Serenity Point #2

Always and Forever

Rate this book
Does wanting to slap the hell out of Brody Kelly make me a bad person? How about setting his hair on fire?

No, I'm not a psycho.

Yes, I AM angry.

See, a year ago, my sweet and sexy firefighter boyfriend and I broke up over something extremely ridiculous. We'd been together since we were sophomores in high school, but that was the end of that. Almost twelve years of that, mind you.

The looks he gives me tell me he still wants me. Our latest encounter has me thinking he's trying to win me back.

But I'm not willing to give in so easily.

I don't know why he used our argument as an excuse to break up, but I'm going to find out. I've lived in Serenity Point all my life and have connections and I’m not afraid to use them to get to the bottom of things.

What I am afraid of is finding something I won’t be able to handle.

He used to call me his Always and Forever.

But the secrets he’s keeping might tear us apart for good.

3.5 stars!

I was able to read it last week when I lost my Internet connection and I enjoyed it. There's something very appealing about this story to me. Maybe it's the second-chance at love theme or maybe it's the small-town setting, whatever it is, this was a good read overall.

Piper and Brody are the quintessential couple that started out as high school sweethearts and remained in love and devoted to each other as the years go by. But then out of the blue, Brody broke up with Piper with no explanation as to why. Brokenhearted and confused Piper spent the better part of the year trying to understand why Brody broke up with her without warning. Just when she's finally over him, Brody decided he wants Piper back.

Readers get to spend time with these two characters as they try to learn to trust each other again and get to the bottom of why Brody broke up with Piper in the first place. While the main characters have layers of complexity to them, the secondary characters do not. They're very one-dimensional especially the villains in the story. Even so, these characters and their actions served to move the plot along even though some of it are a bit contrived for my taste.

Still, this was enjoyable. I loved the chemistry between the hero and the heroine. I especially loved the way other the couples are set up for their own book in the series giving us something to look forward to.

I feel like I’ve been giving out a lot of two stars lately... which I hate... but I hold books I actually pay for at a higher standard than those I can read free on KU… and I'm cleaning out a bunch of these old ones that I've avoided for years, so I suppose it’s to be expected. I don’t feel like I can really review it without giving spoilers, so if you want zero details stop after this.

Always and Forever is a second chance romance between Brody and Piper. The blurb sets it up, the two were together since HS (13 years) when he randomly picked a fight and broke up with her out of the blue without an explanation other than it’s not working. When the book starts, they’ve been broken up a year and haven’t spoken since.

Without giving spoilers, the “catalyst” is definitely a gray area that I think most reviewers would overlook. My main issue was the ginormous plot holes that made the actions/decisions illogical and nonsensical. It’s almost like the author didn’t keep track or really think about what she was telling us because it made a potentially serious book that could’ve maybe provided some angst feel silly. Other problems are the large amounts of secondary character filler and the overall immaturity of the main characters. These two are 29 and act like they’re in HS.

Cheating or not?
Is it cheating when the person is drugged and does not remember that he almost had sex with another woman?
I was in doubt.
Our hero never behaved in this way and has always been faithful. But under the effect of the drug he behaved out of the ordinary.

Big spoiler here==>

It’s been over a year since Brody and I broke up and it hasn’t been a lot of fun. I mean, Jesus, we’d been together since we were sophomores in high school. He’d been my first everything. He’d been my only everything. And I thought I knew him but apparently not.

And that’s when he’d told me he “couldn’t do this anymore” and that we were over then he’d gotten dressed and left.

Just like that.

Hell, I’d even made a last-ditch attempt to embarrass the truth out of him by confronting him at the firehouse in front of his fellow firemen (I know, lame, but I’d been brokenhearted and desperate and clearly out of my mind), and when he’d looked at me coldly telling me for the twentieth time it was because he wanted five kids, I’d given up.

He misses me.

Because a fish died.

He misses me.

Because now I guess he’s realizing he’s truly alone.

Just like I’ve been for the past year.

And he hasn’t talked to me in such a long time.

But he finally comes to me because of an idiotic fish.

“This whole thing is weird,” I mumble.

“Yeah, it really is. You’d think I would’ve at least heard something about why he did it but I got nothin’,” she replies.

“That is strange,” I agree.

I sit up quickly. “Yeah, he loves me so much that he broke up with me because of a fucking lame reason! And then he doesn’t talk to me for a year! Yep! That’s true love for you, right there!”

I can’t help but snort. “That’s it, isn’t it? You broke up with me because you slept with another woman and got her pregnant. I’m right, aren’t I?”

“Brody left with Peyton and Hannah. As far as Sarah knew, they went to Peyton’s house. So if the baby’s his, that’s where they did the deed.”

“How fucking selfish can you be? You know I’ve spent the past year banging my head against the wall trying to figure out what I did wrong! Was I not good enough for you? Did you fall out of love with me? Did you fall for another woman?”

4.5 Fantastic Stars!

Review by Lisa Kane

Wouldn't it be nice if our days were filled with the first few moments of waking that we experience when everything's uncomplicated and sweet and innocent? But I guess they've already discovered how to make that happen. It's called Xanax.

Piper Knowlton and Brody Kelly have been together since their sophomore year of high school. Twelve years later and things are still going strong. Up until Piper goes out of town to see her sister's new baby, Addie. When she comes back, Brody is distant, but she doesn't think much of it. It seemed as if he wanted to tell her something and then he would just change the subject. Then they have the most ridiculous fight about children. Piper wants 2 and Brody insists they have to have 5. It all gets blown out of proportion and they fight off and on for three days about it. After they make love one night, he gets up, tells her "he couldn't do this anymore" and that they were over. He got dressed and left. No matter how many times she tried to talk to him, he avoided her.

They live in a small town named Serenity Point-you know the type-everyone knows everyone else's business. Brody and Piper were the unofficial town sweethearts. He just became a fireman and she owns a small shop, Knowlton's Knick Knacks selling vintage items and antiques. It's been a year since their break up and she's tried to move on. She had a couple of dates with a great guy named Alex, but she just wasn't ready to let go of Brody. It didn't help that on one of the dates they ran into Brody-who seemed pissed that she was out with someone.

But she sees him on the street and for the first time she didn't cry afterwards. She thinks maybe, finally, she is ready to let go. Her sisters Greer and Ryan have been the ones to keep her centered, to keep her going on.

"Does this mean I'm over him?" I whisper?
She purses her lips and shrugs. "I don't know Piper. Let's just say it's a start, okay?"

But he shows up at her shop and wants to talk to her. Why after all this time? I't s because his pet fish, Dory died. The one they won together at a carnival. Huh? She can't believe after all this time; he wants to talk to her, after ignoring her for over a year and because of a dead fish. So she lets him have it and tells him today was the first day she didn't cry after seeing him.

He misses me.
Because a fish died.
He misses me.
Because now I guess he's realizing he's truly alone.
Just like I've been for the past year.
And he hasn't talked to me in such a long time.
But he finally comes to me because of an idiotic fish.

She is moving on and he wants to know if it's because of the guy she's been seeing (you mean the one she had 2 dates with 3 months ago?) She lets him know she hasn't been able to move on and it's his fault. He eats that up with a spoon.

"And what's more is, he didn't have a problem with me only wanting two kids!" total lie because Alex and I never talked about kids.

"You listen to me, Piper, and listen good. I love you. You're mine! I wanted to rip that f#*ker's head off when I saw him with you and Jen's but knew I had no right. I've got a right now."

Hmmm...things are getting down right interesting!

Piper is determined not to let this set her back. She's spent a year of her life going over and over things trying to understand why Brody broke up with her after all these years. Did he fall out of love with her? Did she do something wrong? He isn't dating anyone that she knows of but then why?

And it's quite lovely under the water, the only sound being the solid thrum of my heart beating in my ears. And it's my heart, a heart that's been destroyed this past year, completely obliterated, yet on it beats, that fills me with a sense of pride knowing that I myself didn't break.

In every small town there is a bitch. Never fails. And Peyton, she gives new meaning to the word bitch. It's no secret this town slut has wanted Brody for a good long time. But when she keeps dropping hints to Piper about things with Brody, it's all about to explode wide open. And when Piper puts the pieces together and confronts Brody about it-my stomach as in knots and I swear big, fat ugly tears rolled down my face for this girl. Her heart is shattered; it's all she can do not to collapse to her knees in front of Brody. I hated him, I wanted to take one of the station's fire hoses and choke the living hell out of this man. But I knew he loved her, I knew this guy was suffering. I just kept holding on to hope...

I turn, and latching onto Ryan's arm to keep me from crashing to the floor, walk out of the station as dignified as I can, or as much as someone whose whole world utterly and completely crashes and burns right before her very eyes.

Most of the remainder of the book is Piper trying to get over the devastation from Brody's secrets and Brody trying to get Piper back. But does he deserve a chance to explain?

Brody: Baby, I'm sorry about everything. I want to explain. Please give me a chance.

What do you do? Do you throw away every trace of this man from your life, this same man who has been a part of you since you were 16 or do you at least listen to what he has to say before you pour gasoline on his car and watch it burn?

"You're so right. But I wanna explain it all to you. Should've done it in the first place but I guess I was scared of losing you. Lost you anyway."

These were the parts in the story that just crushed me -for both of them.

"I-I don't want to hear anymore," I protest, my hands curling up to his forearms trying to pry them off me.
"Baby," he whispers, his lips at the top of my head. "I know it's hard to hear. I'm sorry. But I want you to know everything."

At this point I wasn't sure I wanted to know everything!

"I don't know if I can," I whisper as tears sting the backs of my eyes.
"You can, he says at my ear. "You're strong. I know that now. I want you to know everything as we can move forward."

Once it was all out there, I swear I felt like a limp dishrag. My head was about to explode and my eyes were so swollen. But those moments, as hard as they were to read, are the times that Brody was at his most vulnerable. Opening his heart up, bearing his soul.

As angsty as this book is, there are so many witty, funny moments that take the edge off the tension. It is an absolute delight.

"Guess she was a hit and run then."
A screw and flew," she says.
"A f#*k and duck."
"A nail and bail."
A hump and jump."
"A hit and flit."
"A smash and dash."
A root and scoot."

Be prepared to love Brody when you want to hate him, to laugh when you know you should be crying and to love Piper beyond belief. I loved this book so much I am going back and reading Bigger Than the Sky. (Brody's brother Kade's story)

Brody: I love you too, baby. Can't wait for you to be mine.

I have to say that I am so glad I read this book during my vacation. I received it on Wednesday night for a blog post on Friday. I started it when I crawled into bed and didn't close my eyes until I was finished. That's right, I read it in one sitting in the middle of the night. I was really surprised to find myself so engrossed in the book that I didn't care how late it was, I needed to know what was going to happen between Piper and Brody. Luckily I didn't have to get up in the morning to go to work.

I loved Piper. She has such a fun, out going personality it was hard not to love her. Her witty comments add some comic relief to what could be a very tension filled story; keeping the book more light-hearted. The story starts with her one year after Brody dumped her for no apparent reason and she is finally to the point where she doesn't burst into tears when she sees him in public. It's that day he chooses to let her know that he misses her and that she is still his. The drama starts right off the bat. Drama that sucked me in immediately.

I didn't think very highly of Brody. What a jerk. If he truly loved Piper, he would have told her what was going on. Even if he felt like he couldn't be with her, he should have trusted her with the truth rather than let her suffer with the unknown for over a year. It's a small town, he knew what effect he had on her and it was totally unfair.

Even if I didn't like Brody very much, he seemed genuine in his quest to get Piper back and I was routing for their HEA. I just couldn't put the book down until I saw how all of it played out.

This book is part of a series, but can easily be read as a stand alone. There is no cliffhanger ending and no violence. The story is told completely from Pipers point of view. I can't wait to read more about the members of Serenity Point.

H breaks up with long time girlfriend (h) without giving any explanation. A year and a half goes by, and the h is still heartbroken. H shows up and tells the h, she only belongs to him, and quickly the h gives in. Felt like I was reading about a couple in high school, due to the maturity level and lack of communication.

Not as good as book 1, liked the story and that particular couple much better than this one. The H/h featured in this story broke up in bk 1 and its drawn out too long here. A little too silly at times. Still, I could be interested in a bk 3, should there be one.

Always and fover

Seeing Harper Bentley's name in my email is always a happy day. Sometimes it's just a howdy (which is awesome) but sometimes it's a book. (She has this really interesting habit of finishing a book, posting it online and emailing it out within a few hours. She's an odd duck, but man I love her.)
As always, I really enjoyed Always & Forever - the next book in the Serenity Point series.

Overall Rating: 4 stars- Kept telling myself “just one more chapter.”

In the few years that I've been reviewing books (for the blog and casually before that) I've learned things I tend not to love. I don't like cowboys. I don't like small town stories. I don't like virgin stories. But, the rules exist to be broken. Serenity Point is a series set in a small town.
Bigger Than the Sky didn't have as much of a small-town feel as Always and Forever does, but they both exist in the tiny cowtown known as Serenity Point.

This book definitely all about the small town feel. I actually grew up in a teeny tiny town (population: 3000) so I get it. You break up with someone but you will run into him a 1000 times because there are just only so many places you will be.
"Yeah!" Ryan adds. "you can be like Veronica Mars all sneaky and shit!" I'll help you too!"

The most interesting part of Always & Forever is finding out what the hell is wrong with Brody. I mean that in the most shake-some-sense-into-him way possible. Because seriously, Brody? Get your crap together, buddy.

Piper is actually pretty awesome. A really great heroine, though I must say, nicer than me. Forgiving Brody's secret? Got it. But forgiving Brody being such an idiot about it? Gah! Must be true love because otherwise, she should have beat him about the head repeatedly.
"If you lose...You sit on my face."

I'm babbling, because it's that kind of story. Brody won't be my book boyfriend because he's a dipshit. But he really loves Piper and Piper is awesome and really loves him, so I'm glad to see them get their stuff worked out.

There are also some very satisfying moments when the Regina George of the town gets her comeuppance. I think that was actually more satisfying than the sex. (And Harper always writes hot sex, so you know it's good.)
"And P.S. I hate Peyton."

The long and short of it is that Always & Forever is a great addition to the Serenity Point series. The take on love is unique and this is totally worth reading.
"I told him to take what was hit and leave. You know what he did?"

"What?"

"He picked me up and went out the front door."

Smut Factor: 4 stars- Smokin’ Hot!
Character likability: 3 stars: Didn’t hate them.
Storytelling: 5 stars- I wake up thinking this really happened.
Writing and editing quality:
5 stars - Excellent!

I received this book as an ARC, in exchange for an honest review.
I give this book 5 stars.

I enjoyed all the characters, the writing, the story line, the beginning, the end, the middle, the love, the hate, the bad, the ugly, the truth, the end!!!

I hurry and read "Big As The Sky" first, because I am so ADD about reading book two before one, lol.
I absolutely loved that one, and all those characters, so I knew I would love Always and Forever, which also had me familiar with all the characters, which of course is something else that I have to have.

My reviews aren't always that fabulous, you won't ever find any of my reviews explaining what the whole book is about, for the simple fact, that's why the author writes a synopsis. Also most of the reviews I read do the same thing, so I try not to consume to much of your time; but at the same time making sure you get the gist of it.

With all that crap being sad, here are some of my feelings on this book.

Haters: Peyton & Hannah!
You will see why when you read this book, not giving anything away here.

Love: Brody, Piper, Kade, Amelia, Greer & Ryan.

They are all awesome. Ryan is a hoot, she will keep you laughing through out the entire book.
Greer, is great, the kind of sister I would love to have.
Kade is, well he is Kade, and will always be a dream.
Piper, she is a wonderful woman, who has herself together, and her heart on her sleeve, which in her defense, I would be the same. She is a successful business woman, beautiful inside and out.

Brody, ahhhhhh Brodyyyyyy!!!!
Well like his brother, he has it all, looks, body, great package, muscle, looks, body, great package. O right, I said that ;)
And besides the great stuff, he also knows what he wants, and knows how to treat his woman. One thing is certain, he takes care of her needs pretty well, if you get me. And well, we all know how important that is, right?!!!!

Brody & Piper together - well they were meant to be together. Like America's #1 couple, together.
They know each other's body's very well, also each other's heart, and of course that is an important factor in any relationship. And since they had that, well, that would be why there bedroom performances were not lacking.

As I approached the last pages of this book, I started getting all sad, and mad. If that even makes since. I just didn't want it to end, it could have went on another 300 pages, and I would have been all, awww puppy dogs and rainbows. lol

I greatly enjoyed this read. I will also be looking for other books in this series, and also by this author.

Thank you for your trust in the ARC.

5 'YOU'RE MY ALWAYS AND FOREVER' STARS!!

When i read, Bigger Than The Sky, the first book in the Serenity Point series, I fell in love. Instantly, deeply, HARD. With the characters, with the town of Serenity Point, and with Harper Bentley's writing style. I sought her out on Facebook. I became a follower and a member of her street team so that I could stalk her and periodically remind (ok, not so much "periodically" more like with disturbing regularity, but whatever) her that Brody and Piper's story needed to be told and that I was patiently (ok, not so patiently) waiting for it.

Finally, FINALLY, we had a release date. We had teasers. We had excerpts. And with each one, my anticipation, which was great, grew. Harper did not disappoint me. I loved, LOVED Piper and Brody's story!! Oh, it ticked me off in places, and I definitely wanted to smack Brody upside the head a few times.

Brody Kelly and Piper Knowlton have been together since they were teenagers. Now in their late twenties, after 12 years together, one day Brody just up and ended it with Piper without an explanation. Piper spent that year apart from Brody questioning everything about herself trying to figure out what happened. Brody had enough, he wanted Piper back. Piper wanted answers, Brody wanted the chance to tell her everything and to get his girl back. I don't want to spoil this story in any way for anyone, so I'll only say what happened to Brody was awful, and it was a deviously evil and cruel plan masterminded by a manipulative, vicious and despicable person.

Harper is a very talented author. She gave her readers a well written and developed story with an interesting plot. It was sexy and steamy and suspenseful and so, so very good. I can't wait for more from her, and especially what comes next in Serenity Point. (cough, cough *Ryan and Mike* cough, cough) Thank you, Harper, for giving us a book that was very much worth the wait. I loved it, I love this series, I love your writing. Great job, lady!!

When I saw the blurb for this novel, I just knew I had to read it because I found it absolutely freaking HILARIOUS! In this second-chance romance, Piper bring so much sass and hilarity to this book, but above that, she is the girl who fell whole heartedly in love with the guy and knew he was her 'forever'.
Originally high school sweethearts, Piper and Brody had talked about their future and what it entails after twelve years together.
But then out of nowhere, Brody breaks up with Piper leaving her devastated with no explanation.
So, for the next year, Piper is bitter, down right PISSED OFF and spends a lot of her time trying to find out what the hell went so wrong. With support of her best friend and family, Piper gets through the tough time like a champ!
This book is full of angst, I found myself shouting out at certain scenes like "JUST FREAKING TELL HER DAMN IT" and "SWEET MOTHER OF ALL THAT IS HOLY WILL THEY JUST FREAKING GET IT ON ALREADY"
If you read the first book in this series and found Kade Kelly delicious (HELL YEAH HE WAS), let me drop this mother, THERE IS NOTHING QUITE LIKE BRODY OVARY EXPLODING KELLY'S dirty talk! I swear, I found myself panting like a dog and needed a bucket of ice water or fifteen to throw all over myself! He is SMOKIN'!
The time that is lost between Piper and Brody is made up for, but not without the drama!
I adored Piper's best friend, Ryan and would LOVE to see more from her! The woman is an absolute HOOT and totally portrayed and written in a fabulous way!
Other characters will make you want to add names to your own personal 'shit list' because seriously.......get me a chainsaw, a shovel and a truck! I'LL BE GOOD TO GO!
I don't want to spoil what happens in Piper and Brody's story, but let me tell you, it did not disappoint.
The story is fast paced and a whole whirlwind of emotions! Harper Bentley is a truly talented author and this second book in the series is a great addition!
4.5 stars!

OMG How much did I love this book !! It had all that angsty drama that I loved from the first book and if you thought Kade Kelly was HOT HOLY CRAP wait until you get some of Brody Kelly in action !! His dirty talking is on point and never mind panty melting this guy is freakin panty disintegrating !! If that even makes sense. As soon as I started reading I immediately recalled the drama that was going on involving Brody ,Kade and that nasty B word that shall remain nameless. That chick is a freakin piece of work and I was glad she got hers , I swear I didn't feel an ounce of guilt for her.

In Kade and Amelia's book we know that Piper and Brody were high school sweethearts that had known each other for a very long time. They broke up suddenly and now we get Piper's POV and see the heartache she has suffered for the past year trying to get over Brody while living in the same small town. All this time Brody has been hiding the real reason for the break up but now he is sick of being without Piper BUT to get her back he has to lay it all on the line and pray she gets it. And so the rollercoaster of angst , drama , heartache and emotion takes off. You barely get a chance to breathe with these two on their missions. I think I actually stopped breathing during a few parts !! Getting back to the chemistry of Brody and Piper , can you say SCORCHING !! Knowing how close they were and seeing how much the crave each other still you just knew it would be hot. I loved these two and I was eating up the pages so fast. I finished in a matter of hours and instantly missed them when I was done.

There are a few characters that I would love to see more from so I am hoping , praying , begging that we can get those stories too !! I am so glad I signed on for this and look forward to more from this series and really anything from this author because the few things I have read I have loved.

Piper and Brody were each other's first loves, and were happily together for twelve years. Suddenly Brody breaks up with Piper for no identifiable reason. It's been a rough year for Piper who has been dealing with a lot of grief, anger, and confusion since the break up. Brody suddenly bids a large amount to win Piper for a day in a local charity auction. While Piper would love to understand what happened in their relationship, she needs to know all the secrets that have been kept from her.

Piper is an easy character to relate to and enjoy. She is fun, and is living the life she wants. It is difficult to see how much pain she has been through and continues to experience, and how there are a few people who seem to know more than she does about the end of her relationship with Brody. Brody was a tougher character for me to care about. He hurt Piper a lot, and even though he was making some pretty strong efforts to put their relationship back together, it was difficult to know what to think without all the information. Once I had a better sense of who both characters were and how they were together I was really hoping they would be able to make things work. They obviously have chemistry and I love the humor they both bring to the relationship.

There was definitely some pretty crazy stuff going on here, which went in directions I didn't expect. Overall, I did enjoy the story and stay engaged throughout. I would read more by this author in the future. 3.5 stars

I have been dying to read Brody and Piper's story ever since I read Bigger Than the Sky and Always and Forever completely exceeded my expectations! I was a little nervous to read it at first because I was sure it was going to angsty considering everything we learned in the first book, but that couldn't and wouldn't have stopped me from reading this book because I knew every bit of heartache would be worth it in the end and I knew that I would enjoy it no matter what - and I was not wrong! Always and Forever was absolutely spectacular and I loved it wholeheartedly!!

Well, I don't know if I can pick which Matthew brother that I love more, but I can tell you that Brody is every bit as swoon worthy as his brother! Man, I'm telling you, there is just something about those men that having me sighing, shivering, and biting my lip! But I'll just talk about Brody now because while he's got the whole alpha-possessiveness-growly thing down like Kade - he's also very different. Brody, despite being a total jerk-faced dork for awhile, is actually a very fun guy to be around. He's easygoing and funny and a jokester. There were definitely times when I wanted to kill him, but that didn't stop me from loving him!

I've been trying to think of what to write for Piper, but the words just aren't coming. I guess I should start by saying that I connected to her 100 percent. I felt every one of her emotions and while I didn't experience every one of them like her confusion and uncertainty about Brody because I knew why he broke up for her, I did experience her heartbreak and her happiness. She's a strong heroine, she's a fighter, she's forgiving, and she never really gave up on her and Brody. Piper and Brody are amazing and there could not have been a better pair for this story than these two!

Alway and Forever made me feel - oh boy, did it make me feel! I thought it broke my heart when Piper found out the truth or at least what she thinks is the truth, but that was nothing compared to what I felt later. I felt that kind of sharp, stabbing pain in your heart that's so painful that it's hard to focus on anything, it's hard to breathe, and you just can't even cry, but I promise you it did not last long and the delayed tears that came after we're mostly ones of relief and happiness. And while this book will give your heart a beating, it will also make you laugh a lot, make you happy, make you sigh and smile big just like it did with me. Always and Forever is a beautiful, passionate, painful but completely worth it, exceptional read and I'll love it Always and Forever!

Always and Forever is told only from Piper's POV, I LOVED their HEA ending, and it should really be read after the first book because it will be more enjoyable and less confusing. I can't wait for the next book in this amazing series!!

In life we live for those moments. The moments where you can look back in your life and have no regrets. Moments of happiness, second chances and love. And within those moments, the one moment that will always be forever remembered are the ones knowing that you found that person who can complete you. The one true thing that can be permanent is the love you share with that person always and forever. No matter the situations may be. And in Harper Bentley's Always and Forever, she reminds us all that a rare love is worth treasuring always and forever.

Always and Forever is a deeply touching emotional yet endearing story of two people getting their second chance at love. Two people who were meant to have their lives crossed and fated to meet. And when some bad decisions are made, the love Brody and Piper have for each other might be ruined forever.

In this beautiful portrayal of passion, love, forgiveness, acceptance and healing the author truly captures the raw aspects of love. Love is not perfect by all means, but when a journey is taken by two people who are willing to perfect their love, it is a reminder that love will always prevail.

Ms. Bentley writes such hot and lustful scenes that will make your imagination go into overdrive. She'll have you hyperventilating due to these scenes she so generously gives her readers to experience and to keep them from wanting more. I can't wait to play with her other characters.

5 Stars!

I loved this book. Everything this author has written to date is absolutely brilliant. This book was no different and took her writing to a whole new level. It was sexy, sweet, fun, emotional, and had quite a few twists and turns along the way. This series is set in a sweet little town where gossip and drama are high in demand. This second chance romance made me smile, swoon, laugh, and shed a few tears along the way. Get ready for a sweet and fun ride to happily ever after.

This is Piper and Brody's story. Piper and Brody were once in love. They once thought they would be each other's forever. The sky was the limit until something happens. It's been a year since Brody broke Piper's heart. It's been a year since he left and her heart is still breaking. She doesn't know why he left but she plans to find out and not let anyone get in their path. He said it would be always and forever for them. Can these two find a way to mend their mistakes and find a happy ending?

I loved these two together. Piper was sassy and tenacious. She was also broken hearted and my heart bled for her. I give it to her though... she was so strong and confronted her demons. I also liked Brody. God I wanted to shake him a few times but nonetheless I still swooned for him. He was a good man with a heart of gold. I was rooting for these two.

I highly recommend this book.

Let me start off by saying that I really loved Bigger than the Sky a whole lot, well loved it BIGGER THAN THE SKY and I was so looking forward to Brody's book as there are many things that happen in book 1 that will lead into this book. And let me tell you Harper did not disappoint. I fell head over heels for Brody and if it was possible I love him even more throughout this one. He made mistakes and one of those being what he did to Piper his true love/soulmate. He broke her heart for what appeared to be no good reason and now after a year of nothing he comes into her shop and says he misses her. Well let me tell you, Piper is raving mad at him and with good reason. He is going to have to do a whole lot of groveling to fix this mess he created. I love Piper and her spirit and love that she makes him work for that second chance. This book is another fabulous book and one I will read over and over again ALWAYS AND FOREVER. (Sorry couldn't help myself..lol) But really you need to go get both these books. You will not be sorry!! They both are amazing!! A solid 5 AMAZEBALLS stars from me!! A copy was given in exchange for an honest review.

I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, secrets, betrayal, suspense, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Bigger Than the Sky (Serenity Point, #1)

This is Piper and Brody’s story. Piper and Brody were in love up until Brody started acting weird and broke it off with Piper. Brody has hardly spoken to Piper in a year. All of a sudden he wants her back. She is broken and every time she opens her heart to him he ends up breaking it more and more. Secrets are revealed but will the secrets make everything better or worse? What if everything you thought you knew was a lie? Would you be able to overlook the true lies and look at the deeper picture and find out the truth? Is the love you both have for each other true? Or when the dust settles will you just be broken and alone?

I loved these characters and also the side characters. This is a small town where everyone is in everyone else’s business. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Where do I begin?! First you get Kade in book one and now I get Brody in book 2... Hello boys ;)
Piper Knowlton and Brody Kelly have been together forever and then one day Brody up and broke up with her. She was left broken hearted and left with not knowing the true reason why he left her. They live in a very small town and the second they split up everyone knew about it. Little did Piper know that Brody was just as tore up about their break as she was?
Now this book is super-hot and let’s just say that there are lots of lies and secrets in this book. I would have never guessed that things went down the way they did.
Again Harper Bentley you flipping rock! The way you just publish these crazy awesome books left and right. I love it! AND let’s not get started and these sexy as sin men you have in your books. If I had to pick one, I think I would start to cry from the pressure because I would want all of them.

And last but not least....I cried when I read the acknowledgements!

Reviewed for Hooked on Books---4 stars!

I didn't care for Brody at first; I thought he was a douche. I later found out that he had typical mad-syndrome. :)---Lack of communication can do that to you! It's obvious that him and Piper are made for each-other,but for some reason, he splits suddenly. Piper spends over a year trying to get over him and almost has it licked when he walks in to her business and shatters her control. She tries to stay away from him, but finds it's useless until a MAJOR secret comes out---the reason he was all douchey and breaks up with her...a secret that almost destroys her and she vows to get to the bottom of it once and for all.
Plenty of drama for the drama lover, plenty of hotness, and most of all, a well-written second chance love story. Definitely enjoyed. Hope I get the chance to read more of this author. :)

I love Serenity Point.....

While you basically know the story of Brody and Piper from the first book, this was a nice completion to their story. But if I had to chose, I do love me some Kade more. I loved the friendship between Ryan and Piper, it made me LOL several times. The chemistry between Brody and Piper was hot. As always, Harper Bentley is one of my favorite authors and I look forward to more from her. 5⭐️ -Amanda at WickedGoodReads @wickedgoodblog

This book was just as amazing as the first in the series! You'll love and hate the characters! You'd like to reach into the book and smack him a time or two as well.. and scream!

You know Piper and Brody have been together for 12 years but then he just dumps her....
I wish he could have told her.. but when he does, what will happen?

This book is hot. You'll enjoy these two together... and hurt for them too!

Another amazing book in this series!

I thought this book was funny, god the central female had me cracking up, tender and romantic. Brody kinda got on my nerves and i hated him for how he made Piper feel. But i have to give the author credit she turned my opinion around on him. I have read a number of Harper Bentley books and she always knows how to weave a great story. Really enjoyed this romance story and i as always love the Serenity Point location it is all set in :)

4.5 shining stars!!!!! The only reason I nicked half a star is because again miscommunication was a huge factor. But overall, I absolutely adored piper and Brody together!!! Their story made me want to rip my hair out and hug the shit out of piper. Ugh, the feels. Soooo good tho. Now, is this is end? I'd live a Ryan/mike/drew book!

The story itself did not wow me. The hero broke the heroine's heart over some drama and total lack of communication which I felt the circumstances were ridiculous. There was some heat, and Brody was sexy - but he and Piper were too immature as I felt I was reading a high school romance rather than a couple in their late twenties.
