Jude Kensington is the playboy of Pembroke Hills Country Club and the last person I expected to be living with this summer.
Charming flirt. Billionaire bachelor. And my friend who once kissed me during a night neither of us can remember—or forget. But before things could get complicated, a surprise showed up on his doorstep.
A baby. His baby.
With no clue how to care for an infant and me in search of a place to live, we strike a deal: I’ll help him survive fatherhood, and he’ll give me a place to stay. Temporary. Convenient. Totally platonic.
Except nothing about this arrangement feels simple. Not when I’m rocking his daughter to sleep. Not when I catch him watching me like I’m something he can’t have. And definitely not when I remember exactly how it felt to kiss him.
Falling for Jude was never part of the deal. But the longer we play house, the harder it is to pretend I don’t want to be more than friends…

BIG thank you to Kat Singleton and Team Kat Singleton for sending me a PR package filled with goodies and a special edition ARC! More than Friends will be officially published on March 24th, 2026!
This was hands down one of the easiest 5 star ratings that I could ever give out! I knew I was going to love Pembroke’s resident flirt. The way that I was foaming at the mouth for Jude and Charlotte's book from book one. And let me tell you something, this book delivered everything I wanted and so much more. But at the same time it was also nothing that I expected. I'm not exactly sure what I was expecting, but this one over exceeded my expectations.
Jude Kensington is such a flirt and we love him for that. He has such a fun, flirtatious and youthful personality. And while you do get that in this book, we also see a very different side of Jude as well. A more vulnerable side. And I have to say, I love his vulnerable side the most. The way that this man captivated my heart with his vulnerability with Charlotte. And the way that Charlotte handled his vulnerability with such care. Can we also talk about how Jude is a legit daddy. And he delivers all of those delicious daddy vibes with his grey sweatpants and slutty little glasses. Dear lord. Someone come pick me up off the floor but I'm a damn puddle.
Honestly, I absolutely adore Kat Singleton and this one is delivering everything that we love about her. We had a fantastic billionaire who is gone for that one woman who steals his heart. We have several chapters that will make you sweat, although this one will make you work for it. With this being a friends to lovers, Jude and Charlotte will fight their attraction and battle with whether or not it is worth ruining the friendship for. But baby, these two do in fact RUIN THE FRIENDSHIP and when I tell you, the scene when they finally cross that line has be bound and gagged on the floor. The way that I was a blushing, giggling school girl kicking my feet the whole time I was reading. Ugh just thinking about it is making me blush. But yeah, this one is THE perfect example for ruining the friendship and becoming MORE THAN (just) FRIENDS! 🫠
Kat, I love you so much. Thank you for delivering another perfect 5 star banger! I can't wait to read the next book in this series!
You should most definitely read this book if you like: - Billionaire Romance - Friends to Lovers - Single Daddy - Forced Proximity - Roommates to Lovers - Age Gap
* I would like to say a HUGE THANK YOU to Kat Singleton and her team for allowing me the absolute pleasure to read More Than Friends as an ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts, opinions and review.
Jude and Charlotte’s story is the sort you read in one sitting, because it’s so good that, honestly, you don’t want to put it down.
What can I say about them? They were perfect. They were born to be together. Jude, it’s so OBVIOUS, my love, you, me, Kat, we ALL know you’re head over heels in love with Charlotte; you’re the only one who doesn’t want to see the obvious. And Charlotte, my darling, let yourself be loved by that perfect man with that perfect, beautiful baby. You deserve it; you deserve all the love you give.
Thank you for writing this story Kat; I can’t wait for the next one.
5⭐️ 2.5🌶️ 💜Friends to Lovers 💜Billionaire 💜Single Dad 💜Forced Proximity 💜Reformed Playboy 💜Age Gap 💜He Wears Slutty Little Glasses 💜Dual First Person POV
is all the good vibes, loaded with swoony and heated moments you want in a friends to lovers romance. Nobody writes a spicy billionaire romance like Kat. I have been waiting for Jude’s story ever since we met him in In Good Company last year and it did not disappoint. The banter and shameless flirting had me giggling and the tension filled slow burn was maddening! Jude and Charlotte met when Lucy and Cal started dating a year ago, with Jude’s easy flirting Charlotte immediately put him in the friendzone. They became closer in the off season when everyone else was back in the city. After a tough day Charlotte shows up at Jude’s with wine. One bottle turns into three leading to an almost kiss and very heated stares. But, the next day everything changes when a woman shows up with a four month old baby, Jude’s baby. He wants nothing more than to be a good father but feels like he’s already failing when he can’t get her back to sleep the first night. Charlotte and Jude are finding it harder and harder not to be more than friends. They tell themselves that now Jude has Ava, they can’t pursue anything, but that doesn’t last long. Especially when Jude starts wearing his glasses and walking around in grey sweatpants. Their chemistry during the sweet moments will have you swooning and the spicy moment will have you blushing. The balance between the sweet and spicy moments is perfection.

“I win because I get to love her and be loved by her. She’s my best friend. My love. My world.”
I am OBSESSED with daddy Jude and devoured this book & audio! Jude and Charlotte are so perfect for this friends to lovers vibe and the attraction has always been lingering the background. But when they both can’t ignore it anymore, I was loving every minute! And sweet little Ava, I love how Jude does not hesitate to be the best dad that he can = instant swoon!
𝐀𝐮𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤: The audiobook for this is performed in duet by Megan Wicks and Jason Clarke. I think these two were the perfect casting for Charlotte & Jude and they both brought this book to life! I loved how the emotions came through with certain scenes and I couldn’t stop listening!
Huge thank you to Kat Singleton for allowing me to receive an arc in exchange for an honest review
rating: 4 stars
More Than Friends follows Charlotte, who has been working at Pembroke Hills Country Club and is close friends with Jude Kensington, a billionaire playboy. Charlotte is abruptly kicked out of her current apartment and is looking for somewhere to live when Jude offers her a room at his house. Jude has recently found out is a dad, and he has no idea how to care for an infant. Charlotte ends up agreeing to live with Jude and also helps him to care for his new daughter, Ava. They strike a deal where they remain friends, purely platonic friends. But the longer they play house, the more their feelings for one another slowly start to unravel.
This book was very cute, and I enjoyed all the characters involved. Jude, Charlotte, and Ava were the cutest little family. I already couldn't wait for Jude's book, but I was so much more hyped for it when I found out he was a single dad.
"What if I liked the glasses on?" OH MY GOD. Jude in gray sweat pants, no shirt, and sluttly little glasses. I think Kat wanted me to crash out.
This was a quick and easy read, and I can't wait for you all to read this book!
I had the pleasure of receiving this as an e-ARC and voluntarily will be giving my honest review. I absolutely devoured this book! I love the chemistry between Jude and Charlotte they were destined to be together. They went from friends to lovers as they were friends first and their relationship grew stronger with baby Ava. This was such a phenomenal story!!

This series keeps getting better and better. I don't remember Jude much from book one, but the moment his F-Boy persona was mentioned in book 2, I knew I was going to fall HARD. It is always the reformed ones that have the softest hearts, and I was obsessed. From the moment Charlotte and Jude had their first interaction, I fell in love with their dynamic. Friends-to-lovers isn't normally my go-to trope, but theirs was done so well.
One thing I really, really enjoyed about this story was seeing Jude truly fall in love with his daughter. So often, parenthood is portrayed as something that, while magical, is also the biggest sacrifice in the world...and it is. But it is also something that you truly cannot comprehend until you are in it, and I think we really got to experience that with Jude and Ava, and it felt really special.
The duet narration by Megan Wicks and Jason Clarke was also PERFECT I love them both so much, and when they work together, you know it is gonna be a knockout.
Overall, this may be her best work yet. I loved it! And getting to see all her characters from Black Ties as well as Pembroke, it was a lot of fun.
“Now, home is the place I want to be the most, because home is not only my daughter, but it’s Charlotte too.”
Gosh was it a dream to be back in Pembroke Hills & finally get Jude’s story!! And dare I say they might be my new favorite friends to lovers story!!
Jude and Charlotte were always destined to end up together but their journey was even more rewarding to watch because they were best friends first, so their relationship felt so natural. I think because they had such a solid and special relationship as friends it made their relationship feel so authentic. And the way sweet Ava baby was the missing puzzle piece to pull these two together was just the sweetest. The three of them just made the most adorable family together!!
Tropes: 💜Friends to lovers 🤍Forced proximity 💜Single Dad 🤍He wears slutty little glasses 💜Spicy
This is probably my most favorite book of the series. Who doesn’t love an age gap, friends to lovers trope and especially when the male character wears glasses!! Jude was everything. He liked to flirt a lot, but he always had feelings for Charlotte. Their chemistry was the best. They could joke around, be bossy and know that they were always there for each other. Charlotte has the biggest heart and loves to help Jude, especially for the surprise that shows up! I’m so happy to see recurring characters and can’t wait to see what happens on Jude and Charlottes future! Thank you for the advanced copy.
Kat Singleton is the definition of a comfort author for me. I know every single one her books are going to deliver and make me grin from ear to ear. More than Friends was no exception.
A twist on the single dad romance trope (the woman he had a ONS with literally drops his 4 month old daughter on his doorstep and leaves), there was SO much to love about this one!
Between the Hamptons setting and the best friends to lovers dynamic, I was in heaven with this one.
The spice delivers (as Kat always does). I loved this one!
asdfhhjk- another 5 star read from kat!! i was patiently waiting for jude & charlotte's book ever since i read in good company (book 1) and it did not disappoint! they were literally so meant to be, i cannot!!1!
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧• jude kensington literal daddy vibes?? umm hello? slutty lil glasses + grey sweats combo = i'm dead. lol. him being head over heels in love with her but refuses to confess because he's worried that it'll ruin their friendship.. i loved how he stepped up soo fast and he's literally the best dad to ava too!!
⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧• charlotte mitchell i loved how she was so considerate when jude was going through it. she was literal jude's day one and i wanna be her!!! i also liked that she literally stepped in and helped jude with ava when she didn't have to? and she was so patient with him too!!
ps. once i reached ch36, i couldn't stop?? iykyk

Billionaire baby fever & one very dangerous “just friends” deal
4.5 ⭐️ | 3.25 🌶️
Kat Singleton really said “what if we take friends-to-lovers, add a billionaire playboy, throw in a surprise baby, and trap them in a house together all summer?” and honestly… I ate it up.
More Than Friends, the third installment in the Pembroke Hills series by Kat Singleton, was my first taste of this world, and now I’m wondering why it took me this long to visit Pembroke Hills.
I was already familiar with Kat Singleton’s writing style thanks to the Black Ties & Billionaires series, but this book still managed to surprise me in the best way.
Our FMC, Charlotte, is a 24-year-old bev cart girl working at an elite country club, quietly chasing a dream of becoming a photographer. After seeing the Hamptons in a magazine, she takes the leap and moves there, hoping to build something new for herself. She’s independent, warm, and quietly resilient; the kind of heroine you root for instantly.
Enter Jude Kensington.
Country club playboy. Billionaire-in-the-making. Professional flirt. The kind of man who can have any woman with a single look… except Charlotte, who seems almost immune to his charm. And naturally, that drives him a little crazy.
Their connection starts innocently enough: best friends by association as their respective best friends fall in love. But after a series of unfortunate events for Charlotte and one very alcohol-influenced night, the line between friendship and something more blurs when they share a kiss neither of them can quite forget.
And just when things start to feel complicated… life drops a bombshell.
Jude discovers he’s the father of a four-month-old baby girl.
Suddenly the carefree billionaire bachelor has a crib in his house, bottles in the fridge, and absolutely no idea what he’s doing. That’s where Charlotte steps in. She needs a place to stay, he desperately needs help surviving fatherhood, and so they strike a deal.
Temporary. Convenient. Totally platonic.
Except… nothing about playing house with your billionaire best friend and his baby feels simple.
What follows is a slow, tension-filled evolution from friendship to something deeper. These two spend so much time pretending they don’t feel what’s clearly there that you’ll want to shake them (and then hug them) at the same time. Their dynamic is layered with longing, hesitation, jealousy, and the kind of emotional intimacy that makes the eventual payoff feel so satisfying.
And listen… Jude Kensington when he gets jealous? Absolutely feral.
The protective energy. The barely-contained possessiveness. The quiet “she’s mine” tension simmering beneath the surface whenever another man so much as breathes near Charlotte? Delicious.
But what really made this story shine for me was the emotional core. It’s not just about romance; it’s about learning to accept help, building unexpected family, and realizing that sometimes the people who feel safest are the ones who end up meaning the most.
The found family vibes are strong here, and Jude’s journey into fatherhood adds a softness to his character that balances perfectly with his confident, teasing personality.
And the baby? Absolutely stole the show.
Overall, this was such a warm, swoony, emotionally satisfying read. It’s sweet, a little messy, full of tension, and packed with those quiet moments that make a romance feel real.
Huge thank you to Valentine PR for the e-ARC, and congratulations to Kat Singleton on the upcoming release of More Than Friends on March 24th. I’ll definitely be going back to read the first two books in the Pembroke Hills series because I need to soak in more of this world.
If you love: friends-to-lovers tension, billionaire heroes who secretly have hearts of gold, surprise babies, forced proximity, protective jealousy, and found family vibes… this one should absolutely be on your TBR.
Just be warned: once Jude Kensington starts looking at Charlotte like she’s the one thing he can’t have, it becomes very hard to stop reading. 💙📚
Thank you so much to Kat Singleton & her team for providing me with an eARC/PR ARC of More than Friends in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I’m usually pretty eloquent with my reviews but please allow me to screech for a moment—JUDE KENSINGTON I WAS UNAWARE OF YOUR YEARNING GAME!!! Also—Jude being flirty? HOT. Jude yearning and being jealous?! IM ON MY KNEES KAT!!!! Anyway.. back to your regularly scheduled programming.
Number one, I was so unexpectedly emotional at this story. It could be because I, too, have a 4 month old daughter (though, I came into her much differently than Jude LMAO). But seeing him immediately take to Ava and loving her endlessly immediately, had me so shattered and emotional!! Charlotte and Ava’s relationship was also the absolute sweeeeeetest!! She was meant to be her mama and knowing that by the end, this sweet baby ends up with a mama and dad that love her to the moon is just the cherry on top of Jude & Charlotte’s story. Jude and Charlotte have the perfffect banter and Jude seriously had me blushing THE. ENTIRE. TIME! I felt like the conflict between them was organic, realistic, and was resolved very well! It wasn’t rushed or glossed over, it was handled perfectly. The spice was spicinggggggg y’all! Kat really built this tension SOOO well that by the time that resolve FINALLY snaps wheeeew girl, it gets HOTTTT!! Also, I felt like it was so nice to see a vulnerable side of Jude and to see him really come into himself as a father and partner and not just the playboy. Seeing him be vulnerable and pathetic and desperate for Charlotte was kind of everything I could’ve ever asked for hehe.
My SINGLE. ONLY complaint was there were multiple instances (enough for me to notice) where phrases are repeated either on the very next page or the characters next chapter. It wasn’t distracting but it did not take away from the story overall or my enjoyment of it! It’s just if I had to be nitpicky, that’s the one complaint I had. Otherwise, PERFECTION! In the end, I was actually tearing up at Jude’s internal monologue of his feelings for Charlotte, and was genuinely blown away by how emotional this story made me. I seriously loved these two and I cannot wait for the next story and I’m so sad Jude & Charlotte’s book is over!! *cries* Check it out coming March 24th!!!
Charlotte had big dreams when she moved to the Hamptons, she was going to work at Pembroke Hills to save money and open a photography studio. What she didn’t expect was to make amazing friends there, including one of the male variety. Since most people leave during the off-season, she found herself spending more time with one man in particular, a charming flirt, who has quickly become her closest friend. When they have to much to drink one night and share a kiss before falling asleep together on the couch, she wakes up early the next morning and makes a quick escape, hoping to avoid any awkwardness, but when she returns to his house after work, finding him holding a baby who looks just like him, things become a whole lot more complicated.
Jude has always dreamed of having a family one day, but a former one-night stand showing up on his doorstep after a year and handing him a baby was not the way he imagined things happening. Panicked with absolutely no idea what to do, he is relieved with his friend Charlotte stops by and comes to his rescue. Since she needs a place to stay for the summer, he offers her a room in his house, but makes it clear he isn’t expecting her to help raise his daughter. But the more time they spend together, the more they start feeling like a family, and Jude soon realizes that he no longer thinks of her as just a friend.
I received an early copy of this book from Valentine PR and I absolutely loved it! I loved the banter between Char and Jude in the previous books, and this one just took everything to a whole other level. While I understand why Charlotte resisted Jude’s charms in the beginning, not wanting to make things awkward in their friends group if he lived up to his reputation of “love them and leave them”, the fact that they had a year to build their friendship and become such an integral part of each others’ lives truly cemented their potential as a couple. The fact that Jude was interested in her at first, but allowed himself to be relegated to the friend zone, showed that he had the potential for more all along. While it would have been easy to say that Ava forced them to become more then friends, I loved that the author addressed that, and gave both Jude and Char time to work through those assumptions on their own, allowing them to come together even stronger in the end.
Jude and Charlotte were so incredibly cute. Baby Ava definitely stole the show. Give me a single dad with slutty glasses all day. The way these two had me on the edge of my seat to get together though. I was happy how everything turned out and the tension building was chefs kiss.
These two for real did not want to ruin their friendship by crossing a line but were so in love with each other for far longer than they realized. I love a single parent because I love when the other MC falls head over heels for the kid too. Like yes, I love the HEA that the MC’s get but give me a person who has no blood relationship love the kid like their own. Charlotte was that for us and so much more. She took one look at Ava and was like, yup, you’re mine too.
Charlotte and Jude had so much chemistry though that I read this in one day because I needed to know how they ended up together and that everything worked out. Jude was definitely bringing his A game with the dirty talk. Did not expect it out of him.
I loved being able to get back to the Pembroke world and seeing everyone from past books. A true found family in this world.
Thank you to Kat Singleton and Valentine PR for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Tropes: ✨Reformed playboy ✨Single dad ✨Billionaire ✨Friends to lovers ✨Forced proximity ✨Age gap
The number of times I said “awww” during this book should probably be illegal. It had the perfect balance of sweet, heart-melting moments and spicy ones, and I was completely immersed in all of them!
More Than Friends lives up to its name. Jude is the quintessential playboy who has never settled down, though he’s always had a soft spot for his best friend Charlotte. Everything changes when he’s suddenly thrown a major curveball… or should we say a baby? When Charlotte moves in to help him care for little Ava, their plan is simple: survive the early stages of parenthood together. But living under the same roof quickly turns into something much more.
I absolutely loved watching these two navigate new parenthood together. The love and vulnerability Jude shows for his daughter is incredibly swoon-worthy, and if you love the single dad trope, this book will definitely give you all those feels and more.
Make sure to add Pembroke Series Book 3 More Than Friends to your ever-growing TBR list! It releases March 24.
Tropes ✨ 👨👧 Single Dad 🏡 Roommates 💘 He Falls First 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Super Spicy
Jude Kensington is everything, y'all (oh and he wears glasses! 😍). He finds out he has a daughter and that man is all in instantly. Seeing him with baby Ava will melt you right into a puddle. Charlotte is one of his best friends and needed a place to stay for the summer. He lets her stay with him and she instantly wants to jump in and help him with the baby too. Forced proximity worked it's magic. The pining... the flirting.... LOVED. When they finally cross that friendship line I was kicking my feet.
These three were absolutely made to be a family and they're perfect.
🎧Audio:🎧 This is a duet narration by Jason Clarke & Megan Wicks. They made this the most enjoyable listen. Jason's deep voice was perfect for the flirty, fun Jude. Megan has this raspy voice was literally perfect for Charlotte. This had me in a chokehold and didn't let go until the book was over. Jason & Megan is 100% a pairing I would want to listen to over and over again.
What to expect: 💜Billionaire Romance 💚Friends to Lovers 💜Age Gap 💚Surprise Baby --> Single Dad 💜Roommates to Lovers 💚Forced Proximity
Thank you to Kat Singleton & Must Love Audio for this ALC!
4.5 ⭐️ Best friends turned roomies turned LOVERSSSSS YA I ATE THIS UP I absolutely loved the dynamic between these two characters. I don’t read a ton of friends to lovers books bc I find them hard to be done well but this was 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 The flirty banter, the chemistry from the start, the way they kept denying their feelings for each other even tho we knew DAMN WELL they were head over heels for each other. Charlotte was a little ray of sunshine. The way she stepped in to help Jude no questions asked really spoke volumes of the type of human she is. I loved seeing her relationship with Jude’s daughter grow stronger. Now for Judeeee. I love me a single daddy. Plain & simple. But you throw in those slutty little glasses & AAAHHHH i’m on my kneessssss🧎🏻♀️🧎🏻♀️ Also, not to mention he’s so pathetically OBSESSED with her. This book was so so good! The perfect mixture of sweet, wholesome, & HOT!!!!
Reformed Playboy Single Dad Best Friend’s to Lovers Billionaire
Dare I say... Daddy Jude is my favorite!!
Alexa, play “Ruin the Friendship” by Taylor Swift
Kat Singleton had me smiling and so freaking giddy with Jude and Charlotte’s story. The mutual pining. The yearning. The slow burn. More Than Friends was an easy 5 star read!
Best friends dancing around those “what if” feelings. A past hook up shows up with a baby, and bestie is right there, supporting and helping him. This book was just so stinking cute and gave me all the feels.
Jude and Charlotte’s undeniable chemistry pulled me in from the very first page. Their playful and flirty banter was so good. The way they navigated their situation was believable and so freaking cute. Kat’s spice always hits and I could not get enough of Jude and Char.
Megan Wicks and Jason Clarke are a dream team. These two were the perfect Jude and Charlotte and they did an amazing job bringing this story to life. I loved this one on audio.
Huge thanks to Kat Singleton for the gifted ALC and for the amazing PR!
More Than Friends is such a beautiful story. I’m not usually a fan of the friends-to-lovers trope, but I absolutely loved this one.
We’ve met Jude and Charlotte in previous books in the series, but getting their full story was so satisfying. This book features close proximity, a secret child/accidental dad situation, best friends to lovers, and a touch of found family.
I always enjoy this author’s books — they really know how to write billionaire romance without making it feel cringey.
Jude stepping up to be a dad after Ava is dropped at his doorstep was so beautiful to see, and Charlotte supporting him every step of the way made it even better.
This is a 4.5-star read, and I highly recommend it!
Thank you to the author and Valentine PR for the ARC.
Jude and Charlotte have been friends for the last year since their mutual friends got together. Charlotte denied Jude’s flirting and put him in the friend zone. Char’s job at the club keeps them close. After a shared kiss the night Charlotte finds out she needs a place to stay, a woman shows up with a baby that belongs to Jude.
Jude immediately steps up when the mother doesn’t want to be involved. Charlotte helps him adjust and moves in. They fall for each other and for little Ava 😍
I really enjoyed Jude as a dad👨👧 There is a little third act misunderstanding that I could’ve done without. Overall, I love this series! 💚💜⛳️👶🏼
4.5⭐️ this might just be my favorite kat singleton book!! I absolutely adored jude and charlotte! i loved that we finally dove into their story and seeing how absolutely obsessed jude already is with charlotte. i am a sucker for single dad books, so i knew i would love this one. but jude and charlotte are such loveable characters, not just the way they work so perfectly together with ava but just how in tune they both were with the other. the audiobook was phenomenal!! i seriously eat up kat's writing and she always has the best narrators, i am unwell over this audio. this book was seriously SO SO GOOD.
huge thank you to kat singleton for an arc + alc in exchange for an honest review <3
this book felt a nice easy fall and i loved it! it felt natural and gentle and i loved getting to watch jude and charlotte grow from friends to lovers. it was like watching a flower bloom. it was low stakes so it never felt stressful. he fell hard which is exactly what i like in a mmc ;) bonus because it had my favorite microtrope (iykyk) and no third act breakup!!
Charlotte is spending the summer figuring out her next step while working as a golf cart girl at a country club. Her best friend Jude is flirty, hot, and very much a playboy...I couldn’t help picturing Jude Law with his “slutty glasses” from The Holiday.
Everything changes when Jude suddenly becomes a single dad and Charlotte moves in to help with baby Ava. The lines blur, the chemistry heats up, and the friendship intensifies! I was gasping, smiling, and loving every page.
