Assistant, Part 2 by Sharon Cummin picks up where the first book left off. We start to put some pieces of the puzzle together and see that Brooke and Kevin seem to have a great attraction. But Brooke realizes that she must put an end before things get to far. She is working at Luke Technologies to get to know Luke who she thinks is the person that holds an important part to her past. The more she thinks she doesn't need him the more she really does. I absolutely loved the banter between the two in this book. I loved this book more than the first one and can not wait to read the next one.

Picks up right where we left off...and OMG!! Sooooo glad it wasn't the ewwww moment I thought it might have been...Brooke and Mr. Reynolds are still working on their 'do they, dont they' outside of the office. It's completely HOT and soooo sexy. I love how their chemistry just sizzles the pages and you want to know more and more....But could the one thing that Brooke has been hididng be the one thing to destroy them all?? Goodness gracious!! You just have to read and find out ...and cliffhanger hell if there ever was one...HOLY CRAP!!! Let's just say after your panties have been soaked several times....you will be left breathless at the end.

Kevin is so hot!! His dominance in the bedroom and outside ;) really sets this book apart from others. His character doesn't flip back and forth. He is all demanding...it's drool worthy.

I think this is a great series! I really enjoy that it is told from both POV's. I am loving all the characters especially the main characters of Brooke and Kevin. This is part two of three in this series and it leaves you with a cliffhanger. I don't know how this is going to end but I hope that they get their happily ever after. Brooke and Kevin both have a really hard time letting people in and tend to run instead of talk things out.
I definitely recommend this series. I can't wait for Part 3.

Secrets will always reveal themselves and this secret is no different. Brooke isn't out to hurt anyone she is just trying to get to know her dad without anyone knowing. Should she have came out with the truth yes of course, but that isn't how it happen. When Kevin finds out her secret will he be there to help or will he think the worst and turn her in? When I started these two I didn't know if I would like them but man it is a hook, line, and sinker kind of story. Can't wait to see what happens next.

His Assistant, Part 2 by Sharon Cummin picks up where the first book left off. This book is definitely not for anyone under 18. A great series, strong characters, a bit of humor. Brooke and Kevin are intriguing characters, each afraid to face each other and talk over difficult problems. Part 3, the next and final addition should be very interesting.
