Harlequin (Beyaz Dizi)'den okuduğum ikinci kitap. Bizde "Sihirli Dokunuş" adıyla çıkmış. Beyaz Dizi'ler kitap okuyamadığınız zamanlarda ilaç gibi geliyor. Tavsiye ederim.
Yazarın diğer kitaplarına da bir şans vereceğim. (=
Rumors on the Red Carpet by Carole Mortimer was a fast paced, well written with enough steam to get your pulse racing. The entire plot is about how the hero seduces the heroine and ultimately falls in love with her in a span of four days. While love at first sight is a good concept, it should be believable which it was not and appeared more of lust at first sight to me. Read More
I like Carole Mortimer’s vintage books much better than her new books.
The sex scene is hot and explicit, so that’s why I give it two stars instead of just one star.
What I especially didn’t like in this book is how starstruck the h was in the beginning of the book when she met him. She knew all about him, that he was a powerful multi millionaire and that he owned 90% of the media (which he corrected) and bla bla. She looked like a fan or groupie. It was a bit shameful to read how much she looked up to him because of his wealth and fame.
And what I find unbelievable is that she is a virgin. I’m sorry, but no real 100% virgin climbs on top of a man with her first time penetration and takes his penis to put it inside of her.
She walked around without a bra all the time and she says she also didn’t wear a bra at her work as a waitress. She has full breasts and she waits on people with her boobs swinging everywhere? No way. Well, maybe if she worked at Hooters.
Also there were too many pages written about her male friend who was doing crazy things. I don’t understand why that friend got so much space in the book because they never had a relationship. He was just some male friend.
All in all, it was disappointing because I know from her old vintage books that Carole Mortimer is an excellent writer, one of the best. It seems as if someone else wrote this book, that’s how disappointing this book was.
Disappointing ending. I don't like stories being left up in the air. Especially when it doesn't really have any side stories that can be used as another book. Good characters though.
Bit over the top, but enjoyable enough to read all the way. I liked the woman a lot and the man was an idiot but not bad.
I could have done without the super racist "one of my ancestors was raped by an Indian" thing or as the author termed it: Native American Indian *gags*
I loved how this was such an exciting read without angst and missunderstandings that just gets frustrating and boring most of the time. It was well written with the hottest alpha hero and gorgeous heroine. My only complaint is that I wish it was set on a longer timeframe. I'm not a big fan of instalove. Nevertheless, this author pulled it off in a way that wasnt overly annoying.
