A Gentle Celebration of Everyday Love
Love is in the Small Things by Puuung (yes, with three u’s) is an absolute delight. The illustrations are tender and expressive, perfectly paired with brief, poetic text that captures the quiet gestures of love shared between a couple. Each page feels like a window into a moment of care, comfort, and connection.
The author notes that nearly a decade has passed since the book was first published in South Korea. It took time to translate, and I hope that doesn’t mean the illustrations were redrawn to depict a more Western-looking couple. That would be heartbreaking, not because of any flaw in the art, but because the beauty of these moments transcends appearance. The acts of love portrayed here would be just as moving if the couple were of any background or even pink dinosaurs. The emotional truth in the text is universal.
Interestingly, the need to enlarge each page while reading became a gift. It encouraged me to slow down, absorb the words, and truly take in the artwork. This wasn’t a distraction. It was a gentle nudge to savor the experience.
This book is a quiet triumph. I’m grateful to Puuung for sharing it with a wider audience. The work is beautiful, the words are beautiful, and the love it depicts is deeply felt.

The Small Everyday Things That Equals to Love
Beautifully quaint story and very much enjoyed it, author giving us glimpses into a love that has to be chosen by every day small choices. Those decisions indicating investment and show love through the minor things in living. Life is a long journey of obscure moments, because every little moment can be inconsequential. Though with the right person the little moments add up and equal into the bigger core memories. The book gave a feeling of all moments continue to adding to a fulfilling life. I’d say it was absolutely beautifully translated. Thank you, definitely the uplifting short read I needed.

What a sweet book. This collection of illustrations, with short captions about what they depict, showcase the small things in life that capture what love is really about. It doesn’t need to be grand gestures and large purchases, but more about the little things and moments that happen on the daily.
The heartwarming and beautiful illustrations and blurbs really made me appreciate my relationships more. A truly sweet and beautiful book. I heartily recommend if you need something warm and cozy.

Sweet.
Its just so sweet. It made me slow down and take a breath. Looked at the pictures and the colors and the details in the scenes. Many pages made me feel warmth spreading in my of chest and many made me miss my hubby who has been gone for 3 yrs now.....Like the hugs from behind or just lazy nap days, those are wonderful memories to have about being in love..

Cute
This was a cute book about love and the little things but it felt like a book written by someone who has never truly been in love. Where are the sleepless nights and challenges you get through together? It was cute but I'm not sure what a good audience for it would look like.

This is a beautiful, illustrated story of how the small things in life can be extremely powerful in showing love in our lives. All we have to do is look for the goodness of each moment. I highly recommend it.

The graphic were wonderful and the sentiments throughout were sweet. There were a few that had me scratch my head and a few graphics that made me chuckle, but that’s the beauty of a book is the different emotions you feel throughout.

The illustrations were so beautiful, colorful and so relatable.
Life can be crazy sometimes and receiving a reminder to enjoy the simple daily things we lived and do with our spouse/love one was just what I need it.

Beautiful illustrations fill this book about Love. Very cute! I loved the tiny details like the cat pawing the ball on the pool table and the books on many of the pictures. Overall it was like a great big hug and left me with a smile on my face.

Been wanting to read this since covid Times, finally found it in Kindle unli! The illustrations were cute and adorbable. The verses that accompany each illustrations were cheesy but merge well with the illustration. Puung’s work reminds me of debbie tung’s. :)
