This is such a sweet little book. Quotes about nature and trees and leaves. I love the way the words are a colorful gradient, and it's all very natural colors.

The art is interesting. It's a mix of this sort of classic, country kitsch and this more interesting and ... moving images. It's not exactly my vibes but it's approaching my vibes if that makes sense. I'm not sure when you would read this, or who the audience is. It's kind of like a coffee table book in that it's not really for reading cover-to-cover, but it's also kinda tricky to just pick up and read just because of the, I don't know, format of the pages. Interesting book.

ik snap dat dit quotes uit verschillende (puur en alleen engelse) literaire werken moeten zijn over bomen en hun stadia. het concept klinkt dan ook fantastisch, de levensloop van zaadje tot zaadling tot bastmakker tot vruchtdragend tot bladverliezend. toch komt dit gewoonweg nie echt aan, de teksten voelen uit het niets geplukt en hun samenhang is me niet duidelijk.

los daarvan, wat een enorm! enorm! enorm mooie illustraties hierbij! chapeau! lief, aandoenlijk, verduidelijkend, slim en vooral dus ook mooi!
