Unsure of who to trust, Jennifer turns to Linda, the best friend of her deceased mother. Hiding out in rural Tennessee, she hopes that by laying low the people who kidnapped her six years ago will never find her. She trusts Linda so when she invites FBI agent Josh Barnes to help her with the remodeling of her house, she agrees to let him stay with her.
Josh is on leave from the FBI after being shot. He needs the time away from the city, the life and the dangers that come from being an agent. Little does he know that he may be walking into danger.
I really enjoyed this book, but I wish there had been more story and resolution regarding the Jennifer's kidnapping.

Here is a BDSM newbie story wrapped up in an FBI alpha male / escaped kidnap victim encounter. Jennifer has spent 6 years as the prisoner of evil researchers trying to tap her powers, and has finally found freedom. She is trying to stay hidden, so a family friend calls in a favour with Josh, on sick leave from the FBI. When they first meet, it is not chemistry that causes a problem, but sparks of electrical current. Before they know it these tingles become normality!
I did enjoy this story, although it races through some plot lines faster than was necessary.

This is a nice addition to the Crime & punishment series. As usual with a Trista Michael's book, the sexual scene are extremely erotic. While this isn't my favorite, I did enjoy it. I would just liked to see a bit more suspense. This one more about a dom/submisive relationship. Anyone who enjoys a book with strong BDSM elements will love Burning Submission. Happy reading!

4.5 - I think this was my most favorite of the crime & punishment series. And the ending was very cutely done, with the HEA not being very cliché.
