From instantly recognizable celebrities, models, actors, and politicians, to the so-called ?ordinary? people, Portraits presents a stunning collection of photography. The book features the work of such eminent practitioners as Herb Ritts, Patrick Lichfield, Lord Snowdon, David Bailey, Irving Penn, Terry Richardson, David la Chapelle, Anton Corbin, Martin Parr, and Nick Knight, alongside their personal anecdotes and professional tips and secrets. Portraits will appeal both to the professional and to the amateur photographer who wishes to learn from the best in the field, to celebrity buffs and glossy coffee table literature collectors, as well as to the many satisfied readers of the previous two titles in the series, Wildlife and Landscape.
Fantastische foto's met veel informatie van de fotograven over de 'achtergronden' van de foto's (niet letterlijk bedoeld). Ik heb een Nederlandse uitgave uit 2007.
Not all of these photos were my cup of tea, but the behind-the-scenes information was interesting. I liked that the authors included information on how they set up and lit their shots.
