The Lone Keeper has an entire world to protect, but that world is about to get a whole lot bigger…
After discovering that his presence in Derelya has a detrimental effect on the ambient energy if he stays in one place for too long, Bax is determined to keep on the move. Forced to go solo after his Party abandoned him, his entire goal is to learn more about the world he is duty-bound to protect, while also attempting to gain the support of the population – all despite being one of the despised Keepers.
On his travels, he stumbles across an individual who is just as much of an outcast as himself. Teaming up, Bax hopes to one day help the new addition to his Party get stronger and potentially even become another Keeper to join him in his efforts to save Derelya from the monsters that threaten it…
…until a Task to defeat a Remnant goes sideways. Despite eliminating the powerful monster, his new Party member is unfortunately killed soon after; in an effort to get her back, Bax accidentally does something that will change the world – and the entire Retrogression System – forever.
This story contains an overpowered main character, LitRPG progression mechanics and stats, and isekai/portal fantasy elements. Contains no sexual content or harems.
MC is now on the move to keep from overpowering the monsters in any one area. He finds a party member and learns that humans aren’t the only ones discriminated against. A political power with a grudge against all Keepers for abandoning the world tracks him down to try and assassinate him and his new party. He disabuses them of the notion but accidentally rips a hole in the fabric of reality letting people from an alternate timeline in and they come as conquerors. The invaders take his party and so he invades their timeline in turn. Their System is different but not in a good way. He power levels his class and makes enemies of an entire faction. He tracks down his party only to lose them again. While heading for them he faces down some leaders of the enemy faction and wins. Now not only are they enemies but the faction will be actively hunting him. Book ends.
The OP continues to be OP. The story is still fun and the pace is excellent. The world gets more fleshed out. I look forward to seeing what happens next. Please enjoy
this second book has gone in a totally different direction, excellent much better than the first book.
If you didn’t like the first book of the series, you will totally enjoy this one. The author threw everything out basically in the first book and took the story in a new direction. An excellent direction it is, new powers, different abilities, different challenges, this story has now grown exponentially to be a lot more interesting. The only issue is MC needs to be more on his peas and cues. Besides that love the direction this book has gone. Don’t let the first book put you off. Please read this one excellent.
Bax it off to a new challenge because of a mistake and that he care for his friends. His planet might be the only one in this universe, but because of his mistake he found another, and those residents wanted more land, so they attacked his world and took his friend. What is a good guy to do but go after them. I like how everyone underestimated him because of his shown level. He was able to find another ally to help him with answers on his quest. I hope he is up for his new challenge.
An improvement over the first but hopefully the rapid power rise means this is only a three or four book series. Since the protagonist can just *splat* any enemy there isn't any tension and with the main secondary character from book one put of of action early there isn't much to say about characters.
Another hit from Jonathan. I finished this one in a single session. I couldn't stop. I wasn't expecting the direction Bax's journey went. The introduction of the new system and new enemies was a twist. I'm still on the edge of my seat to see if this cataclysmic event triggered by Bax will save or destroy the world as he knew it.
I really enjoyed the direction this book is taking the story into. The twist of having a parallel universe and different system was very imaginative and fun to read! This book was a lot better than the first book in the series. Overall, I’m really enjoying Bax and can’t wait for more!
The story line is so OP that it's a standard type thing but it has other OP carters that basically balances it all out so lots of action and twists with different ways of using powers that it makes it interesting to read and follow, cant wait for the next book
An unpredictable sequel. I didn’t predict the direction this book took. The Retrogression System made more sense to me after this book. I enjoyed the MC’s OP nature. I’m excited to see what happens next.
Oh man! What a twist! This was a really cool read, and I hope you'll check it out. It is really hard to give a review of what happens without spoiling anything. You just gotta get in here and find out for yourself.
Bax is trying to adjust to his new reality. He is the only Keeper left and forced to stay on the move. In a chance encounter, Bax meets an outcasted woman and forms a fast friendship. Until she is killed in battle. In his grief, Bax does everything he can to save her, altering reality itself in the process.
This is a great OP MC Isekai litrpg. You can just feel the guilt and loneliness coming off of Bax. He was tossed into a situation way outside of his comfort. The new character is a great addition and I’m interested to see where it goes. Miles Meili did a great job with the narration.
