CeCe and Holden have what is sometimes unusual in the entertainment world: a good marriage. They know how lucky they are to have found each other, and with the recent scare they witnessed best friends Thomas and Lila go through, they're determined not to take any of it for granted. But life in the public eye can come with its drawbacks, and when Holden begins to receive attention from a woman intent on having him, he's no longer sure the spotlight is worth it. CeCe refuses to let another woman's fixation determine how they live. But desire is a powerful force, and when a woman is willing to go to whatever lengths are necessary to get what she wants, the game suddenly has no rules.
Virginia author Inglath Cooper fell in love with reading as a little girl, devouring most of the books in her elementary school library. At some point, she decided she wanted to pursue a writing career, creating romance fiction that did for others what her favorite books have done for her. “I love character-driven books that leave me feeling as if I’ve really known these people and make me wish I didn’t have to turn the last page.”
“Romance fiction has always appealed to me because it deals with so many of the relationships in a woman’s life. Not only the love of her life, but often her relationship with her mother, sister or best friend. Romance authors have so much room to explore many of the meaningful moments and transitions in women’s lives. And who doesn’t love a good love story?”
Inglath most often writes stories about love and life that are set in small Virginia towns like the one where she grew up. “I like to think the flavor of my hometown shows up in my books both in their setting and through the characters who people it.”
When aspiring writers ask her how to be an author, she says, “Everything I know about writing books I learned from reading books.”
Inglath has been chosen as a RITA® Award winner for best long contemporary romance novel given out each year by Romance Writers of America. Her books are available through Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, itunes.com, and Kobobooks.com.
Outside of writing, Inglath is actively involved in dog rescue, working with The Franklin County Humane Society to place dogs and cats in need of rehoming. She volunteers her time in every capacity possible: serving on the Board of Directors, fundraising, photographing dogs and cats available for adoption and serving as a foster home. “Helping an abused or neglected dog go on to have a wonderful life with a family who loves them is more rewarding than I can possibly say.”
I absolutely love this series. My only complaint Is that the books just aren’t long enough since it’s done in parts. I almost wish that I hadn’t started reading it until the series was complete because I’m so hooked now that there is no way that I can’t read one when it comes out.
Part 8 is once again about CeCe and Holden but Lila and Thomas are in it a little. Lyla has almost completely recovered from her heart transplant but Thomas is still afraid to leave her to go out of town. Holden has a number one fan, great right? Wrong! Think Stephen King Misery and that’s the kind of fan that Charlotte is. Yep, she is all kinds of crazy! It’s hard to believe that there are people out there that are like that but I’m sure that they are. This one does end on a major cliff hanger! Hopefully book 9 will be out quickly! Write fast Inglath!!!!
RU Serious: Nashville Book 8 is by Ingath Cooper. Holden has always collected women without even trying. After his marriage to CeCe, he continues to even though he doesn’t try. One woman he attracts is one he would wish he hadn’t. Charlotte Geary starts writing to him on Facebook and Twitter. She stalks him at all his events and has all his recordings. She has caught him at the end of the block while he is walking Hank Junior and tells him she would be happy to come in and keep him company while CeCe is gone. She catches CeCe in a restaurant and tells her she will be taking Holden off her hands when their marriage is finished. Nothing she does is against the law, just annoying. Just how far will she go to get Holden?
The pace picked up in Part Eight of the Nashville series. CeCe was inspired to write a song titled R U Serious after seeing how a persistent fan shamelessly flirts with her hunky superstar husband Holden. The band, Barefoot Outlook is ready to release it on their next album. It's a timely message, as Holden picks up a stalker. Young Charlotte is determined that if only she can get CeCe out of the way, she and Holden can live happily ever after. She feels she deserves some happiness and riches and she's intent on getting what she thinks she has coming to her.
What happens when you're famous musicians with a national fanbase, a Facebook page, and an unbalanced fan who starts stalking Holden both online and in person, and who sets her sights on taking CeCe out of the picture so that she(Charlotte) can marry Holden and can inhabit CeCe's lifestyle? There are plenty of similar real life celebrities being stalked, threatened, and harmed for us to know that you can't make this stuff up! An interesting tale that engages and shocks the reader while exposing the downside of celebrity in great relief!
I enjoyed the suspense in R U Serious. I cried through the last half of book 7, so I was ready for something different, as this was it. I continue to enjoy the series.
All right, Holden has a stalker. I liked that some chapters pictures the stalker's POV but I felt that these 2 couples' stories are ready to be over. Yet, I still want to read the next book. What shall it bring I wonder...
Another great edition to this series. LOL, bad things seems to follow this group, but they are strong enough to get through it. I like how they all stay true to themselves throughout the series and don't let fame and fortune change who they essentially are as people.
I am truly having mixed feelings now about this series. I do like this series and the characters. I like Holden and CeeCee's story more than Thomas and Lila's. I just think they have more chemistry between them. I do like the story, this one is a scary mystery with Holden having a stalker and taking it out on CeeCee. And yes there is another cliffhanger. This book keeps you in suspense, has likable characters and dogs, a pretty good storyline. My reason for not giving it more stars is that I don't know when this series is going to end. Yes when I like characters I usually don't want the story to end, but now we are going on book #9. The first book was free but I've paid for 7 books. They are very short and some have cliffhangers and you have to WAIT for the next book to come out. So it is frustrating to the reader. I will buy the next book, I need the next book to see what happens, but I am not sure how many after I will buy if this series continues to go on and on and on!!
So excited when another part of the Nashville series shows up in my Kindle- RU Serious is back to CeCe and Holden and it was so good. Fame and success is wonderful but with the good comes the bad. They saw the really bad when that fan shot so many people years ago. This part of the series looks into the realm of stalkers especially an unstable woman. Charlotte is obsessed with Holden and I really liked that this book went between the POV of CeCe, Holden and Charlotte it really told all sides of this from the conversations to thoughts in their heads. I seriously wanted to reach in and rip Charlotte's head off...and the cliff hanger ending When is the next book Inglath? I love everything she writes but CeCe and Holden are so special.
I love this series. The characters are quirky and the story lines easy and fun to read. If I had to complain it would be that the books are so short and always end with such a cliffhanger that I have to start the next one straight away. I thought this was the last one in the series so I was happy to start to read the series but it would seem there is another book to come with the way this one finished. That is a little frustrating. Nonetheless the series is great so far
I really love this series and I cannot wait to read the next one. R U Serious is actually kind of scary when you consider the implications that a stalker can have. The young woman that is stalking Holden is creepy. It is creepy that she thinks that she can just walk in and Holden will love her. I found the thought of a stalker incredibly scary. I can't wait for the next installment.
OMG!!!! I can't believe you left us hanging like that!! I can't take those kind of cliffhangers. Awesome book. Each one just gets better and better. Don't make us wait to long for the next book please...
