Callie Masters loves ink. After finally getting her own chair in Montgomery Ink, she’s ready to start being a full time artist, rather than only an apprentice. When Austin, her former boss, gives her one very broody man as her first client, she jumps at the chance to make him hers—in and out of the shop.

Morgan McAllister is old money, old connections, and recently has been feeling just old. When he goes in to get his full back piece done after years of putting it off, the bright-eyed woman with the sly smile catches his eye. Between her age, attitude, and views on life, he knows she’s all wrong for him, but that doesn’t mean she’ll keep out of his thoughts.

When life throws them together after a few close calls, Morgan and Callie will have to trust in themselves and what their relationship will mean. Between conniving family members, blondes with too much time on their hands, and their own misgivings, trust in the bedroom and out of it won’t come easy.

I really enjoyed this one. Callie was a great character, and I liked Morgan a lot. I thought the angst stuff was a bit over the top. I mean Callie shows up at a gala with an off the rack dress and tattoos, and everyone is calling her a whore, and saying "you don't belong in our company" telling her to go back to her street corner. Um, I'm pretty sure we left the 1800's behind a long time ago??!! Plus Morgan's mother was so over the top, she came off as a caricature of a Disney villain!

Otherwise this kept me entertained!

Wanted to like this, really I did . . . but it just didn't work for me.

I like a brooding, stand-offish H, I don't mind if he's a man of few words and I'm a sucker for the silent ones. What I don't like is an H who lets others treat his h with disrespect. Poor Callie had to take a lot of unpleasantness from a lot of different people and I didn't like that Morgan either stood back and let it happen or when he was finally ready to step up, it was so lame tame.

Where was his dominate, possessive cave-man attitude then? I guess I just expected him to take better care of his woman. I want a chest beating alpha who doesn't give a f*ck what people think, he only wants to proudly and loudly claim his woman. Morgan never showed me that.

So although it was cute and definitely sweet at times, this one fell flat for me. Also the mother from hell and the OW was a bit OTT and cartoon-y for me.

Callie is an apprentice at the tattoo shop she overly happy and very upbeat which was nice to read.
Austin give her the chance to tattoo Morgan a old friend that wants a huge back piece on her own.
Sparks fly straightaway and love the chemistry between both characters.
Loved that each tattoo artist in shop competes to tattoo each family member.
This book is a lovely short story that Carey's on the series nicely. I would definitely recommend reading even if you don't like Hh because stuff happens with the other family that changes a lot.
Really enjoyed this and and writer but would love if they were unlimited kindle books.

I was happy to see Callie get her own story, but disappointed that this was what we got. It wasn't that great! All they focused on was the age difference and the kink, and then all of a sudden, Callie and Morgan are in love. It wasn't that believable! Just was not a good installment for me, though I am not ready to quit on the series just yet!

Come finirà?

Buona lettura!

Callie has a fulfilling life with amazing friends, and a job she loves, but lately she’s felt…listless. She knows something is missing, but what? When Morgan McAllister walks into Montgomery Ink, she’s immediately attracted. Too bad her first impression of the guy is not a pleasant one. She’s determined to give him a tattoo to be proud of and send him on his way, but fate appears to have other plans for the two.

When Callie was introduced in DELICATE INK, I hoped we’d be gifted with her own story. She was adorable and bubbly; I grew attached pretty quickly. I can confidently say Carrie Ann delivered an awesome story for her. FOREVER INK was a delicious novella with a gruff, growly dom and a sweet, bubbly, sexy heroine with lots of yummy sex mixed in.

“You say you’ve been a bad girl so I’m going to ruck up that little pleated skirt of yours and spank you until your ass is bright red. Then I’m going to fill that little hole with my cock so I can fuck you hard. You ready, girl?

*raises hand* Me! MY BODY IS READY. As you can see, he has a dirty, dirty mouth that I *ahem* really responded to. Morgan had many asshole moments, but I was able to overlook them because I related to the struggle he had with learning to be his true self when he spent most of his life trying to please his blue-blooded, snooty family. However, it did take a good minute for me to get over his asshole ways. Ultimately, by the end of the book he showed a lot of character growth which is more important to me disliking him at first.

All-in-all, FOREVER INK was a delightfully delicious erotic romance. If you love a smutty read with growly alpha males, sexy inked ladies, and a wicked happily ever after, give this book—THIS SERIES—a shot!

Morgan McAllister & Callie Masters

Callie is super stoked about becoming a full fledged tattoo artist. After being Austin Montgomery's apprentice Callie knows she is ready for the next step in her life. She studied under one of the best and working at Montgomery Inc is a dream job for her.

Austin sets Callie up for her first BIG tattoo. I huge back piece that will also wrap around the hips and arm area. The client is one of Austin's old friends, Morgan. Morgan was part of the S&M club scene years ago. That is where Austin and Morgan meet.

Callie is nervous about this big tattoo not because she is not up to the task but because Morgan was very rude to her on their first encounter. Callie also can not help that fact that her body wants Morgan in a huge way and when she is near him she has to control herself.

Morgan is 40 years old and from the moment he saw Callie, he wanted her. But Morgan held back knowing that Callie was too young for him, probably too innocent for him, and might not like the kink that he was into.

Morgan sees the submissive in Callie and his body wants her even more. Now he can see they would work well together in the bedroom.

Both Morgan and Callie try to fight their attraction to one another, but when Callie confides in Maya, Miranda, and Haley she decides to take a chance and ask Morgan to grab a bite. Callie's character does this so smooth that it could be two friends having a bite or that she wants to make sure that Morgan eats and takes care of himself after the first sitting of the tattoo. I liked that scene a lot.

Morgan knows Callie wants more with her "grab a bite" invite and is ignoring his rudeness from the first encounter. But Morgan does not give in. He fights the attraction.

Morgan's mother is a pushy, annoying, controlling, and down right rude woman. He does not even like dealing with her. But when he tried to forget about Callie, he agrees to go with a woman (Heather) his mother would like him to be seen with at an art gala.

But Morgan's world is tilted and spun around as Callie Master's has just entered the gala on the arm of a married man, Alex.

Callie and Alex's wife are best friends and Alex's wife has falling ill with the flu and requests Callie to go in her place with Alex to the gala. Callie does not fit in and is taunted, called a whore and a slut, told she is trash and needs to leave the gala. Morgan comes to Callie's rescue a bit late but he tries to smooth it over.

As the day moves on Morgan finds himself thinking about Callie more and more. Morgan told Callie after the gala that they both can go for more in this relationship if they choose too. Now they are taking a chance on love, lust, and trust to help them understand what they both want and need from one another.

This is another good story in the Montgomery Inc series. I love the way that Morgan finally deals with his mother (even though he should have done that forever ago). I like that Morgan sees Callie as different from the other plastic barbies that his mom tries to get him to go out with for appearance sake. I also love that both characters are okay with the age difference.

This was my first experience reading a story by Carrie Ann Ryan and I quite enjoyed it! Callie and Morgan come from two very different worlds, but they share a sexual attraction that defies their backgrounds and made for some hot scenes together. There is an underlying acknowledgement that things between them run deeper than they seem, no matter how much they would both like to deny it. Secondary characters were important to the story as well, adding definite conflict to their developing relationship that makes their romance all the sweeter when they are willing to put aside others for the sake of each other. I'm looking forward to reading more of the Montgomery Ink stories. 4 entertaining stars!

Callie finally get her chance at Montgomery Ink, but her first client turns out to be just as judgemental as he´s gorgeous.
Morgan is finally getting the tattoo he wants, but his artist turns out to be just what he wants, and that´s not what he wants. She´s young, lovely, alive and nothing like the harpies his mother tries to set him up with.
But Morgan just can´t get over the age difference.
Until life or destiny gets into play, and who´s he to turn destiny down?
Quick read, smutty fluff and submission in a great combo.

Morgan is hitting the big 40 and is tired of playing by the rules. He has taken over the family business and done as he should for everyone else. Now he wants to do something for himself. He goes to get a tattoo at Montgomery Ink and is taken with Callie, the young woman who is assigned to do his ink. They have obstacles to overcome like the 15 year age difference, his mother and the fact that they come from two very different worlds. But nothing worth having comes easy. This is a sassy, sexy story that will have you rooting for these two to get together. I loved it!

I'd have given this 4 stars if it weren't for the ending that would make a harlequin novel sound Shakespearean. It took the spunk out of the heroine and the alpha out of the hero and was completely trite. Especially for this author.
But the rest of the story was a fun little May/December, 'opposites attract' romance. The mother-in-law is so over the top it's ridiculous, but the MCs are engaging.

I loved this book and this series. I can't wait to continue to read this series.

Callie is loving her life. She finally gets her own chair after being an apprentice at Montgomery Ink and her first client, Morgan is a friend of her boss. She is also attracted to him. After a few misunderstandings, they act on their attraction. Add in some drama and it is a great book.

Highly recommend this series

[SERVICE PRESSE].

This was such a good novella! I wasn’t entirely sure how I’d feel about the dom/sub aspects going in, but I ended up really enjoying the story as a whole. Carrie Ann Ryan has such a gift for writing emotional, character-driven romances, and honestly—I have yet to read one of her books that I didn’t like.

I loved Callie and Morgan together. Their connection felt instant yet meaningful, and watching their relationship develop was both sweet and intense in the best ways. The age gap and the way their very different worlds came together made for such an interesting dynamic. Morgan’s quiet strength paired perfectly with Callie’s energy and openness, and I made more than a few reader noises while following their story.

It was also so much fun to be back with the Montgomery family again—I always love revisiting this world and the sense of warmth and found family that comes with it. There were a few moments that surprised me, and I have a few predictions about where future books might go. (And for the record, I was not a fan of Morgan’s mother, though she definitely made for some memorable tension.)

This novella packs a lot into a shorter format—romance, heat, and emotion all balanced beautifully. It’s dual POV, features an age gap and dom/sub dynamic, and blends passion with a genuine emotional connection that makes it so satisfying to read.

Spice (for future readers): Chapters 2, 7, and 8.

If you enjoy emotional, fast-paced romances with a mix of sweetness and steam, Forever Ink is absolutely worth picking up. Carrie Ann Ryan once again delivers a story full of heart, heat, and characters that stay with you long after you turn the last page.

2.5 ⭐

Wink

I purchased the book a while ago, but was able to listen to the audio version via Audible Escape. I know it was a novella, but I was hoping for more. I was hoping for more of the story to be spent on developing Morgan and Callie's relationship. I was hoping he would stand by her side and tell his mother off, so Callie would have evidence that he wasn't ashamed of her.

What kind of Dom was Morgan if he couldn't push back on his crazy mother and her choice for a bride any better than he did? He let Callie take a lot of crap without standing up for her any better or any more often. I was waiting for him to go to his mother and tell her to butt out at some point after he took Callie home from the gala. He was not proactive at all.

I was also a bit disappointed with Callie. I don't feel I should have to talk to by "boyfriend" if his mother comes up in my place of business disparaging me, like his mother did to Callie. She should have been more like Mia, willing to defend herself against that kind of vitriol.

Other than that, the story was Ok. The narration was Ok. I am not sure if the narrator was doing a "Dom" voice for Morgan or not, but it wasn't consistent. The character's voice was deeper at some point than it was at others, but not necessarily when he was being the "Dom".

Another short but sweet read but this time with Callie, who gets her own station in Montgomery Ink and bumps into Morgan, a 15-year-older guy with Dom tendencies. He has issues with his managing mother but is determined not to let that stop him from what could be his happy ever after.

This book does remind me of Sway by Lauren Dane - no idea which came first and I have no issues with one inspiring the other - because of the older, powerful, respected Dom who meets artistic 24/25 year old and who has a controlling mother. However, that's as far as the similarities go and I very quickly forget that I was thinking about Sway as I read and enjoy this tale (though I admit it gets me reading Sway again while moving on through the MI books...) of two people meeting at different stages of their lives yet finding in each other something to hold on to and treasure.

"Forever Ink", a novella in the Montgomery Ink series, offers a steamy, fast-paced romance filled with sizzling chemistry and emotional depth. Carrie Ann Ryan weaves a captivating story of self-discovery and passion between Callie, a determined tattoo artist finding her place, and Morgan, a brooding man trying to break free from societal expectations.

Callie’s vibrant personality and Morgan’s reserved nature create a compelling dynamic that keeps readers engaged. The tattoo shop setting adds a unique, edgy backdrop that enhances the story's charm. Despite its brevity, the novella effectively delves into themes of trust, self-worth, and love amidst familial pressures and personal insecurities.

"Forever Ink" is a delightful addition to the Montgomery Ink universe, perfect for fans of tattooed love stories and intense, character-driven romance.

Morgan he's the type of man that makes your panties melt, "you can call me Morgan, Callie," he said, his voice a soft growl. "After all, you're about to have your hands on me." I loved Callie she didn't take crap from anyone, "I'm getting off subject. If the age difference truly bothers you, then I will see you at the shop to finish your tattoo. No hard feelings." He growled softly. Well, something was hard, and it wasn't his feelings." He doesn't like thinking of his girl with other men, "don't compare me to the other men, little Callie. I asked you if you wanted my c*** in your a**." I really enjoyed this story, I loved Morgan.
