My 7yro. really enjoys this series of readers. It's a little blah for my liking, but definitely gives Peyton a feeling of accomplishment when completing this chapter book.
Whimsical, yes, but the storyline felt so pointless to me. Animals coming to w wizard to be changed into other animals because they're in love with a different species? What???
Aptly juvenile humor. Not episodic... your child will have to read the whole thing to get to the climax and best part. You probably don't want to give it to somebody not ready for it, as it's not worth an adult's time. Imo.
(But I'm going to go ahead and read the other one I got with it anyway. :)
