I don't know what my tattoo animal is, but it's adorable.
When my bestie insists we ditch her bachelorette party to get tattoos, I agree. It’s not like I think she’ll follow through. Only she does and now I have a meerkat tattoo. I didn’t even know what the cute little furball was when I pulled the flash from the mystery ball machine, but somehow it’s perfect.
It’s a great conversation starter, but who knew it was going to be a matchmaker? Mika is drawn to me by my tattoo, but our connection is so much more than that. He's everything I want in a mate. Unfortunately, I've sworn off mating. I'll never please my omega dad. It's not worth the heartache ... right? This meerkat on my arm has me second-guessing everything.

A tattoo changed everything and fate found its mark.
Omega Gabe thinks a random tattoo at his best friend’s bachelorette night will be a joke. Instead, it pulls him into Mika’s orbit, a protective and commanding alpha whose presence both unsettles and excites him. Every glance and touch tests desire and trust, pushing Gabe to face fears he’s carried his whole life and questioning what it means to truly let someone in.
Meerkat shifter Mika is drawn to Gabe in ways he can’t ignore, balancing alpha instincts with patience, curiosity, and emotional openness. Their connection grows through quiet moments, teasing, and the intensity of a bond neither expected, pulling both toward vulnerability and longing. Each shared look and heated encounter blurs the line between choice and destiny, and every interaction deepens the tension that neither can deny.
Gabe learns to embrace vulnerability and trust, stepping into a fated connection he never imagined, while navigating the complexities of desire and consent. Mika opens further, letting his protective instincts mix with playful intimacy and care, revealing depths of patience and emotional intelligence that challenge Gabe to grow. Together they navigate power, consent, and desire, building a layered relationship where emotional and physical closeness thrive, and where each moment of connection feels urgent and necessary.
A hot, MM, fated mates, omegaverse shifter romance with mpreg, exploring fate, trust, and emotional vulnerability. It's about two people finding each other through destiny and desire, learning to grow together, balancing intimacy with autonomy, and claiming a love that reshapes both their worlds. From tentative first encounters to the heat of undeniable attraction, every step draws them closer, proving that surrendering to passion can be both transformative and grounding.
The Elevator Pitch: A random tattoo draws a cautious human omega into the orbit of a protective alpha meerkat shifter, igniting a connection that defies logic and pulls at instinct. Their bond grows through teasing, trust, and desire, challenging both to confront fears and surrender to the unexpected pull of fate. As boundaries blur between choice and destiny, passion and emotional intimacy intertwine, revealing the power of a connection that demands to be claimed.
I have 4 or 5 of the books in this series, and have enjoyed every one, but I think this is my favorite so far. Meerkats are very interesting creatures, I enjoyed the television show and all I learned about them years ago, and I really liked Mika’s family in this one, especially his non-alpha mother as the leader of the meerkat mob. She was definitely a force to be reckoned with, but she was also a peacemaker and a great organizer, if a little bossy. I chuckled when Gabe asked if it was like a mafia family, but understood he had missed out on the show, so knew little about meerkats. Mika was so considerate with Gabe, remembering his hesitation with being alone with an Alpha, being sure to keep his distance and go slowly, no matter how much he wanted to mate with Gabe as soon as he knew they were fated mates. Gabe was a little slower to get on board, but he was so much calmer with Mika and the feelings through his tattoo, it didn’t take long to accept they were mates. Something about the way the relationship developed just seemed so natural and easy, I liked that it was low angst for the most part. I enjoyed the friendship between Gabe and Becca, and understood the hesitation between Bruce and Gabe due to that close friendship. It’s hard not to feel left out with a friendship so strong and long-lasting. Luckily Bruce had his friendship with Mika to help temper his feelings.
I think the idea with the machine to dispense random tattoos to help match fated mates was a cute one, and it has allowed for a variety of meet cutes with different shifter characters and several creative stories to develop to bring the two mates together. I look forward to reading the rest of the series to see what other couples are mated.

So many characters in "Mated in Ink" ask human omega, Gabe, "You know the show? The one with meercats." He never watched it as a teen. To save money, his omega dad had cut the cable. When the random choice (Fate guided) tattoo prize machine chose a meercat for his tat, he didn't know what it was. Alpha meercat Mika Mear (the elders were really flying under the radar when they chose a last name!) left his home when instinct pointed him to the city to find his mate. At that point, this could have devolved into the usual Omegaverse romance with the 'meet-reveal (if the human mate has no idea)-mate baby story. Edie Monte keeps it fresh with her cast of characters. Gabe is afraid to be alone with alphas. His omega dad, Jerry, was deserted by his alpha when Gabe was too young to remember him and the (anti) sex education class in high school was only too quick with the cautionary tales. Mika is patient and not like any other alpha Gabe has known. Talia, Mika's mom, beta leader of the matriarcal meerkat mob is a total bad butt. Human Becca, Gabe's best friend is totally in love with her fated, wolf shifter, Bruce. I could really see the quartets friendship going strong even after marriage and babies. There are a few sour notes. Bruce's pack alpha dad is an intolerant, and human phobic jerk. And all around jerk. Becca's dad is unable to get over his wife's death even after almost 20 years. Gabe's omega dad divorced his alpha mate 20 years ago. He's bitter, alpha adverse. Ms, Monte packs a whole lotta story in such a tiny book. I've read quite a few of the Love Sync Mates series. They've all been good. But I gotta say, "Mated in Ink" has the most adorable cover.

This book is part of the multi-author Love Sync Ink series. Each book is a standalone read and focuses on a different couple. This is the story of Gabe and Mika. Gabe is a human omega who gets a magical tattoo with his bestie for her bachelorette party. He selected one from the gumball machine and ended up getting a cute animal on his arm. He didn't even know that it is a meerkat. Apparently he is only one of a handful of people who haven't seen the meerkat show on tv. Mika is an alpha meerkat shifter. He is also the best friend of the groom for the afore mentioned wedding. There is instant chemistry and attraction between Mika and Gabe. The only problem is that Mika doesn't meet the standard of what a typical alpha looks and acts like. It throws Gabe for a loop at the beginning. This is their story. The book is written well and is easy to read. Recognizing that Gabe has some serious issues about mates and alpha, Mika takes the growth of their relationship very slowly. He is always honest when dealing with Gabe. I really enjoyed how Gabe thought that Mika's mom and family were directly related to the mafia. It is a fun counter point. I liked watching their relationship grow. I enjoyed really this book.

MATED IN INK is part of the Love Sync Ink series, although I haven't read any of the other stories in the series, and I don't feel as though it made any difference to my enjoyment of this one.
This is an omegaverse story, where shifters are secret. Gabe is a human omega, and Mika is a meerkat shifter alpha. Gabe has always been told by his omega father what he should look for in an alpha, and Mika is none of those things. However, Gabe has a magic tattoo that points him in the right direction, and both he and Mika like pushing the boundaries on what should be 'right' or 'expected' of a designation.
Talia, Mika's mum, is an absolute hoot, and I loved how Gabe compared her to the mafia. Gabe's dad took some time to win me over, but it became clear why he acted the way he did. One of the things I enjoyed about this story was that it didn't just end when they got together. Instead, you see how they settle into life together, a wedding, births, and best friends. I'm hoping for a story about Jett and his phoenix!
All in all, a great read that I thoroughly enjoyed and definitely recommend.

This MM shifter romance features a meerkat shifter and delivers a truly cozy and heartwarming story. The two main characters first meet in a small shop, and right from the beginning there’s a quiet but unmistakable connection between them. What makes the story especially lovely is how naturally their relationship develops. Instead of rushing into things, they keep in touch and slowly get to know each other, building trust and comfort over time. Their bond grows step by step, which makes the romance feel very genuine and believable. The characters themselves are well developed and easy to root for, and the dynamic between them is simply adorable—especially with the unique touch of having a meerkat shifter as one of the leads. The overall atmosphere of the book feels warm, gentle, and cozy. If you enjoy character-driven romances with a sweet, natural relationship development and charming shifter elements, this is a really enjoyable read. 🐾📚.

This was quite cute. Mika and Gabe were really sweet together and I loved them both. I'm not a fan of the overbearing parent character in a story and I think that stopped me from loving this one, but I did enjoy the way Gabe kept comparing Mika's mother to the mafia. Bruce's father didn't impress me either with what he did to Becca and Gabe's (omega) dad was also a jerk for the first portion of the story. I did very much enjoy Gabe and Becca's relationship as besties (and I liked that it didn't vanish when Mika and Gabe got together). Reading about Gabe and Mika getting to know each other was super sweet and the entire thing was a happy, fluffy read which was just what I was after at this time. If overbearing family is not your thing, tread carefully, but otherwise this is definitely worth checking out if you want something sweet.

This arc is part of a series, but can be read as a standalone. But why would you since the whole series is amazing?
Gabe thinks his bestie Becca will not go through with getting a tattoo on her bachelorette party, but this time she does. So he gets one too, from a magic machine. He ends up with a meerkat tattoo. How cute is that? But it gets even cuter, because this has a connection to the meerkat shifter who Gabe met, because Mika is a friend of the groom.
Lovely story how they are building up there relationship and how Gabe is getting over the things his father told him how an alpha should be. And Talia, Mika his mother, is such a cool woman. I can imagine why Gabe keeps on suggesting she is from a different kind of mob. I like how the details of both their lives are worked out in this story.
This is a complete story, with even an epilogue from ten years in the future. I like that so much when these are in books.
Mated in Ink by Edie Monte is part of the Love Sync Ink and is a sweet, quick read with plenty of charm. The story starts with a spontaneous tattoo during a bachelorette party that leaves Gabe with an unexpected meerkat design, something he didn’t even recognise at first but quickly grows to love.
That tattoo ends up bringing Mika, an alpha meerkat shifter, into his life, and their connection is immediate and adorable. Watching them get to know each other was genuinely sweet, and the fated mates element gives the story a cosy, feel-good vibe. A bit of family tension, particularly with Gabe’s judgemental father, which adds some emotional weight, but the story overall stays fairly light and fluffy. I also really liked Gabe’s friendship with his best friend Becca, it was fun, supportive, and didn’t disappear once the romance started.

Gabe and Mika first see each other at their best friend's bachelor/bachelorette party. During the party the bride-to-be hauls Gabe off to a tattoo parlor. Gabe ends up with a meerkat on his forearm. Mika is testifying at a hearing into an energy project when he spots the meerkat's tail on Gabe's wrist as he sketches the proceedings. A pleasant coffee date quickly brings the two together. Gabe isn't really looking for a mate and Mika isn't the big strong alpha that he's been raised to expect, but maybe expectations are not what fate has in mind. Difference is the spice of life if you just look beyond the expectations. Gabe and Mika aren't the only ones who embrace difference and change. A great story of personal growth and love.

This book was so cute! I've never read about a meerkat shifter before, so that alone made this book really fun to read! Then, when you add in the magical tattoos, that just added an extra element to the story that made it even more enjoyable.
Mika and Gabe are opposites, Mika is neat and tidy and punctual, whereas Gabe is chaotic, messy, and always late. These two couldn't be more different, but even with all of their differences they fit so beautifully together. They accept each other's differences and loves them for it, which I found really beautiful.
Gabe's best friend was an amazing side character, I loved her so much! Oh, and Mika's mom was also an absolute joy to read about as well, I loved how she plotted to get everyone back in her area.
This story was really cute, it has fated mates, magical tattoos, mpreg, found family, and so much more.
Great storyline with loveable characters that really drew this reader into the story. They brought it to life with their vibrant and contrasting personalities. Mika was fairly outgoing with a supportive (almost domaneering) family, while Gabe was more withdrawn with parents who were minimally involved in his life. They'd had significantly different experiences growing up and that shaped their current relationship views. The way the story wove the families together, and included the best friend couple in that bond, was heartwarming. It showed significant storytelling, and writing, talent to pull that off - highly impressed!! I have read many of the books in this series and this is definately among my favorites. Great story!!.

Gabe, a human Omega, was attending his best friend's co-ed bachelorette/bachelor party, where they were going to several different locations. At some point, he and his best friend split off from everybody else, and she takes him to a tattoo shop so they can get their first tattoo ever together. She talks him into getting a mystery tattoo from a machine, and it turns out to be a meerkat. Mika was at the same co-ed party but didn't get a chance to speak to Gabe before he took off. When he's testifying at the courthouse, he's shocked to see the same Omega from the party and feels an immediate pull to him. It doesn't take long for him to realize that Gabe is his fated mate. I really enjoyed this book and I really loved the ending about Jett and hope maybe there'll be a future book.

Mated in Ink is part of the multi author Love Sync Ink series. Each book can be read as a standalone but why not enjoy the whole series. This is the story of Gabe a human omega and Mika an alpha meerkat shifter. The blurb is what drew me into wanting to read this story. I love meerkats and couldn't wait to read about one being a shifter. I loved the characters and world building that went into this book. These two didn't rush into mating which made their relationship more believable. I loved how they chose each other instead of letting fate just demand they be together. It was wonderful watching the chemistry between these two as they worked through the personal issues they had. I really enjoyed this book. I would definitely recommend this book and series. received a free review copy
Gabe goes with his best friend to a tattoo parlor exiting it with a cute meerkat tattooed in his forearm. Mika feels a pull towards Gabe and is happy to find him again and having another chance to ask him for a date. Soon they discover they are mated and from that moment they build a strong relationship. I usually don't like this kind of books where everything happens very quickly, but Edie Monte writes a very enticing book, where Gabe works through some prejudice about alphas, his estranged alpha father and his tense relationship with his omega one. In a short novel the author tells a complete and solid story, with deep characters and even a realistic background to the tale. I loved it!.

When Gabe agreed to get a tattoo, he didn't think it would change his life. I like when a story is about a shifter that is not often used and Mika being a Meerkat shifter ticked that box, even learning a few new things about meerkats. This was a sweet low angst read and I enjoyed every minute. Even though Mika and Gabe were fated mates, their relationship was not rushed as they took time to know each other. Whilst I am not usually a fan of pushy moms and best friends, I really liked Talia and Becca. I did laugh at Gabe's views of Mika's mom and Becca in her own way helped Gabe understand the shifter world. I loved the ending and how it all tied up nicely and whilst the other in the series are from multiple authors, this story has got me checking out the rest.
I absolutely loved reading this book. Gabe is a human omega who was brought up by his omega father with the belief that alphas have to look the part and they had no place in his life. That is until he met Mika, an alpha meerkat. Gabe and his best friend Becca got tattoos from a fae tattooist and Gabe’s tattoo was a beautiful meerkat that looked just like Mika. I enjoyed how Mika didn’t let Gabe see him in a poor light when it came to pushy alpha’s. Their relationship grew through friendship and trust. Until finally, Gabe learned to trust and love Mika as he needed to as his fated mate. It all worked out for them and their happily ever after.

So finding a book with a meerkat shifter? Heaven. As a bonus? The story itself is so lovely, steamy and romantic and just fun. Another story where a tattoo leads to a fated mate, but that's not a bad thing by any means, I love stories like this. On the night of his best friend's bachelorette party, omega Gabe gets a tattoo that is of a meerkat shifter. He meets alpha Mika who is indeed a meerkat shifter and his fated mate, and also happens to be a friend of his best friend's bridegroom. So they are thrown together through the wedding a great deal. It's a lovely story, with a little bit of angst and some very lovely steam. Wonderful story.

When Gabes bestie wants to ditch her bachelorette party for ink, Gabe cannot say no. Gabe goes on a whim and let's fate decide his tattoo, that leads to everything to fall into place. Mika is a sweet meerkat alpha, who fully supports his partner and enables him to be his most open self. I highly appreciated that these two took time to get to know one another before mating. Gabe has hangups due to his omega Dad raising him alone, which you get why he turned out the way he did, and the way Mika was raised by a dominant mother made him the alpha he is. There is something beautiful in the way these two were raised to be so different, yet together they just work as they should. These two take their time in mating and allowing their bond to fully form, which i absolutely commend the author for doing showing fate does not chose their path, but they chose what they needed and wanted to have a real lasting relationship.
Gabe (meerkat) and Mika (human) story was quite interesting with a side of heartache caused by insecurities, misconceptions, past suffering, secrets, doubts and a bit of feeling unworthy. I liked their chemistry, and the sweet meerkat that will melt your heart, as well as the role the tattoo had in their development. Their adventure was sweet and I adored how well they complete each other. It had teasing and shenanigans, new discoveries of self, leaning of a well kept secret that caused suffering, as well as redemption of certain characters. I also adored the bundles of joy that completed their family, and the little snippet of a future adventure.

The characters drove the storyline and they were so very appealing and likeable and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Sweet romance! Becca and Gabe, are besties. They are first in each other's lives. Becca persuades Gabe to get a tattoo and the meercate picks him. A running joke is that Gabe, never saw the TV shows about meercatsm but he finds them delightful. Mika, a meercat alpha, is a bit not a traditional alpha, but he's enough for Gabe. Mika's Mom, Talia is an absolute hoot! Their meeting and courtship is absoultely delightful. There is a large supportive group of family and friends that flow with the courtship. Delightful story, great flow, excellent characters, well done! I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Best friend bonds are the best. This romance shows how having fated mates don't alter the best friend bonds...not one iota...LOL. Who would know that getting a meerkat tattoo would lead to finding your mate...Gabe...finding his meerkat alpha Mika...where else at his best friend wedding party...Nice...not too much angst... different shifters introduced through out this romance...NICE...a lot of humor with the meerkat family...hilarious. A very nice HEA. I enjoyed this one...very entertaining.

This story was a fabulous example of found family. I loved the meerkat community that Mika came from and I loved his incredible inclusive family, especially his mother. While there are many jokes about Mika's mom being part of the mafia, it was very clear she ran that compound and community very well and very lovingly if under a strict hand.
Gabe and Mika were an incredibly cute couple that seemed to genuinely like one another and enjoy their time together immensely. I really appreciated the fact that Gabe was able to give his alpha dad another chance and had a better understanding of why his parents separated in the first place. I like that this story had very little angst overall and there were no major snags in the story that pulled the two main characters apart for any reason. It's nice to read a fun fluffy piece every now and then. And when you toss in the Omegaverse it's always enjoyable. I'm somewhat curious if there will be a future story that includes Gabe and Mika's son, Jett. it's okay if not, but I think it'd be fun if we were given the chance to explore even more shifter types as the ending implies.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. I found Gabe and Mika to be very cute together. It was great how the tattoo brought them together. Mika's mom is quite a force but I liked how she brought all the families together. I hope Jett's story gets written.
The magical tattoos are at it again and Gabe, a human omega gets a tattoo of a meerkat and then meets his fated mate, Mika. Troubles, prejudice, other people, etc get in the way and then they end up together of course. I really like how Edie Monte takes the dynamics of animal meerkat society and translates them to shifters and humans.
Gabe is a human omega and Mika is an alpha meerkat shifter. Once again fate uses a tattoo to bring mates together. While they both have familial baggage that almost kept them apart, they ultimately chose one another and worked through their issues together.
Mated in Ink is part of the multi-author Love Sync Ink series, each can be read as a standalone. This was such a fun and wonderful fated mates story with great characters and a story I just loved. So far the books I have read in this series has been so fun to read.
Loved this story of two free thinkers who marched to the beat of their own drums. Both Gabe and Mika followed paths other than those dictated by society and were rewarded with a lifetime of love.
This was another cute addition to this multi-author series. I really liked how Gabe and Mika developed their relationship a bit even though they were fated mates. The entire story was very entertaining.
