Sally is a self-confessed player and party girl. Her life revolves around fun nights out, casual encounters and no emotional attachments other than with her best friend and colleague, Becky. When she is faced with a ghost from her past – Gareth – all the walls she’s carefully constructed around herself fall apart, revealing old wounds she thought had healed a long time ago. He wants a second chance, and she’s shocked to find that maybe she’s not as over him as she would want. Meanwhile, her current suitor, Becky and Sally’s charismatic manager, Mark, is keen to take their casual relationship to the next level.
Sally’s uncomplicated life is about to become very messy indeed.

*** L. Moone - Happy Endings for Underdogs
I first started writing and publishing in 2012 because I craved to see more of "my kind of books" on the shelves. In any scenario, you'll find me rooting for the underdog. The (emotionally) scarred hero who hasn't really had much (or any) luck in love. The shy office worker who wants to pursue the man of her dreams, but hasn't quite mustered the courage yet. All my characters are beautifully flawed and messed up, in a way that makes them perfect for one another.
By the way, since 2015, I also started to write Paranormal and Fantasy Romance as Lorelei Moone. Take a moment to browse all my books, because there's bound to be something you'll enjoy.
*** L. Moone used to publish under the pen name "Hedonist Six" before 2019. Older titles are likely still showing up under this old pen name.
Sally doesn't do relationships, especially because eight years ago she was left burnt. The experience left her a cynic and believed that if she was to love again that it would only lead to more hurt and she couldn't take that pain again. This experience left Sally, a no-strings-attached type of girl, and it worked for her as she found plenty of men who just wanted to be laid and didn't want the pressure of a relationship. Her current no-strings is with her boss Mark, and things were going well until everything seemed to come crashing down around Sally. Her ex Gareth had turned up eight years later with an explanation of what happened those many years ago when he left her, and her current beau Mark wants to turn things into a relationship as he wants more. Mark though has a secret identity; he has a thing for dressing up as a woman known as Megan. What will happen when Sally meets Megan? Will she accept Mark for both of his identities or will it freak her out as this wasn't what she signed up for? Find out in this contemporary romance where sometimes romances have a way of figuring themselves out and that sometimes we all need a little push in the right direction to realize that what we do want is a commitment with a particular person. If you are in the mood for a quick romance, read then check out Sally by Hedonist Six today. For those who haven't read any of Hedonist Six's books, she is famous for writing stories where the characters find true love in the most unexpected places or situations.
Ever since having her heart broke in a brutal and devastating way Sally is determined to never let another man close enough to cause the same damage. She keeps her entanglements casual and short which is why the arrangement she has with her boss Mark suits her needs.
Life as she knows it comes to a grinding halt when Gareth, the man from the past who broke her heart, re-emerges back in her life and not only does he want her back but now Mark is no longer content with the casualness of their liason. Between the secrets of her past and the secrets yet to be exposed her carefree life is starting to look like a soap opera.
Humor, heat and a few things you don’t see coming as Sally must decide what she can accept in the present and what she wants in the future.
3.7 for Sally. This was an interesting read that had a strong female character which I loved. Secrets are revealed over time and some that are share will have you speechless. This is a rather quick read and I do want to know more about these characters as well as the sub ones too.
****An Advance Reader's Copy of Sally by Hedonist Six was generously provided to me via the author herself in exchange of honest review.
This is the first book I read from this series. I already have Rebound List but I haven't had a chance to read it until I gt this book and I just can't resist the cover!
Sally's an independent girl with strong heart and strong mind. Too bad her past's catching up with her when finally had a new "interest" and now she's confused. Back with a man of her past, or start a something new with someone she didn't expect to?
I liked Hedonist Six's style of writing. It's simple and I finished this book for about an hour. It's as easy as that, and my first language is not english! I enjoyed it. But this book, personally, is too short! As much as I love Sally, I didn't really connected with her character. I want to know more about her, and I wish Hedonist Six give me those details. The plot is good, I hate Gareth (gosh he's a dick!) and the plot twist with Mark? Pardon me but it's not satisfying.
I'm wowed, really, by the twist. I was like, what the heck?! But once again, Hedonist Six didn't include the reason WHY Mark become what he become. You know. Is it because he's kinky? Or scarred by the past? Or just because he loves it? Hedonist Six didn't elaborate more and to be honest, it made me desperate to know more! The story went too fast and the ending is way too abrupt. I wish this book could be a bit longer.
But overall, I enjoyed it! 3 stars, because I'm not satisfied but I'm soooo gonna read Becky's story, right after this! :)
Sally is a woman who had her heart broken in the past, and now, she refuses to have any relationships, as now she's become quite the cynic when it comes to men. Now, in order to keep her heart safe, she's all about the no strings hook ups, and there are plenty of those type of men out there. Her current hook up is her boss Mark, and it was going well, until a blast from her past come crashing into her life again, to cause a great deal of chaos. Gareth is her ex, and he's back with a reason for breaking her heart, while Mark wants an actual relationship with her, so Sally is all kinds of confused. This story is a short(ish) story that had plenty of heat, but I didn't really imprint on Sally, and maybe it's because of the length, not sure really, but that's how I felt. There are even a few twists in the story which had the f-bombs dropping, while some angst came into play when Gareth showed back up. So, will Sally choose either of them, or decide she still wants to be single?! You'll have to one click on her story to find out! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
So far, I've read a great majority of Hedonist Six's novels and each one is more captivating than the next, empowering women to the point that when you read her stories you feel yourself become part of it. In this book, we meet Sally, a woman with a whole lot of baggage when it comes to her ex, but still has a bubbly and exuberant personality, and her boss, Mark. Although her relationship with Garrett is supposed to be over, she realizes that her feelings aren't as easily forgotten, especially when her boss is actively trying to woo her.
4 breath taking dreams
Alongside her best friend, Becky, Sally's antics and situation were so incredibly believable that it was easy to place myself and a best friend in these two. I loved how Hedonist Six made them flawed, not without their own issues and going through what any other woman would go through after a break up and getting back on the dating scene. These are women who rely not only on their friendship to make it through their hard times, but also on their romantic relationships in the hopes that the men will be there to support them no matter what. It's another great read for me from this author and I always look forward to her releases.
Sally does not do relationships after essentially being left at the altar with no explanation as a very young woman. She has a casual sexual relationship with Mark, her boss, but he is now wanting more after her ex reappears wanting to talk. There are major secrets in this story. I definitely didn't see Melody coming. Interesting twist.
Sally was a short read with an unusual twist at the end. I believe that this book features characters from another of this author’s book which I haven’t read but saying that I completely understood what was going on. I did enjoy the story, it was fast paced and a good plot however I was a little surprised by the twist at the end – I’m not sure how it fitted into what had already happened in the story. I found it harder to connect with the characters because of it being a shorter story and I wonder if I may have benefited from reading the Rebound List first. I did like Sally though, I thought she was a funny, down to earth character who was happy to enjoy life the way it was – it’s not until a little further into the story where I started to understand exactly why Sally was so reluctant to move her relationship with Mark. I have read a few books by Hedonist Six and one of the things that I really enjoy is how real the characters feel. Although I may not have connected with the ones in this story it still enjoyed reading it! If you are a romance fan and are looking for a short read with an unusual plot twist then I recommended this book!
•Secrets Sally doesn't want to settle down ever. She is content with partying and having one night stands. Then she's bombarded with a ghost from her past {Gareth} that she's not sure how to handle. Her manager Mark, on the other hand adds additional stress to her growing anxieties by wanting to take their casual relationship further. To find out how Sally deals with this love triangle you'll have to read SALLY. Although I enjoyed this quick read, the storyline won't be for everyone, but then no book is! *This novella is a stand-alone follow-up to The Rebound List, which focuses on Becky's journey. Both books can be enjoyed out of order.(directly from book/Author*) I've now read both books and I'm glad I started with The Rebound List, only because it gave me additional background information. However I do agree that both The Rebound List and Sally are standalone stories. This book uses British/UK spellings and references. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book via IndieSagePR for an honest blog tour review. Due to explicit sexual content and situations this novel is recommended for readers 18 and older.
This is the story of Sally, who was mentioned in The Rebound List, and her boss Mark. Both have secrets that they're keeping from one another. While Sally has to come to terms with her past, she also must come to terms with Mark's secret.
This is a quick read and I enjoyed it. I certainly didn't expect Mark's secret to turn out to be what it was but I loved that Sally was so open-minded.
While Becky from The Rebound List makes appearances in this book, and her relationship with Alex is mentioned, I feel this could be read as a standalone. It would be easy to follow along without really feeling like you're missing anything.
I actually liked this book more than The Rebound List. If you read that one and enjoyed it, you'll most likely enjoy this one as well.

This is a short read, about Sally and her boss Mark, both whom have secrets that they are not telling each other. Sally is an independent and strong-headed woman who has come to terms with her past, but during the story she must do the same with Mark and his secret. No spoilers here but I will say I was not expecting Marks secret!!
This is the first book that I read in the series and it worked out well as a standalone book. I would recommend this title to anyone who likes to read a romance story that has twist and turns, a unusual spin on the romance itself and involves facing your past and ghosts and dealing with them as they come to light. One can relate to the story because it seems more real and life-like, it was a good story!

This is the first book I have read by Hedonist Six. I was very surprised at the twist and turns. Sally is a very independent woman, she knows what she wants and goes after it. Mark!!!! I won't say to much " no spoilers". He is her boss and I would call him her boy toy. Sally has secrets of her own, but Mark has a BIG secret. You want to know what it is? Get the book you won't be disappointed I can assure you. I will be reading more by Hedonist Six she knows how to grab your attention and keep it. (Disclosure: I received a free copy for my honest review)
The only reason I gave 4 stars and not 5 was because of some editing issues. They did not take away From the story, I just had to ask myself did I read that right

A short read about a headstrong independent woman determined to leave her past and her old self behind, Sally is a fresh twist on a regular romance story. Faced with a ghost from her past, her world becomes unbalanced and she risks losing the life and identity she has strived to build. How she confronts her past and comes to terms with her present is what this novella is all about.
Written in a first person narrative with dual perspectives gives a great insight in to the thought of the main characters. I am glad that writers such as Hedonist Six understand the need for real life love stories with real life characters that one can relate to. I look forward to reading other titles from you.
I received this book free in return for an honest review.
Let me start by saying that this is the first time I have reviewed a book that I received in this way, so apologies if this is rambling nonsense.
"Sally" is a quick read, I read it in a morning and while there are a couple of typos in the copy I had, they did not detract from the story, the pacing was great, and the change of POV was clear, (something that I struggle with in many books) the characters were instantly likeable and the drama that unfolded was realistic in as far as any fiction should be. An interesting twist towards the end with the inclusion of a 'new character' allowed for what turned out to be a lovely if slightly too sweet finale. I will be looking at some of this authors other works now.
In true H6 fashion, this book goes well above and beyond your typical erotica novel. The characters (who you will recognize if you read her previous book, The Rebound List) are imperfect, down-to-earth, and have skeletons in their closets. I genuinely felt sorry for Sally for most of the book - we start out knowing *something* traumatic has happened to her in the past, but it takes a while to find out exactly what. By the end (and after a plot twist I could never have imagined), she turns out stronger and more lovable than ever. I'd love to read more books about these characters.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review. I really loved this book. Secrets keep Sally and Mark from revealing their true selves to each other. Sally wants to keep the relationship light but Mark wants more. What happens when both of their secrets come out makes this an awesome read.
