I don't like the name but i read the book and i liked it.

I thought this book was very different to Lynda's previous books, which I found refreshing. Whilst I've loved all of Lynda's books, its nice to have something a little different. This is definitely a riches to rags story. I love Lynda's ability to pull off accents on paper. It gets you right into character, say what! I think I preferred the best friend Chelsea to the main character Poppy but I did like Poppy. I loved Balls too. He was too funny and I'm in love with Taylor. Another great story by Lynda and I can't wait for the next.... definitely worth a read. Rory's is still my fav xx

I am now the proud owner of a box full of tena lady. This was another fabulous witty laugh out loud book by Lynda which really made me chuckle.This book warmed me up no end. We meet Poppy,a wealthy high society girl who ends up living on a boat. I'm saying no more as you really need to read this heart warming funny book yourselves.

Honestly i should have hated this chick lit and at times I did but there were also times where i laughed out loud and I cannot totally trash the book.

I would like to thank the author and Tay for sending me a copy of this book in exchange for a fair and honest review.
When we first meet Poppy she has it all, she is the trust fund daughter of an MP, she also has a millionaire fiancé. Within in the blink of an eye it is all taken away when her father is arrested for fraud. Her fiancé unceremoniously dumps her and she is forced to sell all her belongings to make ends meet.
She is forced to move on the houseboat (Lynda had me giggling away at Poppy’s thinking she was moving to a massive yacht. Here she meets the hunky neighbour Taylor. There are lots of laugh out loud moments in this book.
Poppy is one of those characters you either love or hate, personally I found her amusing, she is a little self-absorbed but it easy to see why when she is brought up in such a privileged way. Taylor however doesn’t let this come between them. There are a whole host of other characters, Chelsea Poppy's friend, her mother is so funny and Jack Diamond from another of Lynda's books.
The whole story is fabulously funny and just what is needed to liven up a cold night. It’s the first of Lynda’s books I have read but will be looking out for more from her.

I have read many of Lynda Renham’s books. This is by far my favorite so far. Instead of being your typical rags to riches story, this is the exact opposite. Can you imagine living in a high rent area then being forced to live on a boat (not a yacht)? I loved the twist and it not being the same ole same ole story.
The characters made me laugh, the dialogues had made me giggling, and the entire story made me smile. Taylor is my favorite character. He is kept such a secret in the story. Lynda keeps him mysterious and sexy. I love how he just sweeps in and saves Poppy so many times, yet Poppy doesn’t see him as anything but a savior for the longest time. I also love how Taylor realizes Poppy is a little (okay a lot) into herself and doesn’t hold that against her. Then there is Chelsea. She came across to me as the ditzy friend. She opens her mouth without thinking, sticks her nose into everyone’s issues, yet everyone loves her.
If you are looking for a fun and easy read Fudge Berries and Frog Knickers is what you are looking for. This is the perfect book.

Oh my goodness, I absolutely adored this book, this was a story to bring some cheer on a very cold winter’s day. Lynda Renham has such a wicked sense of humour. I love a book that makes you laugh out loud but also keeps you enthralled with the story. This is a rags to riches reversal story. Poppy has it all: wealth, big house, high society friends and she thought happiness with her forthcoming nuptials with Lord Roddy. When her wealth is suddenly ‘frozen’ her life takes an unexpected turn. An adventure, she wishes she could wake up and realise it was only a dream, begins. Poppy literally has to start again; new home, new friends, find a job!!! She and her society friends experience lots of firsts in this very funny novel. I loved how the barriers of working class and higher class were broken and friendships and alliances were made. Lynda has created some wonderful characters in this novel, all very unique with great comical moments that will have me giggling for a long time, her mum is a scream and Chelsea is loveable. This novel is a witty, romantic, heart warming 5/5* read.

I wouldn't expect anything less from Lynda, a laugh out loud book from the start. Poppy finds herself suddenly penniless due to her ''daddy'' and there the comedy starts, everything suddenly goes very very wrong, she loses rat (hehe), loses her home and everything with it. Poppy is suddenly an outcast to to her society, everyone apart from her lovable friend Chelsea, who had me giggling throughout the book, and her mum, whose favourite past time is tossing back... well the less said about that the better. Poppy moves onto a boat as that's all her funds will stretch to, where she mixes with proper roughage (if that's not a word it should be) who actually turn out to be very lovely people. Que Poppy falling in love but not realising it ,leaving me, the reader, anxious to find out what happens. This book had me me in stitches throughout, getting strange looks from my husband as i lay in bed snorting while reading this. I find my self thinking i wish i lived in Lynda Renhams head so I could constantly be reading one of her books. That way it would never end.

Go one click today if you havent read this book yet. I couldnt stop laughing. Hope Lynda brings books out about the other characters in this book. I would love to read spin offs. Poppy Wellesley is a rich, entitled socialite, and happily so. She is the daughter of Sir Rupert Wellesley, Minister for Family and has never wanted for anything in her entire life. That is, until her dear daddy is arrested for fraud and all of their accounts are frozen. Poor Poppy finds herself without her allowance, a place to live, and most devastatingly, her fiancé. On the advice of her father’s financial manager, Poppy takes what little money she has available and reluctantly buys a houseboat. It’s tiny, dingy, and not at all what she’s used to – which might be a good thing, after all.

Thank you Lynda Renham for making me laugh out loud yet again ! Its one of the things I look forward to when I pick up one of her books and I'm glad to report, she's successful again.
I wasn't sure that I was going to like the posh characters, with their pretentious behaviour and sneering opinions, and in the case of pug face Pandora, and RAT Roddy, I didn't, however I did warm to Poppy when she started being more down to earth and less shallow.
It lovely to have a riches to rags story, where the character learns that not all that glitters is gold and learns to appreciate the simpler things in life.
Heart warming, funny, and exciting - I didn't want to put it down, and was a little sad when the story ended.
PS. Jack Diamond sneaked in too ;-)

If you have never read any of Lynda's books before I would thoroughly recommend them. Lynda has such a way with words and a fantastic sense of humour. This story is a rags to riches reversal with some really wonderful characters in it. Lynda never fails to bring a lot of laugh out loud moments in her books which I just absolutely adore. If your looking for a romantic comedy this is definitely the book for you. I have read another of Lynda's books before called Rory's proposal and absolutely loved that, that I really look forward to her next book.

i loved this book loved the character poppy where she gone from rich to poor makes you think how life can change in minutes, some of the book made me laugh and made me cry.
poppy was my favorite character i was hoping she would see taylor as he really is because he was cute and gorgeous.

Very witty use of the acronym RAT as that's truely what he was, poor Poppy! Being an outcast in her community but accepted by another Poppy had to open her mind and change her behaviour quickly to survive. Another true to form book by Lynda Renham. I couldn't put it down so it was over too quickly! I can't wait for the next one :-)

Bridget Jones meets Notting Hill...
lynda renham just keeps getting better with each book she writes. it was so fun and I laughed the whole way through. I love how she weaves the story so you think you know what's coming and the ban she turns it another way. it's better than Bridget Jones. better than your average love song with all the right cliches.

This is my first read by Lynda Renham & did not disappoint as had some very funny lol moments. I particularly liked reading about how the 'other half' live & found their characters hilarious. Will treasure my copy as it's a signed 1st editon!

Wonderful!
I love all of Lynda's books but think this is my favorite so far. Totally fell in love with all the characters. Wonderfully funny, hopelessly romantic, couldn't put it down. Highly recommended.

This was a light, silly read. I should have guessed that a book with the word knickers in the title would be a bit nasty. DUH!!!! It did make me chuckle but I can't seriously recommend it.

Lynda is the author of many romantic novels including Pink Wellies and Flat Caps, Coconuts and Wonderbras, and The Dog's Bollocks. Fudge Berries was recommended to me, and after two chapters I was already downloading more of Lynda's books, because frankly? This lady is hilarious.
Poppy Wellesley finds herself penniless within hours when her millionaire minister father is charged for fraud. With her bank account now frozen, Poppy has to fend for herself, without the help of her daddy and his vast amount of cash. Now an outsider to her usual crowd of equally rich It-girls, Poppy is forced to begin a new life. Very reluctantly. And with no money, there's no swanky penthouse apartment - she'll have to downsize. Though when she lays eyes on the slightly dishevelled houseboat on Regent's Canal that's now her new home, she wonders if she'll ever be able to get her old life back.
Especially as she doesn't immediately seem to get on with the neighbours...
Marrying her millionaire fiance is a possible solution to the cash-flow problem - though with her current predicament, will the marriage still be on the cards? With sly Pandora making a move on Poppy's only potential way to regain her status, Poppy realises that she's going to have to fight for it. With the help of fun (yet extremely ditzy) Chelsea, Poppy puts her plan into action, however there's juat a little setback; her handsome and quite mysterious neighbour on the next boat...
Fudge Berries has a wonderfully funny cast of characters (including gangster Jack Diamond and Lord Wyndham-Price - aka 'Balls') and Lynda's witty writing style just makes this book perfect. At first, I thought I would hate Poppy - after all, she's a socialite, reliant on her family's cash to get by. But I couldn't help but love her and root for her throughout. I found it impossible to put this book down until I had finished it. (I am now halfway through The Dog's Bollocks, which is just as funny!)
