Wow. What an absolutely classist, body shaming snob Ann Corio is! Some good photos, thankfully, but if you want real burly history rather than one prude’s opinion on morality in entertainment, there are much better books out there.

Was hoping to find more info on the group my great grandmother danced with, The Social Maids. Interesting read, not sure the authenticity of facts.
