Love You Forever #5
My Accidental Forever
Girl meets boy.
Girl gets arrested.
Boy bails girl out of jail.
Boy and girl get married? Not exactly how all good fairytales start but hey, I'm not exactly a princess-more like a hot mess dancing on a table.
One thing I know for sure, true love's first kiss didn't take place in a police precinct followed by a scorching one-night stand. Foster Wilder was my knight in shining armor that night but we both know he can't be my happily ever after.
I'm determined to stay single, while his family is determined to marry him off to a billion-dollar heiress. But with rings on our fingers and 'I Do's' said, it looks like that plan is out the window. We were supposed to get divorced.
His parents weren't supposed to find out.
And I sure as hell wasn't supposed to fall in love and end up pregnant with his baby. I've gotten myself into a lot of situations but this one takes the cake...the wedding cake.

This was an enjoyable read. Harley is out one night with friends and she meets Foster. She ends up arrested and calls him to bail her out. They start spending lots of time together but he is supposed to marry someone else. I was glad that that whole mess ended a lot better than I thought. It just made this book so much more enjoyable.

The story was very mechanical. More description of daily actions than substance. The guy was annoying in that he didn't have a good reason to go along with his parents plans to marry the family friend. Grow up and make your own money. The friend had a slightly better motivation in that she wanted her parents money to fund her medical research. But for the first part of the book he kept saying her parents might stop paying for school. Um... Suck it up and figure it out like the rest of the PhD students. This doesn't sound like an insurmountable obstacle. It just made the guy look weak. Also, I didn't like how the girl was portrayed as a party girl but secretly wanted to get married just like the rest of her friends. I felt her inner monologue was inconsistent.

I think it is safe to say that Harley and Foster’s story is definitely one of my top favourites from Alexis Winter’s
Love You Forever
series.
Harley is definitely a fierce FMC, she is strong, independent, sassy, sweet, yet crazy, fun, wild, adventurous adrenaline junkie. I loved that she always knew what she wanted and would just go for it regardless of what people would think or say. Especially with being the only single girl in her group, she didn’t let that stop her or deter her from doing what she wanted. Safe to say she is definitely one of my favourite FMC from Alexis Winter’s books.
When Foster was introduced in Breaking Up With My Boss , I wasn’t sure what to expect from him or what I thought of him. Since not much was said about him. That is until now in My Accidental Forever .
I would say he is the opposite of Harley, sure he is up for adventures. But more so on the fun side as opposed to the wild side. He was more on the conservative side (in comparison to Harley) I would say, having his future all planned out for him. Including marrying his family friends daughter Bianca, so their family can merge their businesses and live the perfect life together.
However, sometimes life doesn’t always go to plan. And in Harley and Foster’s case that definitely rings to be true. Throw in a night of jail, occasional hookups, a crazy weekend in Vegas which ends in marriage and what could go wrong?!
Though complete opposites, Harley and Foster definitely made a cute couple. Just the way they were when they would come together was cute, sweet, hot and steamy. I loved that Harley would bring Foster out of his shell more, with all the crazy and fun adventures they would get up to. They were definitely a perfect match in my opinion, being what the other needed in life. And as they say opposites attract, which definitely rang true in their case.
This book was chaos, adventurous, funny, sweet, hot, steamy, romantic, crazy, wild etc all mixed together. There wasn’t really a dull moment with everything that was happening/going on with them both and their friends.
The only issue I had was with Foster and Bianca and how much of a wuss they both were. The fact that neither would talk to their parents about what they wanted in life. It was like your both grown ass adults, so suck it up and just get it over with by telling it to your parents straight already.
Overall, a good light, fluffy, cheesy, yet sweet, funny, romantic and steamy book that has a HEA. I would highly recommend, especially if you have already read any of the previous Love You Forever series!

My Accidental Forever is a dual POV story and the 5th book in the Love You Forever series by Alexis Winter- though the book can certainly be enjoyed as a stand alone and of course ends with a sweet HEA. In this book, we are introduced to Harley as she finds out that she is now the lone single person in her group of friends. Harley plays it off as she isn't interested in having a relationship and just wants to have fun without being tied down. While celebrating the engagement of her best friend Cora, Harley meets Foster and they have instant chemistry. Unwilling to leave her friends, Harley ends up taking Foster's card and moving on with her night- but after too many drinks, some table top dancing and an ill fated bribe attempt, she finds herself in jail and the only number she has is Foster's. Foster comes from a wealthy family, who has been planning his future, down to who he's supposed to marry, his entire life and he doesn't see any way out of it. After bailing Harley out of jail, she and Foster strike up a steamy non-relationship, all while building a friendship and falling for each other, even if they don't exactly want to admit to it. Foster's family begins to put more and more pressure on him to propose to his best friend, Bianca, who they want him to marry- which ultimately leads to hurt feelings and crazy decisions about the life he thought he was going to have to the life he ultimately wants.
I really wanted to love this book- I generally really enjoy all of Alexis' books but I struggled with this one. The overall premise and story line was ok and I could see what she was going for but so much of the book was Harley or Foster or both of them denying their feelings, or hiding them or just simply ignoring them because they never attempted to communicate how they felt about each other despite all the people around them flat out saying "you're in love, just tell them". Now I know that happens a lot in many romance books- but it just seemed to drag on in this book and I just wanted to smack one or both of them upside the head for being so dense. With that being said, there was A LOT of heat in this book- not that I minded that at all because Alexis can write some amazing steamy scenes so that kind of made up for my annoyance with the characters at times. But even with my annoyance, I was sucked into the story and couldn't put the book down until I finished it and I'm eager to find out who it getting the next HEA in the Love You Forever series.

Foster has been living his life a bit on cruise control. His parents have a direction his life is planned to go. He's supposed to marry a specific girl (Bianca), settle down and start a family and eventually take over the family company. The problem is neither Forster or the girl his parents chose want to get married, he wants to sow his oats and she wants to focus on her carrier. Both are unwilling to have that serious talk with their parents though, worried about the fall out.
Harley is a bit of a free spirit. All of her friends are growing up, getting engaged and even starting families but she wants none of that. Sure it would be nice to have someone but not the strings that come with attachment. At the bar Foster sees a bit of her wild side and gives Harley his number thinking she looks like fun, imagine his delight when she calls him just a few hours later needing to be bailed out of jail. This pretty much sets the tone for their non-relationship relationship. She throws him outside his comfort zone more than once (two words: Adventure Park!) and even though she's opposite the women he normally goes after he just can't get enough of her. When they wind up married after a weekend in Vegas it turns out harder to dissolve then they expect. Not only that both start realizing that maybe this whole thing is more than they're willing to admit.
I really enjoyed the dynamic and full on personality of Harley. She really brings out the fun side of life and makes you realize that sometimes you have to take chances and actually live for yourself instead of trying to be what someone else wants. Foster shows us that even when it looks like we have everything under control we still need a good push to set us on the right path. Walking the easiest path is not always the best choice.

Accidental Forever – Alexis Winter
I loved the beginning of the book because I love when characters are written to be dynamic in their truth The fact that Harley presents from the very beginning that while she is so happy for her best friend's engagement, she also feels a bit jealous and a bit left out. Her personality is great and her ability to just be who she is with her friends, with strangers – the main male character, Foster - at the bar, with the bouncer and policeman outside the bar….just great. She appears unapologetic about the way she feels and the choices she’s made in life. Her single status presents a dichotomy of being the way she wants to be, but maybe she doesn’t want to be that person. The author starts the story out as something relatable and within a few chapters created the most fun energy between two characters! The fact that the characters were 100% honest with each other at the very beginning was also provable in the making of this “type” of relationship they started.
At first glance, this story seemed too short to have so much weight to it as it relates to all the characters, but it isn't. Their thoughts, feelings and personalities were described and written so well. It made you feel like you could either totally relate to them or at least understand what they were going through. Foster riding out to the ocean to think and to consider his life choices, and the honesty by everyone when they discuss their lives and feelings. Just great writing.
I just really loved this story and it was such a pleasure to be able to read it. And Foster’s phone greeting, whenever Harley called him, with “There’s my girl.” Stop…I refuse to admit that I’m in love with a guy that’s a character from a book!!

Footloose & Fancy-free
Harley says it best -- "What's more important: being rich and powerful or living the life you want by being happy and free?" Harley & Foster, when they come alive, they're like explosive fireworks. Combustion at its best! Harley's determined to remain single & doesn't get why her friends feel marriage is the best by settling down with one man. She's adventurous, gorgeous & has a heart of gold towards loving animals & being there for others. Foster, is drawn to Harley & can't believe his luck when she isn't looking for a long-term relationship & just wants to do anything that gets the adrenaline skyrocketing. Their attraction is immediate & trying to keep it casual with no strings attached, is proving more & more impossible. They are lost in their own world where nothing else matters except their connection & growing love. Foster is in quite a pickle when he's having to choose the chosen bride his parents have for him or stand up to his parents & choose Harley. Harley makes him come alive, forgetting about everything that should matter. He finally stands up to his dad, everything has worked out & the path is cleared for their HEA.
I have read a few of Alexis Winter's novels & this is the best story I've ever read of hers! It covers everything I love while reading romance novels. A book that will leave you happily content & a smile on your face when you reach the last page. I would definitely recommend this novel for reading.

Review Scheduled to go live on blog on July 28th @ Naomi’s Reading Palace
3.5 Stars
After reading another of Alexis Winter's books, I decided I had to try more of her work, so I went back to pick up My Accidental Forever. Foster and Harley's book was quite amusing as I watched two people who weren’t into commitment, fall madly in love!
Harley and Foster’s first few encounters were so funny! I could see that they had a connection, but Harley was focused on being a good friend. When Foster had to bail Harley out of jail, I was laughing, seeing her so humiliated! Ever the gentleman, Foster was willing to look after her until she was able to go home.
These two had amazing chemistry, and I could see them falling in love. Their quick Vegas trip was what I expected, and they didn’t freak out as much as I thought they would. Foster had family issues to overcome, as they had put a lot of pressure on him and his friend Bianca. He had to figure that out and to re-evaluate his future before he could decide whether Harley was the one.
The thing that annoyed me was all the inner dialogue as both Harley and Foster were trying to understand their feelings. It felt like we were going over the same issues and they wouldn’t speak about it. Overall, it was quite a sweet read and I think I’d like to read more books in this series!

4.5 Stars! My favourite so far from the Love You Forever series!
Who doesn't love a good accidental/fake marriage story!
Harley - she has such a big heart (especially for her rescue animals!), but thinks marriage and kids just isn't on the cards for her. When she gets the hunky Foster's number on a girls night out, she never expected to be calling it so soon, to get her bailed out of jail that same night! As one night leads to more, their attraction for one another grows. So what could possibly go wrong when they decide to spend a weekend in Vegas...?
Foster - heir to his rich father's company, he's stuck in a future arranged marriage agreement with a family friend's daughter (Bianca - who needs her own story ASAP!). When he meets Harley in the bar, he's shocked at the instant connection he feels. And even more shocked when he gets her call from jail! As they start to spend more and more time together, will he ever pluck up the courage to say no to his father's request?
After a drunken Vegas trip ends up with marriage, can they get a divorce before Foster's parents find out? And do they even want to? And what will Bianca (his supposed fiancé to be) think of it all?
Such a fun, easy (and obviously steamy) read. I only knocked off half a star because I wish the conflict wasn't resolved quite so easily, although swoon for Foster's resolution!

This book is amazing! A great story, Harley and Foster meet in a bar. She's there with her friends to celebrate her best friend Cora's engagement. He gives her his card and tells her to call him since she doesn't want to leave her friends. That will happen later when she gets arrested for her misbehavior in a very funny story. This will start off a romance neither thinks they want as she thinks she doesn't want to get married and he is promised to another. The more time they spend together the closer they get and when the pressure from his parents gets too much, he rushes off to Vegas with Harley and the two end up drunk and married. They return home and try to get out of it but that proves to be harder than they expected. She will also meet the woman he is supposed to marry, Bianca, and learns the truth about their relationship. A friendship with Bianca will bring Harley to a family dinner where she is sure Foster will propose to Bianca. But Foster has other plans and in the end, he will get Harley, keep his place in his father's company and in the end, get his happily ever after that he never thought he would get.

Harley and Foster's story is a fabulous read. A chance meeting in a bar on a girls' night out sees permanent singleton crossing paths with Foster, a man destined to marry a woman of his parents; choosing. What follows is not a typical girl meets boy story, but is so much more.
Harley and Foster start to fall for each other after initially deciding on a no strings, not a relationship kind of relationship, their version of friends with benefits. Foster's parents and those of his intended start pushing for them to take their "relationship" to the next level. How do you get out of an arranged marriage? Harley and Foster's solution is more than a little bit drastic and leads to a boat load of fallout. Will they manage to work through their feelings and stay together or will fate and family tear them apart?
Another glorious read from Alexis Winter, the fifth book in a very entertaining series. I love how the protagonists in her stories share such incredible chemistry and their road is never without a bump or two in the road. All I can say is I'm going to be devastated when this series comes to an end.
I received this book as an ARC from the author in return for posting an honest review.

Romancing part ends early in book - minor spoilers
I liked Harley and Foster getting together. They were fun together but by mid book, that phase was over. The rest of the book was them deciding if they loved the other, Foster figuring out what to do with his family expectations, and time spent apart with other people including his betrothed - but Harley spends as much time with his betrothed as he does. They actually become good friends, which is a plus.
The line in the blurb about his parents weren't supposed to find out...well, they didn't until he tells them. The part about her getting pregnant is misleading, too. I hate it when blurbs are as misleading as this one.
The only books I have read recently by this author are in this series and I skipped ones that seemed less interesting. All of these books have a lot of story left after the couple decides to stay together. While I frequently want romance stories to have one more chapter with the couple together after they're engaged, or whatever, but these books have too much after. I skipped the 3rd one and I don't think I'll read the last 2. This was my least favorite of the 4 I did read.

Wow what a read. Harley is a bit on the wild and adventurous side. She is always up for an adventure and is no where near ready to settle down even though all her friends are. She wants to be the carefree spirit that only wants to have fun. She works at a non profit animal shelter and she loves everything about her job except the little pay. Foster is a man who is up for adventure but not anything crazy. He works at his fathers company but hopes to one day be the CEO and make all the calls. He’s is promised to Bianca who is a friend of the family, so that they can merge their businesses together and plan a great life together. But life has a way of throwing a wrench in plans and make unexpected things happen. So in order to find out how this adventure ends, you will have to read and find out. It is an adrenaline rush that’s for sure, and has so many twists and turns it will make your head spin. So buckle up and enjoy the ride!!!!!

Good romance a little backwards
Good romance, in which I really liked the female character of Harley, but on the other hand the lack of courage of Harley and Foster in the face of the situation in which they are evolving annoyed me, so much they push back what seems obvious to everyone around them who is aware of their relationship.
The narrative is very well written, hot, but a bit predictable.
Harley is jealous of her friends disappearing one after another into the bliss of the couple while she remains single, but at the same time, she doesn't want any ties. She has a bit of a crazy side to her, but when she meets Foster, that's what pleases him.
The characters seem poles apart between the established boss and the employee of an animal shelter in a nonprofit (even for her), and yet something goes by between them and they conclude a somewhat peculiar agreement which, in my opinion, shows their lack of courage and which locks them into an increasingly complex situation.

This was a beautiful romantic read by Alexis Winter. Ms Winter is truly the queen of romcoms. I loved reading Harley and Foster’s story. They meet one night whilst Harley is celebrating her best friend’s engagement and everything from there is a wild ride for them both. Harley is an energetic, wild child whilst Foster is a rich CEO in the making who has his life planned out for him by his parents. Foster does not want to marry whom his parents have chosen for him and in a way he rebels and ends up married to Harley. As the days and weeks pass both Harley and Foster discover that they have developed feelings for each other and have, in fact, fallen in love. Now the true craziness begins. This series has to be one of my favourites from Ms Winter and this book is another great story. This book is very well written with a story that will captivate you from the very beginning. Loved this so much.

Harley’s best friend Cora has just announced that she is engaged and whilst Harley doesn’t long to be married. There is a part of her feeling as though she is losing her friend to a different friendship circle. Whilst out celebrating her engagement, Harley meets Foster, however, turns down his offer to head back to his to stay and support her friend but gets his number. Getting wasted, dancing on a table, thrown out of the bar and flashing a cop lands her in jail. With only Foster’s number to hand she reaches out to him for help.
When Foster met Harley in the bar he never imagined that the next time they would meet would be bailing her out of jail. With no phone, purse or keys she spends the night at his place in the guest room. Hooking up the following morning, they embark on a non-relationship. With Foster’s family intending fro him to marry a family friend Bianca, who is more like a sister than a perspective wife. As Foster and Harley spend time together they have more and more fun.
A trip to Las Vegas has them enjoying everything it has to offer including solving his intended marriage problem by getting married to Harley first. Suddenly realising what an impact this could have on both his and Bianca’s lives they attempt to get an annulment. With more pressure from their families to get engaged and married, Harley is left wondering when her non-relationship with Foster will come to an end.

Foster and Bianca have been expected to get married basically since they were born. Neither of them wants to marry the other one. Foster is allowed to sow his wild oats while Bianca works on finishing her education. When he meets Harley, what starts out as fun and games soon becomes so much more. Th. Foster and Harley will have to decide what it is they truly want and what they are willing to risk to have it. I liked the characters in the book. Foster and Harley were all about having fun but along the way feelings crept up on them. They could deny it all they wanted but eventually they had to acknowledge what everyone else around them already knew. Bianca was driven to succeed in her career. She was a great friend to Foster and her interactions with Harley were fantastic. Cora and Harley were the best of friends and I'm hoping Cora and Bianca with both get a book in the future. The story drew me in slowly but then managed to hold my attention until the end.

What do you say about two people that never want to be married. Harley is too much of a party girl to get married happily with her life how it is. Foster's parents have set up an arranged marriage for Foster. These two meet in a bar one night and hit it off. Foster gives his number to Harley not expecting to really hear from her. But she calls that same night to bail her out of jail that is unexpected for sure. They both want a fling since it is all they both are in need of since they both have other things going on. They go to Vegas for a weekend but get so drunk they get married. When they return home they decide they want to stay married. Harley finds out that Foster isn't in love with the women his parents want him to marry. Are Foster's parents going to force these two to get a divorce or will they accept this marriage and let Foster still take over the business?

Harley is out celebrating her friends engagement when she meets Foster, but being a good friend she won't leave them to go with him. He leaves her with his business card and they both go their separate ways.
Later Harley gets drunk enough to dance on tables and gets thrown out of the bar, trying to get back in she ends up nearly flashing a police officer and gets arrested.
Having left her phone at the bar, the only person she's able to ring is Foster as she still has his card.
This is were their story starts, they accidentally get married while drunk in Vegas, but can they both admit that they are falling in love with each other before Foster has to follow through with his families wishes?
Really enjoyed this story and would recommend reading it.

I have enjoyed each of the books in this series but with this one, I think Alexis has written the best one yet - well for me it was anyway. I just loved Harley and Foster.
They met in a bar when Harley was with her friends, but he left after giving her his card. Later she's arrested and as she has no phone with her the only number she can think to call is Foster’s which is on the card he gave her. Thankfully he comes to her aid and so starts their relationship.
I loved the connection formed between them, they have a great understanding of what makes the other tick. Their feelings develop into more than either of them expect and their story has so many fun moments. I loved both the characters Harley is fun but she's also caring whilst Foster had my attention from the start, I fell a little in love with him.

My Accidental Forever. This book was great! I enjoyed reading this book. The characters were good and believable. Harley is a woman knowing what she wants her life to look like. She really thought she would be single for a long time, but when she met Foster, life became different. Foster is rich and privileged. His family has practically set up his life to the tee. They have decided who he will marry, where and how he works in the company, but it's not what Foster wants. Because Foster and Harley are both free spirited people, they get together and have fun with life until his family demands for him to make serious decisions. Do these decisions include Harley? This was hilarious and a fun read! I absolutely love how she didn’t portray Foster as the stereotype jerk rich guy. Instead of being disgusted by Harley’s crazy and free spirit, he appreciates it and encourages it. I love how she opens him up and pushes him. They really were a perfect couple and super entertaining. One thing I love about Alexis’ books is she portrays her characters realistically instead of stereotyped to fit a plot. Sometimes they don’t react like you expect from a romance novel or do something that irks you but you can’t be annoyed because it’s a realistic human reaction. For example Foster slightly annoyed me in Vegas but I imagine that’s exactly how a guy would act in Vegas so I can’t be too annoyed.
Over all this is a great, funny, entertaining read!

Foster and Harley are total opposites. He’s the corporate guy while she works for a non profit shelter. A chance meeting at a bar while she’s their celebrating her friend Cora’s engagement. They are hot and heavy for each other, a little drunk but that doesn’t stop them from feeling each other up. When Foster suggest they leave together she tells him another time because she’s with her girls. From there this book takes off with a bang. You get a lot of drinking, a table dance, an arrest, fun times, a Vegas trip, understanding of the hoops Foster is put thru. You get to meet Bianca and see where she fits in here. You get to see Foster fall in love as well as Harley, a little jealousy but overall the love that blossoms between Foster and Harley and the family.

This story was absolutely beautiful from the moment it started I fell in love with both Foster and Harley. Although she is a girl after my own heart.
She is fun and loving life she thinks she knows what path her life will take but meeting Foster at the bar when she is celebrating her friends engagement turns eveything she thought she knew into a pile of rubbish.
I live the little twists and turns and mistakes they have to overtake and the learning about themselves. It was a magical journey of true love and I am sad its over. Every book I read in this series just makes me even more excited for the next.
Fabulous.

Harley meets Foster while she is on a drunken night out celebrating her friend's engagement. Harley gets herself arrested and the only number she has is Foster's on his business card. After he has bailed her out he has to take her home with him until she can get her things from her friend the next day. They start a fling together despite the fact that Foster is supposed to marry Bianca (an arranged marriage by his and Bianca's parents). As he spends more time with Harley and develops feelings for her, Foster realises that he should try and get out of marrying Bianca. Some funny and endearing moments as well as some hot chemistry between Harley and Foster make this a really good read. Read an ARC for an honest review.

Where to begin!! I love this series and Alexis wrote another great book. I waited to read it because I knew it would go fast and it did.
Harley and Foster meet one night at a bar but Harley is there for her friends so she stays while he leaves. She ends up arrested and since she doesn’t have her phone and only Foster’s card she calls him. This is the start of a great relationship. There is steamy as always but there is also a deep understanding between the two, a great build to a relationship where real feelings develop and there are a lot of fun moments. Harley is just a fun and caring character; as for Foster he is likable from the start and you can’t help but love him too.

Another great addition to the series. Harley is a free spirit, independent and happy-go-lucky, living in the moment, and for the most part that was working for her, or at least she thought it was. Foster needed to grow up. At 32, he seemed to just be drifting along “sowing his wild oats” and didn’t seem aggressive enough to be a CEO, letting his life be dictated by his parents, even if Harley hadn’t been in the picture. However, I did enjoy Harley and Foster together and there was certainly enough angst in the “will they recognize and express their feelings in time or not?” to keep me reading as fast as I could. Hot and emotional.

This book brings us Harley and Foster. Two people completely different, but totally made for each other. They meet in a bar and Foster gives Harley his business card in hopes that she will call him. There is just something about her that intrigues him. However, he doesn't expect to get a call from her so soon asking for his help. The more time they spend together, the more they realize they have a real connection. However, Foster is from a wealthy family and they want to see him married to someone else, BIanca. Bianca has no more interest in marrying him than Foster does of marrying her. This is a fantastic read and I highly recommend it. Remember, what happens in Vegas, sometimes doesn't stay in Vegas!

I loved reading My Accidental Forever by Alexis Winter because it was such a fantastic story about Harley and Foster. Both of them don't want to get married for different reasons. Harley is all about having fun and taking risks. Foster is "involved" with a family friend when he meets Harley. They are so great together, but Foster is on a time limit due to his family. This was such a fun story to read. I hoped that Harley and Foster would come to their senses about each other. I would highly recommend reading this story. It was funny and steamy and romantic and had me on the edge of my seat for a bit there. Great story!!
