They warn you not to make a deal with the devil, but I clearly wasn’t listening. It’s just one date. One fake date. On Valentine’s Day. How difficult could being Satan’s Valentine really be?

Damian Edgerton has it all. His penthouse apartment in the city, his thriving business, the authority, respect, and fear of the people he works with and who works for him. But when a potential client assumes Damian is in a relationship and invites him and his girlfriend to a Valentine’s Day dinner to close the deal, Damian doesn’t correct him. Now he needs a date, and fast.

Brielle Collins has no interest in making friends at her new job. She’s been down that road before and all it did was cause drama and damage her reputation. But she does need that extra vacation day to fly home for the weekend, and this could be exactly the leverage she needs. And really, what harm could one dinner cause? Satan's Valentine is a rom-com, fake dating, boss/employee, spicy, forbidden romance

I loved this story! It was such a perfect fake dating romance for Valentine's day! Brielle has just started working at CreativeEdge as an accountant, and is immediately warned about "Satan" the CEO, and is told to basically avoid him at all costs. "Satan" otherwise named Damian, the CEO, is completely aware that his employees have given him that nickname, and has no plans to change their minds about him. In an important meeting with a potential client, Damian gave the impression that he was dating someone, and was immediately invited to a double Valentine's day date with Pam and Leon Vitale....except Damian is single. But, as luck would have it, Brielle is still working that evening, and he asks if she can be his fake date. Needing to really play the part, they start hanging out together to get to know each other....will they survive this fake date unscathed?

I love Brielle's character so much! She is such a go-getter, and not afraid to speak her mind, especially to Damian, and that is not something he is used to from employees. I found it just hilarious that Brielle manages to agree to a weekend trip away with the Vitale's, extending her and Damian's fake dating. Brielle also ropes Damian into being her plus one to her grandparents anniversary party. After the weekend away with the Vitale's, Damian and Brielle are just barely keeping their hands off each other. The weekend with Brielle's family, blows the lid right off their restraint.

And Damian, he is such a grumpy character, with plans to never get attached to a woman. But then Brielle comes into his life, as his fake girlfriend, and all the time they spend together, has him thinking that maybe he does want a relationship. They go through some serious ups and downs, having to navigate the forbidden aspect of boss/employee, and Brielle makes an extreme decision to protect Damian, but that only cements Damian's feelings for her.

I definitely recommend this super fun and spicy rom-com, who wouldn't want to fake date their boss, Satan, for Valentine's day?

Some fav quotes:
"They warn you not to make a deal with the devil, but clearly I wasn't listening. It's just one date. One fake date. On Valentine's Day. How difficult could being Satan's Valentine really be?"

""He's basically the devil in disguise." Great. Leave one job where my colleagues are pure evil, only to end up at another job where the boss is."

"Satan's Valentine. Fan-freaking-tastic."

"But the woman standing before me...she's the kind of stop-your-heart beauty that I've rarely ever seen. The kind that, if I saw her across a crowded room, I would make my way over to her with every intention of taking her home."

"He looks like sin sitting behind his desk, his suit jacket open, the white dress shirt stretched across his chest as he leans back in his chair."

"I have no idea how it happens, but suddenly, my mouth is on hers-or hers is on mine. Did I kiss her, or did she kiss me?"

""You smell like good times and bad decisions," she says..."Oh yeah? How good of a time?" I tease. "The real question is, how bad of a decision?" she volleys..."

"The lines between us haven't been blurred; they have been completely set on fire."\

"Best sex of my life, by far. No contest. The way he played my body, submitting to his commands. I loved every single second of it. But also...What the f*** did I just do? Because he's still my boss."

"I'm falling for Brielle. Headfirst. No parachute. No safety net. She consumes my every thought."

"...when shit hit the fan and she felt like she needed to make a choice, she chose me. That knowledge squeezes at my chest."

Thank you so much to Grey's Promotions and the author for a copy of this book!

I received this as an arc and it was the perfect spicy office romance that I needed right now! Damien is the ultimate grumpy boss while Brielle is an absolute ray of sunshine. ☀️ Add in some fake dating, lots of scowling, and the right amount of smut and I’m happy!

Brielle starts a new accounting job after rumours at her old company damaged her reputation. The last thing she needs is more trouble—especially in the form of her boss, Damian, nicknamed “Satan” by his employees.

When Damian asks her to be his date for a business dinner, Brielle agrees, convincing herself it’s harmless. He says he’s not interested in love, making him the safe option… until feelings get involved. Can they keep business and pleasure separate, or will the risk cost Brielle everything?

I loved this book! The concept was so different, but could happen in real life, and it instantly pulled me in. The characters felt real and easy to connect with, and the story had everything I look for — humour, a strong plot, plenty of tension, and yes… lots of spice 🔥

Brielle and Damian’s relationship was a highlight for me. I really enjoyed watching her discover a different side to him than the one he shows at work. Their dynamic kept me hooked from start to finish. Absolutely loved it!

This book was great! I don't know why I was expecting literal Satan but it worked out. Fake Dating to real dating is *chefs kiss*. Brielle is relatable on so many levels, I adore her! And, like he did with Bri, Damian grew on me lol. I love that the Vitale's stayed as important parts of their lives too. It's all tied up in a neat little bow 🎀💗

rcvd an ARC from the author for giving my review voluntarily.

We meet Damian, CEO and all around Satan to his staff at his advertising company. he ia trying to land a large deal but when it goes south he takes it out on his incompetent staff. we meet newest accountant Brielle, who had heard all about Satan and decides to do a report on the outdoor companies in thr area. Damian is stunned by the new hire...she did more work on a report than the staff who work in the dept. he gets another chance at the client who tells him to bring his gf to dinner...except.he doesn't have one. insert Brielle..he asks her to be his date for the mtg in lieu of a day off of her choosing. what's thr worst thing that can happen? Fake dating, rumors, and outdoor fun make this a cute story.

Falling for Satan wasn’t in the job description 📝

4.5 ⭐️ | 3.25 🌶️

Some deals with the devil are worth the risk… especially when he’s wearing an expensive suit and scowling like he owns the world.

I went into Satan’s Valentine already trusting Isla Stelmark’s writing (I’ve read the last two books in the Wilder series), but this one surprised me in the best way. It steps away from romantic suspense and leans fully into a character-driven, slow-burn workplace romance and it absolutely works.

Brielle Collins is our FMC: an accountant, new at CreativEdge in Boston, allergic to workplace friendships, and refreshingly mature. She’s smart, grounded, and quietly powerful in the way she carries herself. No unnecessary drama. No shrinking to make others comfortable. Just competence, backbone, and self-respect.

Then there’s Damian Edgerton. CEO. Founder. Office legend. Professionally feared. Emotionally barricaded. Nicknamed “Satan” by his employees for a reason. He’s grumpy, closed off, and married to his work after watching relationships destroy his father. Love, to him, is a liability.

Enter: one fake Valentine’s Day date.

What follows is a deliciously tense, slow-burn collision of two people who absolutely should not work… and somehow fit together perfectly.

The dynamic between Brielle and Damian is the heart of this book. Their banter, their boundaries, the gradual softening of his sharp edges, the way he learns to see her; it’s subtle, earned, and deeply satisfying. Damian’s character growth is especially well done; watching a man who prides himself on control slowly lose it (in the best way) is chef’s kiss.

And when the sparks start sparking?

Yeah. It’s not a candle. It’s a full-blown firework show.

The romance is tender and intense, restrained but charged, with enough heat to leave you fanning yourself without overpowering the emotional arc. A true slow burn with payoff. The kind that lingers after the last page.

Thank you to Grey’s Promotions for the e-ARC, and huge congratulations to Isla Stelmark on the upcoming release (February 3rd). If you love grumpy CEOs, fake dating, workplace tension, and emotionally guarded men brought to their knees by strong women: this one belongs on your Valentine’s TBR. Consider this your sign to make the deal. 😈❤️

this book was perfect in preparation for Valentine’s Day! It’s a very classic romance novel featuring a grumpy boss and his new and excited employee. This book exceeded my expectations by miles, it sounds like my kind of book but I wasn’t expecting it to grab me by the throat and keep me hooked on it to the point that I was ignoring all my responsibilities. I love a good fake dating plot, he needs a date because his new client is a family oriented person and he wants to make a good impression, only he brings his new employee out of desperation and shoot! They absolutely adore her… and he does too. This book is a she falls first he falls harder, because he starts to soften around her at first but then after their “arrangement” is over the man start going through intense withdrawals. Like the man is so damn whipped it’s adorable. But both of them do have a little bit of trauma which added angst to this funny romcom style plot. His dad (who he absolutely worships) is against him dating anyone ever since his wife broke up with him and stole his money. While she, is worried about getting hate because she was close with her previous boss. But they can’t deny that kind of chemistry for long. This book has my favourite kind of grumpy sunshine dynamic where he smiles more when she’s around and he lets go of his ten feet tall walls. But he’s also so damn possessive and jealous it adorable! He has some major touch her and die vibes too. I also adored Brielle, she’s such a fun character and truly so sweet! This book was fun, spicy and had me swooning from start to finish. I give this a 5/5

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

I’ve got to be honest, it took me some time to get into this book. I was really busy, and the book didn’t fully grasp me from the beginning. But it got better with each chapter, and I especially enjoyed the ending.

I immediately loved Brielle. Standing up for herself, speaking her mind, and accepting no shit from anybody. My type of girl! (but: she didn’t accept any shit at all, but she stayed seated in the car every freaking time so he could open her door, which felt so contradictory).

And Satan, or should I say Damian… Ugh, a very, very grumpy man, until he met Brielle. I really liked that he was a very wealthy CEO, but his money wasn’t a focus. He was so sweet to Brielle in private and also a little possessive, hihi.

The story itself was so fun, but also a little familiar. A CEO needs a fake girlfriend, so he asks the new employee, and eventually they fall in love. BUT, the main reason this book wasn’t a flop for me: after they kissed and said, ‘as soon as we’re back at work, this didn’t happen,’ they truly acted like it (for a while).

Thank you, Isla Stelmark, for this ARC. I really liked it!

ARC Review ✨️

♡The best romance♡

I read this just in time for Valentine's Day and it was so perfect! This was a new to me author, and I loved the writing so much! I'll definitely be reading more of their books in the future!

Damian's life is on the up and ups. The only area lacking is relationship wise but he's not ready to settledown. When a potential client mistakenly thinks Damien has a girlfriend and invites them to dinner to seal the deal, Damien doesn't correct him so he can achieve the deal.

Brielle is at her new job and has no interest of building friendships with anyone. She's been there, done that, and it hasn't worked out. When Damien, her new boss, tells her to come to Valentine's Day dinner, her first reaction is no. However she decides she could use the extra vacation time.

Ahhh I ran through the pages! The writing was so easy to get lost in! The characters were adorable and I loved the fake dating aspect!

Tropes:
💕Valentine's Day Romance
💕Fake dating
💕Boss x Employee

Thanks so much to the author and Grey's promotions for the early review copy!

Thank you to Isla Stelmark and Grey’s Promotions for the opportunity to read an eARC of Satan’s Valentine.

The chemistry and banter between Brielle and Damian had me completely hooked. Stelmark continues to create characters who feel so real and relatable. It’s easy to connect with them and get fully invested in their story.

The slow burn in this book was really well paced. With this trope, sometimes the wait can feel too long and the ending can feel underwhelming, but here there was enough spice to make the build-up feel completely satisfying.

One thing that stood out to me is that Leon and Pam felt a little absent in the middle of the story. They played such a big role early on, and then weren’t mentioned again until the final few chapters. I would have loved to see them more involved as Brielle and Damian faced the challenges that arose in the office, especially given how close they all became by the end.

Overall, Satan’s Valentine was such a fun holiday read!

Isla Stelmark you have done it again!
Satan’s Valentine is a standalone novel with spice, angst, and swoon!

Damian Edgerton is ruthless and feared among employees for his high standards at his marketing firm…but is that really the true picture of Satan?

Brielle Collin’s may be an accountant at a marketing firm, but are numbers truly her calling?

When Damian and Brielle strike up a deal for a business dinner with a potential client, both assume it’s a one time thing, each helping the other with a common goal. However, one business date/meeting turns into so much more…

Brielle is bound and determined to not be the employee who gets to where she is because she’s involved with the boss. And Damian is so jaded by love that he doesn’t do relationships.

This colleague’s turned friends to benefits to lovers will have you squealing with delight. Brielle truly sees Damian for who he is. And Damian sees worth in all Brielle has to offer not only his company but also himself.

This is the perfect read in time for Valentine’s Day. With tropes of workplace romance, boss/employee, fake dating, friends to lovers you will be entranced with these two!

Isla Stelmark’s Satan’s Valentine is a beautifully written, fake Dating contemporary romance that include some of my favorite tropes and I have to say that book was sweet and simple and didn’t disappoint, mainly because I went in not expecting big turn-out or plot, instead I wanted to read a simple book, that blends funny banter, slow-burn attraction, and amazing character development into a perfect read.

Instead of being just a simple romance, it includes romantic tension between characters with lots of Spicy scene and swoon worthy moments. Both Damien and Brie, has unique character, sense of humor and witty personality, which I enjoyed reading very much. Brielle has such strong personality that I was rooting for her so much and Satan, which here means here Boss of course Damien THE CEO, who is grumpy but sweet person. Workplace romance is a trope I enjoy because I love chaotic scenes and situations it creates.

What could possibly go wrong when your intimidating, devilishly charming boss asks you to be his fake girlfriend for a work dinner—on Valentine’s Day, no less? Everything.

When Damian ropes Brielle into pretending to be his girlfriend to secure a major deal, what starts as an awkward obligation quickly turns into something far more complicated. A spontaneous weekend getaway shifts the dynamic entirely, blurring lines neither of them expected to cross. The chemistry is undeniable, the tension is delicious, and the stakes only get higher once they return to the real world and have to face the reality of an employee–boss relationship.

This book delivers all the best fake-dating tropes: sharp banter, slow-burn heat, and a broody, morally-gray hero who absolutely lives up to his “Satan” nickname. Damian is intense and commanding, while Brielle is smart, relatable, and refreshingly grounded. Together, they’re electric.

If you are looking for the perfect light, contemporary romance just in time for Valentine’s Day, allow this book to be your match!

In this office boss/employee setting, we see the accidental blossoming of a “supposed to be fake” relationship between Damien Edgerton and Brielle Collins. And you can fight love all you want, but when the fates are aligned, well, what are you gonna do about it?

I thought this book was just the cutest and their painfully obvious attraction to one another just made me swoon. He’s so gentle to her and vice versa which is what makes this book stand out.

I will say I’m mad Devin got let off so lightly cuz screw him.

All in all, a really cozy, steamy read.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Satan’s Valentine is a sweet and spicy workplace rom-com that delivers tension, chemistry, and just the right amount of spice. Damian, a cold, intimidating executive infamously nicknamed “Satan” by his employees, ropes his new hire, Brielle, into pretending to be his date in order to secure a crucial business deal. As expected, one fake date turns into stolen glances, tension, and feelings neither of them planned on catching.

The grumpy-x-sunshine dynamic is done so well here. Their banter, slow-burn attraction, and forbidden workplace romance kept me invested from start to finish. Both characters were enjoyable and I always love a dual POV.

Overall, this was a fun, flirty, and entertaining read with plenty of heart and heat. The perfect rom-com to curl up with before Valentine’s Day, especially if you love fake dating, workplace romance, and a grumpy man who falls hard.

Special thanks to Isla and Grey's Promotions for kindly sending me a copy of this to review!

I absolutely ate this up! From start to finish, this was witty, spicy, and just a fun time. Brielle and Damien's relationship was one that was really great to watch develop. Though it started out a hoax, it quickly grew into something more. I loved watching Damien slowly start to develop feelings for her and realize that he could actually love someone and I loved watching Brielle absolutely bring out the best in him.

Brielle was such a loveable character. She knows what she wants and she's not afraid to ask for it. She had a bit of character growth in this story. She gets hired on to be an accountant but quickly works her way up to the marketing level through showing her expertise. I loved her banter and that she was sassy and not afraid to also give Damien a piece of her mind, when necessary.

Such a great read!

This is Damian and Brielle’s story.
Damian has it all, a penthouse apartment, and a thriving business, but relationships are not on the cards for him, while Brielle is a new employee. When a client assumes that Damian is in a relationship and invites him and his girlfriend to a Valentine’s dinner, he needs a date and fast, but luckily Brielle is working late, and he asks her to be his pretend girlfriend.
This is a well written easy to read story, with family, friendships, emotions, drama, fake dating, grumpy / sunshine, opposites attract, humour, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This my second book from Isla and I know have this author as my immediate pick.

This follows MMC Damian, CEO of CreativEdge and FMC Brielle, an accountant at the company.

This starts with Damien asking Brielle to accompany him to a dinner where he is meeting a client that thinks he is bringing his significant other with him. Things spiral and they end up being talked into a weekend camping trip.

This book was a delight to read. I am glad that Damian and Brielle were able to move beyond their arrangement and give into what they both were feeling and wanting no matter what others had to say about it.

Thank you @islastelmark_author and @greyspromo for this advanced readers copy!

I’m a sucker for the fake dating. I truly am.
This is a boss/employee, fake dating, workplace, only one bed, and a slow burn. So basically all of my favorite things ever.
I genuinely don’t think Isla could write a bad book if she tried. I have truly loved every single one of her books and it seems that they just get better each time.
Our fmc Brielle is just a ray of sunshine and I love her so bad.
Our mmc Damian is of course grumpy.
This seriously was such the perfect grumpy/sunshine dynamic.
I’m so excited that this book is out and I hope everyone reads it asap

Damian and Brielle wow they were a fierce couple. Talk about two people that were at each other‘s throats from the first time they meet. Brielle is smart, sassy little bit of snark all wrapped up in this fantastic package. Damien is another story altogether he is gorgeous brooding atubborn and a little bit scary. Everybody in his office is afraid of him. No one can make him happy. Brielle waltzes into his company, and turns his life upside down. They fight the attraction so hard that chemistry sizzles under the surface. Watching them argue and banter is fantastic. She has no problems going toe to toe with him. She actually enjoys it a lot I love watching them argue. Their love story is slightly unconventional, but it was so fun to witness. I’m so glad they figured out how to make it work and got there happily ever after.

The title immediately grabbed me.
Damian is dark, menacing and exacting. Brielle is exactly what he needs even if he’s super slow to admit it.
She sashays into his world with wit, tenacity, and ideas.
She slays him as he needed to be turned around and his heart kickstarted.
Several times I thought the plot would go differently than it did but they were kidding themselves thinking they could hide their attraction to each other.
A perfect read for the upcoming heart day.

Satan’s Valentine is a fun, fast-paced romance built around a classic fake-dating trope. Damian, a cold and intimidating executive nicknamed “Satan,” convinces his new employee Brielle to pretend to be his girlfriend for a Valentine’s Day dinner, and what starts as a one-night arrangement quickly turns into something more.

I really enjoyed this story and was genuinely surprised by how much I liked it. The banter was fun, the chemistry felt natural, and Damian’s tough exterior paired well with Brielle’s grounded personality. It’s executed well and makes for an easy, enjoyable read.

Overall, this is the perfect pick for Valentine’s Day if you’re in the mood for something spicy, tropey, and sweet. 💕

I’ll start by saying that contemporary romance isn’t usually my go-to, I tend to gravitate more toward dark romance and fantasy. That said, this book completely hooked me and refused to let go. The plot was beautifully developed, and the chemistry between the FMC and MMC was undeniably electric. I don’t think I’ve ever rooted harder for two characters to work it out. The writing was exceptional and genuinely took me by surprise. A flawless read for me, five stars, no notes.

Well, Damien started of being a bit of a nightmare but as we got to know him a bit better we realise that he is passionate about his company, had seen a horrible example of love through his father and, underneath everything, he's a bit of a softy!
I loved the way he softened for Brielle and, when the crunch came, that she chose him. They were so good for each other and I loved Brielle's snarky nature.
