I was given a copy of this book as a gift from the author. I am not expected to give a review in exchange for the book.
Being a librarian and knowing there was a first book in this series about Fudge and Einstein, I read Ferret Fun before Ferret Fun in the Sun. I enjoyed the first book. Fudge and Einstein found a way to make friends with an unlikely character.
I was looking forward to the second adventure of the two ferret friends. I was not disappointed.
Andrea, their owner, announces they are going on vacation to Arizona. Einstein is excited, while Fudge is not. True to his adventurous nature, Einstein sets off to explore once they are settled into their new surroundings. True to his homebody nature, Fudge stays put.
Soon Fudge is drawn into Einstein’s adventure. Tantalizing him with a piece of juicy cactus fruit, Einstein gets Fudge further away from his safe surroundings. What they find in the wild world is ssssuprising and dangerous. Fear not, Einstein and Fudge are fasssst little fellows.
The humor in the book will appeal to young readers. Children will relate to the ferret friends’ testing of their boundaries. This would be a great book for storytime sharing. I am looking forward to more adventures of Einstein and Fudge.
As in the first book, the illustrations were delightful. The colors are bright and appealing. The ferrets’ expressions are priceless. The scene where Einstein eats a piece of cactus fruit comes complete with juice dripping from his mouth. It makes you want to be able to take a bite. Yum!

so fun, comic style, ferrets are fun. i had a girl friend in college who had a roommate with i think 2 ferrets ...they would come zooming out into the common area ...and i would say what the heck was that ...it was like a flash of lighting ...and u would feel them like smelling your feet ...gone. it was wild. great read. i have read now 4 books from Karen Rostoker-Gruber. all so fun for different reason. check them out!

I received a copy of this books via goodreads giveaways in exchange for an honest review.

Einstein and Fudge are two cute little ferret buddies who find themselves in big trouble! Can these two little ferrets find their way out of the desert and back to the safety of their hammocks and daily treats?
In this exciting, adventure picture books the reader is taken into the desert and into the sun. A very fun read indeed. I enjoyed that part of the book had an almost comic book feel with the different columns of drawings but then also had wide picturesque full pages art pieces of the desert. This book is visually appealing and has adorable little ferrets as the main character that you can't help but love. I think this would be a great book for any young reader. I know my boys really enjoyed the cute little story and I can't wait to share this book around my community.

Full disclosure: I won this as part of Goodreads' First Reads

A fun story about two ferrets who go on an adventure when their owner takes them to Arizona.
The storyline is laid out like a comic book, so it would be best for school-age children who have a new grasp on reading.
The illustrations were basic and not too impressive to me, but the tale is cute and has a good lesson about trying new things and not getting ahead of one's self.

Good book if you like ferrets, I guess. But I didn't find a lot of interest in it. Not sure a young child would be that drawn into it either.

Ferrets go on a vacation out west and end up exploring. Great for introducing comic books to young readers.
