Listening Length: 15 hours and 4 minutes

The last thing I expected when I found the trespasser bathing in my river was for it to be her…

Daisy Adair has always been my dream girl. From when we were best friends in high school to finding her now.
A gorgeous mother who shows up on my property with three kids in tow.
But I became a recluse for a reason.
The life I chose is full of wickedness and peril. The last thing I need is the object of my every fantasy invading my space and risking her life because of me.
Only when she tells me she’s on the run from her ex, I promise to do anything to keep them safe, even marry her to protect her kids.
That single kiss at the altar rips through every barrier, our passion unleashed.
Now, living under the same roof blurs the lines I’ve drawn.
Each glance of her down the hall and I am splintering.
Each brush of her hand and I am brought to my knees.
Our future—bright, hopeful, and almost within reach—hovers on the edge of becoming real…
Until we discover the threat surrounding her is grimmer than either of us imagined.
Now I’m fighting to save her and her children before our second chance at forever is burned to the ground…

Welcome to a small town where tall, tattooed MMCs hang around the house barefoot, wearing low-slung jeans and fitted white T-shirts. Where the “door-frame lean” is NOT just a casual move — it’s a whole LIFESTYLE. Their favorite position? On top of a motorbike… or on top of the FMC.

Listen. It wouldn’t be an A.L. Jackson book if I didn’t cringe or roll my eyes at least six or seven times. It is what it is… and I’m still absolutely devouring it. Because NOTHING resets my brain better than top-tier dirty talk delivered during very detailed, very intense scenes. Add a classic damsel-in-distress moment and a single-parent trope? Say less. My evenings are fully booked.

The books are written in a very similar style — after reading at least two of them, you know exactly what to expect. And I’ll keep reading every single one she releases for as long as she keeps writing them. That’s a promise.

I don't know about you, but I am not ready to say goodbye to the boys of Moonlit Ridge, but if AL Jackson is forcing me to say goodbye, our favorite reclusive grump getting his happily ever after is the best way to go out. When I tell you I have been so patiently waiting for Cash's story like the good girl I am. And it was truly everything I wanted and so much more!

If you have read the Moonlit Ridge series, then I am sure you have always been intrigued with Cash's story because I know I have. I have always wondered why is he the way that he is. Who broke him so irrevocably that he felt like he needed to be a reclusive grump who lived in solitude and could not open up to others. And you guys are not read for his story because OMG, it was everything I wanted and everything I never expected.

Cash and Daisy met as teenagers and became best friends to only be tragically ripped about just as they were on the brink of bliss exploring their feelings for one another. Their tragic past life experiences molded them to who they are today. With Cash being a part of a secret society, Daisy found herself in a relationship with a man who is not who she thought he was. She now finds herself divorced on the run in order to save herself and her three children. And the only one she feels the safest with is her childhood best friend and protector Cash. In attempt to protect herself, she finds herself in Cash's backyard pleading with him to marry her and adopt her three children for protection.

Ugh, when I tell you this plot was so amazing! We got the background with flashbacks in both Daisy and Cash's POV that lead up to their tragic pasts. We got all of the missing pieces as to why Cash is the way that he is. We say Cash in a much different light. We were able to understand him and why he is the way that he is. We watched two souls, two best friends and two people who have such deep love for one another finally break down their walls and find their true bliss. Their HEA is a hard fought one but it is so worth it. And there are no two people who are more deserving of a love like theirs.

And in true AL Jackson, this one is a romantic suspense, so there is an underlining tone of what is to come with this book. Which honestly is one of my favorite things about a romantic suspense. AL Jackson does a really amazing job with keeping that suspense alive and well throughout the whole book til you get to the plot twist. And I will say, I am pretty good at figuring out the plot twist, and yes I did have a feeling on how this one would twist but one of the involved individuals with the twist had my jaw on the floor! It was too good!

You should most definitely read this book if you like:
- Romantic Suspense
- Secret Society
- EX MC member
- Single Mom
- Heroine in Peril
- Fake Marriage
- Grumpy x Sunshine
- It's Always Been You
- Mutual Yearning
- Childhood Friends to Strangers to Lovers

*I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to AL Jackson and Valentine PR for allowing me the absolute pleasure to read On the Brink of Bliss as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions and review.

Cash & Daisy

Our mountain recluse who speaks in grunts was who I was most excited for, favorite MMC vibes.

Daisy:
Single mom of three
Shy vibes
An awful ex husband

Childhood best friends.

As with this series, there’s danger, sovereign sanctuary business, violence, and a man with a very troubled past that doesn’t think he deserves love.

Cash with her kids was 😍
Big grump melts

Did not see the twist at the end coming.
I almost never do with this authors books 🤣

Loved seeing all the big bad biker men altogether.

On the Brink of Bliss by A.L. Jackson

Oh my god, I absolutely ate this up. This was my first A.L. Jackson book, and I’m officially obsessed. This is romantic suspense done right, it’s emotional, tender, intense, and completely immersive.

This is the final book in a series of interconnected standalones, and even jumping in at the end, I was fully invested. I will 100% be going back to read the rest because this story made me feral in the best way.

Cash and Daisy’s story was beautiful, aching, and incredibly swoony. Second-chance romance, forced proximity, and marriage of convenience blended perfectly with danger and suspense. What stood out most to me was the found family, not just between the main couple, but with the children too. The way Cash cares, protects, and slowly lets himself hope again completely melted me. It was emotional without being overdone, sweet without losing the edge, and full of heart.

And the audiobook was Incredible. I’m a huge Samantha Brentmoor fan, and she absolutely delivered. The narration added so much emotion, tension, and depth to the story.

This book gave me romance, suspense, found family, and a deeply satisfying love story. I was hooked, invested, and didn’t want it to end. I will definitely be reading more from this author.

Thank you to Valentine PR for the gifted ALC.

Wow. What a way to end such a dynamic series of characters and the most heartwarming found family.

Daisy escapes her corrupt husband and seeks solace in the only place thats ever felt safe, with her childhood sweetheart, Cash. The recluse hacker of Sovereign Sanctum has a blast from the past when Daisy shows up and isn’t prepared for what she’s asking for. Daisy wants Cash to marry her in order to protect her three children in case her husband comes for her- which Cash thinks will be irrelevant because he plans to end her ex before he even gets that far. When push comes to shove these two wind up in close quarters and realize the spark that was there so many years ago is still burning very bright.

The slowest burn with the hottest reconciliation!! 🔥 Cash and Daisy were both such complex characters that truly had to allow the other to love them in the way they always had. I loved seeing Cash bend for Daisy and her unwavering trust in him was such a change of pace from the prior books. I loved these two and this was quite possibly my favorite of the series.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Thank you so much to AL Jackson for this beautiful hardcover ARC to complete my series. I feel so eternally grateful to have been a part of the ARC team for this series and I can’t wait to see whats up next! 🖤

First Impressions
On The Brink of Bliss is the finale in the Moonlit Ridge series and what a finale. This book had me on the edge of my seat and I never wanted to put this one down. I was very curious to see how this book would be written because this featured the one hero in the whole series that is the most tortured and mysterious and a bit of a lone wolf. We get to see the secrets that he has been hiding and the way in which he has been tortured all of these years and his past connection to the woman that he loves and her children who steal his heart.

First Line
"Tell me she's okay," I could feel the rage coming off Silas as he spoke from the other end of the line.

The Main Protagonists
The Hero: Cash
The Heroine: Daisy

Summary
Cash is a man that lives a tortured life, just barely surviving and trying to be the support his group of friends need him to be but he struggles being too involved with them as he doesn't feel worthy to be a part of them. But when he finds a young woman and her three kids camping on his land he is in the shock of his life because this woman was once his best friend and the only woman he ever loved and knows that he can never make up for the past that is connected to hers and he holds secrets. But Daisy is in trouble, and she needs a protector and someone that will take care of her children in case the worst happens to her. Will Cash be able to let go of his past to embrace his future with Daisy and her precious children who are stealing his heart...

What I Loved
This story utterly captivated me and its no surprise to be honest. I never know what to expect with this author even though she writes with very similiar plot aspects. I still fell hard for this one and I was grateful that the ending and connection between them didn't turn toxic like some of hers can. There is such trust and honesty between these two. Their chemistry is powerful and magnetic and you see how drawn Chase is to her children who literally have him wrapped around their fingers. We see flashbacks from their friendship as teenagers. And I was in love with the heroine being more on the shy end. I feel like we don't see shy heroines in contemporary romance as much as we used to. And she felt so authentic and real. She is a bit of a wallflower and I loved seeing her truly come into her own strength. It felt true to her character and she doesn't turn into something that doesn't make sense. The romance was delectable. Seeing them rebuild trust with each other and really fight for each other despite the pains of the past. And I truly admired the heroine in how she reacted to the truths of the past that the hero keeps from her. You see how unconditional her love for him is and how she never blames him for it even when he reveals the difficult choices he has made.

What I Struggled With
Nothing much. Not a fan of the flashbacks too much though.

Narration
SPECTACULAR!!! I loved the rich storytelling that these two captured and the they dig deep into the emotion and the lyrical style of this author storytelling.

Overall View
On the Brink of Bliss was sensually vivid, emotionally gripping and tugs at your heartstrings in the most splendid of ways!

I just finished listening to this 5 star read and I cannot stop thinking about Daisy and Cash. Cash has been the biggest mystery throughout the series. The quiet one who doesn’t form attachments and is never seen with girls. We all knew there had to be a story behind it and there’s not just a story but one particular girl. So when she shows back up in his life with her kids in tow, it’s only a matter of time before his carefully constructed walls come down. Especially when she asks him to marry her to protect her kids from her scary ex.

I loved how their past and present weaved seamlessly together and we got bits of the heartbreaking past that tore them apart as they were coming back together.

Seeing the sovereign sanctum family accept Daisy and her kids immediately and without question warmed my heart especially given that Daisy never really had girl friends in the past. Not to mention all the kids becoming instant besties. Seriously so precious.

I am so sad to say goodbye to this perfect ever growing found family but I don’t think she could have ended their interconnected story lines any better than she did. This is a series I highly recommend for anyone who loves secret society, small town romance, close knit friends, adorable kiddos, possessive morally grey heroes and heart pounding suspense balanced with equally heart pounding spice.

Thanks so much to AL Jackson for providing me with this gorgeous ARC and ALC.

#Review: *On the Brink of Bliss* - A.L. Jackson - ARC/ALC [18+]
4.8/5✨
3/5🌶️

Daisy had one thing on her mind: to keep her three children safe. So, the only person she thought that could offer that protection was Cash, the man she never stopped loving, but the one who left her behind. Everything was completely different now but the feelings never disappeared. How will things turn out for them this time around?

Arghh!! This story was completely nerve-wracking!! I loooved all that suspense regarding Daisy's story and that mystery regarding her past and what happened exactly that pushed her to runway. The heartbreaking story of Daisy and Cash melted my heart, because what they had was so sweet and innocent, but only one decision has changed everything. I really liked this second chance romance and the way they rediscovered each other in their new lives. Cash wasn't the most open guy, because his heart was full of pain and regrets, but he knew very well how to protect the ones he cared about. Daisy and her three adorable kids were able to shift something in him and made him realize that he couldn't just leave them down. Can I say how darn adorable those kids were and how cute they acted around Cash? It was sweetness overloaded!🥰

The audiobook definitely made me live this story at another level, feeling all that uncertainty and suspense stronger because of the amazing narration by Sean Masters and Samantha Brentmoor. They were simply beautiful and super expressive. Just perfection!

This was the perfect way to end this series, being happy with how this book ended and elated for what's about to come. Why? Because Amy has given some hints in the end of this story which made me so curious and excited about her new era!🥰

4🌟, 3🌶️

This book completely swept me away before I even realized it.

On the Brink of Bliss pulled me in so easily, and even though it is the final book in the Moonlit Ridge series, I never felt disconnected. The emotions felt immediate and real, and I was fully invested in these characters and their world. It had that quiet intensity that keeps you turning pages without even realizing how attached you have become.

Cash and Daisy’s story was tender, heavy with history, and filled with longing that never truly faded. Their second chance, mixed with forced proximity and a marriage of convenience, created so much emotional depth while the suspense kept everything tense and engaging. What made it truly special was watching Cash slowly open his heart again, especially with Daisy’s children, and seeing him rediscover hope and belonging. The ending moved quickly, but the emotional payoff and final revelations still felt meaningful and earned.

More than anything, this story felt like healing. It was about finding your way back to love, to family, and to a place where you finally feel safe. Saying goodbye to these characters was bittersweet, but their journey ended in a way that felt satisfying, hopeful, and right.

I will absolutely be reading more from this author after this.

So… this one was a mix for me :/ Cash’s backstory and past timeline are definitely the highlight—teenage Cash, before tragedy struck, is magnetic and heartbreaking, and the yearning between him and Daisy is absolutely addictive. That part of the story kept me hooked!

Daisy's character is just ok. And I get her desperation and need to protect her kids, but I struggled a bit connecting to her. Some of her decisions feel like huge asks, and her personality is timid in a way that doesn’t always land with me. Their chemistry in the present is decent, but at times it feels like it’s built on fear and obligation more than passion

The writing is fine, but some of the dialogue feels a little off. A lot of the romantic lines between any of the characters sounded over-the-top, and the interactions between his friends and their wives? It felt a bit forced and unrealistic. Also, I wasn’t into the Sovereign Sanctum stuff— some of it came across as tacky and didn’t add much for me

That said, the book is still entertaining. There’s enough mystery, danger, and emotional stakes to keep you reading

Thank you to Valentine PR for the opportunity to read this ARC 💕

Daisy & Cash were best friends when they were kids. Their relationship was slowly developing into more but then Cash had suffered a tragedy and left Daisy behind. Now all these years later, she found him and needs his help. I loved the flashbacks so that we could see the history between Cash & Daisy. Honestly, my heart was broken for Cash. He had such a promising future then something tragic set him off on a different path. He would do absolutely anything for Daisy which now extends to her kids too. I loved seeing him soften towards her 3 babies. He didn't think he deserved love but he got that and so much more. This one was full of heartbreak, angst, longing, twists and turns and I absolutely ate it up.

As always, I loved the suspense and part of it caught me off guard! I loved this group of people so much! I hate that it's over but excited to see what's next.

🎧Audio:🎧
This was a dual narration by Sean Masters & Samantha Brentmoor. Sean was perfect as the broody, closed off Cash. Samantha was phenomenal at voicing all the different kids and women at once. I was impressed. The audio was sooo good!

If I could, I woukd rate this book a million stars! Amy has given me the story I have been waiting on this entire series. Cash getting his HEA is everything to me. That man had stolen my heart from the second he was introduced in the first book of this series. I absolutely love a story that consumes me and Amy does it every time!

This story is Cash and Daisy's story. Cash is that morally gray character that is in a secret society and he will leave you melting in a pile of goo. Cash is everything and more!
Daisy is a single mom on the run and looking for the only person she knows will keep her safe.
Cash and Daisy have the soulmates vibes going on in this book! I could feel the chemistry coming off the pages of these two. The love these two have can travel space and time. Nothing was going to keep them apart.

Sean Masters and Samantha Brentmoor absolutely slay with dual narrated audio. Sean has the best voice and I could not have imagined anyone else for this story and as Cash's voice. He has that commanding and gruff voice that is always so sweet to my ears. Samantha brings the sweet guarded voice that is spot on for Daisy. Something about the way that she can make you love a character through her voice. One of my favorite things about her is the way she does the male voice in the chapters she reads.

I am so sad to leave Moonlit Ridge. This series has been a favorite of mine and I have been in bliss since the beginning.

Okay, this might be my favorite and I definitely love how this series wrapped up with Cash’s story! He’s so grumpy and I am a sucker for a grumpy mmc! But despite that, seeing him soften up for Daisy and her kids had me melting inside! They’ve both been though a lot in the past, but I loved the glimpses of their friendship from back then. So much chemistry between them and I loved every minute of them together.

The audio is performed in dual by Samantha Brentmoor & Sean Masters - I love both of these narrators and couldn’t get enough of them! I think they were the perfect choices for Daisy & Cash!

What to expect:
💜single mom
💜fake marriage
💜grumpy x sunshine
💜mutual pining
💜small town
💜found family
💜secret society

This can’t be the end 😭

I really loved this book though, as sad as i am for this series to come to a close, I think that Cash’s story wrapped it up so nicely! I loved Cash and how grumpy he is, but how that soft spot for Daisy and now her kids was there from the moment she returned to him. Daisy is such a strong character and I really admired how she would do anything to keep herself and her children safe. I loved the chemistry continually growing between Cash and Daisy and seeing their friendship come right back really made you realize that their connection is much stronger than either of them realize. I loved the suspense, loved the plot twist, and just loved everything about their story and think that the angst and longing really kept me interested and made me not want to stop reading! Cannot wait to see what AL has in store for us next! 🥹

5⭐

oh the way i missed A.L. Jackson's writing. she know how to write most tortured souls. The way her mmc's pine after the fmc's.This book was so good. this is the 5th and the last book of the series.

Cash was the grumpy and brody one of all of them. he was always alone and lonely but one day he found a trespasser bathing in his cavin backyard is non other then daisy. his first love and the only girl he ever loved. Daisy is such a strong character. she is fierce and protective when it comes to her childrens and The love these to have for each other is so precious. i finished it in one setting. The way she make you fall in love with her characters. you start to care for from page one 😩😩. I love this found family.

The narrators of the book sean master and samantha brentmoor did such a good job to bring life to these characters.

I was lucky enough to get both arc and alc of the book. Thank you A.L. Jackson and valentine pr for the opportunity 🥰

A. L. Jackson never fails to deliver, and I am absolutely floored by this one! Cash and Daisy are the perfect couple to end this series on, even though I'm sad to say goodbye to Moonlit Ridge. The dual timeline and POV were perfect to show the complexity of their history - from best friends to kinda more to strangers and back to more. The chemistry is unmistakable and cosmically magnetic. Daisy's 3 kids? Absolutely precious. Cash tries to resist, tries to keep his walls up - but there's only one person he never could say no to. He vows to protect her and them - and there's nothing or no one who's going to stop him from keeping that promise. Once again, you will not predict the twists that this story takes! It's definitely a rollercoaster ride! I'm still reeling from it - and the narrators! Samantha Brentwood and Sean Masters truly gave these characters that extra life and had me completely enraptured every single second, from beginning to end.

2,5 ⭐️ It supposed to be a fake marriage, but when marriage happens around 75% into the book it is no longer fake which is the whole point of this trope. You could probably put in into the epilogue and effect would be the same. Also Ethan is the stupidest romantic suspense villain ever written. And I have no idea why on earth this book has 600 pages.

WHAT A FINALE! Perhaps my favorite from the series! I have been waiting for Cash’s story since the beginning of Moonlit Ridge, and this final installment delivers in every way. On the Brink of Bliss feels like the book this series has been quietly building toward all along. It is emotional, grounded, suspenseful, and so effortlessly romantic. Another deftly blended heart-lifing romantic suspense and such a beautiful, tender, and emotionally rich finale to this series that's my all time favorite from AL Jackson.

FINALLY CASH'S STORY. I've been feral from day one. And Cash and Daisy’s history runs deep, shaped by friendship, loss, guilt, and a love that never really disappeared over the years. Their second chance unfolds through a dual timeline that works beautifully, revealing who they were as teenagers and how one devastating moment changed everything. Those glimpses of the past add so much weight to the present day story, where Daisy returns after years apart, guarded and desperate, with her children and real danger closing in. Cash does not hesitate. Protecting her is instinctual for him, even though he believes he is too damaged to deserve happiness of his own.

What surprised me most was how tender this book is. There is real suspense threaded throughout, but the heart of the story lives in the quieter moments. Watching Cash with Daisy’s kids completely unraveled me. Seeing this guarded, isolated man soften, step into responsibility, and begin to build something that feels like a home was incredibly moving. Seeing Cash step in as protector, finding his humanity again and CRAVING that human connection? My heart. The marriage of convenience element only heightened the tension, blurring the line between what they are pretending and what they have been denying for years. SO MUCH DENIAL. But I also love how quickly that starts to unravel.

The chemistry between Cash and Daisy is undeniable, but the burn is slower, letting the longing and emotional intimacy simmer. Their connection is layered, and honest, and so wholesomely sweet. When the story finally pivots and the truth comes crashing in, the twist hits hard and shifts everything at once. I did NOT see that coming. And it made the final stretch impossible to put down. Everything does come tumbling out pretty quickly (my one gripe is that the ending just feels a little too fast with SO much ish itting the fan and so much to marinate in), but the twist was epic. What a shocking finale!

The found family aspect of this crew sparkles. Seeing them all come together and also how the ending unfolded was a great way to leverage the crew and give us some closure. I just love how they all show up for each other in the good and bad, protecting and supporting one another, which is why Moonlit Ridge has felt like such a special place to return to again and again. Saying goodbye was bittersweet, but this story closes the door with care and intention, while still opening a window toward what comes next. AND I AM SO EXCITED FOR THAT

The audio was fantastic, and I was pretty giddy when I found out my favorite narrator voices Cash. Both are perfectly cast here. Samantha Brentmoor and Sean Masters bring so much depth and emotion to these characters. Sean’s portrayal of Cash captures his restraint, his quiet intensity, and the softness he keeps buried beneath the surface. Samantha gives Daisy a soft strength that feels both gentle and unbreakable. The vocal chemistry was great and really leveled up the intimacy, tension, and emotional moments that made the story even more immersive. I've listened to all on audio and highly recommend.

On the Brink of Bliss is a powerful, heartfelt ending to Moonlit Ridge. It is a story of healing, finding home in a found family, and the power of a love that survives time, pain, and fear. Cash and Daisy’s journey is desperately swoony, and beautifully hopeful, and it left me both wrecked and grateful. I am sad to leave this world, but I could not have asked for a better goodbye.

OMG! I couldn't have asked for a better ending to a favorite series by A.L. Jackson! It was bittersweet, but to have Cash, our mysterious and quiet protector bringing this series to a close was perfection.

Having read the previous 4 books in the Moonlit Ridge series, I had been anxiously waiting for Cash to get his HEA after all of his "brothers" had found their little piece of happiness in their dark world. But it seemed like Cash shied away from any interaction that would have him connecting to anyone, even his Sovereign Sanctum family. But when his past comes to his door, everything begins to make sense and we get to see Cash in a whole new light.

On the Brink of Bliss follows the recluse Cash and single mom Daisy who have a past that connected them when they were teens. They were each other's best friends until tragedy struck, tearing them apart. But when Daisy needs help, she knows only one person that she can trust. But what will she do when the boy next door she once knew is now a man that lives by his own morally grey set of rules?

"I would never harm you...But I would kill for you."

Right from the start, you could feel the tension between Cash and Daisy. It's intense and filled with longing. Their backstory only added to their emotional and physical chemistry that exploded right off the pages. While their attraction is very evident, their relationship is a bit of a slow burn, making the tension so palpable that you could cut it with a knife. But what really had my heart? The way Daisy's 3 kids had Cash, the "Big Grumpy Giant" in the palm of their hands. Those kids added another layer to Cash that melted my heart. Who knew that the quiet recluse would come alive with 3 kids and their mom by his side?

"Mine to love. Mine to protect. Mine to have"

As with the previous books in the series, Jackson intersperses a bit of the past with the present to build on the overall suspense of the story. She does this flawlessly, until worlds collide, bringing the suspense, the romance and the whole cast of characters from the past books together in a darkly poetic way, filled with love and action. I love the way the found family all comes together for each other and only added to my overall enjoyment of this story and this series in general.

If you like:
Small Town
Romantic Suspense
Single Mom on the run
Morally Grey Heroes
Second chances
Childhood friends
Fake Marriage
Found Family
and the best cast of supporting characters,
Then you MUST read On the Brink of Bliss!

This book and this series are utterly addictive with characters that love hard and work for the HEAs. I will miss this world and all of the characters, but am excited for what's to come in the next Jackson series (that we get a little sneak of here). Bring it!

Infinity stars! I never wanted to leave Moonlit Ridge, but this was the perfect way to go!

I've been dying for Cash's story since we first met him early on. A recluse that talk in grunts, and often stays far away from even the family that he found himself in...I just knew his scars were deep. As always, Amy took us on the most amazing journey of heartbreak, healing and deception. I thought I had it figured out close to the end, but she once again threw me for a loop that I never ever saw coming!

The way Amy intertwines past and present is truly a gift. The connections she forms between these main characters, the found family, and the adorable kids that even the grumpiest, toughest men can't help but turn to putty for keeps me enthralled in her books page after page. Cash's story was a long one, but it gave me everything I needed to leave Moonlit Ridge fully satisfied after I devoured it.

Cash, Daisy and her kids were truly something special. I was NOT expecting past Cash to be who he was, and it broke my heart even more knowing who he once was and what he shared with Daisy. The way he was with her kids when they first found him. UGHHHHH. literally swoon so hard. And that switch that flipped with that first MY WIFE!!!! I'm still in a puddle.

::TLDR:: This is the perfect ending to Moonlit Ridge. Cash, Daisy and her kiddos are truly something special. The found family shows up in the best ways and you can feel love and acceptance between every single member of this crew. Who's ready for a Moonlit Ridge re-read?? Just me?

On the Brink of Bliss is the final book in the Moonlit Ridge series. And WOW what a finale it was👏🏼 I was not at all prepared for this story. Cash and Daisy’s broke me then put me back together.

This book gave fiery tension, heart melting moments between Cash and Daisy’s kids, and suspense that kept me on my toes. I loved every minute of it!

Cash & Daisy had both been through terrible things. Trauma separated them as teenagers right when they were on the brink of something good. And now years later Daisy found her long lost best friend to help her in her time of need. And what she needs is a husband & Cash being an absolute simp for her, he can’t say no.

My heart physical ached at the fact that these two lost so much time. It was clear they were fated to be together it just took a bit for the universe to give them their shot.

Oh Cash, my sweet broken man. I love that Cash finally got his HEA. He deserved so much more than he let himself have, but Daisy showed him things could different.

My review for this could be really long because there were so many things I absolutely loved about this story.

So if you love a second chance between two childhood best friends, a grumpy morally grey mmc and incredible tension. Read this book!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ - over the moon happy with the conclusion of such a beloved series 🌙

“My Little Wallflower…”
“There’s one thing you can be certain of. You are safe here with me. You don’t have to be afraid.” 🌼 -On the Brink of Bliss by AL Jackson

My “Moonlit Ridge” loving heart is not ready to say goodbye to these characters or this series. I’ve developed quite the emotional attachment from book one, “From Here To Eternity” to now book five, “On the Brink of Bliss”. A.L. Jackson has created a found family of the most beautiful, charismatic, loyal, loving and caring people I’ve ever read about. An element that I love most about this series is that they would do anything for each other. All throughout the series we have seen little glimpses of Cash, he’s mysterious and quiet but they love him all the same.

This final book is Cash and Daisy’s story. A story of unconditional love and perseverance that began when they were young. I adored the way Amy wrote the multiple timelines and POVs in a way that made me care about all of it with so much intensity and emotion. Witnessing the character development of Cash, a terrifying man who kept to himself become someone who believed he was worthy of love and happiness brought me absolute joy and peace. Daisy runs to Cash when she is in trouble and she couldn’t have ran to a more perfect man than the man she has known since childhood. But she isn’t alone and what she needs from him isn’t a small request. I won’t spoil how this goes down but if you love the single-parent, heroine on the run, childhood friends to lovers, morally grey hero and found family tropes then you must read this series!

Narration by Sean Masters & Samantha Brentmoor was absolutely fantastic!!! These two together were perfect for these characters!!

What to expect:
💜Fake Marriage
✨grumpy/sunshine
💜Single mom
✨Roommates to Lovers
💜Found Family
✨Morally Gray MMC
💜Heroine on the run

My thoughts:

This book was so good!! I was quickly hooked and it didn’t let me go!! This story was emotional, intense, yet romantic & so swoony!!

Cash & Daisy’s relationship was everything!! Second chance, forced proximity, and so much tension between these two! This one was beautiful, dangerous, and the perfect amount of suspense to keep you sucked in!! This book has the most amazing found family. Between Cash & Daisy, but also wth her kids. Cash was a top tier man!! He was slowly shedding his tough shell enough to let them all in & start to open himself up, but still kept his edgy protective side that made you love him more!

This is the last in the Moonlit Ridge Series and even though I haven’t read them all, I was fully invested in this one!! I’m so excited for what is next to come! The set up left me so ready for the new series!! 🤭😍

If you’re looking for a great romantic suspense that’s going to keep you wanting more. This is for you!!!

On the Brink of Bliss is a riveting conclusion to the Moonlit Ridge series. I have loved every book I've read of AL Jackson's and I'm glad to add this to the list of books I've finished in a day! I couldn't put it down!

On the Brink of Bliss is one of those books that you have to unravel and I was so invested in finding out what happened next. Daisy and Cash have a past that is expanded upon with flashbacks to their teen years, leading up to a life-altering event that caused their separation. Years later when Daisy turns up troubled with her children in tow, Cash is more than willing to do whatever it takes to keep them safe. I loved the storyline and suspense. The plot twist reveal at the end was epic. I can't think of a more perfect ending and the epilogue will have you feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.

Tropes:
✨️ Single Mom
✨️ Grumpy/Sunshine
✨️ Found Family
✨️ Mutual Pining
✨️ Small Town
✨️ Dual POV
✨️ HEA

“It’s you and me, Daisy. Us. Forever. Because once I have you, I’m never letting you go.”

Note: you don't have to read the previous books in the series to enjoy this BUT you'll see previous characters. Trust me, you will love seeing them in the future. The found family in this series is the best.

Thanks so much to AL Jackson for the gifted copy!

Stop everything because A.L. Jackson just absolutely shattered my heart and put it back together again! On the Brink of Bliss was a total emotional wrecking ball and the most riveting, high-stakes conclusion to the Moonlit Ridge series. I devoured this book completely unable to pull myself away from Cash and Daisy’s world. Cash is the ultimate broody, mysterious recluse. He's the perfect morally grey protector who is all sharp edges and dangerous secrets until Daisy shows up at his door with her children in tow. The chemistry between them is pure fire! It’s a slow-burn tension that builds until you’re practically vibrating, making every stolen glance and protective touch feel like a literal explosion.

The way their story unravels through past and present flashbacks is pure artistic torture in the best way possible. My heart bled for the tragedy that tore them apart as teenagers, and watching Cash, the man who thought he didn’t deserve a soul, soften for Daisy’s three babies had me sobbing. It’s an intense, suspenseful ride filled with yearning, raw angst, and a plot twist that left me reeling. That ending and the epilogues? Absolute perfection! It gave me all the warm, fuzzy, found family feels I’ve been craving since book one. If you want a romance that is equal parts dangerous, spicy, and soul-searingly romantic, you need this book!

What a way to end this series! I’ve been craving Cash’s story since book 1. I have a thing for a broody, mysterious recluse and it certainly delivered! Loved this series so much and Amy saved the best of last! Cash had a lot to overcome as did Daisy. Best friends since they were teenagers until tragedy tore them apart and boy did it! I loved them and how much they loved each other. The kids were the cutest! Amy always writes the best kids! Found family, banter and spice were top tier as always! Gonna miss these Sovereign Sanctum men but happy they’ll pop up in the next series!

On the Brink of Bliss is book 5 in the Moonlit Ridge Series, but can be read as a standalone. It’s the first book I have read in the series, and it certainly won’t be the last…now I have to go back and read the first 4 because I’m hooked!

This book had my complete heart and soul. It’s absolutely one of my favourite reads so far. It’s a long one, but I couldn’t put it down! It’s full of mystery, suspense, romance, spice, trauma and heartbreak. Cash & Daisy are now one of my favourite book couples. The love and yearning for each other throughout the story was so intense, it’s like you were there and you could feel it!

The flashbacks to when they were teenagers really shows how Cash wasn’t always a “grumpy giant”. He used to be funny and full of whit. Then tragedy happened and it changed him and their lives fell apart. But having Daisy and her three adorable kids show up on his land several years later needing help, brought his softer side back out and we got to watch this damaged man begin to heal.

The spicy scenes in this book were on fire! They were so intense, you could just feel all the heartache, emotions and love. Amy really made these scenes so descriptive and vivid, I just couldn’t stop reading! Absolutely some of the best love scenes ever written in my eyes.

And that ending….I knew something big was going to happen, but I wasn’t expecting all of that! I predicted a couple of things, but wasn’t able to put it all together until the end. What a way to end the Moonlit Ridge Series! Be sure to read the Bonus Chapter that Amy posts at the end of the book!

Thank you A.L. Jackson and Valentine PR for the opportunity to read this and give my honest opinion!

On The Brink Of Bliss is the fifth and final book in the Moonlit Ridge series. The audiobook is narrated in dual narration by Samantha Brentmoor & Sean Masters.

I am not at all surprised by how much I loved this one. I had been anticipating Cash’s book since the beginning. There is just something about a grumpy recluse that just does something for me. Especially when we get to see that grump interact and open up with the FMC kids. So sad this series is coming to an end, but excited to see what is coming next!
