In a world where the rules are iron-clad, the only thing more dangerous than the mountain is falling for the man who abandoned it.
CONNOR I was once at the top of the snowboarding world until one traumatic night took everything from me. Five years later, I’m offered a return to the circuit as the head coach for the only boarder talented enough to rival my own legacy—the reckless, cocky, and undeniably brilliant Vox Montgomery. For me, this isn't just a job; it’s my shot at redemption. But Vox is a magnetic force I can’t resist, and if I can’t keep my hands to myself, I’ll lose this chance before it even starts.
VOX I’ve spent five years harboring a grudge against my idol. When Connor vanished without a trace, he left a void that fueled my reputation for being as dangerous on the slopes as I am off them. When Connor arrives in Ricochet Ridge as my new head coach, I’m determined to get more than just his professional respect—I want him. The tension between us is a powder keg, forbidden by the iron-clad rules of my sponsor. Grey Patterson forbids staff and athletes from dating, meaning one wrong move could end my career and Connor’s second chance.
THE RACE When Vox finds Connor broken in the snow and finally learns the devastating truth behind his disappearance, the lines between coach and athlete get obliterated. In the high-stakes world of professional snowboarding, Connor and Vox are about to learn that the most dangerous pursuit isn't a first place finish on the mountain—it's the heart of the one person you’re forbidden to touch.
Coach x Athlete Forbidden Romance Healing from Trauma Snark and Banter High Heat & HEA
Fall Line is an interconnected standalone with a guaranteed HEA. You can start here or read it out of order without spoilers for the rest of the Ricochet Ridge series.

I’m having so much fun with this series. Meltdown was sweet and I loved seeing Liam and Damon’s dynamic change and this was sweet as well but Vox and Connor were a different kind of sweet and I enjoyed it!
Both Vox and Conner had insecurities due to past circumstances in life and having them work together to deal with these as their relationship developed was great to see. Vox taking mental notes on what may trigger Conner and learning how to work within those triggers to get him to allow himself to feel comfortable and safe was just as sweet as Conner learning Vox and his fears and making sure to show up for him every time and keeping the communication between them clear. I think this helped Vox understand Conner’s choices without feeling like Connor was letting him down which was important to Vox.
The snowboarding was fun the banter was great! This was fun and I’m glad I picked it up! I’m excited about the next book in the series!
Fall Line follows the story of Connor who is coaching Vox. I really enjoyed this sports romance. Its got romance, thoughtful conversation and a lot of self discovery. Vox finds out the truth about his father. Connor supports him in every way he can and we finally get to see the OTHER side of THAT kiss from the previous Ricochet Ridge book 1.
Jillian Wray does it again with the rounded out character arcs, not over the top intimate scenes (they were meaningful), & the found family vibes all the way round.
Thank you to the author and The Author Agency for an advance reader copy in exchange for an honest review.
picked this up thinking “fun sports romance” and instead got emotionally body-slammed down a mountain at full speed and THANK YOU FOR THAT 🏂💥
Fall Line is intense, addictive, and has that sharp, icy edge where everything feels like it could snap at any second. The stakes?? Sky high. The tension?? Absolutely feral. I could NOT put it down.
Connor??? This man is walking around carrying five years of guilt, trauma, and unfinished grief like it’s stitched into his bones. You can feel how much he’s lost. And the way he comes back, not as the same golden legend but as someone quieter, heavier, trying to claw his way toward redemption?? It hit. Hard.
And then there’s Vox.
VOX MONTGOMERY. I need everyone to understand that this man is chaos wrapped in talent and ego and sharp edges. He’s cocky, reckless, a little bit self-destructive… but underneath all of that?? Hurt. So much hurt. Being abandoned by the person who meant everything to him shaped everything about who he is now, and watching that resentment simmer into something else?? I was glued to the page.
Their dynamic is INSANE. The coach × athlete tension is already forbidden, already dangerous… and then you add history, obsession, unresolved feelings, and that constant push-pull of “I shouldn’t want you but I absolutely do”??? It’s like watching an avalanche build in slow motion. You KNOW it’s going to hit, you just don’t know when.
The banter?? Top tier. Sharp, biting, sometimes downright brutal—but always charged with something deeper underneath. Every conversation felt like a match being lit.
And when the truth finally comes out?? When Vox finds Connor broken in the snow and everything shifts?? I was DONE. The emotional payoff wrecked me. All that anger, all that confusion, finally colliding with the reality of what Connor went through… it was messy and raw and exactly what I needed.
Also the snowboarding world?? So vivid. The adrenaline, the danger, the pressure from sponsors, the “one mistake and it’s over” atmosphere—it all adds this constant edge of tension that never lets up. The mountain isn’t just a setting, it’s a threat looming over everything.
And the romance?? Whew. It’s intense, consuming, a little bit reckless in the best way. The kind that feels like stepping too close to the edge and knowing you might fall—but doing it anyway.
This book is about second chances, about healing when you don’t think you deserve it, about letting someone see the broken parts of you and not turning away.
My heart is still somewhere on that mountain, probably screaming into the wind and begging for just one more run ❄️
I knew Vox was trouble from the first book (Meltdown) and I blooming love him! And if you have read book one, we get to see THAT kiss from a different point of view! So good 🤌🏼
In this book we meet Connor - a snowboarding legend who fell of the face of the earth when he had an accident. He's since been stuck in a dead end job working for an insurance company he has no heart for. He gets the chance to be back on the slopes as a coach for a small group of athletes (which include Vox) and jumps at the chance. Even if he can't step foot on a snowboard again, he can't wait to be as close to the action as possible.
When Connor meets Vox he thinks he's an arrogant peice of work (he kind of is but its more cocky confidence in general) because Vox jumps straight to the question of 'where the hell did you go when you fell off the face of the earth' because deep down, Vox always admired Connor, literally looked up to him and Connor disappearing was like he had abandoned Vox, and Vox took it to heart - doesn't help he has abandonment issue, and with fair reason too!
The instant attraction is there but there is a clause in Connor's contract as a coach that forbids him from fraternising with anyone on the team or payroll. But when he finds out Vox is Bi....well he can't stop his mind from running rampant - only to realise Vox feels the same and Vox makes it known, and difficult for Connor to look away! He tries to keep things professional but it's only a matter of time before lines are crossed and the more they work together the less control they have over their feelings towards each other.
We do find out why Connor disappeared from the snowboarding limelight and the reason broke my heart for him, Sam and Louisa. When Connor finally opens up to Vox about it all and his internal struggles my heart was hurting so much for him, but the way Vox brought Connor back to his snowboarding legend life was just amazing! And I loved reading it.
The plot with everything to do with Grey and Vox's father was great and I was rooting for Vox, Connor and Turner the whole time. I was so happy things went down they way they did and was silently cheering for them all.
Vox and Connor really are an amazing couple and my god they are freaky little f*ckers!
I ran to get the bonus scene when I finished the book and it did not disappoint!
Obsessed with this series so far and a can't wait to continue!
The reason Vox dyes the tips of his hair purple - my heart 😫💜
Read book one and immediately knew I would need these two in my life.
What do you get when you put two hot as fuck guys together, a demanding sport and a “non fraternization” rule in a close proximity environment? A slow burn with the spiciest tension that explodes into the best feelings fueled lust ever.
I knew I was going to like this, because who wouldn’t enjoy hot guys in snowboards? But especially these two. Vox had me intrigued from the beginning, his cocky persona and his laid back attitude didn’t fully add up and his past was just so sad. I needed him to find his happy, his good thing outside of the sport, but truly it had to be WITHIN the sport. The way his famous crush was just destined for him. My manifestation king.
Now Connor truly brought my heart a little pain. His trauma and the time away from his love of the sport were heartbreaking and I couldn’t be happier when he came back home. He healed and became the man he was meant to be. His longing and fight for Vox were the hottest ever, but giving in? Turning his self hate into a real good thing? Being the man he needed to be for Vox AND himself? I was in love and in awe of him.
I truly cannot get enough of Jillian’s writing. I have already signed up for the rest of the series and will be going back to read her backlog.
Truly grateful to, TAA and Jillian, for this e-arc!
Quotes:
This one's for Connor because he will be mine, just like this first-place finish.
"What's the matter, hotshot? Coach got your tongue?"
There’s nothing like having a man as beautiful, powerful, and talented as Vox place his trust in me.
It’s probably safe to say we can add cock warming to the list of shit I enjoy with Connor.
“Having my cum poured inside your ass wasn’t good enough? You want it filling you from both ends, don’t you?”
Vox tips in first, and as soon as he's over the ledge, working his way down I know without a doubt, I’d follow him anywhere.
"You challenge my concentration, yet demand my focus. You are hands-down the most dangerous run I've ever taken, and you're also the most direct path to my happiness. You, Vox Montgomery, are my fall line."
Fall Line completely stole my heart - hands down my fave of Jillian's books so far! I AM OBSESSED WITH VOX + CONNOR <3 It was the perfect balance of emotion, tension, spice, and heartfelt connection - all wrapped up in a story that was deeply personal and absolutely impossible to put down. We got to follow the journeys of MCs Vox and Connor. They're both navigating their own struggles and emotional baggage from the past. Their individual growth throughout the story was so endearing and really drew me in. Vox is a pro snowboarder in the prime of his career, getting ready to win the Winter Classic Games. He has this big outgoing personality, and seemingly perfect life on the outside, but carries so much under the surface. Connor used to be at the top of the sport, and his sudden departure from the circuit 5 yrs ago is full of mystery. He hasn't been back on a board since, and is hired as Vox's coach for the upcoming games. The athlete x coach partnership starts out rocky, and we get some really good banter as the tension builds between them. But then watching them slowly open up about their pasts felt so raw and authentic. I loved seeing their vulnerability as they supported each other through it all. The heat builds deliciously, and adds just the right level of intensity and purpose to their story. Guys the male moaning! Both MCs finishing in their pants! The edging! ON THE SKI LIFT!!! Let's just say I was not prepared for the heat to have me blushing so many times. Vox + Connor are the epitome of what I yearn for in a romance. The high stakes tension could snap at any moment. Their chemistry OMG! Slow burn with the yummiest payoffs that had me blushing (several times!). Emotion that hit so deeply, and I was rooting for their HEA so hard. Jillian truly delivered something special with this one - an easy 5 stars and my new fave from her. I can't wait for the next book in the Ricochet Ridge series!
The book was so entertaining as a sequel to the series, and I knew that Vox would be an excellent character. That is the hectic self-confidence which makes him difficult not to hear, but there is so much more underneath the water. His point of view and knowing more about his character made me like him even more.
Connor was a very curious person to match him up. Having been a former snowboarding star that has left the limelight, he has a lot to shoulder on his past. The fact that he is back at the slopes as a coach provides him with the reason to continue even as he struggles to cope with all that he lost. The book was made more emotional in his story, particularly after the causes of his disappearance are disclosed.
Their relationship is so effective. Tension is instant, and there is much push and pull due to the position of Connor as a coach. That was enough conflict to make things interesting but not too many. I enjoyed the way in which they got to know one another. Vox listens in a manner that reveals his level of concern, whereas Connor begins to open up and trust. Their relationship is much intense and supportive.
Another quality was the snowboarding environment. It also made the story lively and everything seemed to be a little more thrilling, particularly with heavy banter between the characters. Another strong element is the side plot that gives it a few additional stakes and keeps the action going.
This was a good combination of romance, tension and character development all round. Vox and Connor complement each other and it seemed their relationship was deserved watching them solve their pasts together. I am most certainly anticipating the second sequel in the series.
I really enjoyed Meltdown so this return to Ricochet Ridge was so much fun, and the rivals-to-lovers story delivered exactly what I was hoping for.
Vox is a pro snowboarder with a bratty streak, and Connor is a retired snowboarding legend brought in to coach him. The chemistry between them sparks almost immediately, but their coach–athlete dynamic means their attraction is definitely off-limits… which of course just makes the tension even better.
Vox constantly trying to get under Connor’s skin was hilarious, but underneath all that attitude you could tell he genuinely admired him and wanted a real connection. The push and pull between them—wanting each other while knowing they shouldn’t—was easily my favorite part of the book. Their relationship ended up being surprisingly healing for both of them, and I loved how they pushed each other to be better both on the slopes and in their personal lives.
This book was definitely spicier than Meltdown (not that I’m complaining 👀🔥), and the tension between Vox and Connor made every moment of it worth it.
I had my suspicions about Grey from the start, so it was incredibly satisfying to see Connor help Vox recognize his true colors. Vox reconnecting with his dad was also such a sweet and emotional moment, and I loved that his HEA came in more ways than one.
If you’re looking for a fun, spicy, low-angst MM romance, this series is definitely worth picking up.
Tropes: ❄️ Rivals to lovers 🏂 Coach / athlete (forbidden romance) 😈 Bratty sunshine × grumpy legend 🔥 Lots of spice 💙 Healing through love 👫 Found family vibes 🌈 HEA
The tension between Connor and Vox is strong from the start, and these two had me on edge the entire time. Their push and pull kept me completely invested in what would happen next. Honestly, their interactions made me downright giddy! I found myself smiling through so many of their moments together.
I’ll admit, snowboarding is completely foreign to me, but I loved the way the sport was woven into the story. The way Connor and Vox talk about their craft and what it means to them makes it easy to appreciate how much it shapes their lives and ultimately brings them together.
Both characters have so many layers, and one of my favorite parts of the book was slowly peeling those back as they let each other see sides of themselves they usually keep hidden. They allow each other a level of vulnerability that neither of them typically show, and I loved how they embraced each other fully, even the frustrating parts. It made their connection feel genuine and really sweet.
And wow… this book is spicy. I definitely had to take a few breaks to process before diving back in!
There’s no denying that Connor and Vox fit together perfectly. They bring out the best in each other and help each other grow, but their careers add a huge layer of tension since pursuing a relationship could put everything they’ve worked for at risk.
Overall, Jillian D. Wray wrote a compelling, chemistry-filled story that kept me engaged and wanting more the entire time! I am definitely a fan and can’t wait for Avalanche!
I am obsessed with the men of Ricochet Ridge and let me tell you Connor and Vox do not disappoint. This book had me in the first sentence and I devoured it! Vox Montgomery is cocky, passionate and the best snowboarder there is due to the fact his idol disappeared without a trace 5-years prior this loss drove Vox to be the best of the best. So when his idol comes to Ricochet Ridge to be his new coach this sends Vox in a downward spiral of where has he been? Wanting to gain his respect and at the same time wanting HIM for himself. Connor Lang is harboring a huge secret. He walked away from the only life he ever knew because of a tragedy he has yet to recover from. So when he was offered a job as the new head coach for Vox Montgomery he couldn't say no. Meeting Vox was more than he bargained for, his skills mirror Connor's he is captivating on the mountain but his feelings for Vox are more than a coach and athlete. The passion Vox and Connor have for each is so hot!! Vox trying so hard to get to the reason why Connor left at the height of his career as well as helping him cope with his guilt and gain the confidence needed to get back on the board is so beautifully written. And sweet Connor's inherent need to protect Vox from being taken advantage of. I love how much they love each other and are each other's person even with ironclad contracts and NDA's that could destroy everything they worked for - they are still drawn to each other. I loved this book so much and cannot wait for the rest of the series.
I was so excited to get back to Ricochet Ridge, and these men did not disappoint.
What starts off as a tense, competitive dynamic between a cocky, top ranked snowboarder and his idol-turned-coach quickly turns into something so much deeper. Vox and Connor are both carrying heavy emotional baggage, and watching them slowly open up was honestly one of my favorite parts of this book.
Vox comes across as arrogant at first, but the more you get to know him, the more you realize how much of that is a defense mechanism. His abandonment issues run so damn deep, and it adds so much depth to his character. Connor, on the other hand, is dealing with incredible guilt and trauma from a past he can't fully talk about, and it was heartbreaking to see how much that affected him.
Their connection is intense from the start, and the tension between them is so well done. Add in the forced proximity, the no-fraternization rule, and the mentor/mentee dynamic, and it creates this constant push and pull that keeps you hooked the entire time.
I also loved the healing aspect of the story. Watching Connor slowly find his way back to the sport he loves so much, with Vox by his side, was incredibly emotional. And Vox finally allowing himself to trust someone? That was beautiful.
The romance is spicy, passionate, messy, and full of tension, but it's also deeply emotional and rooted in growth and understanding.
If you love rivals-to-lovers energy, forced proximity, emotional healing, and complicated, layered characters then this is definitely one to pick up.
This was such a fun read. I’ve never read a snowboarding romance before but the whole Coach x Athlete thing really caught my eye. What can I say?
I am a SUCKER for forbidden/taboo romance.
This follows Vox who is training for the winter classic his one and only competition this year except our solo competition king is now being forced into team races as well. That being said they’re adding on a new coach to help Vox with his control since he’s always chasing the fall line and being a little reckless.
Enter snow boarder legend Conner Lang who has been gone from the sport for over 5 years. Not only is he Vox’s former idol but hes also the motivation for Vox to break records. But with Conners tragic past is he evem going to be able to get on the board to actually coach Vox in the way he needs? And lets be real Vox is pushing his buttons more than just on the mountain.
The forced proximity, tensions, unresolved anger and the forbidden aspect had me turning pages just to see if it would all work out in the end. Vox is the perfect choas to counter Conners unshakable control and I loved every second of this.
What you can expect:
❄️ Snowboarding 🏂 Coach X Athlete ❄️ Hidden Trauma 🏂 Psychological Healing ❄️ Secrets and Lies (not between MMCs) 🏂 Found Family ❄️ Verse MMCs 🏂 Posters (just trust me) ❄️ Redemption 🏂 Brat behavior
Professional snowboarding was never as sexy and as dangerous. Connor used to be the very best at snowboarding. Everyone knew his name and his reputation. After a traumatic incident, he simply disappeared. Now, with an offer to come back and coach the best snowboarder in the circuit, he finds his way back. Vox is the ridiculously talented, handsome snowboarder, who is also outgoing and unapologetic about his life and his choices. Underneath the façade, all he wants is to be loved, cared for and make people proud. When he meets his new coach – his long-time hero and crush – sparks fly immediately. The chemistry, the connection, the understanding in all levels between them is enough to make them relent and hide the forbidden relationship. Fall Line is the kind of romance that keeps on getting better with each chapter, with so many good twists and turns, giving us banter, angst, spice, but also the most heart-warming moments full of longing, yearning, emotion and support. Jillian D. Wray is an amazing writer that never fails to bring tension, personal growth, slow burn and forever kind of love into her stories. Fall Line is another must read in a series that just keeps getting better. Thank you for the ARC.
A Sizzling, Emotionally Charged MM Sports Romance with ALLthe Tension! Vox is the golden boy of snowboarding. He is tallented, arrogant and untouchable. He is quite used to being the best and the center of attention. When his sponsor (Grey) forces him into a team format for the Winter Classic Games he is pissed. Even worse, his new coach is Connor. Connor is a former Olympic champion who vanished from the sport 5 years ago. Meanwhile Connor is haunted by his past. After a career ending accident he has been hiding from the world. When Grey offers him a chance to return to the sport, as coach, he jumps at it. Even if that means he has to deal with Vox his ego. The way Vox is portrayed is perfect. You can feel the arrogance through the pages. It was so satisfying to see his vulnerability shine through when the book progressed. Connon is eaten by his guild but can't share the secret because a NDA. He is afraid of hurting others. I'm happy he managed to make steps in overcoming his issues. The chemistry between Connor and Vox is hot! The tension, the stakes... loved it. When they finally give in, lets just say, it was worth the wait. The plot at the end was a fun extra to the story, I do feel this part could have exploited more.
Fall Line by Jillian D. Wray is a masterclass in character-driven sports romance. Moving beyond standard tropes, Wray introduces us to two men who have built very different walls to survive their pasts.
Vox Montgomery is a standout lead—a playboy who uses a snooty, charming, and media-ready smile to keep the world at bay. His fear of abandonment is palpable, making his surface-level flirtations a tragic defense mechanism. Opposite him is Connor Lang, a man living in a self-imposed prison of guilt. He isn’t grumpy; he is profoundly traumatized, isolated by the belief that he no longer deserves the sport he loves or the happiness he’s found.
The chemistry here is electric, precisely because it is built on the slow cracking of those defensive walls. Watching Vox’s deflection clash with Connor’s quiet pain creates a tension that is deeply emotional. With a strong supporting cast (Renner and Turner Montgomery are highlights) and a refreshing take on found family, this is a must-read for fans of professional sports romance and hurt-comfort themes.
I received an ARC of this book to review honestly.
Voxxxxy baby and Connor my love, I can’t express how much I adored these two and was completely consumed by them.
They were fire, they were filthy, they were romantic and they were everything the other one needed. They had a dynamic I cant put into words how it worked so well. They were two stubborn men fighting for whom would be right in any situation. I thought all this book would be is fighting and falling, but there was so much more. The way both of them fought the other for the things they needed in their life. Vox helped Conner heal as part of him that was so big. Connor protected Vox from a world of hurt. There was so many tears in this book that my heart broke. But did I also shout with joy and cheer these boys on?? Yes. Yes I did. Because I was so caught up in their story I was living it through the words.
You’re never supposed to meet your heroes, but Vox really threw that out the window and made this man fall to his knees for him…and for him.
Jillian has brought yet another fun and filthy book to life for me to obsess over, but I’m mad it’s over. 🫣
When Jillian announced this series I couldn’t have been more excited I knew I was gonna eat up all these books and she has absolutely not disappointed. I red book one and completely fell in love I was even more excited to continue this series as the books come out and when I got Fall Line arc I couldn’t wait to start it I was super excited for Vox and Connor this storyline and the plot and all the details were amazing and written perfectly there’s not a single thing that needed changing. The chemistry between these 2 were perfect you could just feel it while reading and the spice my god not gonna lie totally had me sweating the mouth on both of them absolutely perfection!!! The way Connor was soo easily protective of vox right from the beginning like he just couldn’t help himself and the way he question things about how things were being handled for vox and his career because he understood being in Voxs position he never had a chance denying himself or vox from this relationship that was forming! They definitely were two half’s of a whole the way they helped each other and make each other better and both get to be by each others sides doing what they love the most besides each other just makes you melt. 10/10 5 stars I will never be able to shut up about these 2 !!
I absolutely LOVED Meltdown and it left me insanely curious about Vox. When I saw that her next book was Vox’s story I applied for the arc soooo freaking quick! Lemme tell y’all it did NOT disappoint.
This book has all the things, banter, raw moments that give you those lil heart pangs for what the MCs went through, giggles, intense moments, all of it. Vox is a cocky lil shit, but honestly I think that was just his way of keeping others at a distance so he didn’t get hurt or left behind. I absolutely adored his personality and growth throughout the story.
Now don’t even get me started on Connor…his backstory freaking hurt! Seeing him grow and overcome his history with the help of Vox was incredible. It made my heart so happy to see him overcome his struggles and Vox supporting him every step of the way.
These two and their story was absolutely everything and I honestly cannot wait for the next book because how the hell do you top that?!
Vox piqued my curiosity in book one, and ooooh he did not disappoint in book two. Connor Lang and Vox Montgommery were the perfect example of “f*ck it”.
Connor has been through so much, and his own guilt eats him alive on the daily forcing him to give up the one thing he loves most, the thing that makes him feel alive, snowboarding… until he gets the chance to coach for a big brand. Coaching? Fine… coaching the one and only Vox Montgommery? His personal downfall… or is it?
Vox is a hotshot, he gets what he wants because he is the best… he loves the challenge. He has some resentment towards Connor but ai loooove how he was proven so wrong because once he knew the truth, the feels slammed into him HARD. Connor is probably the only person to call him on his sh*t and “put him in his place”…. Vox is definitely a brat in a sense, however the way he was there for Connor when it mattered MOST, it was like YES these two are it now if ands or buts.
This book was the ultimate coach x athlete romance. It's quickly becoming a new favourite trope but in all honestly, I loved this book! The ending was brilliant and lowkey hilarious! A stunning sports mm romance between one mc who has has extreme trauma but takes on the coaching job anyway and another mc who has an ego the size of Everest and the snowboarding skills to back it up! It's a book full of innuendos, red flags and spice that could melt ice caps, it was fireeeee! It was a lot of fun and Vox was something special. I loved his wild personality that rivals the craziest adrenaline junkie, abandonment issues, charm and charisma. A really, sweet and complicated character with so much depth, which i always enjoy. Then there's Connor, that sweet boy needs to be protected at all costs!
Anywaaay, it was gorgeous. This book was great. Thank you so much for trusting me (again) to read, review and fall over myself obsessing over this series so far.
Snowboarder / Coach Forbidden Found Family Secrets Psychological Healing
This series has been so fun!
I love Jillian’s style of writing. Always such great banter and humor.
These two were really sweet and vulnerable.
Vox’s abandonment issues, and Connor's grief and anxiety…I just adored how these two helped each other through their trauma and issues. So sweet and swoony. But also real. The slow burn aspect felt needed, for both men to trust each other.
I always enjoy when Jillian writes some mystery and secrets into her books. This was so satisfying, and also watching Connor help and such Vox through it was everything.
Also, shoot, these two were so so so hott… sheesh… loved their intimacy and spice!
I flew through this in one day!
I love these two. Such a great book. These two were absolutely perfect for each other.
This was actually my first ever ARC and oh wow what a ride it was. It’s been a while since I was THIS invested in a book. I was addicted right from the start. Jillian writes extremely likable characters that you become really attached to (I think I literally fell in love with Vox) and the plot and drama in this book was top tier as well. Vox and Connor are absolutely soulmates and one of my favorite book couples ever. The way they are able to read each other and the connection they have is enough to bring tears to your eyes. I cannot recommend this book enough. The writing is so easy to follow and not bulky at all like some books can be but yet there is plenty of details to the point where you really feel like you are at Ricochet Ridge. Looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this incredible series!
Vox is one of those characters that you cannot help but adore and his crush on Connor is the sweetest thing ever. With both of their pasts being not great it's no surprise it takes them time to be able to open up and allow the other in. The tension was palpable throughout keeping you on the edge of your seat til they just let their feelings show and take their shot at a future worth fighting for. It was fun to see snowboarding take a key role in their story where you could feel both of their passion for the sport and the dedication it takes to be on top of their game. Both Vox & Connor show an unbridled love of the sport and when they allow each other in their passion takes in their relationship in the same beautiful way. This was my first book from this author and will try more of their future releases.
Would you break the rules for a chance at winning everything?
Fall Line is the second novel in the Ricochet Ridge series, and I am just as in love with it as I was the first.
If you read Meltdown, you’ve already had an introduction and a little insight into Vox and Connor, but that was nothing compared to their full story.
From intense longing to steaming hot encounters (in the cold), Vox and Connor bring a new meaning to being on top. Their personalities, their banter, and every piece of their story will have you falling in love and not wanting the book to end.
Whether you’re new to this series or fell in love from the start, Fall Line will leave you feeling as if Vox and Connor won it all.
Snow boarding / skiing . Connor and Vox were born to be the best or to find each other or perhaps both! I could visualise the snowboarding the speed they pursue the danger that can happen if you’re not careful. A wonderful storyline. Connor had so much to conquer he was able with Vox’s determination to face his fears I couldn’t believe the happiness I felt.
Vox, what a surprise he had ! Vox , arrogant extremely self assured also I felt his loneliness for all his bravado he was fragile. Together they were determined to be who they are and together, their chemistry is so strong that they knew they were meant to be. The possessiveness and arrogance of Grey clashed with Turner with his openness.
These guys were so freaking cute 😍 I loved Voxy, he was smart, fun and so charming 💖 Connor was a bit grumpy, but he was sexy, sweet and the mouth on that man...🤭🥵
Vox did set him free. He was carrying so much guilt and Vox was the one who gave him peace and allowed him to finally be himself again.
I lived their chemistry and the banter! Connor was so gone for Vox!! The way he tried to be sneaky with them pictures..😂
I enjoyed the heck out of this book. Connor had Vox's back from the beginning and I loved how it all played out. I cant wait for the next book, Im loving this series.
Ohhh Vox and Connor! I absolutely loved this book. Forbidden is one of my favorite tropes, and Jillian did not disappoint. Coach and athlete, contracts stating no fraternization... What could go wrong?! The chemistry between these two was hot! What they gave each other emotionally was even hotter! Watching Connor come back from a traumatic event that held him back for years was beautiful! You could feel the excitement seeping out of the words. And the ending! Couldn't have wrapped up more perfectly!!! I'm so read for book 3!
Ever since I saw a glimpse of Vox in Meltdown (book 1), I knew I was going to love him. He was flirty and cocky, but I also knew he had a story behind that facade. He is definitely more than he appears to be and I love him even more for it. Vox is a professional snowboarder and during downtime, he lives and works at Ricochet Ridge. When his childhood idol is suddenly hired on to be his coach, tension runs high. Vox has a lot of anger towards his idol for up and disappearing from the game five years earlier without any explanation. He doesn't know if he can trust Connor, but there is no denying the pull they have to one another.
Now you know things are going to be hot when you force these two together and then throw in a "no fraternization" rule. Connor has a very sad back story and it was nice to see him work through this with Vox, despite all they could both lose if caught. They really were meant to be and I loved seeing them heal together. And the spice? Hottest I have yet to see from Jillian! Once it hits, phewwwww! I literally told her that after a particular scene, I felt like I needed a cigarette even though I don't smoke 🤣
Definitely put this series on your list besties! You won't want to miss it!
Another amazing book by Jillian Wray! I loved so much about this book. The forbidden relationship, the way it developed. Both the MCs are so much fun! I love snark and banter and Jillian absolutely delivers! I can honestly say that this series is off to an amazing start and I can’t wait to see what she does with the rest of the series! The first 2 were absolutely fantastic and make me feral for the rest!
-mm romance -pro snowboarder x coach -forbidden love -secret betrayals -forced proximity -found family
