Loved this book. Another beginner's reading book, so it's good for practicing reading and learning some science at the same time. This one kept me fascinated as well. We have a big oak tree out back where the kids swings hang from so this one was more meaningful for us as well. And the next time we go outside, I plan on reinforcing the science lesson by showing them the tree and picking up some acorns and finding some sprouts. Lots of good new vocabulary words like sprouts, oak (good one if you're trying to reinforce double vowel sounds), and shoots. And the pictures were wonderful. They show each stage of the acorn and how it cracks open and starts the roots. Reminds me what an amazing world we have. Both my 5 yr old and I loved it.
