Dastan Iman Faroshon Ki (Tales of the Traitors) by Inayatullah Altamash is series of stories about Sultan Salahuddin Ayubi (known as Saladin in Western World) who fought bravely against the Crusades (series of religious expeditionary wars blessed by the Pope and the Catholic Church, with the stated goal of restoring Christian access to the holy places in and near Jerusalem), imposed on Muslim Ummah by Christians and European Countries. Salahuddin Ayubi was the person who for twenty years braved the storm of the Crusaders and ultimately pushed back the combined forces of Europe which had come to Swarm the Holy Land. Crusaders realized that they cannot win in battlefields, so they woven up many conspiracies against Salahuddin and his Army, using Bribe, Women and Assassins. Salahuddin Ayubi had to fight the Crusaders in the battles as well as crush conspiracies withtin his Army, Companions and Allies.

Biography
Inayat Ullah was born in a Rajput family on 1st November 1920 in Gujar Khan (Punjab Pakistan). This region is known as the martial area because of military recruitment since British rule. The family of Inayat Ullah was traditionally a soldier. In 1936, he passed his matriculation examination and joined British army as a clerk. Inayat Ullah was in an infantry unit of the British army and fought at Burma front against Japan. In 1944, Inayat Ullah was taken prisoner by Japan, but he fled from the prison. After escaped from there, he wandered for two years in the forests of Burma. On his came to India, Inayat Ullah again joined the British army and sent by the authorities in Malaysia to crush the rebellion. On his arrival in Malaysia, Inayat Ullah saw the freedom movement of Malaysia nearly. He knew the rebellions are the freedom fighters. The entire Malaysians people considered them heroes, and they were supporting and backing up the freedom fighters. Inayat Ullah was of the opinion that the Malaysian nation has the right to liberty. He also wanted the freedom of India from the British rulers. At this time, he took a brave and fearless decision. He left the British army and met with the freedom fighters. In meanwhile, the British declared the Indian independence and partition of India. When he knew about this, he came back to his homeland.
On his coming to Pakistan, Inayat Ullah joined the Pakistan Air Force as a corporal. He was the part of the first group of Pakistan Air Force, who saluted the Quaid-E-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah (Father of the nation) on his arrival at Peshawar airport.
In 1965, the war started between Pakistan and India. Now the time started for Inayat Ullah. His spirit of a soldier took him on the borders. He took the pen as a weapon and became a war correspondent. Inayat Ullah was the only one war correspondent who was an eye witness of the war. He met the soldiers and to listen to the stories about the bravery of martyred. Regarding stories and event of 1965 war, Inayat Ullah also wrote some books.
In his career as a journalist, Inayat Ullah appointed as an editor of monthly Sayyara digest. He increased the publishing of the digest. Later, he established his publishing house named “Maktaba Dastan.” Inayat Ullah published a monthly magazine “Hikayat” which became one of the most published journals of Urdu. In these days, Inayat Ullah attracted to the historical novels writing. He wrote some popular historical novels. He also wrote on the topic of hunting stories, investigation, psychology, biographies, politics and social evils. He wrote more than one hundred books and hundreds of editorials. Inayat Ullah used many pen names as a writer like Meem Alf, Iltumsh, Ahmad Yar Khan, Sabir Hussain Rajput, Waqas, Mehdi Khan, Gumnam Khatoon and Inayat Ullah.
As a writer and journalist, Inayat Ullah established his identity. His patronage trained many authors (like Tariq Ismail Sagar) and played a significant role in the promotion of Urdu novels. He was also an asset of Urdu journalism, but he has no value in the circle of Urdu writers. Inayat Ullah disliked the most of the famous journalist and columnist of Urdu due to their preferences. It is the cause that a memorable writer is unable to remember the lines of columns, editorial or in seminars and other literary events.
Inayat Ullah considered the Sultan Saladin Ayubi as his hero. He has died on 16th November 1999 in Lahore, and that was the date of death of Sultan Saladin Ayubi. On the time of death, he was 79 years old. He has buried in Lahore where he lived his last life.

১১৬৯ সালের ২৩ মার্চ। সালাহুদ্দিন আইউবি গভর্নর ও সেনাপ্রধান হয়ে মিসর আগমন করেন। ফাতেমি খিলাফতের কেন্দ্রীয় খলীফা তাকে এ পদে নিয়োগ দিয়ে বাগদাদ থেকে প্রেরণ করেন। তার (দ্বাদশ শতাব্দীর) আগে থেকেই ইউরোপ, ফ্রান্স ও জার্মানি ইসলামিক রাষ্ট্র ভাঙ্গার জন্য ক্রুশ ছুঁয়ে শপথ করে, ইসলামের নাম নিশানা মুছে দিয়ে বিশ্বজুড়ে ক্রুশের রাজত্ব প্রতিষ্ঠার লক্ষ্যে শুরু করে নানা চক্রান্ত। সেইসঙ্গে তারা চালায় সশস্র অভিযান। মুসলিমদের থেকে ছিনিয়ে নিয়ে দখল করে রাখে ইসলামের মহান স্মৃতি চিহ্ন প্রথম কিবলা বায়তুল মুকাদ্দাস।
সালাহুদ্দীন আইয়ুবি ছোটবেলায় গভর্নর নিজামুল মূলক এর মাদরাসায় জাগতিক ও আদর্শিক পড়াশুনা ও যুদ্ধ বিদ্যায় জ্ঞান লাভ করেন। রাজনীতি, কূটনীতি, ভূগোল, ইতিহাস, পড়াশুনা ও প্রত্যক্ষ যুদ্ধ কৌশলের উপর গভীর জ্ঞান ও আগ্রহের কারণে চাচা শেরেকাহ ও নুরুদ্দীন জঙ্গী তাকে স্পেশাল প্রশিক্ষণ প্রদান করেন। প্রশিক্ষণটি মূলত তৈরি হয় এক যুদ্ধের ময়দানে , যেখানে সালাহুদ্দিন আইউবি দীর্ঘকাল আবরোধের মধ্যে যুদ্ধ করেও হতাশ না হয়ে সম্পূর্ণ ঠাণ্ডা মাথায় সৈন্যদের নিয়ে যুদ্ধ করে ফিরে আসেন। এর পরই নুরুদ্দীন জঙ্গী তাকে মিশরের গভর্নরের পদের জন্য মনোনীত করেন।
সুলতান নুরুদ্দীন জঙ্গীও চিন্তা চেতনায় ছিলেন সালাহুদ্দীন আইউবির মতই। সেসময় যেখানে ইসলামিক খিলাফতের সব আমির, গভর্নর, উজিররা খৃষ্টানদের চক্রান্তে পা দিয়ে তাদেরথেকে সুন্দরি মেয়ে ও প্রচুর ধনসম্পদ এবং মূলত ক্ষমতার লোভে ইসলামিক রাষ্ট্র থেকে স্বাধীন হওয়ার স্বপ্ন দেখত, ঠিক তখনই সালাহুদ্দীন আইয়ুবি ও নুরুদ্দীন জঙ্গী ইসলামিক খিলাফত রাষ্ট্রকে ইহুদী–খৃষ্টানদের চক্রান্ত থেকে মুক্ত করে বাইতুল মুকাদ্দাস কে সেই ক্রুসেডারদের থেকে মুক্ত করার জন্য একের পর এক জিহাদ করে গেছেন।
সালাহুদ্দীন আইয়ুবি মিশরের গভর্নর হওয়ার পরই সর্বপ্রথম সেখান থেকে খৃষ্টানদের চক্রান্তে পা দেয়া আমির উজিরদের সুকৌশলে সরকারী দায়িত্ব থেকে দূরে সরিয়ে দেন। এজন্য তাকে মারার জন্য ক্রুসেডারদের দালালরা অনেক ফন্দি আটার পরও তারা ব্যর্থ হয়। দালালরা অনেক সুন্দরী মেয়ে ব্যবহার করেও পাথরের মত সালাহুদ্দীনকে গলাতে পারেনি। যেখানে অন্যান্য আমিররা সানন্দেই তাদের গ্রহণ করত। দালালরা সালাহুদ্দীনকে গলাতে না পেরে তাকে ক্ষমতা থেকে নামিয়ে নিজেরা ক্ষমতায় বসার জন্য মিশরের সেনাবাহিনীর মধ্যে থাকা সুদানি সেনাদের মধ্যে বিদ্রোহ করার চেষ্টা করে এই বলে যে তোমরা সুদানি তারা মিশরি। সুদানের বর্ডার মিশরের কাছে থাকাতে বিদ্রোহের পর সেখান থেকে আক্রমণ করাও সহজ ছিল। কিন্তু সালাহুদ্দীন আইয়ুবি তার চৌকস গোয়েন্দা প্রধান আলি বিন সুফিয়ান কে দিয়ে সব তথ্য আগেই পেয়ে যান । আর খুবই কৌশলে তাদের বিদ্রোহ দমন করেন। এদিকে সেনা বিদ্রোহ করিয়ে দালালরা সম্রাট ফ্রাঙ্ককে আক্রমণ করার আগমনও জানায়। কিন্তু সালাহুদ্দীন আইউবি আগেই বিদ্রোহ দমন করেন, আর যখন পরে ফ্রাঙ্ক এর সেনাবাহিনী আসে তারা পুরোপুরিভাবে সালাহুদ্দীনের কাছে পরাজিত হয়। এই দিকে ফ্রাঙ্ক মিসরে আক্রমণ করলে সিরিয়া থেকে নুরুদ্দীন জঙ্গিও ফ্রাঙ্ক এর দেশে আক্রমণ করে বসেন। তাতে আক্রমনের খবর পেয়েই ফ্রাঙ্ক তার দেশে ফিরে যেয়ে দেখেন সেখানের চিত্রই বদলে গেছে। সব দিক দিয়েই ফ্রাঙ্কের শোচনীয় পরাজয় ঘটে।
অবিরাম জিহাদের নিখুঁত শব্দ চিত্রায়ন “ঈমানদীপ্ত দাস্তান” এ পাওয়া যায়।

অবিরাম জিহাদের নিখুঁত শব্দ চিত্রায়ন “ঈমানদীপ্ত দাস্তান” এ পাওয়া যায়।

I think I was in fourth grade when I read it and we (me & my brother) were really fascinated by it.(Don't know What I understood about all the women and detective things/situations but I remember really enjoying it).

اس کتاب میں سلطان صلاح الدین ایوبی کے دور کی کہانیاں ہیں۔سلطان صلاح الدین ایوبی مصر کا حاکم تھا۔ اس نے فلسطین کو فتح کر کے اسے عیسائیوں کے چنگل سے بچایا۔
صلیبیوں نے اپنی فوج کے علاوہ جاسوسوں کی ایک بڑی تعداد تیار کی ہوئی تھی جو آج کے زمانے میں انٹیلیجنس کہلاتی ہے۔
ان جاسوسوں میں ان لوگوں نے بہت بڑی تعداد لڑکیوں کی شامل کی ہوئی تھی۔ان لڑکیوں کو قافلوں سے یا مسلمانوں کے گھروں سے اغوا ان کے بچپن میں کیا جاتا اور پھر انھیں ان کی شناخت بھلوال کا ٹریننگ دی جا تی۔ ان لڑکیوں کا کام مسلمان حکام کے حرموں میں داخل ہو کر انھیں گمراہ کرنا اور ان کے رازوں کی ریپورٹ عیسائیوں کو دینا تھا۔ یا یہ لڑکیاں شراب میں زہر پلا کر کسی کاقتل بھی کرا سکتی تھیں۔

اس کتاب میں آٹھ کہانیاں تھیں۔ ہر کہانی میں ایک لڑکی جاسوس ہوتی تھی جو مسلمانوں کو گمراہ کرنے کے لیے بھیجی جاتی تھی۔ان کہانیوں میں اس دور کا جاسوسی نظام تفصیل سے بتایا گیا ہے۔

میری تمام مسلمان بہنوں بھایوں سے درخواست ہے کہ تاریخ پڑھیں ۔ ایسا کرنے سے آپ پر انکشاف ہوگا کہ کس خوبصورتی سے آپ کو اپنی ہی شاندار تاریخ سے دور کر دیا گیا ہے کہ کہیں ہم دوبارہ سے غیرت نا کھا لیں۔ صلاح الدین کے بارے میں اور اُسکے اور اسکی سپاہ کے کارناموں اور جذبہ ایمانی کی حقیقی کہانیاں پڑھ کر یقین نہیں آتا کہ کبھی ہم جذبہ ایمانی سے سرشار تھے اور حق کے لیے کٹ مرتے تھے۔ نا جان کی پرواہ نا متاہ کی۔ بس جذبہ تھا تو فتح کا جیت کا۔ یہ بھی حقیقت ہے کہ فلسطین فتح کرنے سے پہلے صلاح الدین کو صلیبیوں سے زیادہ مسلمانوں کی طرف سے مذاہمت ہوئی اور زیادہ عرصہ وہ مسلمانوں سے ہی لڑ کر فلسطین کی طرف بڑھا اور تقریباً ۹۰ سال بعد فلسطین دوبارہ حاصل کر لیا ،صلیبیوں سے۔ اس دوران دُشمن کا مہلک ہتھیار شراب شباب اور زمین تھی۔ قریب ترین ساتھیوں اور اُمرا نے سلطنتیں بچانے کے لیے غداری کی۔ مصر کی فاطمید خلافت کے خلیفہ نے بھی غداری کی لیکن بحرحال فتح صلاح الدین کو ہی حاصل ہوئی ۔ الحمدللہ ۔تاریخ میں مسلمان کی دھاک بٹھا کر عزت اور مرتبہ بڑھا کر صلاالدین ۵۶ سال کی عُمر میں دمشق میں طبعی موت مرا۔

দুনিয়া থেকে ইসলামের নাম-চিহ্ন মুছে ফেলার ষড়যন্ত্রে মেতে উঠেছে খৃষ্টানরা। অর্থ-মদ আর রূপসী নারীর ফাঁদে ফেলে ঈমান ক্রয় করতে শুরু করে মুসলিম আমীর ও শাসকদের। একদল গাদ্দার তৈরী করে নিতে সক্ষম হয় তারা সুলতান আইউবীর হাই কমান্ড ও প্রশাসনের উচ্চতরে। সেই স্বজাতীয় গাদ্দার ও বিজাতীয় ক্রুসেডারদের মোকাবেলায় অরিরাম জিহাদ চালিয়ে যান ইতিহাসশ্রেষ্ঠ বিজয়ী বীর মুজাহিদ সুলতান সালাউদ্দীন আইউবী। তাঁর সেই শ্বাসরুদ্ধকর অবিরাম জিহাদের নিখুঁত শব্দ চিত্রায়ন “ঈমানদীপ্ত দাস্তান”।
'ঈমানদীপ্ত দাস্তান' নিছক কোনো উপন্যাস নয়। আবার নিরেট ইতিহাসও নয়। এটি ইতিহাসকে আশ্রয় করে লেখা হয়েছে। বইটি মোট আট খন্ডে বিভক্ত। প্রথম খন্ড শুরু হয় সালাউদ্দিন আইয়ুবীর মিশরের গভর্ণর হয়ে আগমনের মধ্য দিয়ে৷ এখানে এসেই প্রথমে তিনি পুরো মিশরের চিত্রটাই পালটে দেন অল্প সময়ের ব্যবধানে। তাকে সহায়তা করতে থাকেন আরেক ঈমানদীপ্ত ব্যক্তি, নুরুদ্দীন জঙ্গি। এই পর্বে মিশরের পরিবর্তন ব্যবস্থা নিখুঁতভাবে চোখের সামনে তুলে ধরা হয়েছে।
ইদানীং ইসলামী সম্রাজ্রের উপর ভিত্তি করে ইতিহাস নির্ভর মুভি-সিরিজগুলো দেখার কারণে এই উপন্যাসটা একটু বেশিই ভালো লাগছে।

আখ্যানটি তখনকার সময়ের যখন দেশ-জাতির ভিত্তিতে নয় বরং যুদ্ধ হতো ধর্মের ভিত্তিতে। যখন একপক্ষ ক্রুশ ছুঁয়ে আর অন্যপক্ষ কুরআন হাতে নিয়ে শপথ করত আমরণ যুদ্ধ করার, যত বেশি সংখ্যক সম্ভব বিধর্মীকে মারার। সেই উত্তপ্ত ক্রুসেড বা ধর্মযুদ্ধের মুসলমান পক্ষের সেনানায়ক মিশরের গভর্নর সুলতান সালাহুদ্দীন আইউবীর বীরত্ব গাঁথা নিয়ে রচিত হয়েছে ৮ পর্বের এই বিশাল উপন্যাস যার অনেকটা ইতিহাসসিদ্ধ বয়ান আর অনেকটা লেখকের কল্পনার সমন্বয়ে গড়া।
সালাহুদ্দীন যখন বাগদাদের খেলাফত কর্তৃক মিশরের গভর্নর হিসেবে যোগ দেন তখন ইসলামী খেলাফতের অবস্থা বেশ দূর্বল, তিন ভাগে বিভক্ত হয়ে পড়েছে খেলাফত। অর্থ, বিত্ত আর মদের নেশায় মাতাল তখন বেশিরভাগ আমির। সেই সময় মিশরের দ্বায়িত্ব গ্রহণ করেন তিনি। আরেক ঈমানদার শাসক নুরুদ্দীন জঙ্গীর সহায়তায় দ্বায়িত্ব গ্রহণের পর থেকেই তাঁর যুদ্ধ শুরু হয় একদিকে খ্রিস্টান রাজাদের সাথে অন্যদিকে তাদের আঁতাতে বেড়ে ওঠা গাদ্দার মুসলিমদের সাথে। মদ, নারী, গুপ্তঘাতক, গাদ্দার, গোয়েন্দাদের এড়িয়ে নিজ ঈমানে বলীয়ান হয়ে প্রতিটা যুদ্ধে জয়ী হতে থাকেন তিনি।
যেহেতু এটা একটা ঐতিহাসিক উপন্যাস তাই এতে ইতিহাসের পাশাপাশি লেখকের কল্পনার ছাপ থাকা স্বাভাবিক, আর এটা বইয়ে স্পষ্ট। আবার যেহেতু ইতিহাসও সবসময় বিজয়ীদের কথাই বলে তাই বইয়েও পক্ষপাতিত্বও প্রকট। যেহেতু ইতিহাস হিসেবে সালাহুদ্দীনকে আমার পাঠ করার সুযোগ হয় নি কিন্তু বইয়ে যেভাবে ফেরেশতাতুল্য মানুষ হিসেবে তাঁকে উপস্থাপন করা হয়েছে তা বিস্ময়কর। আবার লেখক যে অবাধ স্বাধীনতা নিয়েছেন তা স্পষ্ট হয় আলী ইবনে সুফিয়ান চরিত্রটি দ্বারা যাঁকে লেখক সুলতানের ডান হাত হিসেবে এঁকেছেন অথচ যে চরিত্রটির ঐতিহাসিক কোনো ভিত্তি নেই। তবে যোদ্ধা সালাহুদ্দীন চরিত্র চিত্রণে লেখক অবশ্যই সফল, আধুনিক গেরিলা যুদ্ধের পথিকৃৎ ঠান্ডা মাথার এক নির্ভূক যোদ্ধার পরিচয় পাওয়া যায় বইয়ের প্রতিটা পাতায়। তাইতো ইতিহাসের অংশ হয়েও বইটা থ্রিলার উপন্যাসের মতো যার প্রতিটা পাতায় যুদ্ধ, গুপ্তহত্যা, ষড়যন্ত্র আর টান টান উত্তেজনা। তো হালকা ইতিহাসের সাথে অনেকখানি থ্রিল পেতে আমার মতো আপনিও শুরু করতে পারেন এই সিরিজটি।

The book "Dastaan Eman Faroshon Ki" is a history book written in the context of Crusade wars and describes the life span, fights and character of the great soldier, commander, and leader of Muslim world Sultan Salah Ud Din Ayobi. He became the Sultan after the death of another great warrior Noor Ud Din Zangi. Sultan Noor Ud Din Zangi also fought the crusade war, but it was the credit of Zangi that he strongly backed the Salah Ud Din to capture the Egypt. Salah Ud Din made to fail the conspiracies of the opponents and defeated them in and out of the battlefield. He fought against the Assassins and took the Almut fort back.
In Dastaan Iman Faroshon Ki, Inayatullah described the tracery of Muslim rulers and their friendship with Christians and Crusades. It also narrated the story of Crusade wars and the victory of Muslims against the Crusade army.
At last, Muslims were victorious, and they took back the charge of Jerusalem city. Salah Ud Din fought bravely to the Richard on the battlefield for the defense of Jerusalem. He gave many cities to the Crusades but not ready to let down for the Jerusalem. Richard, the king of England, forced to go back to his native land without any conquest.

This is my first book I've ever read. Extra-Ordinary i would like to say. A lot to learn from this book. I started world differently after reading this book. This book has all the roots of politics happening in Arab lands and with the Muslims all around the globe. Amazing work by Altamash, the way he represented this historical novel is truly praisable. Though, many historical context differs with western historians. But Altamash says, this events are taken from the biography of Salahdin written by his close friend & his one of the military commander BahaUddin Shaddad, so there is no doubt to believe in it.

Brilliant books, very interesting, truthfully, complete stories, covered all aspects of wars, “Sallahudin from Misr to Palestine”, it also explains Sallahudin’s bravery, war strategies, thinking, his brilliant spying network, love for humanity, and his love for Islam, and how anti muslims and two face muslim generals, commanders and ministers tried to deceive him, and also how muslim Ameers went against him and Islam just for their own selfishness, killing of innocent people by crusaders or Christian kings, were also the topics, how Christian girl and women were used to torn him and his goals apart, how muslim girls were abducted and trained to use against him, his brilliant strategies of using weather, deserts and land against his enemies is also discussed in these books, it also covers few topics on Noor ud Zangi & widow (Razia Sultan) & his kids!!! Superb!!!

It's not history. It's pulp fiction. Keep away from it and get a good biography of Salah-ud-din Ayubi from a proper writer.

বইটার ১ম ও ২য় খণ্ড পড়েছিলাম ২০০৪-২০০৫ সালের দিকে। আমার পড়া প্রথম কোন বড় বই। তবে সত্যি বলতে বইটাকে ইতিহাস গ্রন্থ না বলে উপন্যাস বলাই শ্রেয়। কেননা বইটা পড়তে গিয়ে আমার মনে হয়েছে যে লেখক এখানে ঐতিহাসিক ঘটনার সাথে মনের মাধুরী মিশিয়ে কিছু বানোয়াট কথাও যুক্ত করেছেন। মাঝে মাঝে এমন সব ঘটনা উল্লেখ করছেন যা লেখকের জানার কথা না। তাছাড়া উনি কোন রেফারেন্স উল্লেখ করেছিলেন বলে মনে পরে না। মুসলিম মহলে বইটার ভালই সমাদর দেখা যায়। কিন্তু সত্যিই যদি আমার ধারণা মোতাবেক বইটাতে বানোয়াট কিচ্ছা কাহিনী থাকে তবে বই���া পরিহার করাই ভাল। কেননা আমরা আমাদের পূর্বসূরিদের সঠিক ঘটনা জানতে চাই। তাদের আসল ঘটনার সাথে যদি মিথ্যা মিশ্রিত হয় তবে এক সময় মানুষ মিথ্যাটাকেই সত্য মনে করা শুরু করবে। আর যদি বলা হয় যে উপন্যাস হিসেবে পড়া যায় তাহলে বলব যে এ উপন্যাসও গ্রহণযোগ্য হতে পারেনা যেখানে নারী ঘটিত এমন সব বিষয়াদি উল্লেখ করেছেন যা অন্যান্য বাজারী উপন্যাসের মতই।

I read this series when I was very young and still it’s one of the best historical books I have read in my life … it’s my All time favourite and I can’t count how many times I have revisited it and I recommend it to everyone ….
