Cove Nash knew she was going to follow in her uncle’s footsteps from a young age, and she’s finally making it as a musician. Pack life would only get in the way, so it’s not an option. After all, not every omega wants or needs alphas...
But life on the road isn’t anything like she expected, and her suppressants are making her sicker with every passing day.
Ravvi Sinclair has been in love with Cove for as long as he can remember, and his little brother, Damian, wasn’t going to be left behind. Add in Declan Clark, who was roped into handling Cove’s personal security, and no one outside of the omega is particularly happy to be on tour.
Still, the guys know the realities of the music industry, and they won’t abandon her to that, even if she’s intent on fighting them every step of the way.
Cove has to learn that it’s not possible to do everything alone, and sometimes that thing you fought the hardest against is actually what you needed the most.
Too Many Options is a companion novella. I highly suggest having read The Ruined Records Duet, No Omega Needed, and Not Many Options to get the most enjoyment out of Cove's storyline. There is no cheating, no choosing, and no cliffhanger! This is Cove's complete romance.
Forever will be obsessed with Jillian's books. I can always count on them to pull me out of slumps and to hold my attention through the entire book. I mean, I read this until 3 am - no "ragrets" 😜
Possible spoilers - fair warning just in case 🖤
I liked Cove a lot, and there were moments where I wanted to shake her and tell her not to let these amazing alphas slip through her fingers. Granted, she's young, so she still has a lot to figure out in life, understandably.
What I love most is that Jillian did what seems impossible - creating a book that interconnects with multiple other releases, of the children from those releases now grown up. Not only could I imagine how difficult that most likely is, but I'm sure there's a sense of worry about whether it will live up to the expectations that fans are holding for said book or not. Well, I'm here to tell you that it blew all my expectations out the window and was way better than I could have fathomed. Then again, this is Jillian we're talking about. She never goes halfway and always goes above and beyond with her work.
Ravvi, our psychic, clairaudient alpha, who knew that Cove was his before even meeting her. I loved him in the other books, and I really loved him in this one. The love, devotion, and loyalty he has for our FMC is so precious. He never faltered, even when he needed distance. He broke my heart the most when it came to Cove because he wanted her with every fiber of his being, and she was too stubborn to see it. I couldn't imagine having the abilities he has and knowing that she is legitimately the other half of his soul, just for her to constantly pick fights with him and push him away. Thankfully, our lover boy was sticking to his guns and had his eye on the prize.😍
Damian, our neurodivergent alpha, who has such a hard time on the tour, but pushes through it for his woman. I loved him so much, and Jillian has always written neurodivergence in such a beautiful way, in my opinion. Not only is she writing characters that are relatable and inclusive, but it also opens more of a door for understanding for those who aren't familiar with autism. Damian's character really shone, and I wanted to scream at the characters who even brought him an ounce of discomfort, lol. And the spice scene with him? PLEASE. It was so good. Who knew Damian could be so wild? 😜
Declan, our bodyguard alpha, who uses their age gap as an excuse to keep his distance - we all know Cove wouldn't let that slide for long haha! His reminiscent thoughts of Pops really tugged at my heartstrings. Grief comes in all forms, and I love that Jillian includes this in her books. The ass comment Pops had made had me cackling, because relatable lol. Of course, Declan had to be our stubborn guy who took a bit longer to come around, but they're inevitable.
The spice was hot as always. I do wish there were a bit more to the spice (DP or full group scenes, heat, etc.) But overall, the scenes were still smokin'. 🔥🔥🔥
The only reason why it's a 4.5 for me is because of the no pregnancy. I get it though, JW probably needs a break from those, and Cove, again, just didn't seem emotionally or mentally ready for it. I think they'd be great dads if ya ask me 🖤

I’ve always been vocal that the ruined records series, specifically the original duet, is some of my favorite works from this author. So, needless to say, when I heard their kids were getting a book, I was ecstatic! Ravi was so interesting, even as a child, I was excited to see how he was as an adult he progressed, especially since he knew when he met Cove that she was ‘the one’.
Excluding Ravi, our other mmcs are Damien, Ravi’s brother, and Declan, who is a bodyguard for their band. Cove is different than any omega Jillian is written before— She doesn’t want to be a home body omega, she has a music dream she wants to fulfill.
I really enjoyed this book, it was written in the same style but different, in a good way. I reccomend reading the earlier books before this one, but I think you can get away without it if you really wanted to.
• Omegaverse • Why choose/MFMM • Rockstar romance • Childhood friends to lovers • Band mates • Soul match • Second gen • Forced proximity • Strong FMC • Age Gap
JILLIAN GAVE US COVE’S BOOK!!!
This book will definitely make more sense if you’ve read the Ruined Records series. This felt like a full circle moment, not only for Cove’s story, but also for her alphas. Jillian did such a wonderful job bringing her story together while staying true to her Ruined Records characters. I loved being back in this world so much and getting to see these characters after reading each of their parents’ books.
Cove was such a strong FMC, which she absolutely needed to be in the line of work she was in. As much as she had alphas surrounding her, ready to help and protect her at any moment, Cove was strong enough to take care of herself. But watching her go soft for her alphas and allow them to take care of her was my favorite part. These alphas showered her with so much care and understanding. After years and years of yearning between each of them in different ways, it was sweet to see Jillian bring their HEA together, along with the history they all shared.
I love Jillian’s neurodivergent representation so much. She always does such a great job handling each of her characters, but the way she handled Damian’s character was perfection, especially having Lyric explain the feelings Damian was going through. Lyric has always been one of my favorite FMCs that Jillian has ever written, so you can only guess how excited I was to meet Damian’s character and get to know him more. And Jillian absolutely didn’t disappoint.
Ravvi’s character intrigued me so much, especially after reading the author’s note. His clairvoyance added such a fun layer to his character, one I was expecting, and I loved every second of getting to understand this added fun fact about him.
I LOVE a bodyguard age gap romance, and the relationship between Cove and Declan was so sweet. He was such a beautiful caretaker, and I loved when he finally allowed himself to start falling for her.
Jillian truly outdid herself with this one. Cove’s story was well done and filled with so much angst and yearning in the best way. It was impossible not to fall in love with this group all over again. This book was a beautiful full circle moment for the Ruined Records world. So well done!
This is the book every Ruined Records fan has been waiting for and it’s a second-generation companion novella that delivers. I was so excited when Jillian announced that Cove was finally getting a book and there’s so much good stuff that is packed into this one little novella. And obviously I was excited for Ravvi, Damian and Declan too! Highly recommend jumping into the Ruined Records, No Omega Needed & Not Many Options books before reading this novella.
What I love so much about this novella is how much Jillian was able to pack in. The character and relationship growth was top tier, and I forgot how much I missed the Ruined Records world. While Cove might come off as immature and a bit spoiled there is so much more to this omega. She is vulnerable, hurt and just wanting to make a name for herself far from her family. And the fact she has three hot alphas (even if one begrudgingly follows along for protection) with whom she has history, joining her on tour makes for a great story. As someone who is really picky about bonding, grovel and heats Jillian does a superb job in healing old wounds and ensuring each alpha has the opportunity to build their connection with Cove.
I’m hoping this is a segue into even more rockstar romances by Jillian West.
OH MY GOD I CAN'T BELIEVE I'M READING COVES STORY!!! 🥲🥲🥲
This was such a special book to me because I LOVE Not Many Options!! AND I LOVE COVE SO MUCH!!! So reading as her growing up to be this AMAZING SUPER STAR IS SUCH A BEAUTIFUL MOMENT 🥲🥲 I feel like a proud auntie 🥲🥲 (And also what a book to end my year and reach my 2025 reading goal 🤣)
Anyway WOULD IT BE HILARIOUS if Cove still called Killian KIKI i love that nickname 🤣🤣🤣
The push and pull Cove and her alpha have is INSANELY ADDICTING 🥲🥲 LIKE GIRRLLL I KNOW YOU'RE SCARED BUT THEY GOT YOU 🥲🥲 And Damians story as a neuro divergent is soooo amazingly done!!
UUGGHH OVER ALL THIS BOOK IS SOO SOO GOOD!!!
Definitely would highly highly suggest you guys read the Ruin Records duet, No Omega Needed and Not Many Options before jumping in but it's not necessary. Because the Author explained the connection really well but it's definitely a good back story before jumping into this one!
Book Contains: - Rock Star Romance - Why Choose Omega Verse (FMMM) - Neuro divergent & Bi Rep - Virgin MMCs - Age Gap - Mentioned of Drugs and Parental Neglect - Usage of Weed
I love love lovvve Jillian’s books and I was so stoked when she said Cove was getting her own book, since Not Many Options is one of my all time favourite JW books!! It does include characters from the Ruined Records duet but those are the only books I have not read yet and I wasn’t lost on characters! This was so cute, sweet, and delicious. Jillian always writes the best alphas of all tropes and personality traits and I love watching the dynamics grow in Cove’s pack!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First 5⭐️ of 2026!! I loved this book but I really enjoy second generation books. This gave a look into past characters while also focusing on the new characters. And I’m so happy we got Cove’s story. I am obsessed with all of them but Damien has got to be my favorite of all. I just really felt for him through the whole book. And when he claimed Cove? 🥵 Another great, low angst, quick read
I was so happy to see Jillian writing Cove's book. I knew Ravvi would make sure she got her happy ending, but man reading it was a roller coaster. Ravvi has always known Cove was his, voices or not. He's been biding his time waiting for her, but a mistake several years ago put a distance between them. Cove has dreams of being a rockstar and they soon go on tour including Damien, Ravvi's younger brother, and Declan, the twin's (bandmates) uncle, as security. Cove wants to show others that being an Omega doesn't define her and that she can tour like the best of them. The others are all along for the ride. Damien is neurodivergent but refuses to be left behind and wants and needs to follow Cove and his brother. Ravvi is amazing in the spotlight, but again, only there for Cove. Declan? He thinks she's a spoiled Omega brat who expects others to fall at her feet. When Cove's suppressants start to fail and make her very sick, she's scared Ravvi will run away again. It causes a strain on their friendship even though they both want more. Damien has never had romantic feelings for anyone, but sees Cove in that light, especially the more she shows she understands his feelings and the little things that make him different. She always has accepted him for who he is. The more time on the road, the more Declan also sees her in a new light. Cove knows he doesn't think highly of her, but Declan starts to see he was wrong, and that now he has to fight his ideas on their age gap being a problem. It's not, btw. This was low angst, but did have a little bit of it. Seeing these characters after reading all their parents' books was the closure I felt I personally needed. And Jillian did it so well. We wouldn't expect these young adults to have the same issues as their parents as they were raised in better and more secure homes. There was not manufactured drama just for it, and I love that the group was so close because they were raised close as they aged. they very much acted their age too, which can be frustrating only because I WAS that age and I know I did those things too haha. I love the slow move from friends and security to lovers. It happened realistically and authentically and at the pace that made sense for them. The spicy scenes were done so well and were so heartful and you could feel them all connect. I loved reading this so muc.
Some tropes: *AAAO *Neurodivergent MMC *Age gap *Soul Match *Scent Match *Heat scenes *Rockstars
I loved this book, it follows a few of the children from the ruined record series. Cove, Declan, Damien and Ravvi.
it's better in my opinion to read the entire runed records series to get a feel for who belongs to who, and it's the fact that its' an amazing series doesn't hurt! however, if you just want to jump-off into this one, after about the third chapter it's just the mains and becomes clearer.
Cove is a sweet girl who wants to make her dreams come true of being a star, she's on tour and also putting off her heat with suppressants until the tour is over and they are making her really sick. Ravvi and Damien are brothers touring with her and Ravvi has known from the second he and cove met that they were destined to be together. Cove however isnt' having it from Ravvi, especially and mostly because during her first heat she asked him to help her out and he told her no. Cove was embarrassed and is holding a grudge. Damien, Ravvi's brother has sensory issues and doesn't like to be touched but finds that with cove it's not a problem, those two together are the sweetest, and then there's Declan, he's all alpha and is in charge of Cove's security, he's fighting the attraction to her hard. When they finally all work it out it makes for some incredible spicy scenes. My personal favorite is Declan but Ravvi came in a close second, i found it incredibly interesting the Ravvi has special abilities, he can hear voices and the things they say are interesting. I always enjoy a little supernatural with my spice and this was chef's kiss.
Jillian West is an automatic read for me, i devour everything she puts out. she is without question one of my favorite authors. If you enjoyed the ruined record series, you'll love this story as well. if you didn't read ruined records, you'll still love this story! I can't give it enough stars, but I'll try, absolute 10 and 100 on the spicy scenes!!!
So, there was some concern from the author about people feeling lost if they had not read the previous books in this series first. I have not, and I purposely did not, prior to reading this ARC and I can confidently say, enough is explained in the beginning of the book to help the reader understand the connections of the characters without bogging the story down.
Cove wants to be a Rockstar and not an Omega, she feels like Omegas are unable to live the lives that they really want because biology dictates that they submit to Alphas and make babies and happy homes. She feels that being an Omega will keep her from living her dreams and so she uses suppressants. Unfortunately, those have some major side effects.
Ravvi has known since he met Cove that she's his and he has zero problem telling her so. Damian seems to be pretty apathetic about her even though he knows he'll be a part of her pack, until we get further into the story. He's also on the spectrum so he feels like no one really understands him except Ravvi unto Cove proves to him otherwise. Declan on the other hand swears he's not attracted to Cove, wants nothing to do with the spoiled little princess and fights his instincts, until he can't.
As with any OV book, there's plenty of steamy scenes, some one on one, some group activities and it all felt very realistic in how younger people are still learning about themselves and their partners while the older one, ahem Declan, knew exactly what to do.
There are actually a couple of different mental health reps in this book, so take the time to read the authors trigger warnings. For some people, those could be an issue, for me just just made the story make more sense and feel well fleshed out.
It feels like I was waiting years for this one. I thought it would coming sooner but I am grateful we eventually got it!
The good Jillian West ALWAYS delivers solid neurodivergent rep in her books. Damian was done beautifully and I loved that even in the last scene we have a nod to Cove making a big life choice (her wedding dress) to make sure he could touch her on their special day. I loved the nods to Bryan from the Ruined Records Duet and I almost cried when Ravi mentioned Damian was the one who taught him to play piano and kept him company at the orphanage. I thought the explanation for why they werenʼt together yet when Cove is 21 was really well done. With Ravi being so sure I donʼt think there was any other route for Jillian to have gone to explain why they werenʼt together yet. There had to be something keeping them apart at 21 and 25 years old. (If you read Knot Many Options, you saw them not being together at that age and I always wondered why they were not!) The first heat made sense from BOTH of their points of view. I felt for each of them individually even if I was frustrated.
Iʼm happy this one wasnʼt too steamy. The focus is on the character growth and the relationship development and that was more satisfying than having a bunch of meaningless sex scenes.
The not so good I thought the relationship with Declan had the most character growth. That frustrated me because I really wanted the focus on Cove and Ravi. Damian didnʼt bother me because it was always implied that he would be part of her harem but I went into Too Many Options expecting Riot and Creed to be part of the harem. It was a little disappointing they werenʼt but I hope Jillian gives us stories for them and their sister in the future!

I was SO excited to get Cove's story. Not Many Options is one of my favorite go-to comfort reads. Cove was a sassy toddler in that story, and I expected her to blaze her own trail in life. This story was everything I wanted, and needed it to be.
I understood Cove's choice to be strong, and independent, but I didn't agree with a lot of her choices, like holding a choice Ravvi made against him. In my mind that just made her a more real character, even if I sometimes found myself not really liking her as a person. I think she even realized she shouldn't be punishing him, especially since his reasoning was correct, but sometimes logic doesn't play a part in hurt feelings. I loved learning more about Ravvi's abilities and what living with it has been like from his point of view.
Damien was one of my favorite of the guys, even tho I swear I would never choose, lol. It was probably because I saw myself the most in him. He put his needs, feelings, discomfort on the back burner to support Cove's dream. She knows he is doing this for her, and it's interesting to see how conflicted she feels about it.
Declan is the one I know the least about. He has a complicated past, and is not eager to be what he considers to be a glorified babysitter to a spoiled, pampered princess. While there are definitely times I see where he is coming from, I think he is starting to realize she isn't exactly what he originally thought.
I loved seeing them all grow as people during the story. They faught for their HEA, and it was beautiful. The way they had each others' backs was lovely to see.
Cove was one of the stories I looked forward to the most. I mean, since I met all of them as kids in the Ruined Records series/Single Mom Romance, I wanted to see their story. Ravvi and Cove were two of my favorite kids, so I was very invested.
Generally speaking, and at risk of repeating myself as usual, I love all of Jillian West's books. There isn't a book I haven't loved so far. I will continue doing so. I love the way she writes all her characters. They are all too real and vivid with their unique personalities and quirks. She is perfect at this! And she definitely writes my favorite kind of unhinged/morally gray guys. 😂
But back to the story. I don't do spoilers. So, I can only say, that I immensely enjoyed the journey of Cove, Ravvi and her other guys (Damian and Declan!). Cove is certainly not like the usual omega. She doesn't want to be a simple omega and wants to be herself and pave a path on her own. Outside of her family. Sure, at times, she is very typical omega-like. But that is par for the course.
Ravvi was always interesting to me (his abilities as a kid). So, to see what kind of guy he became. I mean, he always knew Cove was his. Damian, too, is only there because of her. Declan is the only one, who isn't all too happy to be there at first. As he thinks Cove is a spoiled princess. But again, things change.
So, overall, I enjoyed the hell out of this and was very content with how they connected and became a pack. In a very authentically them way.

Thank you Jillian West as always for letting me rate and review this with my own opinion
I just want to preface this by saying it was a good story. I love everything I’ve read from Jillian West. This story for me just fell flat. My first and absolute favorite read was Not Many Options (Cove’s mom Riley’s story - Jasper and Killian are my favorite). I loved reading about Cove and Ravvi meeting and his adamant optimism that they would be together and I have been waiting for this story since then. For LITERAL YEARS. This is probably why I went in with higher expectations and it just didn’t click. The main male characters were great and so was Cove but I just felt that the story was flat. Like I wanted more details. What happened to Ravvi that made him stop trusting his clairvoyant sense? One of those “voices” he heard was DEFINITELY Bryan - Riley’s brother! How did he not make the connection?!?! It was so obvious! Then Cove changed her mind SO quickly from her dreams of touring. We also didn’t see very much interaction between Cove and Declan so their “love” seemed really fast. Like faster than normal. One minute he dislikes her and the next he wants her too much. I get that it’s Alpha/Omega biology but a lot of the stuff was behind the scenes and we didn’t get very much. The same goes for a lot of the sexy times were behind the scenes. Now don’t get me wrong the scenes were HOT 🥵 AF but still. There also was no heat/spicy scenes with all 4 of them together. I don’t know. I went in expecting greatness and got an “alright”.

Too Many Options is a rockstar omegaverse romance about an omega singer that is find her pack while on tour, and trying to avoid her omega nature. This story takes place in the same world as the Ruined Record series but is more of the second generation of characters. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own. Thank you to the author for my eArc.
Tropes and themes include:
✨Why choose (mfmm)
✨Rockstar romance
✨Friends to lovers
✨Forced proximity
✨Bodyguard MMC
✨Neurodivergent MMC
✨Golden retriever MMC
Rating: 4/5 Stars 3/5 Flames
The Lovely: I enjoyed how the FMC’s relationships with each of the MMCs develop in their own and unique ways. I appreciated the neurodivergent MMC as I could relate to his sensory needs (lace fabric is indeed offensive).
The Mundane: The ending felt off and rushed to me as something I expected we’d see as the reader was glossed over and it seemed like we missed some final development.
Recommendation: The story can be read as a standalone (from the Ruined Record world) but you will be unfamiliar with the first generation characters. I was ok with this and didn’t feel like it hampered my enjoyment. If you’re in the mood for a rockstar omegaverse romance with wonderfully developed relationships, I think you’d like this book.
I have loved everything that Jillian has written so far. I think that reading the 1st gen books does make it a little easier to understand and recognize stuff in this one, but I also think you can read this one first & still understand the story completely.
Cove has been struggling with her designation & her dreams of touring. She wants to be a musician not an Omega. Her pack of Alpha’s that are on tour with her all seem to be struggling too. Damian has a lot of sensory issues that being on tour triggers, Cove seems to be the exception to all of his rules though. Declan….is just Declan 🤣 He is a hard one to explain. He is all broody & seems like this tour is the last place he wants to be, until it’s the only place he wants to be. Ravvi has know that Cove was his for his entire life. He’s been so confident in that, but making the move officially from friends to being more has been a struggle.
Reading these 4 navigate all their individual issues & becoming a pack, while also being on a major tour was such a good read. I know we aren’t going to get a full second gen series for these characters, but if we get little snippets of what happened to them in the background of some other stories I definitely wouldn’t complain!!! 🫶🏼🥰
Too Many Options was short, sweet, and exactly the kind of story that sneaks up on your heart.
I absolutely loved Cove. She felt so real, flawed, and a little self centered at first, but so human. Watching her grow and learn how to let people help her instead of shouldering everything alone genuinely had my heart. That character growth was subtle but powerful.
I was so happy to get more Ravvi. He intrigued me in the previous epilogue, and getting to see him fully on the page was incredibly satisfying. He truly deserves every good thing in the world.
One thing I really appreciated was Jillian West’s Instagram art posts of these characters. I struggle to visualize characters sometimes, so seeing them come to life visually made the story even more immersive and special for me.
Damian’s neurodivergence was handled beautifully, it was thoughtful, respectful, and woven naturally into both the story and their pack dynamics.
The way the characters interacted with and supported him felt authentic and full of care. Add in Declan’s protective, broody energy and it all came together into the perfect pack.
Short, heartfelt, and deeply satisfying. This one is a lovely addition to Jillian West’s world and a reminder of why her stories always feel like coming home.
This was such a wonderful extension of an already-loved storyline, and I devoured every page. Getting to see Cove and Ravvi all grown up felt like a warm reunion with characters I wasn’t quite ready to let go of, and watching how they’d changed, and how they hadn’t, was incredibly satisfying.
Cove absolutely tested my patience throughout this book. Her stubborn independence had me wanting to shake her more than once, but it also felt true to who she is and the journey she needed to take. Seeing her finally confront her limits, her fears, and what she truly needed made the payoff so worth it in the end.
Ravvi was everything I hoped he’d be, steady, devoted, and quietly strong, and I loved how the dynamic between the characters unfolded on tour. Damian and Declan were fantastic additions as well, each bringing their own layer of loyalty, tension, and grounding presence that rounded out the group beautifully.
The emotional growth, the tension, and the slow realization that doing it all alone isn’t strength at all made this story shine. A heartfelt, engaging continuation that adds depth to the world and delivers a deeply satisfying character arc. I’m so glad we got this chapter of Cove and Ravvi’s story.
since this is a 2nd gen, i would HIGHLY recommend reading the other books before this. it’s not exactly necessary, but there is an many mentions of all the different parents, and there are a lot of them, it’ll help keep the names in order in your brain.
this book is messy bc these are young adults working through so much and just trying to figure it out, especially for our fmc Cove. she has so much hurt and also pre-conceived notions of what and who omegas are and what she can and can’t do. but luckily she has people around her, not just in her pack but her bandmates, that help her work though everything. basically idiots in love you want to just figure their shit out 🤣
you don’t a traditional heat in this book or the epilogue since they are touring the entire time and Cove is on suppressants.

Second Generation brings the heat! We get to meet the kids… well adults. This is Coves story. We start out with Cove heading out to start a tour, following her parent’s footsteps. Her bandmates are Damien, Ravvi, Creed, Riot. They are also Second Generation!!! We also see Declan again as he is hired on as the bands (Coves) bodyguard. When Cove has her first heat she comes out heartbroken and with an unintentional grudge. The tour starts off good, but the grind of it starts to weigh on the band. Cove doesn’t want to admit it because she feels like she is not only giving up her dreams but that she is going to disappoint her band. Little does she know Damien and Ravvi are only there for her to fulfill her dreams of being independent and not just an omega. We go through and learn Her pack Damien, Ravvi and stubborn Declan will pretty much do anything for Cove to ensure she has everything she dreams. I absolutely love 2nd generation books, we get little glimpses into the characters we already fell in love with, then we get to fall in love with their children’s stories. Every single book Jillian writes I say this is my favorite one yet… then the next one comes out and the cycle goes on! There isn’t anything Jillian could write that I wouldn’t fall in love with!

Cove wants to be a touring musician. She wants to prove herself. Now she has the chance. However, life on tour isn’t what she expected, and her suppressants are making her sicker every day. It doesn't help that she knows her bandmates, Ravi and Damian, aren't happy and are only there because of her. Still, she's glad to have them by her side. Hopefully, by the end of the tour, they will be more than friends.
This story was underwhelming when compared to the rest of the Ruined Records Universe that Jillian has created. Maybe my expectations were too high, since Not Many Options is a favorite of mine, but not much happened. It was well-written, though. The next generation wasn't as bright as the originals. Cove's character never developed as much as expected, so we never fully connected with her, and Ravi actually seemed downplayed. Damian's neurodivergent character was handled gently and well presented. The one character who exceeded my expectations was Declan. I enjoyed getting time with his character. The focus was mainly on Cove's health and unhappiness, and that weighed the story down. I would have liked more plot, especially for the touring side of the story, once Cove's health was sorted out.
It wasn't bad but it wasn't my favorite by this author.
I had the same issue with it as I did the original 4 books in the ruined records world but that I didn't have with the second series of books (ruined records Chicago.) I cannot really describe what the issue was that kept me from loving this book as I am not entirely sure what it is myself, but there is this notable disconnect in how I felt while reading the two series and I am saddened this book invoked the same feeling. I just couldn't love the book even though I wanted to.
The story was fine, the characters were fine, everything was just fine. That kind of makes it sound bad or average but I don't feel like I wasted my time reading. It is just that darn disconnect getting in the way. If you loved the other books in this world, then you'll probably love this one as well. The writing was what I've comed to expect from this author's works.
I normally hate second generation books. While I had a hard time matching character names with what I remember of them,100% a me issue and not the book's fault, I actually thought this book was one of the better second generation books I've read. The characters definitely felt like their own person and not replicas of their parents.
Not Many Options is one of my absolute favorite Omegaverse stories, and one of the reasons is because of Cove. Even as a small child, she was a great character, and she did not disappoint in Too Many Options. She had such a unique omega perspective and it was interesting to watch her pack develop in light of that.
Ravvi is the best! I couldn’t wait to read his and Cove’s story after meeting him for the first time as a child in prior books. He is such a unique alpha and he is amazing throughout this book. I loved Damian and Declan also. Each of these characters were so well done and together, this pack was perfection.
I did a reread of the Ruined Records series, along with Not Many Options prior to reading this. While I am glad that I did, you can definitely read this book without having read those books. They are all excellent and have some amazing characters, but there is enough information in this book that you don’t need to read them if you can’t or don’t want to.
I absolutely loved this book and really hope that the twins and Bellamy get their stories told in the future!
Cove is desperate to prove herself as an artist and has been taking suppressants for over a year past the recommended dosage period in an attempt to live out a dream she’s realizing isn’t what she thought it would be.
I wish Ravvi’s clairaudience was a bit more significant to the story, as it was a big part of his character in the Ruined Records duology and was something I was very interested in learning more about. Otherwise, I loved him and his certainty that Cove was meant to be his without being cocky or arrogant about it.
Declan is a classic grump with a stereotypical hate for Cove based on assumptions without trying to get to know her, but now that he’s her security guard while the band is on tour he has to open his eyes and get to know the person Cove really is.
Damien is such a sweetheart and I love him. He can do no wrong.
Overall, I am SO EXCITED that we’re getting books for the next gen of the Ruined Records packs and have been since it was originally teased in the Ruined Records epilogue(s). Fingers crossed that Bellamy’s book is coming eventually too!!
Thank you, Jillian, for giving me an ARC of this book!
I can't believe we finally get Cove's story! Cove, Ravvi, and Damien have all known they'll one day be a pack. Thanks to Ravvi who has known things others don't his whole life. When Cove wants to make it in the music industry they agree to be a part of her band. They don't have the same drive to be a part of the industry. To make their omega's dream come true they plan to tough it out. In Damien's case he's got music in his blood but everything that comes with it drives his anxiety up. Ravvi hopes this tour will be what finally convinces Cove they're meant to be. She's been pushing both him and Damien away.
Declan has been charged with keeping them all safe as part of security. For his part he sees Cove as a spoiled omega. Not caring much for her. That is until he starts spending more time with her.
This was a good read and it does stand on its own. That said I do think you should read The Ruined Records Duet and Not Many Options. You get to meet Ravvi and Cove as adorable kids and the rest of their families. Now I'm left wondering if some of the other characters will get their own books. A whole second generation series maybe?
Im so glad Cove got her story. i was sl curious about her and Ravi since her parents' story, and it did not disappoint the omegaverse books have been keeping me hooked.
The way Jillian writes these stories has me hooked on every chapter. Even when i was frustrated with Cove, she was very stubborn.
The beginning had me cracking up at Cove's twin brothers they are so protective over their older sister .
I love how ravi knew she was meant to be his i was so excited when I got read more on Damian and Declan I absolutely love them all I cant ever decide who I love most cause its too hard they give cove different things only they can give her in different ways.
I also loved the whole Rockstar elements in it. im not huge Rockstar Romance, but with the omegaverse, it had me wanting more. Cove is different from her mom, not in a bad way she just has different dreams and wants other Omegas to be able to go after their dreams .
My favorite thing about this with Damian was his sensory issues and not knowing how to understand certain emotions or cues etc and cove knew exactly what to do and not to do so, so he wasn't overwhelmed
I think itʼs important to go into too many options with the understanding this isnʼt a standalone. Itʼs listed in so many places that if you ignore it you get that you will be lost. I have read all of the other books but I only did a reread of Not Many Options and I had to refer back to the character guide more than once.
If you have never read the other books it might be easier to move on without caring who this personʼs mom or dad is. Idk I loved the ruined records books it had just been a while since I read them. Iʼm going to pop back over for another read of them after this.
Cove and Ravvi were featured at the end of not many options and you get to see Cove as a toddler running away from him. Thatʼs basically the theme for too many options. Ravvi is still in love with her and she still isnʼt sure she wants to get with him.
Damian and Declan were unique characters but their names tripped me up. They both start with D and end with N and multiple times I confused them. Still itʼs a heartwarming story and I am so happy Jillian brought us back to this world!
Iʼm going to try to keep this spoiler free but be warned there may be a few small things. Friends to lovers is usually one of my least favorite tropes. Itʼs just never done well. The guy is usually hooking up with anything that moves with the FMC stays a perfect pristine virgin. ****Cue puking noises****
Thatʼs not what goes down in too many options and the GUYS are the virgins. Two of them anyway. Declan is older and doesnʼt think he will be with Cove so that didnʼt bother me. It makes sense that at 35+ he would have had sex but Ravi and Damian waiting for Cove was chefs kiss!
Now our rock star wannabe FMC is not soft or sweet. In fact she doesnʼt want to be an omega at all! She wants a career and NO KIDS. I donʼt know when Jillian switched to writing less pregnancy but I am here for it!
I love seeing characters have a fulfilling life without needing to have kids. This has the potential to spin off other books for the side characters and Iʼm invested. Iʼm going to need everyone to read this one. K thanks!

Too Many Options is the latest book by Jillian West. It is the next generation based off her Ruined Records series. I read some of the books in the previous series but not all. You don’t need to read the other books before starting this one.
In this story Cove learns the difference between the future she thinks she wants and the reality of what that includes. She wants to be a rock star but she is not a fan of being on the road for long periods of time. She wants to blame Ravvi and Damien for not joining her first heat but she can’t seem to stay away from him. There is also the security guard, Declan, that she has had a crush on for a long time but he thinks she is too young for him. How will all these individuals adapt to reality instead of their dreams for the future? Is there any hope they could be a pack together?
This was another wonderful story by Ms. West. We follow this group through many ups and downs before finding their HEA. I am excited to see what comes next in this world.
