This book with its four short horror stories really impressed me. Four completely different stories, each with totally unexpected and explosive endings. Every single one of them kept me on edge, hooked, turning pages, wanting to understand what was going on and what was really happening. It keeps you right on the edge of your seat, with your heart racing, desperate to know what’s actually happening.

I have to say that the plot twists in all the stories, especially the endings, left me speechless. The stories blend classic horror with strong elements of psychological horror, constantly making you question what’s real, what’s not, and whether what the characters are seeing is true or imagined.

The stories are so well written and so carefully thought out that they pull you right in and make you feel like you’re living them yourself. It’s an immersive experience that traps you inside the story and makes it impossible to stop reading.

I highly recommend it. On top of that, the proceeds go to a good cause, which is yet another reason to buy this book and read these stories.

The four authors who participated in this book have done an excellently haunting job!

єтєяηαℓℓу уσυяѕ ву тαмѕιη ѕт נαмєѕ

Is there someone in this big old house, determined to displace you? Do the shadows that lurk in the corners seek answers?
Letters left for you to find, fortelling of a deep love, making you anticipate their return.

I’m not going into the depths of this story 🤭 Suffice to say it was beautifully written, with a more nostalgic view until you are hit with the twist 😱

Is the reflection in the mirror more than your own? Do you recognise yourself? Or is it just fragments of memories!

Maeve and Harlow move into an inherited house on Dunwich End, it needs a lot of work done to it but Maeve starts to drift away, scared of what’s in the walls and no amount of sage, salt and crystals helps.

Loved the eerie essence of this one, the writing just draws you in and the ending 🥶

The clues in the title 👻

Thomas and Helene are on their honeymoon, renting a house in, you guessed it…Dunwich End. They have known each other a long time and have a great relationship 🌶️That is until some evil whispering starts to have an effect on Helene 😬

Great story, with spice, love and paranormal happenings until the end 🤯

Lyra is on the run from a commune, she ends up at her Aunt’s house on Dunwich Lane but it is in a state of disrepair and her Aunt is nowhere to be found…

This one was for me more gorey than the previous ones, and drew you into her back story along with the present that is until we learn the truth 🩸☠️

Forget the roses and chocolates, this Valentine’s Day, we are doing rituals and dread. 🥀🖤

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this anthology, and it is the perfect antidote to the usual February fluff. As the book says, "Affection is devotion, and devotion demands sacrifice."

This collection blends horror, thriller, and mystery with a twisted layer of spice that I wasn't expecting but absolutely devoured.

From newlyweds stalked by a woman in white to homes that hide hungry secrets, every story explores that terrifying space where intimacy stops being safe and starts being dangerous.

If you want short stories filled with obsession, haunted promises, and some serious heat (yes, there is smut, but it's the scary kind), you need to preorder this.

This anthology houses (pun intended) four short stories that all take place at the same location: Dunwich End. While all four stories are wildly different, including the type of horror they portray, they all had FMCs I sorta rooted for - even when I probably shouldn’t have.

The first story, “Eternally Yours,” follows a woman who’s preparing a Valentine’s Day dinner for her boyfriend. While she’s preparing for his arrival, she finds notes around the house that at first seem romantic - notes she assumes are from her boyfriend. However, the more notes she finds, the more we realize these notes aren’t what they seem. What ensues is something super unhinged - in the best possible way. I liked the mystery of this story and the bonkers ending.

“Beloved,” the second story, details the relationship between two women (Maeve and Harlow) who have just moved into a fixer-upper inherited by Maeve. Maeve is a firm believer in the paranormal, and the longer the women live in the house, the more Maeve has experiences that support her beliefs, impacting her relationship with Harlow in a pretty shocking and unexpected way. I had a hard time at points understanding what was happening, but I loved following Maeve and Harlow’s relationship. They love each other so much.

The third story, “La Dame Blanche,” is a not-so-classic ghost story. Two newlyweds plan to spend their honeymoon in a secluded house that isn’t as secluded as they thought. The wife, Helene, suddenly becomes “sick,” and this illness takes her (and her husband) over completely. This story had way too much “spice” for me. I don’t normally have issues with spicy content if it works with the story, but it happened so much and so graphically in this one when it didn’t feel necessary. The ending, though, was unexpected and highly entertaining.

In the final story, “The Unravelling of Dunwich End,” Lyra escapes a religious cult and runs to her aunts house for protection. The house is in disarray with broken appliances and rotten food. It’s clear this was not what Lyra expected to see. When she starts to fall apart from hallucinations and memories, we start to wonder what really happened to Lyra. I love a good cult/body horror situation, and this one really delivered. Watching Lyra unravel was fun, but there were moments at the end when Lyra’s talking to her aunt where I didn’t actually understand what had happened. It would have been helpful to have a bit more context.

Overall, I’m hovering at 3.75 stars on this one. Thanks so much to the authors for this eARC. This anthology comes out February 10, and all proceeds go to the Malala Fund.

I wasn’t prepared for how much this anthology was going to crawl under my skin and rearrange my brain in the best way. Love Drips Red on Dunwich End takes Valentine’s Day (which is already unhinged if we’re being honest) and turns it into a four-story exploration of what happens when love festers, loops, haunts, consumes, or refuses to stay buried.

Four authors, four very different approaches, and somehow they all land on the same eerie thesis: some horrors don’t die — society just finds somewhere to put them.

My personal highlight was Beloved by Lydia E. Penrose. It felt tender and haunted and heartbreakingly lived-in. There’s a line between grief and devotion there that still has teeth in me. La Dame Blanche by Amaya Jax was my second favorite — folkloric, romantic, tragic, and absolutely deranged in the most beautiful way. It’s been days and I’m still clutching my metaphorical pearls about that ending.

Eternally Yours sets the stage with eerie domestic suspense (Valentine’s Day dinners have never felt so unsettling), and The Unraveling of Dunwich End… well. Let’s just say that one is smart, disorienting, and made me question whether I was reading horror or decoding a crime scene until the last few pages put their boot on my neck and whispered, “Pay attention.”

What I loved (and I don’t say this lightly) is that all four stories work completely independently, but when you’re finished, you realize Dunwich End isn’t just “a spooky street.” It’s a system. A destination. A euphemism. A place for the things society can’t absorb. The reveal isn’t handed to you — you have to make the connections yourself — and I found that oddly satisfying once the shock wore off.

If you like horror that’s atmospheric and character-driven and a little bit mean in the way it demands you keep up, this anthology delivers. And if you’re the type who enjoys piecing together clues across multiple narrators like a feral raccoon with a corkboard, Dunwich End will give you plenty to chew on.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5)

Valentine’s Day will never feel normal again.

Love Drips Red on Dunwich End
A horror anthology by female authors, with proceeds benefiting the Malala Fund for girls’ education.

I loved the connective thread of each story taking place on Dunwich End. Every entry is chilling in its own way, and I really enjoyed being introduced to several authors I hadn’t read before.

“Eternally Yours” by Tamsin St. James opens the collection and immediately sets the tone. FMC Madison is preparing for a Valentine’s Day dinner when mysterious notes begin appearing around the house—yet no one seems to be there. Is it her love, Jason… or someone else entirely? The unease builds beautifully until a chilling reveal at the end.

“Beloved” by Lydia E. Penrose follows Maeve and Harlow, a couple who hunt ghosts and purchase a supposedly haunted house. (Do not read this one before bed.) As the house begins to affect them in unsettling ways, reality starts to blur. There’s a strong emotional connection between the couple, which develops impressively for a short story.

“La Dame Blanche” by Amaya Jax tells the story of newlyweds who make the worst mistake of their married lives by honeymooning at Dunwich End. This one brings both spice and spooky vibes—but don’t expect a happily-ever-after.

“The Unraveling of Dunwich End” by Madeline Dyer is a disorienting and haunting tale about a young woman who escapes an intense religious commune and seeks refuge on Dunwich End. Sadly, the peace and safety she’s searching for remain out of reach.

If you’re a horror fan who loves a strong anthology with atmosphere, emotion, and creeping dread, be sure to check this one out when it releases on February 10

This collection of four chilling horror stories completely blew me away each tale wildly different, yet every one detonating with an explosive, jaw-dropping ending I never saw coming. From the very first page, I was on edge, heart pounding, racing through the chapters desperate to untangle what was real, what was imagined, and what sinister truth lurked beneath the surface. The twists especially those final, devastating turns left me absolutely speechless, blending classic horror with deeply unsettling psychological tension that burrows into your mind and refuses to let go. The writing is sharp, immersive, and meticulously crafted, pulling you so fully into each nightmare that you feel as though you’re living it yourself, trapped inside the dread and unable to look away. It’s a haunting, unforgettable reading experience and knowing that the proceeds support a good cause makes diving into these dark, masterfully told stories all the more worthwhile.

Oh FORK!! 😮‍💨

Like WHATTHEFISH! 😫😵‍💫

This messed with my head so badly that I questioned whether the world around me was real 😂 Your girl had to reread every story (four stories!) just to make sure she wasn't cursed, lost, or falling too deep into the chaos 😫

I swear, my brain is still screaming 😩 This book makes me feel like love is a blessing and a trap, and I'm not sure how to feel about that 😅😮‍💨 Well, if that even makes sense 😵‍💫 Because Dunwich End didn't just FUDGE with my head… it ripped it out, spun it around, and shoved it back in upside down 😫😵‍💫💀 I know I'm being dramatic with my brain right now, but can you blame me? 🤪🤣 Dunwich End made me this way 😈😮‍💨

I'm still QUESTIONING everything right now! 😵‍💫

As much as this book will make you feel like a total psycho 😅😂 The profits are going to a good cause. Losing your mind for a minute? Totally worth it 👻💀

A 6☆ read. Something in this story won't let you go 😏🔥

The four short stories in this anthology left me with goosebumps and tingles.
Each one was creepily different and with unsettling twists I did not expect.
They bring together mystery, horror and spice that takes place in eerie houses in a very strange cul-de-sac.

These will stick in your mind long after you’ve finished reading them but if you like horror, then definitely read and with all proceeds going to a good cause it’s worth it!
Really good stories that you don’t want to read in the dark - or maybe you do 😉

Okay i absolutely loved this anthology, and gave it 5/5⭐️. There are four horror stories from different authors and wow, just wow. Thank you for letting me ARC read this anthology. They were definitely amazing in their own way, and I wanted to review them individually:

Eternally Yours

Beautifully written! Felt like reading something that your teacher hands out (in a good way I promise) and you then get to discuss what you think will happen etc. Because it’s just so beautifully written, the wording and how the story went made you question absolutely everything including yourself. The atmosphere was just perfect, and that ending! LOVED it! Will definitely want to read more by this author.

Beloved

In this one, we follow a couple who’s just moved into a “new” house. But it’s nothing like they’d hoped, it’s hard work just to renovate it and hopefully haunted. So this one has more of a paranormal twist to it, and the notes? Eek! I love them! Just like the story before, a total page turner. I also love following Harlow & Maeve! I was not ready for how sad it would be, definitely had me in tears.

La Dame Blanche

Here, we get to follow Thomas and his wife, Helene who is going away for their honeymoon! This one, definitely starts off more romantic. (Which I LOVE) The dark romance reader in me loved this one from the get go since we got a detailed spicy scene.😍 I also think this is kind of the trick of the story, lull you into a false sense of security, love and romance. I also love the French vibe this story has going on. I really like how the author mixed horror and romance in this one. Was not ready for that ending! A paranormal twist i definitely didn’t see coming!

The Unraveling of Dunwich End

In this one, we read as 18 year-old Lyra. She’s on the run, now needing to find her aunt Lucia on Dunwich End 7. Only, she’s not there and the house is in a state of disrepair dating back years. We get to follow through Lyra’s trauma escaping a cult. Only, is everything as it seems? A total page turner and I couldn’t stop reading it.

All stories were good in their own way, and made you question everything and everyone. Sadly, if you came for a HEA this is not the anthology for you. But if you’re okay with books ending without one, then I’m sure you’ll love these! Thank you again for letting me ARC read them! Reading these made me get out of a reading slump I’d been in, and realize why I love reading so much and how much I’ve missed it.

This book is a collection of four horror and supernatural short stories, each written by a different author. All four stories take place in the same eerie town called Dunwich End, which creates a strong and mysterious atmosphere throughout the book.

I really enjoyed this book because each writer had her own unique style, yet all of them managed to build tension and anticipation very well. As I read, I constantly wanted to know what would happen next. Every story included an unexpected plot twist, which made the book even more exciting and unsettling.

The stories explore different types of horror, including mind tricks, supernatural elements, psychological effects, and disturbing imagery. What I found especially interesting is that none of the stories have a happy ending. Instead of feeling disappointed, I actually loved this choice because it made the horror feel more realistic and memorable.

Each story focuses on a different haunting experience. One story is about a woman who is trapped reliving the same nightmare over and over again. Another follows a couple who become consumed by a supernatural force to keep them trapped. The third story is about a mysterious woman in white who takes control of those she encounters. The final story is about a house that brings a person’s sins to life.

Overall, this book is perfect for readers who enjoy dark, psychological, and supernatural horror. The shared setting, strong suspense, and chilling endings made it a very enjoyable and creepy read.

*Releasing on the 10th, a good horror anthology! The proceeds from all retailers will be donated to the Malala Fund, an organization that works to improve and keep education for girls!

Eternally Yours (Tamein St. James): Poor Madison! Her heartache fueled actions lead her to do something she can't undo. And her trauma blinded her to the consequences of her actions, leading to a vicious loop causing her to go crazy. This one kept goosebumps on my arms for sure!

Beloved (Lydia E. Penrose): Harlow & Maeve, I can't imagine losing my love to something so sinister or living in a time where it wasn't safe to be open about your relationship. This was a little hard to read because at a certain point it made me sad to see their situation. But hopefully they get the peace they so rightfully deserve!

La Dame Blanche (Amaya Jax): Thomas & Helene, just newlyweds hoping to have the perfect honeymoon when it suddenly gets ripped away from them! They seemed so happy and in love. The spirit of the house didn't like that so she took vengence into her own hands 😳 At least now they get to be together again...

The Unravelling of Dunwich End (Madeline Dyer): I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one! It was a fast paced story about Lyra, who basically self-decays due to secrets unravelling. This one was a wild twist of events!
Thank you @tamsinstjames, @lydia.e.penrose, @author_amayajax_, and @madelinetheauthor for the privilage to be part of your ARC team!

Okay but listen… this isn’t just a collection of horror stories. This is a house with a pulse. And it is watching.

This anthology is anchored to a single location that doesn’t simply sit there looking ominous. It breathes. It listens. It remembers. And it has a nasty little habit of dragging the truth out of people by force.

In Dunwich, lies don’t stay tucked behind polite smiles. Guilt doesn’t stay internal. Denial doesn’t get to rot quietly in the dark. The house amplifies it. Twists it. Makes it physical.

And when I say physical, I mean physical…

The connective thread here is deliciously cruel: this place sees everything, knows everything, and demands its reckoning. It corrects what’s been festering.

Even if that correction looks like someone being peeled open—emotionally, psychologically, sometimes very literally.

No one escapes unscathed. Not the liars. Not the cowards. Not the ones who thought they could bury what they’ve done and walk away clean.

By the end, you’re not just unsettled by what happened in Dunwich—you’re side-eyeing your own walls. Wondering what they’ve absorbed. Wondering what would happen if your secrets were forced into the light.

If you love horror that feels intimate, invasive, and morally sharp as broken glass… this one doesn’t just haunt. It indicts.

Love Drips Red on Dunwich End is a hauntingly atmospheric anthology where four authors bring wildly different voices together, and somehow arrive at the same unsettling truth.

This collection is deeply character-driven, relying on slow-building dread rather than cheap shocks. The horror creeps in through emotions, choices, and the weight of what’s left unsaid. It’s demanding in the best way, asking you to stay engaged and sit with the discomfort instead of rushing to the next page for relief.

The overall tone is gothic, heavy, and beautifully bleak. Love and horror are tightly intertwined here, often twisted, painful, and doomed. Each story leaves something behind — a lingering unease, a quiet ache long after it ends.

If you enjoy atmospheric horror with strong characters, dark romantic undertones, and stories that aren’t afraid to be a little mean to their readers, Love Drips Red on Dunwich End is absolutely worth your time.

Love drips red on Dunwich end is a twisted wild ride meant for those of us who crave the darker side of love.
4 authors, 4 stories, all so different from each other.
Each, in their own way show the potential for love to be deadly, and extend beyond life as we know it!
A lady in white stalking newlyweds, mysterious notes, a runaway seeking safety and instead being faced with a horrifying truth, a fixer upper that whispers in the dark....
Each story kept me invested and on the edge of my seat, the last took a turn I never saw coming. I was nearly in tears before I almost threw my Kindle!

The fact this is also a benefit book, every purchase donated just makes it even more of a must buy, must read. Follow each author for a wide variety of reads.

This book was such a ride! I am friends of two of the authors and thankfully received the book as an ARC!
Although I love watching horror, I haven't read many books, so I quite enjoyed this experience!!

All the houses on on Dunwich End have their story to tell and let's just say it won't be pretty for anyone!

The twists in the stories were great even for a seasoned horror fan. There was something that I enjoyed in every story, but the first two were my favorites.

if you're a fan of shows like Haunting of Hill House then you will enjoy this book!

I did leave the last story with some questions so hopefully I'll be able to talk to someone soon about it!

What a way to open this anthology with a little twist of horror. The way it shifts from paranormal haunting to elements of murder and manic mental episodes that are stuck on repeat just had me seated for the entire story. This was a first time read by the author and I was severely impressed with the overall climactic unfolding towards the end that I look forward to reading more titles by the author.

I’m not sure if she ever presents her name but a woman is busy preparing a Valentine’s Day evening for her one and only Jason, who should be arriving at any time. She makes all the food, prepares the table, and gets ready herself to the likings of Jason, who we hear has a temper with things being his way. Along the way, she starts to notice several little notes being left behind around the house, assuming Jason is the one leaving them about. But the true horrors unfold towards the end when the truth comes out about the letters and why Jason has been taking so long to arrive.

It’s truly a jaw-dropping ending that will catch you off guard in this intense, fast-paced novella with a good for her theme that’s perfect for the upcoming lovey dovey holiday.

This is a nice little sapphic haunting that will have you invested on what is truly going on within the Victorian house they made their home. It’s not your cliche storyline but has a bit of a Amityville Horror feel to it, if the ending had a huge twist that you won’t see coming. It’s paced nicely where it doesn’t feel too dragged out and develops a mysterious paranormal ambiance readers will enjoy.

After Maeve and Harlow move into the Victorian home of their dreams, weird things start to take place. To the point where Harlow begins to hear tapping sounds, her name being called, and sees a dark figure move swiftly through the home. Maeve starts to act strangely, as she dives further to prove that what is going on is actually caused by supernatural occurrences. But when Harlow discovers the whole truth about what’s happening, even she won’t be able to believe it.

What a way to bring supernatural elements to a honeymoon. This was a great build-up while using clever Italian poetry to lead each chapter. I loved that it included a portion that translated them into English for those of us that indulged in their little charms. As for the plot, it was enticing how it connected to Dunwitch End; where things are always out of the ordinary.

Thomas and Helene are newlyweds who decided to rent out a little spot on Dunwitch End to celebrate their matrimony. But things start to crumble when Helene starts acting out of her usual self. Acts she can’t come back from.

A delectable tale of possession and ignorance, that leaves you with more questions about the truth of Dunwitch End.

Now this is how you end an anthology. With a creepy congregational story about one’s survival against who she is supposedly being searched for. It had all the thrills. The suspense with a satisfying ending that berates the reader about the truth of the situation she put herself in. I was invested, wanting to know more morbid history about Dunwitch End.

Love Drips Red on Dunwich End is an anthology that understands something many collections don’t: horror is not about shock - it’s about insistence. About the way love, when left to rot, keeps breathing.

What binds these stories together is not just setting or mood, but obsession as a slow infection. Love here is devotional, possessive, circular. It repeats itself. It rewrites memory. It wears familiar scents and familiar handwriting until you can no longer tell where tenderness ends and menace begins. The anthology feels deliberately claustrophobic, as if each story is another room in the same house - and once inside, time stops behaving.

Eternally Yours is the emotional spine of the collection. Its gradual psychological unravelling is exquisitely paced, unsettling without theatrics, and devastating in hindsight. The repetition of letters, routines, and reassurances becomes a weapon, turning romance into ritual and ritual into horror. What makes this story so effective is its control: the reader is led gently, lovingly, into the dark, only realising too late that the door has already closed behind them.

“Everything must be perfect. He’ll expect nothing less. I expect nothing less.”

“I couldn’t let him leave.”

Beloved, my personal standout, leans into atmosphere and intimacy with remarkable restraint. The house feels alive not because it screams, but because it listens. There is a quiet confidence in the way this story allows dread to accumulate organically, rooted in relationships rather than spectacle. The emotional connection between the characters grounds the supernatural elements, making the unease feel personal, almost tender - and therefore far more disturbing.

“We tried to make this house a home.”

“Some truths are so terrible they must remain unspoken. Because if you speak them aloud, you can never take them back. They grow roots. They stay and they fester.”

“The darkness starts small and then grow, until your vision is monochrome.”

La Dame Blanche introduces a lyrical, almost folkloric rhythm to the anthology. Its fragmented structure and temporal repetition echo the nature of the legend itself, giving the story a dreamlike, suspended quality. There’s a sense of inevitability here - not fear of what will happen, but of what has always been happening, which lends the piece a haunting, melancholic beauty.

“Until death do us part.”

“The whole house is starting to feel different; darker, yet more alive.”

“Seems like I already got you your next sacrifice.”

The Unravelling of Dunwich End works as both culmination and echo, drawing together the anthology’s themes of memory, place, and psychological decay. It feels broader in scope, more outward-facing, yet still deeply rooted in interior collapse. The story reinforces the idea that places remember, that endings are rarely clean, and that some truths only surface once everything else has come apart.

“The house is weeping.”

“My teeth lie like marbles beside my broken skull.”

“Lies contaminate. Lies destroy.”

While not every piece lands with the same emotional force, the anthology as a whole benefits from a strong curatorial vision. Even when themes repeat, they do so with intention, reinforcing the sense of entrapment rather than dulling it.

This is not a comforting read. It doesn’t hold your hand or soften its edges. Love Drips Red on Dunwich End is for readers who enjoy their romance bruised, their horror intimate, and their ghosts emotional rather than loud.

Unsettling, cohesive, and quietly cruel - a solid four stars.

Thank you to the authors for the ARC and for trusting readers with stories that don’t flinch or soften their edges.

Stories included in the anthology :

✨ Eternally Yours by Tamsin St. James
✨ Beloved by Lydia E. Penrose
✨ La Dame Blanche by Amaya Jax
✨ The Unravelling of Dunwich End by Madeline Dyer

This anthology caught me off guard in the best possible way. Four short horror stories, all set in the same place, yet each one feels distinct in tone, theme, and execution. What connects them isn’t repetition—it’s atmosphere. From the first pages, the book creates a sense of unease that never really lets you breathe, and every story escalates toward an ending that lands hard and lingers long after you’ve finished reading.

Each tale leans into a different shade of horror: psychological tension, haunted domestic spaces, obsession, folklore, cult mentality, and body horror. What they all share is the ability to keep you questioning reality alongside the characters. You’re constantly asking yourself whether what’s happening is supernatural, imagined, or something far more unsettling—and often the answer isn’t what you expect.

The writing across all four stories is immersive and deliberate. It’s the kind of horror that pulls you inside the characters’ heads and makes you experience their fear, confusion, and longing firsthand. The pacing is tight, the twists are sharp, and the endings are bold—sometimes shocking, sometimes tragic, always effective.

What stood out to me most was how easy it was to become invested in the protagonists, even when their choices were questionable or their perceptions unreliable. There’s a strong emotional core running through the anthology, particularly in the way love is portrayed: as devotion, fixation, grief, desire, and decay. Valentine’s Day becomes less about romance and more about what happens when love curdles, clings, or refuses to let go.

One of my personal highlights was Beloved by Lydia E. Penrose. It felt intimate, sorrowful, and deeply haunted—like a story that had already lived a long life before you ever stepped into it. The way it blurs the boundary between grief and devotion lingered with me long after I finished, and there are moments from it that still bite.

Although each story works perfectly on its own, there’s an added layer of satisfaction in realizing that the setting itself is more than just a backdrop. By the end, it becomes clear that this location is a kind of container—a place where broken people, buried truths, and unresolved horrors seem to gather. The book never spells this out outright, which makes the realization feel earned rather than explained.

One story leans into eerie domestic suspense, another into a deeply emotional and haunted relationship, another into folkloric and paranormal obsession, and the last spirals into disorienting cult and body horror. The balance between subtle dread and outright intensity is handled well, even when the content becomes uncomfortable or extreme.

Overall, this anthology left a serious impression on me. It’s unsettling, cleverly constructed, and confident in its ability to disturb without relying on the same tricks twice. The fact that the proceeds support a good cause only adds to its appeal.

The four authors involved delivered something genuinely haunting—a collection that creeps under your skin, rearranges your thoughts, and makes you look twice at the idea of love, home, and safety. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys horror that messes with both the mind and the heart.

Part 1 Eternally Yours - Tamsin St. James

This short story was written with a nostalgic view. Madison in a big old worn down house by herself on Valentines Day, finding letters portraying a deep love and longing, while she prepares for the evening.

This was so beautifully written, I could almost feel myself holding my breath when Madison did, and the tension building as it did in her house, the cool air seeping into my skin giving me chills.

The twist and ending in this is incredible. I have to say this was exceptional and held me captive from the very first page.

Part 2 Beloved - Lydia E. Penrose

Maeve inherits an old dilapidated house on Dunwich End for her and her partner Harlow to live in.

A great believer in spirits, it doesn’t take long for Maeve to sense that the house is haunted, and what starts off as tapping noises, soon becomes something far more sinister.

Maeve starts to drift, with Harlow wakening up to find her sleepwalking, and she becomes increasingly distant and distracted. Harlow continues the house renovations determined to make the place “home” but even she can no longer deny the shadows in the hallway, and the shift in temperature in a room.

The question is how far would you let your girlfriend go to prove to you that ghosts are real?

Honestly, the ending of this book will have you horrified and emotional in equal measures. This was a fantastic piece of writing.

Part 3 La Dame Blanche - Amaya Jax

This short story was full of spice, eeriness and paranormal happenings.

When Helene and her new husband headed to Dunwich End for a secluded honeymoon together, they both got far more than they bargained for.

It wasn’t long before their raunchy love life and newlywed bliss came crashing down when Helene started to hear voices and have nightmares.

This story is written with a sense of inevitability, but the ending still managed to shock me!

A fabulous tale of possession, love and horror.

Part 4 The Unravelling of Dunwich End - Madeline Dyer

This part doesn’t have Unravelling in the title for no reason. From the very start this story begins to build a steady tension and fear of what is to come, and then everything begins to unravel piece by piece until the ending ultimately blows your mind.

What a fantastic way to end the Anthology.

I can honestly say I was gripped by this tale from the very first page, desperate for Lyra to find safety and solace. We’ve come to know by now that Dunwich End does not keep secrets buried and what is about to be uncovered could prove too much for Lyra to face.

Eternally Yours by Tamsin St James

"He isn't yours. He's mine."

Blood red. Letters left behind to be found.

You await for your beloved to return for Valentines day. But, you hear things. See things. Smell things. The letters you find confuse you. Memories threaten to break free.

I ate Eternally Yours up. It was short, sweet, and just the right amount of "oh?"

--------------------------------

Beloved By Lydia E. Penrose

Maeve and Harlow move into an inherited house on Dunwich End that needs alot of TLC. Over time Maeve starts to drift away, become distant. She tries to cleanse the house with sage, salt, crystals. She starts mumbling in her sleep, and saying things like "Don't leave me".

Lydia...MA'AM. You had me wanting to cry. I know this was suppose to be horror but way was this so wholesome?

---------------------------------

La Dame Blanche by Amaya Jax

The title kind give the theme away 😬👻

Thomas and Helene are on their 🥀honeymoon🥀, renting house in on "Dunwich End".

They have a great relationship, and the spice was spicing. Well...until some evil whispering starts to have an effect on Helene...

"Not even death could separate us."

----------------------------------

The Unraveling Of Dunwich End by Madelin Dyer

NOW this story was a wild ride. 👀🤭

Lyra is on the run...from a commune.

She ends up at her Aunt’s house on (Yep) Dunwich Lane in a state of disrepair with her Aunt nowhere to be found.

I loved all the backstory, and how you slowly got the truth after a while. And BOY was it worth the wait.

"Number 7 puts things right."

Love Drips Red on Dunwich End is an anthology curated by four uniquely talented authors. Each story has it's own twisted, chilling vibe and they somehow all melt together wonderfully into a collection of dark love stories.
Eternally Yours had me retracing steps and thoughts and trying to decipher clues hidden in notes left behind. Or were they? I loved the twist and the way the author carried you along through the character's frantic thoughts.
Beloved takes you through a story of a lover of the spirits and her partner who is skeptical until she can't explain the presence filling their new home. Maybe a little too committed to proving ghosts are real, we unravel the truths within the walls.
La Dame Blanche brings us a couple on their honeymoon on Dunwich End, what possibly could go wrong? The passion between these lovers is spicy and erect, layered deeply into their bond. Is Helene imagining things or is the house trying to tell her something? Can she tell her husband she thinks she's hearing voices?
The Unravelling of Dunwich End is a perfect ending to this collection of stories. I loved the jumping between present day and the past. The story engulfs you, forcing you to need to know what happened. Who's truth is the right one?

These authors blended their stories beautifully, and I loved the darker theme to each part of the book. The psychological horror trickles through the pages keeping you stuck on Dunwich End and questioning everything.

This anthology by four female writers centres around events which take place at Dunwich End. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the title alludes to a Lovecraft tale, which is indeed mentioned in one of the stories – it sets the tone for the type of stories within.

To be released just before St Valentine’s Day, 2026, each tale gives a different take on the horrors that love can lead to.

- Eternally Yours takes paranoia and distils it to terrifying proportions.
- Beloved explores the indistinct relationship between love and death.
- La Dame Blanche is (almost) a classic haunted house tale, with sex scenes that would make James Herbert blush and a finale I did not see coming.
- The Unravelling of Dunwich End shows that the scariest things in life are not necessarily the dead, with a mysterious backstory and enough gore to make Shaun Hutson squirm.

Each story had me flying through the text, flipping the pages as I raced to the horrific conclusion.

Important note: all proceeds go to the Malala Fund, an organisation working for a world where every girl can learn and choose her own future. This is the fifth but most important reason to buy this book.

I’m so thankful to have received this arc🖤
I arc read “Hollow Secrets” by Tamsin St. James last year, and absolutely loved it. I knew I would want to read something else by her, and this didn’t disappoint!

Love Drips Red on Dunwich End is an anthology composed of four short stories from four different authors. “Eternally Yours” by Tamsin St. James, “Beloved” by Lydia E. Penrose, “La Dame Blanche” by Amaya Jax, and “The Unraveling of Dunwich End” by Madeline Dyer. Each story had its own jaw dropping twist, and an ending you’ll never see coming! The attention to detail, and the psychological horror, had me questioning what was real and what’s not! Each story is very well written, and though these are short stories, the characters and their personalities never lacked!
