1938-ൽ തിരുവനന്തപുരം ജില്ലയിലെ നഗരൂരിൽ ജനിച്ചു. എൻജിനീയറിങ് വിദ്യാഭ്യാസത്തെത്തുടർന്ന് പൊതുമരാമത്തുവകുപ്പിൽ ജോലിയിൽ പ്രവേശിച്ചു. 1960-ൽ വർക്കല നാരായണഗുരുകുലത്തിൽ അന്തേവാസിയായിച്ചേരുകയും 1967-ൽ നടരാജഗുരുവിൽനിന്നും ബ്രഹ്‌മചാരീദീക്ഷ സ്വീകരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. 1968-ൽ ഉദ്യോഗം രാജിവെച്ച് ധർമ്മ പ്രചാരകനായിത്തീർന്നു. 1985-ൽ നിത്യചൈതന്യയതിയിൽനിന്ന് സന്ന്യാസ​ദീക്ഷ കിട്ടി. 1973-1989 കാലഘട്ടത്തിൽ 'ഗുരുകുലം' മാസികയുടെ പത്രാധിപരായിരുന്നു. 1987-ലെ മോസ്‌കോ ലോകമത വട്ടമേശസമ്മേളനത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തു. ഗ്രീക്ക് ചിന്തകർ, പൂർണ്ണജനനം, പ്രബന്ധമാല, ന്യായദർശനം, വേദാന്തം-നാരായണഗുരുവരെ, ഹിന്ദുമതത്തിലെ ശാസ്ത്ര​വീക്ഷണം, The Philosophy of Narayanaguru, Functional Democracy–A failure in India, Karma and Reincarnation എന്നിവയാണ് സ്വതന്ത്ര​കൃതികളിൽ പ്രധാനം. ശ്രീനാരായണകൃതികൾ, ഭഗവദ് ഗീത, ഉപനിഷത്തുകൾ എന്നിവയ്ക്ക് ഭാഷ്യം രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. 1999 മുതൽ നാരായണഗുരുകുലപ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിന്റെ അധ്യക്ഷനും ഗുരുവും.

Wherefrom words turn back,
Together with the mind, not having attained
The bliss of Brahma he who knows,
Fears not at any time at all.

[All plurality and antitheses of existence developed from
an original and still immanent unity:]
He desired:
'Would that I were many! Let me procreate myself!
He performed austerity. Having performed austerity,
he created this whole world, whatever there is here. Having
created it, into it, indeed, he entered. Having entered it, he
became both the actual (sat) and the yon (tya), both the 'defined'
(nirukta) and the undefined, both the based and the nonbased,
both the conscious (vijnana) and the unconscious, both
the real (satya) and the false (anrta). As the real, he became
whatever there is here. That is what they call the real.

Both he who is here in a person and he who is yonder in the
sun—he is one.

Wherefrom words turn back,
Together with the mind, not having attained
The bliss of Brahma he who knows,
Fears not from anything at all.

Then he said to him:
'That, verily, whence beings here are born, that by which when born they live, that into which on deceasing they enter, that be desirous of understanding. That is Brahma.'
He performed austerity. Having performed austerity, he understood that Brahma is food. For truly, indeed, beings here are born from food, when born, they live by food, on deceasing they enter into food.

Oh, wonderful! Oh, wonderful! Oh, wonderful!
I am food! I am food! I am food!
I am a food-eater! I am a food-eater! I am a food-eater!
I am a fame-maker (sloka-kri)! I am a fame-maker! I am a
fame-maker!
I am the first-born of the world-order (rta),
Earlier than the gods, in the navel of immortality!
Who gives me away, he indeed has aided me!
I, who am food, eat the eater of food!
