Welcome to Foxwood Hollow
In a world of fox shifters sits a small, quaint town where everyone knows your business. Often stifling, always safe and forever a place to call home.

Cooper
I was done hiding. Okay, I was working towards being done hiding.
For the first time in my life, I’d accepted who I was.
An alpha who liked other alphas, and a submissive one at that.
But then, I never expected the Daddy Dom of my dreams to be the guy who I’d been a tiny bit obsessed with ever since he’d returned to Foxwood Hollow.
Patrick Morgan was an enigma. A firm Dom with a gentle hand, yet walls so high they were impossible to scale.
But boy did I want to try…

Patrick
Cooper Bailey was a temptation I needed to stay away from.
My ex left me with more issues than Vogue, but mine were strictly of the trust variety, and a soft-hearted sub like Cooper didn’t need my baggage weighing him down.
And yet, everything about him called to me. Submissive to his core, desperate for guidance, and without a doubt one of the most beautiful people I’d ever met. Wanting him was dangerous. Having him? Out of the question… Right?
Cooper needed a version of me I thought had been buried in my past, but if anyone could squeeze through a crack in my walls, it might just be my little fox.

A Daddy for Cooper is an interconnected standalone. While this book will contain spoilers for book 1, it can be enjoyed on its own.

Having been an avid reader her whole life, Emory got back into writing in early 2023. She began writing the first draft of Star-crossed Betas in June of the same year, and the story spilled out of her onto paper in just seven weeks.

It didn’t take long for Emory to realise that there were more love stories to be told and a larger mystery at hand, so it became book one of a four-part series.

In the rare moments Emory isn’t writing or editing, she can usually be found reading with her cat, Buffy. Or, in better weather, out walking in the beautiful Yorkshire scenery that provided the perfect backdrop for her books.

4.5 ⭐️ I was so excited for Cooper's story, and it did not disappoint! When I initially read the first book in the Foxwood Hollow-series, I fell in love with Emory Winter's writing, and their great omegaverse- and shifter-universe. In the second book in the series, we follow Cooper, an alpha that has different interests and tastes than most of his fellow alphas. I thought that using the omega/alpha-trope as a way of conveying real life struggles for anyone feeling different, maybe especially in the queer community, was such a great way of incorporating this in their story. The story had so many layers, and going into the characters D/S relationship felt so real and that the author had put a lot of thought and research into it. The characters felt alive, and you felt for them deeply. I overall had a very good time with this book, and I hope we'll get more stories form the same universe in the future.

If you like omegaverse, age gap, hurt/comfort, D/S, and great storytelling, this is a book for you!

A big thank you to the author for providing me with an arc of their story, I'm forever grateful! <3

4.25 pretty much perfection stars

I loved this book so much! I enjoyed A Den Mate for Dylan (the first book in the series) but A Daddy for Cooper was on another level.

This is a fast burn (first spice is at 8%), medium heat Daddy/boy book full of sweetness and angst. Patrick is the grumpiest grump who can't fight his need to look after and obsess over the boy he has told himself he can't have. I know a few people think Patrick is occasionally a jerk to Cooper, but I identified a lot with Patrick's story as someone experienced heartbreak so profound it changed my life forever, and I implore you to go into this book understanding that the mistakes Patrick makes (which aren't even that many) come from a place of trauma and deep fear. He wants to be a perfect Dom for Cooper, but he also needs ✨therapy✨.

Cooper meanwhile is just the squishiest cinnamon roll ever who has never been appreciated the way he should be by anyone in his life and I want to squeeze him and hug him and protect him from every bad thing ever. He is so sad and yet so sweet and giving and just... ugh. I love himb your honour.

Patrick and Coop both get things wrong in their "not-a-relationship" (totally a relationship) D/s dynamic but at the heart of this book is too wounded souls who find peace and happiness together and I loved it so much.

And the spice was *chef's kiss*. Although Emory I can't believe you teased us with that mention of spanking at that end!

Thanks to Emory Winters for the ARC, these are my honest and voluntary opinions, and thanks to my fellow ARC reader caitycatreads for buddy reading this with me, kisses! 🥰

An anxious little fox who just wants to be cared for meets the most emotionally unavailable man to imprint on.

Cooper is alpha sexual and a bit kinky so he’s struggling to find someone to be his. But after meeting his dream Daddy Dom at a kink club and the best night of his life, he’s feeling slightly optimistic. Except his Daddy is the cafe owner in his hometown who he’s been crushing on for years. Patrick is clear that this can only be a kink arrangement and he’s not in a position for a relationship. You know since his ex boyfriend cheated on him years ago and he never got over it (PLEASE GO TO THERAPY).

But Cooper is actually adorable. He’s earnest and genuine and so innocently sweet. It’s impossible for Patrick not to fall for him, but unfortunately hurts him in the process.

The main conflict was tough to read and I wanted more groveling and more communication. But I do love them together - Patrick is so caring and protective…when his head isn’t in his ass. I’m glad Cooper finally got his happy ending!

This was such an emotional trip, I did not expect the layers of it 🥹 Cooper, whom we met in book one of this series is an alpha. And when he tries to discover things about himself, he comes closer to Patrick, who also happens to be an alpha.

Well, in an omegaverse story you automatically think about an alpha and an omega, but with the dynamic of Cooper and Patrick, they are definitely something special. Cooper is such a sweetheart, who deserves all the best and Patrick is a very loveable grump. None of them are perfect, and that's good the way it is 💘

I enjoyed this story very much and would love to read more about these characters 😍

And: how cute is this cover? Absolutely love it 💫

Aww, this was so wonderful. My heart feels so full right now, you guys. I really enjoyed A Den Mate for Dylan, so I was very eager to read Cooper story. And oh boy, did it steal my heart.

Cooper is an Alpha, but not really like most. He's only into other Alpha's and on top of that, he's a sub. My heart ached for him so bad. He's so soft and sweet and I wanted to cuddle him and wrap him in the softest blankets. Sweet little fox.

I liked Patrick! He's very much a Daddy Dom, a caretaker. Though he had the longest way to go emotionally and it didn't always go smooth. But he won me over in the end.

While I loved this, I do feel conflicted about one thing. There is a 3rd act break-up and while I do feel it was necessary in a way, I don't quite like how it happened and it's part of why Patrick didn't steal my heart quite like Cooper did.

Overall, this is a sweet, heartfelt omegaverse romance with plenty of all the feels. If it sounds like your thing, definitely check it out if/when you can.

A Daddy for Cooper by Emory Winters is book 2 in the Foxwood Hollow series. I loved book 1 and was very excited to see book 2 was out. I remember loving Cooper in the first book. He was such a sweet character. As an alpha, he was expected to behave a certain way, love a certain way, and be attracted to certain people. He was so different from his biology. He has been attracted to Patrick for several years, but a chance meeting at the local club allows him to realize how perfect Patrick is for him. However, Patrick has been hurt in the past and is not up for anything serious. I adored Cooper. Patrick…not so much. He did two things that I found almost unforgivable: abandoning Cooper during a subdrop and the crack he made about “mommy issues”. I wanted to see more groveling and fighting for Cooper. I did really like how Cooper stood up to him after the fight, but I think I just wanted to see more. I did really enjoy this one. I hope that we see more from this author in this universe.

I received an ARC from the author for my honest review.

The fact that I read this book in 24 hours should speak for itself on how much I loved it!! This book is so sweet but it always has some angst sprinkled in. Patrick is a Daddy Dom who is recovering from heartbreak and is convinced that he doesn't want another relationship. ENTER COOPER! Cooper is an absolute angel and I adore him so much. These two actually had me crying at one point. I was not expecting this book to pull such emotion from me.

First book by this author and I fricken LOVED it!!

Cooper is an alpha fox who is attracted to other alpha foxes. Other alphas take this to mean he wants it hard and rough when in actually that couldn't be farther from the truth. In fact, Cooper is by his very nature, quite submissive and finding another alpha who will allow him the space to be the sub he's always wanted to be seems to an impossible task.

Patrick is an alpha fox who is on the lookout for a sub. He doesn't mind in that sub comes in the form of an omega or an alpha as long as they are willing to allow him to care for them. When he sees Cooper trying to figure himself out at a local kink club, he offers him one night - and one night only. (Haven't heard that one before 😂)

Of course one night was never going to be enough for these two, but they both have quite a bit of baggage to unpack on their journey to a HEA. For Patrick it's the scars left behind by a cheating ex and for Cooper its feeling comfortable being a sub in an alpha body and all that that entails.

Coopers was the most scrumptious sub alpha that I've ever read about. His needy-ness and the tentative way that he was coaxed out of his shell by Patrick had me swooning. Patrick tried his absolute best to keep Cooper at tails length but he was kidding himself right from the start and watching him struggle with that was both hilarious and gut wrenching.

I was sucked in from page one and highly enjoyed both the writing style and the pacing throughout. The moments of tenderness, spice and angst were perfectly balanced and took me on a rollercoaster of emotion. Note - Cooper's brother and Coopers best friend are side characters in this book, although their HEA is the focus of book one - which I haven't read yet. It seems that the storylines run concurrently though because you see the aftermath of their relationship changing in this book so if you don't want ANY spoilers for the first book I would suggest reading them in order, but otherwise I was able to read this one without being confused etc about what was going on or who was who in the zoo.

I am looking forward to this series continuing? and will be eagerly reading any new releases from this author.

Ruts / Knotting
BDSM
Grumpy / Good boy

Sweet sweet Copper. Oh, this sweet boy just needed some love and affection.

Cooper is an alpha who tends to like the softer things in life and needs a Daddy in his life to guide him.

Patrick, a jaded bitter alpha who has been hurt in the past, finds it hard to stay away from Cooper.

They have a run in at a local kink club and participate in a scene together. After this, these two can’t help but stay away.

My heart hurt for Cooper though, he required more, he needed true love and affection, someone to guide him and give him structure. He was so emotional all the time.

It was great to see more from Axel and Dylan and the other characters.

Sweet little fox shifter deserves all the love

I absolutely think these two needed to communicate better. I also think Patrick did NOT grovel enough or show his devotion enough, poor Cooper I think is in such a state that he accepts sub-par treatment. I do hope over time that their relationship develops and Cooper at least advocates for himself and Patrick takes therapy seriously. The scene where Cooper was “dropped off” after, kinda haunts me for real. I am glad Axel had his back… literally.

Thankful for this arc

The wait is almost over and it is 100% worth it!

A Daddy for Cooper shines in so many areas, particularly because after reading A Den Mate for Dylan, I think most of us NEEDED to read Cooper's story.

These characters, oh my. They’re so captivating and heartfelt that I got attached to them almost immediately, the kind who are a little messy, very explicitly soft, and who honestly just make you want to give them a hug (several times).

The plot itself is interesting and keeps you on your toes, but it never feels overly complicated or like it’s trying to do too much. Of course, as romance readers, we must suffer a little, and trust me you'll be doing plenty of that, but for the most part I was just happily along for the ride the whole time.

And overall this just hit such a sweet spot for me. The vibes, the dynamics, the emotional moments, it was exactly the kind of mix I love picking up. One of those books where you finish it feeling very fond of the characters and a little bit like you want to check in on them again.

I'll probably be back in a few weeks to re-read this... Oh, well.

Oooh sweet Cooper! I just wanted to hug him. They call him a collie bc he loves to herd his loved ones all together 🥹

This was kink heavy but it was written so respectfully and beautifully. I don’t always love a daddy/boy or dom/sub book. But because I already met Cooper in Dylan’s book, I was so excited for this!

Patrick, or daddy, is 15 years older and is exactly what Connor needs. His little fox. What I loved the most about their relationship was how Patrick gave Connor exactly what he needed- whether it was reading and voice notes, or giving him cleaning orders. It broke my heart how often Connor spoke down about himself.

Loved, loved, seeing Dylan and Axel. The way Axel dropped everything and came to help Connor made me cry. Such a beautiful dynamic between them all.

I had to sit with it for a bit before deciding on stars, because there were probably a bit too many spice scenes for me personally. But I was laughing and crying so much. Really loved it. I did really want more fox scenes! It’s shifter light imo!

At the begging of this I was sad for the little fox because he was hurt and scared but what we saw was the soft side of Patrick the grump that saved the little fox and they became best friends after that.

Cooper wanted to do something diffent with the way of his life style but what or who he found there was not what he was expeting or what he got out of that night either because it changed bother there lives for the better i would say.

Cooper and Patrick found something in each other that they both was looking for but did see that they was ready for one another because they had to go through a lot of emotions and hurt to figure out what they really wanted but in the end it was always meant to be them together.

who would think writing a review would have you cry lol but really.

I was so excited for this book that I devoured it in one evening. I mean who needs sleep anyway...

This story was a thing of beauty, it was so tender and it even made me cry once... just for a minute... while also making me a bit angry, all at the same time 👀 but we don't talk about that part.

Cooper and Patrick turned out to be even more complex than I initially thought, and their character and emotional development throughout the story was a sight to see. Also, Cooper is the sweetest boy, who needs to be protected at all cost.

We even got more shifted time! Seriously, Little Fox was the absolute cutest.

Overall, the story was emotional, funny at times, and deliciously spicy (that Daddy was 🔥🔥🔥), and it definitely became one of my favorites.

*ARC REVIEW*

We’re back in Foxwood Hollow and this time Cooper Bailey is looking for a daddy. Who better than the grumpy cafe owner with the daddy vibes? Cooper is a sweet, submissive alpha who just wants to be taken care of. His caring and loving nature makes him feel like he doesn’t belong. Patrick has a broken heart and feels he can never learn to trust or love again. When they come together with the intent of starting a Daddy dom/sub arrangement, feelings get in the way of casual intent. A Daddy for Cooper is adorable and wildly sexy, and already my favorite read of the year.

I have been waiting for this book for a year. You have no idea how much I hyped it in my head and how I was counting the days until I could get my hands on it. That day was yesterday and OMG, OMG, OMG, IT WAS EVEN BETTER THAN I EXPECTED.

I LOVE how this book happens kind of at the same time with "A den mate for Dylan" because we get to see a different perspective and we kind of like get the bigger picture. We see plenty of Ax and Dylan too. Yuhuuu.

Now I know what happened on the other side of the table at that dinner and YES, YES, YES, thank you.

Patrick and Cooper are so sweet together, oh, so sweet. I swear Cooper made my heart melt so many times and I had tears in my eyes as well when I got go see how vulnerable he was throughout this book.

Patrick went through a traumatic thing with Max and I totally get what he's feeling since I've been there myself, but sometimes I wanted to reach for him and slap him for making my baby Cooper feel like he did.

Their relationship starts in the oddest place you'd expect, but oh, boy, I was here for it. Like... no joking, I was HERE for it.

Their struggles, both individual struggles and as a couple were so valid and I feel like Emory handled that with so much care... she really did an amazing job.

Also, can we talk about the drawings in the book? oh, those were so amazing and such a nice touch. 🥰

This whole book felt like a warm hug, and I am so happy I got to read it. It was so worth the way. I can't wait to do a re-read of both book one and this one cuz yeah, I am in love with this world.

Fingers crossed we will get Jack's story next... I need that marriage in trouble omegaverse edition to happen. I'm starting manifesting 🤭

A highly anticipated sequel for me. I had already loved the first book and its easy dive into the omegaverse, and this was no exception. It was easy to understand how the omegaverse works in this series, which I really appreciated.

This book focuses on characters who were mostly side characters in the first one. I loved getting to know these characters better here, while still getting to see the mains from the first book. The dynamics were enjoyable, and sweet, and funny at times too.

This book has a lot more sex scenes in it, which I also appreciated. They were very hot but also incredibly sweet. If you're newer to BDSM fiction, you might like this as a jumping in point!

Cooper has to be one of the sweetest most adorable character I've read in a long while! Such a vulnerable and fragile soul. When he cried, I cried, my heart in pain for him, it made me so incredibly sad!
I really loved this story and I really loved the dom/sub, daddy/boy with scenes. Cooper really needed a daddy and while I wanted to slap him a few times, his daddy actually was perfect for him.
But Cooper? He was the MVP in the book and in my heart, forever!

Omg this book was soooo good!

I really loved A Den Mate for Dylan, but I think A Daddy for Cooper was even better! This story was the sweetest - I loved the BDSM dynamics, and the relationship growth between Patrick and poor baby boy Cooper. I don’t want to give anything away, but this story tore out my heart in the best way (don’t worry, it all ends well!). Such a perfect romance, absolutely can’t wait for more in this series!

I would give this book a 3.5, it was an OK read. I do love alpha x alpha and am glad more authors are giving it a whirl. The dom/sub dynamic was done well and I enjoyed some of the scenes that took place.

In the beginning, reactions and emotions are pretty standard and made sense, then it kind of devolved. One of the MC's is very hot and cold, and honestly, the other MC deserved better than what he was getting. There should have been way more groveling and work for a better relationship towards the end. It fell flat for me.

There were a lot of loose threads in the story that I felt either needed to be expanded upon or removed entirely, the ending felt rushed like it was missing something. I think if the author removed some plot points and expanded others, it could have been a better fleshed out story.

This is the most sweetest, coziest and beautiful omegaverse with a alpha/alpha relationship.
Cooper is a sweet and shy alpha that's looking for a relationship out of the normal, not an omega, an alpha. Patrick is not looking for a relationship but a sweet sub that wants to be looked after.
I loved this story and read it in a day. Highly recommend.

And the award for the most precious alpha ever goes to… Cooper, who is the most gorgeous little fox, and I love him more than I can say. His preciousness cannot be measured on a scale because he’d be off the charts!

Cooper's such a big-hearted, sweet character, and he's got an incredibly special place in my affections. I think my face looks like this 🥹 whenever I think about this sweet alpha. The image of his little fox curled up in that cat bed never fails to melt my heart, and all wanted to do was engulf him in the world’s biggest hug and never let him go!

Emory does put our sweet little fox (and I) through the emotional wringer in this book though, and it felt like the tears came a calling on every page! I wanted someone to love Cooper for his pure goodness so badly.

And Patrick. Well, he seesawed between doing exactly the right thing, being exactly who Cooper needed, and then making an uber mess up of things. It's very human, these mistakes, but boy, there were times I wanted to have a proper go at him. I was very grateful for Axel and Dylan who kicked his arse into gear when it was needed (and also showed Cooper that they loved and supported him no matter what). How could Patrick believe those things of our darling genuine Cooper! What a numnuts!

When Patrick’s not being an idiot though, he does shower Cooper with the praise and affection he deserved. And he did pull off some very sweet gestures that I melted over. His decisions were led by fear after what happened with his ex, and that led to mistakes that hurt my heart as well as theirs.

I really adored the dynamic between these two in their Daddy Dom/Little Fox roles, and how much the caretaking helped Cooper in his real life. And I absolutely looooved the nicknames, baby boy and little fox, for Cooper – perfect for our gentle alpha. I mean was there any way Patrick was going to be able to keep his feelings at bay when Cooper is just that endearing?

I knew this book would be amazing, but this story absolutely blew me away! I’m all emotioned out! Emory has definitely brought the magic once again for another great book set in Foxwood Hollow. I am absolutely smitten with this world.

Some of my favourite quotes

With his wavy hair that was long enough I’d be able to get a good grip of it and big, round green eyes which begged for guidance, Cooper Bailey was my fucking kryptonite.

“You’re just a little fox who likes pets, aren’t you?”

“What is that, and why is it here?” “It’s good for you, is what it is, now drink it.” “Why is it green?” “It has spinach in it.” “That does explain the green, but it doesn’t explain why it’s in front of me?” “You can’t live off fried chicken. Drink it.”

“Thank you, Sir. That was a really thoughtful gift.” “What can I say? I’m an onion; I have layers.”

Cooper was everything I desired and everything I should stay away from.
Because Cooper wasn’t just the type of sub I loved to dote on. He wasn’t merely the perfect balance of strong and soft. It wasn’t even the fact he was fucking stunning to look at. The problem was that I liked him. All of him.

I wasn’t sure I’d ever ached like this for someone before. In all my years on the scene as a Daddy Dom, I didn’t think I’d ever come across a sub with such a precious innocence to them. Cooper was a diamond among rubble, and I already knew I’d be fucked when this arrangement inevitably came to an end.

Exquisite. That was the word I’d use to describe Cooper Bailey. Absolutely fucking exquisite, and more tempting than water in a desert.

Patrick Morgan, Daddy Dom of my dreams, had a fucking dimple when he smiled, and I was ruined.

“All of this is me trying to say that, if I can show you that I’m not the total wanker I’ve been acting like, and that I’m so fucking sorry for what I said, then I really hope you’ll consider making me yours. Because I love you to bits, Cooper Bailey, and I don’t want to be afraid anymore.”

“You are so beautiful, Cooper. Not just your body, but how you carry yourself and how who you are shines through. I need you to know that one day, when you’re ready, I want to end and begin every day with you in this bed.”

Cooper was too precious for this world, too precious for me, but I was greedy and selfish, so I’d keep him anyway.

“Fuck, you’re amazing. How did I get so lucky?” “I’m just a boy.” “No. Not just a boy. My perfect boy.”

“I’m just a little fox,” “Not just a little fox. My little fox.”

🦊❤️‍🔥 ARC REVIEW 🦊❤️‍🔥

HOLY MOTHER OF PEARLS

I wanted to say the cover alone intrigued me and I knew I was getting into something smutty and BOY WAS I RIGHTT!!!! Holy smokes this was so smutty and I loved everything about this book like AHHH!!! Yeassssssss

However something I wasn’t expecting was how I would cry in parts, knowing it was smutty you’d expect to not cry but I was so so so wrong, I cried a lot!! This book had moments where it stuck my heart, I felt the scenes that made me cry. the writing in this book was so good it made me so engaged throughout and then near the ending it made me so invested I was crying.

Cooper my precious bean I love him with my entire being, all he ever wanted was love, and he had so many things happen that my heart just broke for him and to me I felt a connection with him with how he felt towards some aspects to his life and that really elevated the story for me. And the second half with my boy coop oh boy my Shayla I wanted to hug him. And with him being self conscious of him being an alpha broke my heart and we literally watch him grow to be himself and I loved that so much my precious bean deserves the world and I’m so glad Patrick is there to give that to him.

Patrick. My big daddy Patrick, he also grew on me like the way he was so dominant but then as we read he was more than that he was very caring and so crafted in a way you had to love him and then the one scene happened and it hurt to hear him say that but honestly knowing more about it later and how he felt when he said it kinda made me love him even more like my poor man just wanted to love like coop and be there for him and HIS YEARNING HELLOO!!! Like the yearning throughout “I can’t date you” it’s only the scene aspects grew and feelings happened and the TENSION and the flourishing of feelings between them really had my heart and how they were scared but like ahh they were so soulmates like they had a soul tie most definitely.

And Axel and Dylan my other Shayla’s I’m so glad we got to see more of them like ahh they’re so adorable, and the way Axel was such a freaking angel and such a good best friend to cooper like I really grew to love Axel for everything he did for cooper like AHH WHAT A FREAKING KING/ HOTTIE LIKE YESSSS!!!!

Jack I really hope he gets his happy ending cause my man needs it after what he went though in this book so I hope we see more of him!! And I hope we see more of everyone in this series cause I can’t get enough of these HOTTIES LIKE HELLOOOOO !!!!

This was such a good and phenomenal boook I couldn’t stop reading and I was screaming, melting, and most importantly crying because of how much I loved this book. Los amé muchísimo! 😭 Cooper, my baby boy you're the bestest ever😭😭💖

Venía esperando este libro desde diciembre del año pasado y, en ese entonces, marzo se veía MUY lejos. No puedo creer que me terminé esta historia en menos de 12 horas! 🥹💖

Cooper y Patrick me encantaron.

I loved them so much! 😭 Cooper, my baby boy, you really are the best! 😭😭💖

I’ve been waiting for this book since last December, and back then, March felt SO far away. I can’t believe I finished this story in less than 12 hours! 🥹💖

Cooper and Patrick were incredible. The way their attraction is instant, but their love builds up gradually throughout the story, was just too much for my poor heart😭❤️

I really liked Patrick, though I have to admit I got pretty mad at him at one point because of his attitude toward my sweet Cooper (iykyk)🫵🏻😤 And Cooper? What can I say? I adored him. I was swooning in every single chapter he appeared in (which was the whole fcking book! 😭💖). His shy, sweet, and honest personality won me over more and more (and Patrick too!🤭)

I haven’t read the first book yet, so I don’t know Dylan (Coop’s brother) and Axel’s (Coop’s bestie) story 100%, but I loved how they were exactly the support system Cooper needed. Their scenes together were so beautiful, though I definitely wanted more chapters of Coop and Axel just hanging out as friends🫣🥹

All in all, I am head over heels for this book. I will definitely read everything Emory writes from now on, I’m officially obsessed! 🥹❤️

Daddy for Cooper served ALL the cozy, heart-melting vibes I adore, but served with an extra helping of angst and emotional healing — and I was absolutely here for every single second.

Excuse me while I wrap Cooper in seventeen blankets and never let him go. This guy is sunshine incarnate. Nicknamed a “collie” because he’s always herding the people he loves together- Perfect. A shy, gentle Alpha fox who defies the stereotypical alpha mold? Yes, please. Watching him slowly embrace who he is in a world that keeps telling him to be someone else was tender, painfully real, and 100% relatable. Soft, submissive, and so deserving of someone who truly sees him, Cooper’s internal struggles and rock-bottom self-esteem broke my heart at times. 💛

“It’s okay,” I said.
“It really isn’t. Please raise your bar, Cooper.”

Now Patrick… listen. I’ll be honest — I was mad at that man for a solid chunk of the book (I don’t even feel bad about it, thank you very much). He starts out grumpy, guarded, and fully convinced he’s only here for something casual. Emotional involvement -Not a chance. The dynamic between him and Cooper is intense in the best way though, and slowly but surely he started to win me over. Seeing glimpses of his softer side — especially with the visiting little fox — was ridiculously sweet, and watching him grow, heal, and finally find some peace was really satisfying.

The kink elements added a really interesting layer to the story. They weren’t just thrown in for spice (though, let’s be honest, the spice was definitely spicing 🌶️). Instead, they felt thoughtful and intentional, and they played an important role in the emotional and power dynamics between the characters.

Cooper nesting was just heart-melting, and I loved Axel thinking it might be time to build a proper nest for himself and Dylan, because Dylan’s version was way too small (turns out on purpose).

I also loved getting to see Cooper’s brother Dylan (the MC from book one) through Cooper’s perspective — it added such a nice new dimension to his character.

“I know you like to tie people up. Do you have a cellar? Do you have my brother tied up in your cellar?” Dylan began opening kitchen cupboards like I had Cooper crammed in with my dishes.

Otherwise, you can get in the car and be the man Cooper seems to think you are.”

I loved Dylan and Axel sticking up for Cooper—it honestly made my heart want to burst and cry at the same time.

Bottom line: if you love Omegaverse dynamics, growth arcs, tender feels, and a little spicy chaos, the Foxwood Hollow series is an absolute must-read. I really, really hope this isn’t the last book because I could happily live in this world forever. 🦊✨

I was honestly so excited for this book, and it was absolutely a delight to step back into this world and see how Cooper and Patrick start off and how they end up together.

First, this book is a lot spicier than Dylan, as it involves kinks and kink clubs, so take that into account if you're not a fan of lots of spice. They had amazing chemistry together and I loved how quickly Cooper just slipped into subspace for Patrick; They were wonderful together.

Second, this book is getting a 3.5 from me due to the SERIOUS lack of groveling and the absolute wtf from one character, who honestly didn't deserve that ray of sunshine. One MC dumps the other at home after a particularly severe sub drop; recognizes they abandoned the other and really never apologizes for it. Another time some very HARSH, harsh words are spoken out against the SAME character and my mind was just blown honestly. I would have dropped that person in two seconds and never looked back - But this caused the same character to drop again and go hiding in an abandoned den.

I loved Axel and Dylan in their book but honestly, I didn't love them in this one. I thought they were too nosey and stepped outside their boundaries and contacted the other MC character (I'm trying to be vague here, but you can probably guess what's going on) as one was missing and was found in the abandoned den, shaking and wouldn't come out.

There is a severe lack of groveling in this book which irked me to no end. I liked one character more than the other as he was literally kind of treated like shit throughout the book. He kept getting pushed and then pulled back, hot and cold and even I was confused on whether or not this MC felt anything for the other one aside from being a perfect lil sub. The ending scene confused me too.
Idk. It was cute but... eh. I'm curious if we're getting a focus on the broken-up husbands next as one was featured a LOT in this book.

I also hated Cooper's mom. Wtf WAS that?! WHY ARE THERE NO APOLOGIES IN THIS BOOK.
