A Regency Holiday Romance #2

His Valentine Princess

Rate this book
Once an incurable romantic, Lady Valentina Deville is determined to forsake a love match and marry a man who is deemed sensible minded and of great enough title and fortune to satisfy her father and mother, the Duke and Duchess of Alton.

Henry Russell, 6th Duke of Daventry is a rake with a great aversion to the idea of marriage. Battle hardened, the frippery and frills of the haut ton do not interest him. Urged to attend a New Year’s Ball hosted by the Duke and Duchess of Alton, he is intrigued to see the belle of the season, Lady Valentina.

Her enchanting visage awakens something inside of him he longed believed to be dead. He decides to court her and make her his Valentine Princess. The only question is—can he touch the romantic that still burns within Valentina’s soul?

Eh...

I really really wanted to like this book. It sounded like a good book. After I started reading it though it was completely unrealistic. He fell in love at first sight and in the next chapter he wondered if it was real or not and a sentence after that it was real again. That's when I stopped reading it. So it might have gotten better but...doubtful. :/

Another win for Marly Mathews!

What can I say? Marley Mathews hit a home run with this book. The characters were spot on, a wee bit of intrigue, and an amazing plot. What more can you ask for in a book. The only thing I would change is the length, I want more!
