Even before they fell in love, Sacha “Joker” Wilder had already changed Giovanni Galanos’s world—protecting him, making him laugh, and forcing him to face a truth he’d been avoiding.
When violence erupts on the red carpet and their world is turned upside down, Gio is left reeling with guilt and fear that he could lose the man who means everything to him.
But when the danger returns, Gio discovers a strength he never knew he had, because this time, he’s the only thing standing between Sacha and the man determined to destroy everything they’ve built together.

Unexpected side effect of reading this - This book got me a bit choked up because everyone is getting older, like it's been 7 years since Ace met Colton. And the dogs are getting older - and I don't know how Charlie will write stories set in another 7 years from this one.
I adore Gio and Joker together. They're right at the top of my list of favorite Kings couples right with King and Leo. I love the family, always growing, adding more men and dogs LOL.
I read this as part of her patreon releases, and I love all the new story that's been added to it! If you're a member of her patreon, make sure you grab the final released edition b/c there is a lot more story that's been added!
Greg does an amazing job narrating this whole series. And I'm so happy that Leo's voice sounded a bit better than it was in the holiday novellas (more like his own book)
I can't wait for more in the Kings world. This is my ultimate comfort series and I always love a visit with any and everyone. But can we figure out how to make the dogs immortal????
Yes, I had to go back and see who the heck these people were, but now I know!!! Emotional story (yes, there were tissues involved) and even though I am more fond of children as side characters than dogs... those pups, both young and old, still make me smile!!!
Returning to the Four Kings universe always feels like coming home, but wow, this one hit me right in the feels. There were tears, so many tears, both the achey, heartbreaking kind and the soft, joyful kind that come from feeling completely wrapped up in a story.
Charlie Cochet is an absolute master at emotional balance. She makes you laugh, swoon, and clutch your chest, then throws in action, drama, and the bestest doggos for good measure. And somehow, in Wilder in Love, she delivers all of that in just 140 pages!
The Kings and their crew continue to serve some of the best found family vibes; and Joker and Gio are grumpy x sunshine perfection. Every interaction between them made my heart happy! And yes, we get some Leo fish snack-related adorableness too. I will never, ever tire of it 🥹
This novella can be read as a standalone, but it will resonate so much more if you’ve read the rest of the Four Kings universe, and honestly, I cannot recommend it enough.
My mental health has been pretty poor lately, and this book was exactly what I needed. Comforting, joyful, funny and emotional ❤️
This refers to the audiobook version. So good to be back int he Kings Universe again. It feels like such a long time. This story follows Sasha and Gio as they attend an event where someone tries to shoot Gio, but hits Sasha instead. Sasha is in a coma and the whole Kings family have to face the worry that comes from not knowing when he will recover. The story digs into their relationships and touches on their brotherhood as well. Great short story to keep us invested and waiting for the next one. Greg Boudreaux as always gives a fantastic performance.
I love when we revisit the couples now as they move forward in their relationships. This book gives us a serious injury which causes several of the guys to contemplate their lives. We end up with a fight between friends, one king revisiting his therapist, another allowing himself to spiral into unhealthy behavior, and our MC realizing what’s important. We also get a marriage proposal and Gio fighting off an attacker. Ooh, and a future puppy! A nice range of emotions in play!
Aw, it was so lovely to spend more time with Gio and Joker and the dogs. This was a fun novella in the series. I laughed and cried in equal measure. Joker and Chip have long been favourites and it was great to catch up with the rest of the Kings too. I can't believe Lucky voluntarily gave Joker his flan - iykyk 😉 4*
I just... I love this world so much. There could probably be a million more books, maybe books about if they have kids and the kids grow up and take over the company and are super bad ass, and I would read every single one. Greg does an amazing job narrating as usual, and I'm so excited that this came out. Please write more, Charlie, please!
Great story and it so exciting to be back in the Four Kings world again, so much action and hurt but alls well in the end. I miss these guys, so thank you for an sight to their lives again.
3.5/5. Because it got inconsistent out of nowhere and threw me off. Can’t be night when it was morning, now can it? Whole chapter was a wash. It was annoying and ruined a perfectly good time. Other than that, it was great.
it’s nice to be back in this universe again. sacha and gio always have been my favorite.. and chip, of course.. I hope that there’s going to be another novella for their wedding..
This is such a wonderful return to two of the best characters from the slings world. The family and friendships are real. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
