Isaac Denise is off-limits. I’m nearly twice her age, our dynamic set in stone for the past eight years. But all bets are off when her boyfriend steals something from me. It’s only fair I take something from him in return: her. By any means necessary.
Denise Isaac has always been my protector, but one selfish act changes him from someone I admire to someone I fear. He’s ready to ruin my life... unless I give him whatever he wants.
Whatever He Wants is a spicy forbidden age gap romance. It features a morally grey hero, power imbalance, push/pull tension, and ends with a HEA.
Neve Nox writes dark and dirty age gap stories. Her books feature dominant, morally grey men claiming sweet, sometimes naive women by any means, sizzling scenes, and suspenseful themes. If you like taboo, she writes that too, but those stories are only available on select stores. Find all her books at: https://theoxgirls.com.
This book made me want to sing “I’m ya freaky dancer, dancing for money, do what you want me to doooo”!!! This was sexy and taboo but super safe for those who like a morally grey man but not a nasty man!!
However, as a lover of the Nasty Men Coalition I was absolutely obsessed with the original. Now since Neve always delivers this was definitely an easy five star rating and I love that I got to see into our MMC’s brain once more.
Issac knows that Denise needs a place to live so he plays on that fact pretty hard by forcing her into some pretty sticky situations. One of those being on her knees and not in the Christian way “wink wink.” Issac uses her lack of funds and poor boyfriend choices to blackmail the heck out of her through out the entirety of the story. What I dislike is he likes/loves her so why not just say that?!
Le Sigh why can’t people just tell you they want to lick your butt and hold your heart and everyone live together in perfect freakbooty harmony?!
But if you haven’t started this series what are you doing human ? Go get yourself a sweet little treat. Also let’s all beg Madam Nox to have Nicki Diamond narrate Denise !!
Denise is off limits to Isaac as his step sister let alone the fact shes half his age, but when her bf Matt steals from him, he decides to take something of his, Denise. As the lines blur, the intensity of their desires build but the what end. Well written engaging steamy quick, off limits, step sibling age gap romance.
✨I received an ALC of this audiobook and am leaving an honest review.✨
This story rushed too quickly. It would have been better as a longer slow burn. There wasn't enough time to get attached to any of the characters. Lots of blackmail, too much non-con in the beginning, and the age gap felt a little too fatherly at times.
honestly this was one interesting read. i love taboo reads (sue me, i don’t care) especially if everything just screams FORBIDDEN. this for sure was forbidden, i mean they’re step siblings, and she’s almost half his age.
Okay just to start off, that was hot. So wrong because Isaac truly was so coercive and exploitive—- but so hot. Painting the red flags green.
SPOILERS INCOMING
But Denise? She pissed me off. The victim complex was so exhaustive.
She has the nerve to be affronted about being kicked out and actually downplays her boyfriend’s thievery- at least in her own head, then she cheats on said boyfriend (yes she was coerced but I’m pretty sure a faithful partner would just accept the consequences and start packing their crap— one would hope) and has the audacity to be appalled by Matt’s hostile and cruel reaction (yes I know she did a lot for him but love doesn’t keep score, and that doesn’t mean turning a blind eye to someone taking advantage of you but when you do things with love it means you do them willfully and don’t hold it against that other person, their unwillingness to acknowledge that is your indicator to hit the road Jack), her entitlement with feeling like Isaac’s basement that she lives in RENT FREE is HER home, her willful misunderstanding of her father and then resenting him for no longer enabling her, I mean the list just goes on… and the story ain’t even that long.
I had hoped for some kind of redemption arc, but like she said they were all villains in the story. She does come to her senses about most things and starts thinking rationally, especially after ending things with Matt, but no matter how ugly you paint him— she chose to be with him and then cheated on him. There’s definitely nuances in life, but nah ole girl is a cheater.
ANYWAY—- after that thorough psychoanalysis, ultimately I did enjoy the author’s writing, I did get into the story even though I really do not like Denise, and I can’t help but like Isaac even though he went a little super villain.
I will definitely be reading more of this author because although the FMC drove me up a wall, I find this author talented and look forward to exploring more of their work. I also got this book for free during one of those stuff your kindle events so that’s nice too.
Spice rating is 4 peppers out of 5 because although I like more smut, I found that the amount of scenes in the book was perfect and organic. Also the author built their relationship up for us, rather than just forcing it down our throats and bombarding the readers with smut scenes

Whatever He Wants by Neve Nox absolutely leans into the morally grey energy — and I was here for every second of it.
This story isn’t trying to play it safe. The dynamic is bold, messy, and full of tension in the best way. The age gap and forbidden elements immediately raise the stakes, and the push-and-pull between the characters keeps the story feeling electric.
What really worked for me was the intensity of the connection. There’s this constant undercurrent of temptation and control that makes every interaction feel charged. It’s the kind of dynamic where you know it’s complicated… but you can’t look away.
I also loved how unapologetic the tone of the book is. It fully commits to the morally grey romance and lets the characters exist in that messy, addictive space.
This is a 5 ⭐ for me because:
• the tension between the characters was constant • the morally grey dynamic was fully embraced • the forbidden/age gap trope added real stakes • I was hooked on the relationship from the start
Dark. Intense. Completely addictive.
Read this book if you like:
• morally grey love interests • forbidden / age gap romance • obsessive, high-tension relationships • dark romance with bold character dynamics
Pheeeeeew! That was a close one 🙈 I almost thought this was gonna wind up down the pregnancy trope route, what with the . For me the 🍞ing kink sorta came out of left field but I took it all in. Because crazily enough, even though I don't like pregnancy and babies in my romance at all, I actually do like a little bit of breeding kink 😏
I got this book for free during Stuff Your Kindle Day and I'd say it's worth a read. The pacing was decent, the tension and spice were good, and I saw very few grammar issues. I will say I didn't feel it was very taboo despite their relationship as step-siblings, but it's okay. It ends on a HFN with no pregnancy.
This is rated more on the audiobook than the ebook but I did my usual and read along.
I was lucky enough to be offered a chance to ALC the audiobook.
Vic and Kate Fraser did a really good job at bring Isaac and Denise to life.
Issac is the big almost step-brother by a good few years. Denise is the almost step-little sister.
I liked that Isaac is there for Denise when her dad kicks her out for wasting her life with Matt. I also don’t care that Isaac blackmailed her just a little bit as in the end it worked to get her away from Matt who just came across as a bit of a d**k.
I was missing the taboo of them being actual step-siblings but we do find out fairly easily on that Isaac mum isn’t married to Denise dad. They have just been together a long time.
It does cover a lot in under 120 pages, from death of a spouse, theft, blackmail. Worth a read if you want something quick and mildly taboo.
This taboo tale is perfect! The storyline and pacing were awesome. I also fell in love with the characters. The FMC, Denise, is very relatable. My feelings on the MMC, Isaac, who is like a brother to her were mixed at first, but I eventually loved him too. Denise starts out with a jerk for a boyfriend, Matt, because why not. But with help from Isaac, she quickly starts to realize she deserves better. There is plenty of well-spaced spice throughout this book. But whew! By the time we get to the ending it is spice after spice after delicious spice. And I loved it. This is one I will definitely keep on my reread list because I thoroughly enjoyed it. I also liked the characters enough to want a sequel or even a prequel if this author should be so kind as to give us one.

this book definitely isn't for me. I'm not a fan of books where there is cheating from the main couple, and this book not only has cheating but tries to justify it. Just because the MFCs boyfriend is a p.o.s. does not mean that she should cheat on him with her stepbrother. Break up first! There were so many reasons and signs to break up, but the MFC just chose to stay until she eventually got caught by her boyfriend. And I'm sorry, but when the MMC says “You were a bad girlfriend because he was a bad boyfriend, " ... I just got so annoyed and angry. Once again they're trying to justify the cheating. Almost EVERY single character in this book is just a crappy person... the only one I can even somewhat like is the MFCs friend, and we don't see her that much. Want my opinion? skip this book
this fast paced book was an absolute ride. the tension builds fast and never lets up, and the dynamic between the characters is intense in the best way. there’s a strong sense of obsession, control, and desire that makes every interaction feel charged. the chemistry is undeniable you can FEEL it through the pages and the pacing keeps you hooked the entire time.
🌶️ - it is VERY high. like, unapologetic, bold, no holding back type of spice (not a nasty creepy man type spice if you know what i mean). if you’re into dominant energy, scenes that have you kicking your feet and gasping a little, this book delivers.
this book literally screams “often” by the weeknd 🤭
Short step-sibling, age gap, taboo romance. They've had feelings for each other for a while but she's been involved with someone else, but that ends shortly into the book. Neither wanted to admit their feelings because they have a huge age gap and he's her stepbrother. Once he decides to push the envelope and not give a damn about their ages or parents it is spicy and moving quickly to the next level of their relationship.

if you dont mind step siblings then this is for you!! I was picked to listen to the audible and man im honored and so in love she did amazing writing this book and even better when she chose the narrators....they excuted Denise and Issac without a flaw and I cant wait to go for book 2...I would have enjoyed this without the audio but I 1000% recommend the listen especially if you listen on the go,cleaning house or in the pick up line ....the spice is there and im a sucker for spice....

It’s a quick listen and it’s a fast paced step sibling/taboo age gap romance. My first audiobook by this author and I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised. The writing is solid, but not very deep, which is hard to expect from such a short book. I don't like reading about cheating, but in this book it didn't bother me much, because her boyfriend was a real loser. In short, a solid short story about a taboo relationship and a morally grey man who gets what he wants.
This was a good little quickie to start the morning with I did it as an audio and I loved the narrators!
Denise is living in her step brothers basement with her boyfriend But the boyfriend isn’t a good person and the brother find that out very quick…. The tension builds up very quick and this is definitely not a slow burn haha! I did find that Denise had a little bit of a victim complex but it didn’t annoy me ect If you want a fully plot based book I wouldn’t look here but this one is steamy with a side of plot hehe
No one writes naughty like Neve Nox. Denise and Issac's story continues that opinion. If you're dipping your toe into taboo romance, this is the book for you. And with psudeocest and a deliciously dark MMC, experienced taboo readers will be happy, too. I love Nox's short little naughties...perfect length for a nice, relaxing bath. Just don't let your kindle get too wet. 😉

Overall: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Couple: Isaac & Denise ❋❋❋❋❋❋ First book from this author and it was good, I definitely could have read more about them. This was also the cleaner version. Isaac definitely kept me on my toes, I fell for him fast then felt like I got whiplash, but then fell again. I never really did like Denise something was just not clicking there with her thoughts and actions. I did enjoy how the rest of the storyline played out.
I believe this is the first book I've read by this author, and it won't be my last. Denise and Isaac's story draws you in in a way that makes you keep reading. I really liked the taboo element that we get in the story. You can't help falling in love with them. The story is quick and steamy. I liked it.
Whatever He Wants was good read. Just wish that it was a bit longer. Isaac and Denise story had so much potential to be a great story the little drama that happens in their story was good. But it would be much better if it had a better happy ending maybe with them getting married making a family too. But so far I like their story.
With problems in Denise life with her boyfriend Matt, will she take the bait set by Isaac, well get on this little hot ride to find out. Pretty fast paced from one moment to the next, decent amount of spicy scene for the plot.

Overall a wonderful sexy, quick, enjoyable read, that makes you want another. This book was deliciously steamy, and extremely dirty. A story that is exciting and some what twisted. This book is an intense, page-turning story filled with romance, and high stakes. I loved everything about it and I couldn’t put it down until the end! Highly recommend!
I'm used to reading Neve Nox's shorter stories, so this took a while for me to really get into but not that long, because once the spicy scenes started, I immediately became fully invested! I enjoyed it A LOT, if you know what I mean. *wink, wink* This might get bumped into a 5-star read after I read it a second time. Eh, I'm just gonna take any excuse to read it again anyway. ;)
I enjoyed this, I love duet narration. It’s a quick listen and it’s a fast paced step sibling/taboo age gap romance. Denise is living in her step brother Isaac’s basement with her dead beat boyfriend. The boyfriend steals a watch from Isaac and he is livid! Denise has to right her boyfriends wrong and tells Isaac that she will do anything to make up for it.
This was an ALC read for me. This was a nice quick read, I feel it has a good amount of plot and the story line progressed nicely, I don’t feel like there was a lot of depth to the characters. I enjoyed the audiobook version, the narrators were captivating and engaging. Beware there is quite a bit of non-con and infidelity in this book incase that is a trigger for some.
I listened to Whatever He Wants by Neve Nox and it was a quick audiobook packed with forbidden tension and plenty of spice 🎧🌶️. The age-gap dynamic and morally gray hero added a lot of intensity, and the push-and-pull between Isaac and Denise kept things interesting.
A short but dramatic listen for anyone who enjoys taboo, spicy romances with a HEA. 📚✨
This is a fast-paced read with plenty of angst, a touch of spice, and characters—well, one character—that I disliked immensely. Isaac is more than morally grey; he's morally bankrupt. Such a great read!
This novella is so good. I love the taboo relationship between Isaac and Denise. I loved the spice scenes so much. I wish this book was longer I received a free copy of this book and I'm voluntarily leaving a review.
This is a fast-paced forbidden romance that is dark, depraved, immoral, and so delicious. The tension was on point with A+ spice. It's so wrong but that's why it's so exciting.
The book was great! The audiobook was even better than just the text! The narrators are exactly how I heard the voices in my head! The duet style means it you’re not brought out of the book during all the spicy scenes!
