Figure skater Cami Logan has never struggled to say what she thinks, except when it comes to Gunnar Cameron. Where she’s fire, he’s steady. Where she jumps in without looking, he’s the calm that’s always been there to catch her. And for years, that balance has kept them safely in the grey area between friendship and something more… mostly because Gunnar was taken, and Cami refused to be the reason he wasn’t. But now Gunnar is single. Now, the shift between them is impossible to ignore. And now Cami can’t keep pretending her stomach doesn’t flip every time he looks at her like she’s the one thing he’s been holding himself back from. They told themselves friendship was safer. Cleaner. Easier. Until Gunnar’s walls start to crack and Cami realises he’s been hiding more than his feelings. They’ve always been a what-if….until now
Arc reader (A very late one) . . Got to say this book came at the perfect time. . The first book of the series was the first hockey romance I ever read and it made me understand the hype around it perfectly. This second one just sold me on their friend group. The romance was incredible and it had me rooting, laughing, crying and screaming at the pages. But I do have to say, it was the friends dinamic that will make me absolutely continue to follow this gang. The way they create space for eachother, the way they listen and care, the way they create a family with eachother (even the hard parts of family dinamic) is beautiful beyond words. The author has the ability of making us, the readers, feel as welcomed and as part of their little family, so naturally. Personally (and why my review came late) I had my own family situations to solve during the reading of this book, so it also offered me some type of shelter, and the possibility of coming back to them in refuge of real life is always the best feeling a reader can get. . I may not know precisely what the author has in store next, but I am sure I will pick up whatever she offers us nex.
This is another great book by Ellen Sarah!!! I loved this book. I still feel like the first one was the absolute best but I still enjoyed this book. There were some editing mistakes, such as misspelled words or grammar mistakes, which could easily be fixed by having someone else read through the story before final publishing. This story made me cry probably just as much as the first one did. A big scene that happened closer to the end of the book between Gunnar and his father. I didn't expect it to make me cry but it totally did. It took me a good couple of minutes to fully recover from that chapter. I love that Ellen Sarah kept Sasha around in the story to show just how toxic she actually was and to show that you can move on with your life even if someone is still trying to insert themselves into it. I'm also really happy that she wrote about how even though Sasha apologized he didn't accept it, showing that if someone hurts you even if they apologize you don't have to be okay with it and accept it.

I was surprised again how much I like this one, this friend group is so fun and I really loved Cami and Gunnar, my only wish is that there was just one big conflict and not twice we had to go through gunnnar messing up!
Docked a 1/2 star because the grammar in this was actually so incorrect sometimes I legit couldn’t focus on what was happening (I hate to be that girl, but come on)
