Blame it on Paris

Rate this book
Anelise Morgan was trying to break free from the sheltered life that her parents had raised her in. She was in college spreading her wings, growing and becoming her own person. She was even lucky enough to find a best friend and surrogate family to help guide her and love her. She felt like the world was just waiting for her to experience it. Michael Whitlock was desperate for help with his son. So when his neighbors offered their daughter as an option, he jumped on the idea. He had no idea what was in store for him when he saw her the first time. She was nothing like pictures at her parent’s home and he was awestruck by the sight before him. All he knew was that his heart had never beat the way it had been since he laid eyes on her.

I would actually give this zero stars if that was an option. I like hate Reddit, where I hated it, but I just had to get to the end to see how much worse it can actually get. I actually thought potentially this was written by like an AI bot and not a human since it was that bad. seriously the worst ever.

Started off well and then went no where. Also, he should be taken straight to HR. Some real boundaries were crossed here. It could have used a lot more build up.

I read an exerpt of this on a facebook ad and it hooked me in straight away, i was really looking forward to getting into this slow burn book. Nope! It turned out to be written in a very childish way, lots of sentences spoken by the MMC ending in 'like', overuse of exclamation marks... it just had a very immature vibe about it that didnt match the way the characters were described. The sex scenes were cringe with him explaining things to her, my toes curled and not in a good way. First book in a long time ive DNF'd!!
