A note from Sophia:
One night, I dreamed about the characters from Connected by Souls. I woke up in the middle of the night, opened my laptop, and started writing. I have always been an avid reader, but I had no clue what I was doing. I was having so much fun writing that I told myself if I only did this for my eyes, it would be enough because it brought me so much joy.
Before I knew it, I had an entire novel sitting in front of me. A novel I cried and laughed with while sitting in the dark by myself, typing away in the still of the night. A story I knew needed to be shared with others.
I've opened up this whole creative world that I didn't know existed inside me, and I never want it to end. Writing has given me something I can own outside of being a mom. A sense of accomplishment and joy that I didn't know was missing.
I look forward to beginning my journey as an author, and I’m excited to connect with my readers on a deeper level. I've put my heart and soul into what I write, and my wish for you is to feel connected to my characters as much as I do.

As always Sophia continues to create worlds that I never want to leave! The Bayside Bolts are going to be one hell of a Hockey Team I will be cheering for all the way to the end.
To start this series Sophia gives us Knox Stone, the grumpy captain who has a chip on his shoulder and his best friend’s little sister, Savi Montgomery, who has always shone way too bright for his dark world.
Watch these two fight their feels and try their damndest to cover their attraction with all the hate in the world. But remember it’s a VERY FINE line between love and hate 😉🔥🔥
There is a lot for these two to come from, and check your triggers. These two had some hard situations happen while growing up, and that trauma has a last impression. What’s interesting to see and watch is how different people let their trauma affect them, and not always does the darkness have to consume you. You can be the narrator of your story, you just have ti take control.
I also loved how Sophia set us up for the rest of this series. You got all of Savi and Knox’s story but we also got to see inside this team and what’s coming for us. I’ve already claimed dibs on the goalie 🤭

I am head over heels in love with Knox and Savi’s relationship! 🩷
Savi is the only sister to four older brothers, so I had no doubt that the girl could hold her own and give it right back to anyone who messed with her and boy did she!! She is probably my favorite of Sophia Belle’s FMCs… well she may tie with Olivia! She was fiesty and witty and kept me giggling with her snarky responses!
And Knox freaking Stone! 😮💨
The mouth and body on this man, gah! Where do I find me a sexy hockey captain?! And his teammates?! Gah I cannot wait for their books.
Sophia Belle delivered the perfect hockey romance book. She gave us the perfect amount of actual hockey playing, spice, and love! Mmmm, I cannot wait for everyone to read this book!

I received an ARC, and it was the best decision I have ever made. Sophia Belle has been teasing this book for a long time — and let me tell you, she edges her readers flawlessly. But the second I heard “broken boy”? I was locked in.
I love that trope. Because when it’s done right, healing doesn’t come from someone magically fixing you. It comes from choosing to put yourself back together — usually because someone makes you want to. And that’s exactly what happens here.
Knox and Savannah (Savi) have known each other nearly their entire lives. When Knox gets traded from his team in New York back to his hometown, he knows it’s only a matter of time before he runs into his best friend’s little sister. He’s tired of living out of hotels, even if he could absolutely afford a place. He’s just… not ready. So Miles suggests he stay at Savi’s house.
And the second that arrangement is suggested?
You just know.
Then we meet Savannah — a veterinarian (which we love, strong career queens always win). She comes home, lays eyes on Knox in her house, and the tension is immediate. But this isn’t some secret-longing, childhood-crush trope.
This is deeper.
They share hurt. They share trauma. They share a history that shaped them both. Their bond isn’t built on past romance — it’s built on surviving something together.
Savannah is determined to take her power back. And the only person she feels truly safe with is Knox. Even when he’s gruff. Even when he’s a little bit of a jerk.
And on the flip side?
Knox may love her brothers — but Savi is the one his soul recognizes as safe.
This book deals with heavy topics. There are hard conversations. Traumatic memories. Real-life scenarios that don’t feel dramatized for effect. Sophia handles it with care, and that’s what makes it stand out. It’s not just another hockey romance — it’s layered and emotional.
But it’s not all heavy. The teammate antics? Hilarious.
The sister-in-law chaos? Also hilarious.
The balance makes the book feel like a warm cup of coffee — comforting, grounding, and quietly powerful.

Honestly, discovering authors like Sophia through social media is one of my favorite things about being in this space. I hadn’t read her backlist before this — and now I’m fully aware I’ve been missing out.

Okayyy... lots to unpack with this read... my first read by Sophia and I was impressed I have to say! I was slightly alarmed that we seemed to be all good by 60% ish - how much more of the story did we need but the rest of the book didnt disappoint 👌
