★ What if Hitler didn’t die in 1945? ★
May 1945. Berlin has fallen. The world celebrates the end of the war—and the reported death of Adolf Hitler.
But one young Jewish survivor swears she saw him alive.
Second Lieutenant Cy Jacobson, fresh from West Point and untested in real combat, is ordered to investigate a hidden Nazi tunnel complex buried beneath the Austrian hills. There, he meets Rachel Cohen, an eighteen-year-old survivor whose courage defies her frail frame—and whose eyewitness claim could rewrite history.
If she’s telling the truth, the war isn’t over.
As whispers spread through Allied intelligence that Hitler may have escaped Berlin, a covert unit is formed and dispatched across a shattered Europe. Their mission is simple to state but nearly impossible to find the truth—and stop what comes next.
From the ruins of Berlin to secret mountain strongholds and shadowed routes into South America, Orion Six is a relentless WWII thriller of pursuit, conspiracy, and the race to prevent a second catastrophe.
For readers of historical suspense, military intrigue, and high-stakes espionage, Orion Six asks the question history never fully

About the author
Dan Klasing
9 books35 followersI live in Alabama. Yes, I know. Stereotypes abound about the south in general and Alabama in particular. Some are true. Some are not. I graduated from Auburn University and then attended law school at The University of Alabama. There’s a big football rivalry between the two schools you may have heard about. It’s a major thing down here.
For almost thirty years I practiced law all over the state. No need to bore you with that, except for the fact that my job allowed me to meet real-life characters of all types. Some good. Some bad. And some were just plain outlandish. Not surprisingly, I often develop characters based on the interesting people I met through the years.
I’m still a lawyer, at least technically. But now I’m doing something I truly love – writing. As an attorney, I wrote all the time. Mostly, mind-numbingly detailed legal motions and briefs and such. Now, I can write what I want.
I have an awesome wife who puts up with my eccentricities ¬– writing late into the night or hanging out in the garage fiddling with old cars. She is a lawyer too, but a much better one than I ever was and beautiful to boot.
I’m a lucky guy.
I hope you enjoy the books!

Very interesting take on an old story
Dan Klasing writes a very interesting version of a WW 2 ending. The characters are a little too standard. Green lieutenant, grizzled sarge. a couple of well worn troops and a pretty survivor of the concentration camps. The plot is well developed and makes use of the well known events at the end of the war. An enjoyable read.

This is a clever story of the pursuit of Hitler after the war ended--he was declared dead by the Russians, but...
The characters are all well developed and believable as are the locations. The story is fast and clever. I recommend it.

Imaginative.
Full of dangerous situations, mixed with flawed characters that rose to occasion to answer their call. One of the main characters finally, after many perils, kill the nemesis in her mind and embrace a new future. Conrad Samayoa

Page turner. Makes you think of the possibilities that Hitler had escaped or that doppelgangers could have been used.

Interesting read on history that could/may have occurred. Great characters from both the good and evil sides. Look forward to many more books from this author.

Did Hitler survive??
Very good accounting of what could have been or maybe close to the truth. Definitely worth reading and come to your own conclusions.

An enjoyable read. Outcome was probably a bit predictable but still worth reading. Would definitely read more books by this author.

A good book to read if you enjoy belevable thriller stories. A small unit hunt for Hitler in Austria and Italy at the end of WW2.

The writing wasn’t amazing, but the premise was intriguing and the storytelling was good enough.

Whilst this wasn't a bad story I did expect it to be more captivating than it was. There have been a number of previous novels where the premise that the architect of the horror that was WW2 and the annihilation of whole swathes of ethnic groups, did not die in Berlin, but absconded to live another day and rise up with a Fourth Reich. This is another, but there was a degree of triteness and trope in the characterisation and their interactions that distracted at times from the exciting intent of the story. Villains were suitably villainous and evil, whilst heroes were suitably heroic and righteous, and they were carried along at a fair old pace by a plot that was mostly believably interesting and exciting, and an ending that was predictably satisfying.
Strong enough a read that I would try another of the authors novels.
