Tori lived life on the edge and she didn't need a man to validate her or to make her feel important. "Read the Warning Label First" by BM Hardin

What I liked about this novel...

First of all I enjoyed how this author was able to give us a story that fitted the title so well.
For dear Tori it seems like she has it all planned on the way her life should go...1-2-3... but what will happen we there enters some twist and turns with some very strange characters? Now will it be ...a friend, a lover, and even a sister who will bring on some havoc into Tori's life? It was so good to see that Tori didn't let this take her down being so determined. I loved how Tori's mom tired to help her come out of this dark place by telling her not to running away with her words of encouragement. Now, will Tori be willing to listen and take it all in after all is said and done? Be ready for a story full of 'lies and deceit.' Well.... I will stop here because I don't want to give too much away other than say that this author really knows how to give the reader quite a interesting love story that will keep you turning the pages. One thing that is for sure one may be down for a minute but you can also still rise from it all and good things can happen for you. I loved that ending and I thought that "Read The Warning Label First" was beautifully written and will give you cause to think on this storyline line after the read. The plot and deliverance was well done by the author. The ending seemed a little rushed however, the story still came together very well and omg... I am still caught up with that ending. Very well done by the author.

Wow

This book was good. I have to be honest though. In the beginning the book was kind of slow. It took me a while to get into it but it turned out good. There were a lot twists and turns but this book was really good.

Warning signs

I really enjoyed this book, it kept my attention to the very end.

Tori always looked for signs when it came to figuring out men, she paid close attention to their vibes, until one day the trusting Tristan came into he office looking for a job. Tristan had all the qualities that Tori was looking for, little did she know she was laying with the Devil!! I couldn't believe her sister would betray her that way!! Delilah was a Snake!!

I liked the book, I did find grammatical errors.

Different

I am a member of the Real Divas Read 1/28/2012 book club. I chose this book for our May book of the month. We’ve read many BM Hardin books before, but this one was…different. As always there were twist I didn’t see coming, some made me say “I knew it!” The way one deals with family and love varies from person to person, I don’t know if I could have handled this the same. Cant wait for the discussion!!

Tori knew all of the signs. Not to mention that she was educated and a top level accountant with her own money. After hitting her thirties, she begin to question why she hasn’t found love. Enter Tristin...she knew the signs but was too blind to see them. Would he destroy her? Could she be saved?

Unbelievable twists and turns makes this a book to you can read in one setting.

I know I’m always in for a twisted ride when I read a B.M. Hardin book. I did feel like some more could’ve been wrapped up in the end regarding Tristan but I was content with the ending other than that. This book could’ve also been titled “Trust No One” cause sheesh it was so much dirt being done. If you like drama, Ms. Hardin will typically bring you that and more.

Its was just ok

In normal BM Hardin fashion, it was full of twists and turns. I didn't enjoy as much as the authors other books. It was from the main character's perspective and I wasn't a huge fan

“Read the Warning Label First” is officially the third book by author B.M. Hardin that I have read. Once again I was not disappointed by her work. Despite, in the beginning the storyline lagging in certain places I think it enhanced the impact of when all the major events happened in the book. After finishing this book, I feel that if it were entirely fast paced you would miss out on understanding some of the real life experiences in the book. There were more grammar/spelling issues (>10) than I liked, but it was not detrimental to my overall opinion on the book.

Tristan (Mr. Vindictive): At first you could feel rage for his actions but in actuality it falls to pity. Definition of what happens when neglect and lack of love are in the equation. There are many Tristan’s in the world. Nothing excuses or makes up for the situations caused based on pure emotions and the quest for revenge. Is it worth it when you know that nothing can extinguish the animosity?

Tori (Ms. Gullible): Facades get weakened and broken. Standards and expectations are essential and required at all times. However, settling is never an option despite the journey it takes to get what you are destined to have. Settling tends to lead to ignoring which tends to lead to unhappiness. The world is filled with "Tori's" despite what they portray on the outside. I wanted to be angry at her at first for being so naïve/ blind. However, everyone has had a Tori situation. Maybe not exactly like this one per se but one where outsiders would question your sanity for the decisions being made.

I liked how this ended, and the fact that you can learn/better understand how you can become blinded by what you want versus seeing what you deserve. I now have to go isolate myself for some time to read all of the author’s books.

There were some slow moments for me but I did enjoy this book. Tori found herself seeking certain requirements when it came to finding the right man. Along came Tristan and I was actually happy she had found someone that held many of the qualities she was searching for. After a while things didn't add up for Tristan. There were so many signs for Tori but the love she'd grown towards Tristan really did have her blinded. Now Delilah deserved a beat down for the role she played. She was as fake as they come and it was good knowing Tori didn't trust her too much. As for the lady from the store, I always felt like she was weird and wanted to know her problem. Tristan's revelations were a shocker. Who knew he would go through so much trouble because of things he had no control over! He deserved a lot of labels and was foul for all the pain he caused. Really Cheyanne? Now she was so wrong. For her to feel the need to do the unthinkable was crazy. She was mad for all the wrong reasons. I liked Freeman and the lengthens he went to get Tori's attention. Just when Tori thought she needed a change of scenery things began to change for the better. You can never judge a person based on what you think they may or may not have because the one you overlook could very well be the one for you.

Good,no great read

Just when we think we have it all figured out, someone toss a wrench into the game and toss you off your square. Tori was guarded although to some many may think her standards were too high but that's how you have to be in this day and age. I'm glad she didn't allow her past to disrupt her future , it turned out great for her in the end. Great story and a must read.

This book was very good.
At first while reading I thought it was slow at starting but it makes sense from the begiining of how the author introducted us into the life and character of Tori.
Tori has kept her heart safe until she thinks she meets the man of her life, or has she?

The characters were written well.

The title fits the story line perfectly. This book has drama and twist and turns of events you wont see coming.

Great job author B.M. Hardin

Let your Boaz find you....

Although I would've wanted more from the Tristan/Delilah situation, they really didn't matter after Freeman-Brass came in on a wrecking ball. This story is filled with so much about how women can be blinded by love. A strong woman was nearly taken down by it but after relearning her self worth, she bounced back. Pay attention to the signs! Can save you a world of heartache. Fabtabulous read!!!!

It was ok. It started with alot of dialogue. It was a mushy book. I looked the message, and the twists and turns. They were a little surprising, but I knew the author better bring it. It was good. Everyone hyped the book up. I don't believe it was that much hyped to it. Then again I don't like mushy books. It was better than most mushy books that I read.

Three stars.

I'm not sure how to feel about this book. A lot of the reviewers didn't like the rambling at the beginning, but I quite enjoyed it and added some humor. The twist in the plot had me a little lost and confused. With such a complex twist, the ending just fell a little short. I would recommend this book and will try another one from this author.

Hard lesson learned about relaxing your standards

I guess there is much to be said about being overly judgmental as well. If she hadn't assumed the "birds of a feather" mentality concerning Hunter, she may have avoided the pain she went through. Hopefully, she does a background check on this one.

Good Book

This book was a very good read. It touched on spiritual beliefs and everyday life. I would have given it 5 stars but it had a few errors in it. Other than that I would recommend this book to anyone who loves deep reading.

If you could choose love by reading the warning label would you read it?? To be honest I wouldn't I would just let it happen... That's what Tori did and got knocked off her feet fast and hard. Well written.
