Breezy Malone has left her cautious archaeologist's life behind, only to be poured into a leather corset and demand that bad guys ask—no, beg—for mercy in her new gig as a covert agent for the FBI. A covert sex agent, to be exact.
Not that she's given much choice. The FBI is dangling the ultimate carrot—if she can use her seduction skills to trace an ancient, stolen artifact, it'll lead her to Sharif, the terrorist who framed her for a murder that landed her in a Middle East prison. Now she's prepared to break any rule to make sure Sharif pays.
But a mysterious and alluring agent called One-Eyed Jack is on her tail, and Breezy's not sure if he's friend, foe or something even more dangerous…a sensual distraction aimed at throwing her off her guard. She'll show him who's in control….
What happens when an archaeologist is seduced and then betrayed by a handsome man while in the Near East, and is sent to a Syrian prison? And she escapes with the help of a government agency and recruited to be a special agent? And this is a VERY special agent. Breezy Malone is a sex agent, getting information from suspects through her insatiable appetites... and government-issued breast implants. A dominatrix, she is pulled into a confusing mix of intersecting plots, schemes and bad guys, unsure who she can trust. And most of all, she wants to take down Sharif, the man who betrayed her.
An erotic tale, to be sure, and an intersting plot.
I can't criticize it, not really. You know how certain movies with certain amounts of x's in it can't possibly be relied upon to be genuinely fine works of cinema? Well. A Spice book is exactly the same way - which is what that was.
The plot wasn't realistic. The emotions of the characters were laughably overshadowed by their libidos. But even though those things are true, there was enough cleverness to amuse me and enough naked thighs, to be delicate, to arouse feelings a bit saltier than mere amusement.
It wasn't a waste of time, but neither is it a book I'll pass on to anyone I know...
It was definitely interesting...a Modesty Blaise for the 21st century. And it certainly tweaked at the "communication" issues within US government agencies.
Definitely would recommend reading of Breezy Malone's adventures and interactions with One-Eyed Jack. Her transition from archaeologist to sex spy is worth it.
