This was a pretty good book. Daisy Donovan and John "Squint" Mathison are attracted to each other. So much so that he goes to Montana to bring her back to Bridesmaid Creek. They give in to their passions and Daisy finds herself pregnant with triplets. Having friends and the community accept Daisy and her father is new to them. Accepting what has happened in the past also brings Daisy and John closer together. I liked both of these character's they had a lot of chemistry and it was hot. This was my first time reading this author. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling I am looking forward to reading more books from this author.
Good conclusion to the series. In previous books, Daisy has been known as the "Diva of Destruction". She's the daughter of the town's richest man and has always been a bit of a wild child. At the end of the last book she had left town to visit a friend in Montana, trying to come to terms with the trouble she had caused and what she could do to fix it.
She was followed up there by John, who has been in love with her for several years. He's finally convinced her to come back home. He's given up trying to convince her that he loves her, in spite of the fact that they had made love in a weak moment. He plans to give up on that dream and hit the rodeo circuit, or get a job teaching ROTC somewhere. Whatever will take him away from Bridesmaids Creek and his heartbreak.
Daisy had been trying to use the town's matchmaking magic to win herself a husband, but she'd had her eye on the wrong man, ignoring the one that was in love with her. By the time she realized that he was the one she loved, he was gone and she needs to find a way to get him back. She wants to show him that she's come to her senses at last. But the whole reunion thing didn't go quite as she expected, and between his new reluctance to restart their relationship and a wild trip to Vegas with their friend Sam, Daisy is left really confused. She takes off to try to figure things out.
Things start to get pretty wild. John realizes that he really is still in love with Daisy. Her pregnancy is just extra motivation to get her to marry him. He's never really believed in the whole magic thing that the town claims, but those that do try to convince him. When Daisy comes back, John immediately proposes to her, but now she is the one who is holding back. First, she doesn't want John to feel that he's been trapped into marrying her. Second, he's always been a rolling stone, and she has trouble believing that he would be happy settling down.
There is also Daisy's belief that her actions have ruined the matchmaking magic for the town. She won't marry John until she finds a way to fix it. She deeply believes in that magic and wants it for herself and her marriage to John, worried that without it their marriage won't last. When she ends up on bed rest waiting for the triplets to be born, she finds the perfect solution, one that was a bit of a surprise but turned out to be just right for her.
All John really wants is to get Daisy married to him any way he can manage it. He knows that the Bridesmaids Creek legends are important to her, so he takes some steps to do something about it. He is determined on this course, even though she tries to convince him that it isn't needed. It was pretty funny to see him ignore everything people tried to tell him, certain that he was doing the right thing. Of course, it all works out in the end. There was also a neat twist for the guy who pooh-poohed the whole Bridesmaids Creek legend and ends up being a part of it himself.
What a fantastic premise. The magic of romance combines with human nature in this quaint little town that I just can’t get enough of. Leonard has created a unique tale of love and parenthood, where marriage is a race. The town comes to life in a vivid manner while the characters and their stories captured my heart.
Watching these two lovebirds come together was quite comical at times. The magic of Bridesmaid Creek was at war with the mistaken beliefs of the main characters, creating events and circumstances that were off the charts. Not only was the relationship between the two main characters unpredictable yet wildly romantic, they were fantastic individuals in their own rights. I loved John’s single-minded devotion. He put his all into everything he believed in. Daisy’s belief in the magic of the town was endearing, while her go-get-em attitude makes her really stand out. Surrounded by all the fantastic, and well developed, individuals in Bridesmaids Creek, Leonard has created a compelling cast to carry this story forward.
Ok, I’ll admit, I’ve yet to read the first few novels in this series, but now I’m going back to read them. This story can easily be read as a standalone, but I’m hooked on the world that Leonard has created & I’m dying for more.
Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.
I found this book to be a quick, fun, sweet, charming read. I liked both Daisy and John. They made a cute couple. In addition, I thought they were both equally matched. Daisy could stay on her own two feet even if all her guy friends thought that she needed the extra protection (from John).
There was some witty banter to be had in this book as well. Which kept things entertaining and helped move the story along. Also the more I got to know of the people of Bridesmaids Creek the more that I liked the town and the people who resided there. I will have to check out the other books in this series. However if you are looking for a fun book to read than you should check this one out.
I accepted The Cowboy SEAL’s Triplets for an honest review, via Net-Galley. I love military romance, so when I read the book description, I was anxious to dive into this one. Not only does it have a SEAL in it, it has a cowboys and babies, love books with little ones in them. I thought this would be a match made in heaven for me.
Daisy Donovan is the town’s “Diva of Destruction.” Because Daisy feels like an outsider, she has promoted her bad girl image. She rides around on her motorcycle with her five member entourage following behind, wreaking havoc in the small town. She returns from Montana on the back of John Lopez “Squint” Mathison’s bike, an ex-Navy SEAL after an undisclosed period of time.
John and Daisy have known each other for several years, and he’s known from the beginning Daisy is the woman for him. This dilemma is convincing Daisy he’s the man for her. When Daisy discovers she’s pregnant, he is determined to get her to the altar before their birth. Will John win her over before the birth of his sons, or will the Bridesmaids magic keep them apart?
I want to say up front, The Cowboy SEAL’s Triplets is an easy read and definitely had a lot of action, which kept the story moving along at a steady pace. I did enjoy Cosette Lafleur’s character a great deal, and I also liked Jane Chatham’s as well. This is a story with the town of Bridesmaids Creek at the center. The plot is driven by the town’s magic for matchmaking, not the characters.
Unfortunately, I had a difficult time with this book. I think that if I had read the other three in this series first, I might have enjoyed this one a bit more. There are some very humorous scenes that had me chuckling out loud, and I did like the hero and the heroine and enjoyed their romance. However, I would have liked to see more depth in their characters, and an easier to follow plot.
The story tends to jump from one scene to another without a strong transition, which I found quite distracting, pulling me out of the story. At times, I had to backtrack to figure out which characters were in the new scene.
This is a book for anyone who enjoys a tale set in small town USA with plenty of humor sprinkled in with a sweet romance thrown into the mix. I do recommend reading the other books in this series first before you read The Cowboy SEAL’s Triplets. Happy reading!
Another great Bridesmaids creek book.Daisy's story while not my favorite is still a great addition to this series. Now I am waiting for Sam's story.I love the legend and all the fun in this series.
I love reading romance stories and especially when there are military or even ex-military men. I know that I have not read the other series and maybe that is why I had a hard time reading this story. The story was good and interesting but I had a hard time just following it. Maybe I need to read the other books to get a better sense of who Daisy Donovan is to better under stand her character. But no matter what I was able to read the whole story and there were times that I caught myself laughing because of her little gang that followed her and were in love with her.
Daisy Donovan wants to make a difference in her home town she is tired of being the bad girl. She wants to make a difference and after coming back from Montana she knows that she never did love the other man she had been pinning for. After being with John she knew that she loved him but the problem was that when she finally did realize that he had hightailed it out of BC.
John “Squint” Mathison has been in love with Daisy and after their little time in Montana knew that he couldn’t stay in BC. He ended up leaving on his birthday to meet up with his family. He was a SEAL but was also a cowboy and he was going back to the rodeo scene. But he never would have thought that his fellow SEAL would have driven Daisy to get him back to BC. But there was a catch according to Sam him and Daisy were going to get married. I knew that he was not going to believe that ridiculous story so he had one for them. He wanted to join them to Vegas to get married but before they could to that Daisy made her escape.
When Daisy went to look for John because he didn’t say goodbye she already knew she was pregnant but didn’t say anything to John but Sam couldn’t keep his trap shut. When John found out that Daisy was pregnant the first thing that went to his head was who the father to her child was. I could not believe what he was thinking who was the father did he really think that she was sleeping around. He wanted to find her and it seemed that she had disappeared. Daisy needed time to think about things but knew sooner or later she needed to get back to BC because that’s where she wanted her triplets born. Just when he was getting her gang to help him find her after trying really hard because they loved her she ends up coming back. I knew that when he proposed to her it was a bad idea not because he didn’t love her but because it was bad timing. I knew that Daisy needed time to work out her own issues but she also needed to know that John was not going to feel trapped by her pregnancy. John was a kind of man that didn’t stay in one place long enough and she was frightened about that. But the biggest problem was that Daisy believe she ruined the magic in the matchmaking. She ends up finding a solution and that solution makes her shine.
The Cowboy SEAL’s Triplets was a good read. Even though I had difficulty following the story I still enjoyed it. I did find myself laughing a lot while reading this story. I will encourage readers to read the other books first before reading this story.
Received ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an Honest Review
3.5 I enjoyed the backward humor and at times laughed, I thought the characters were great. There is a lot going on in this story along with a little action. About the time Daisy finally makes up her mind she wants John he gives up. He has worked so hard chasing her and not catching her he just gives up. I felt so sorry for him it is hard when you love someone this much and they do not return your love. Now Daisy has to prove she loves him. Once he finds out she is having his kids nothing is going to stop him from having her. John turns the tables on her now she is chasing him, of course he will let her catch him but he isn’t giving in easy.
There are a lot of things I loved about this book, it has a great plot, the characters are wonderful and funny. The background about the town was very interesting, magic was great. The main characters kept me laughing. I just never understood why she took the meds to make sure she would get pregnant when she had no plans to. After that the author pretty just lost me, I guess I was expecting more of an alpha male being military.
I had difficulty getting through this book I love Tina’s writing but for me she just didn’t do it. I did love the hero and the heroine and enjoyed their romance. At times the plot was a little hard to follow. I know readers out there will love this book. I have a lot going on that and a plot that wasn’t the easiest to follow could be why I had issues. Please give this a read and decided for yourself. If you are a Tina Leonard fan as I am you should give this a read, maybe I missed something that you will pick up.
What a laugh a minute this story is! It is told in such a humorous, and witty way, with lots of bantering dialog, and events and turns in the plot, that you can't help but laugh. Through the dialog you can sense and feel the southern drawl in all its beauty, I got a huge kick out of that! The town Bridesmaid Creek seems a bit looney or nuts at first, with all the talk about magic and matchmaking. But they are warm, kindhearted people, who truly care about each other and the happiness of their fellow townsfolk. John and Daisy's story have already started as the tale kicks off, and it took a little while for me to get into it, as it felt like the story started in an another book. But that's the danger when reading books from a series not in order, so that's completely on me. And the book is not so much about the romance of John and Daisy, since they already love each other, even though it takes a while for them to admit it. It is more about the crazy town, it's matchmaking magic, John and Daisy's attempts to get married. It is fun, hilarious, fast read, since you get so into the story and dialog that the pages just flies. It is a perfect summer read, that will put a smile on your face, and the ending will make you go 'aahhh...' ~ Four Spoons!
"The Cowboy SEAL's Triplets" by Tina Leonard is the continuation of the authors series from her 'Bridesmaid Creek" books. It is a read alone book, and the author does a great job explaining the characters if this is the first book you've read in this series. I recommend the series because they're all good books, and you find out a little bit more about the Daisy and John's previous relations. Great, light hearted read.
Daisy Donovan and John "Squint" Mathison are attracted to each other. So much so that he goes to Montana to bring her back to Bridesmaid Creek. They give in to their passions and Daisy finds herself pregnant with triplets. Having friends and the community accepting Daisy and her father is new to them both. Accepting what has happened in the past also brings Daisy and John closer together.
I've heard that this might be the last of this series, but I am hoping to hear more about the Bridesmaid Creek family.
The Cowboy SEAL's Triplets is a traditional romance with some unique twists to it. The magic of the legend of Bridesmaid Creek is the perfect setting for John and Daisy's story.
The matchmaker has lost her magic and Daisy decides to become an apprentice to help keep the town's magic alive, but being pregnant with triplets is a challenge.
John has all but given up on Daisy, after 3 failed attempts to win her heart he is ready to leave town, but when Daisy and his friend Sam tell him they have decided to get married there is no way he will loose his chance to get between them and get around the legend of the magic of the town to win his bride.
This book has a lot going on, but what a ride... the story is fun and well worth the read :)
The Cowboy Seal's Triplets by Tina Leonard was a good book. Daisy Donovan and John Mathison both live in a town called Bridemaids Creek. Where magic happens between couples. John tried three times to win Daisy in a swimming contest. He lost all three times. Daisy becomes pregnant with triplets. John is determined to win Daisy heart. Another swim contest is coming up. He is determined to win Daisy by swimming and winning. He does win. A good book
This was a nice romance that has Daisy coming back to Bridesmaid, Texas carrying John's triplets. He's ecstatic and woos her into marrying him. He's ready to settle down and raise his family. The town's history and magic add to the story. This author writes a lot of series and there are plenty of men and ladies to have this series continue.
I'm not going to go into detail with this because it's so late, but I have to say this was incredibly implausible when it came to the whole multiples pregnancy thing, which is what ruined much of the possible enjoyment I could have gotten from the book.
I finished it but it left an unpleasant taste in my mouth because of the pregnancy situation itself.
Can't wait to see if you write anything about Sam. I'd like to see a story on him. Also, I'd like to find out how the new generation follows their elders. You never see what happens when their kids grow up and how they deal.
I read all 4 books in 2 days, I was hoping to give 5 stars but just couldn't do it. I really did dislike how the men were never listened to and women had all the say in their relationships, I did love the HEA and of course the babies. Please say that Sam is getting his own book.
