A quaint riverside town holds many secrets ... and the only ones who’ve seen it all are the critters. This book club dives (literally!) into the pages of a cozy mystery. The quirky group must solve the mystery to get out of the book. It’s so much fun - you’ll wish you had a book club like this!
In this journey, they choose a book set in a lovely riverside town. They land in a charming neighborhood and find they are part of a local book club. They are having a great time – and then a dead body shows up. (Of course it does!)
The clues to what happened come to them in a unique way – via the critters in the house.
As usual, the club finds plenty of time to enjoy the unique setting of their journey, as they solve the mystery – one critter at a time.

Elizabeth Pantley is a bestselling author of fiction and non-fiction books. She writes two well-loved cozy mystery series: The Magical Mystery Book Club, and the Destiny Falls Mystery and Magic series. She has also written the international bestselling No-Cry Solution parenting book series that is available in over twenty languages.
Elizabeth lives in the majestic Pacific Northwest and spends winters in the sunny desert of Arizona. While neither location is home to any paranormal beings (that she knows of) the vastly different yet equally lovely locations are the inspiration for the settings in many of her books.
Critters and Crimes by Elizabeth Pantley is the 11th edition to her charming Magical Cozy Mystery Book Club Series; however, if you’re a cozy mystery fan, you do not need to have read the prior books to fall completely in love with this book! That’s just one of the many things that I appreciate about this series. In each book, the book club members magically travel into a cozy mystery book! Since they don’t go into the same book every time, each mystery is unique though the main characters essentially stay the same. I’ve loved reading them in order because that way I know more about the main characters. If you’re a voracious cozy mystery reader, you’ll fly through the books!
I’ve probably said this about Pantley’s other books in this series, but Critters and Crimes is my absolute favorite one! Though Frank, the talking cat, has been with the club for many years, he’s not been an official “member” until now. In order to celebrate this monumental occasion, the other club members allow him to choose the book that they’ll travel into this time. The one he finds most fascinating has “critters” in it, so he figures he’ll fit right in! Without even hearing the entire synopsis of the book, he is immediately sold on it. Imagine his surprise when the characters of the book they’re magically transported into can’t understand him! Of course, the regular club members still do, but the book’s characters only hear him meowing! However, as the mystery unfolds, we discover that critters do in fact play an important role in solving the crime.
In each book, the Snapdragon Inn that the club meets in travels with them and transforms to fit its surroundings. One reason this one is my favorite book so far is the inn’s transformation! Pantley’s creativity shines with her descriptions of settings, and this is no exception! I loved all of the little details describing both the inn and the beautiful riverside town in which the club finds themselves. The unique mailboxes in the town are an added bonus! It’s easy to picture the town, the residents of the town, and especially the “critters.” I just loved all of the critters and the parts they play in the story. As per usual, there is humor and heart to the story, and these critters just added to those aspects.
The mystery that the club has to solve is one with some shocking twists and turns. You’ll convince yourself that one person is the criminal only to find yourself changing your mind several times! This one really had me stumped since there were lots of people who wanted the victim out of the picture.
The well-written characters, delightful setting, beautiful descriptions, humor, heart, and twisty mystery make Critters and Crimes a cozy mystery that I highly recommend!
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book. All views expressed are only my honest opinion.
Critters and Crimes is the 11th book in the Magical Cozy Mystery Book Club In the latent chapter, Paige and the gang head out to solve a murder in which they are not certain there was a murder. Bob has a surprise for Frank, And the book Club gets all of their clues from the menagerie of animals that the deceased kept. There are developed characters and a good plot line.
This series is light and quirky. A book club group that gets magically pulled into their book of choice. The only way of getting back home is to solve the mystery of the book. I always have a ton of fun reading these.
This one unfortunately did not hold my attention like the others. Although Atticus is the local knowledge base, his definitions and teachings were over zealous at times and would pull my attention away from the story. I also felt there was a lot of repetition throughout.
It was a great mystery though. It took me a great deal of the book to solve.
I love this series so much and I LOVED this book so much. Paige, Atticus and the rest of the book club all makes me feel like I'm there with them and that I'm home. This book is so much fun to read. I love how they all tease each other. I also love how they work so well together to solve the crime. I received an advance review copy for free and I am leaving this review voluntarily. I can't wait for the next book.
This series continues to be a joy to read. Each time it feels like returning to adventures with old friends. A book club that travels into the book they have picked is such an ingenious and vivid premise. I highly recommend this book and cannot wait to read the next one. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
Crimes and Critters is the 11th book in the Magical Cozy Mystery Book Club series. The book club has a magical library which transports them into a book to solve the mystery. This one saw the team enter a book where the animals were a key element to help solve a murder. This cozy series will take you through the plot smoothly and you might even get a good laugh on the way. I love the time I get to spend with Paige, Frank and the rest of the club!
This book was such a FUN adventure! I absolutely loved the abundance of talking pets and the clever way they helped uncover the mystery. It was whimsical, cozy, and completely charming. These books always make me so hungry with all the delicious food scenes sprinkled throughout, which just adds to the cozy vibes. And the hint of a budding romance between Paige and Atticus? So sweet and perfectly done. This one was an easy five stars for me and such a joy to read!
"Critters & Criminals (Magical Mystery Book Club book 11)" by Elizabeth Pantley is a little different than previous books. The paranormal is a bit less obvious in the book the club gets pulled into after their new member is officially announced. This time the paranormal is that the zoo of pets can talk but only humans of a certain skill level can understand them. Lucky for the book club, they can all understand them.
The book club jumps into a book that seems to fit all of what Paige could ever want in a story. Don't worry, she's not ready for a forever book yet. She's not even ready for a potential romance that may be budding either. However, she and the gang glide through this mystery (if it even is one) to find out what really happened to the man found dead in his kitchen.
I have been loving this series so much, and this is the latest release from the author. Whilst I have been working my way through the back catalogue, I admit to not being fully caught up, so in this book, there were a few surprises. The last book I read introduced new club member Valeria, so it was surprising to find she’d left already. I was sad to see Glo had also left, but glad she found her forever book. I also had no idea who Cosmo was, so I’m looking forward to meeting him in his introductory book. I’m also curious about Bob in the library. But apart from these minor changes, and slight references to previous stories I’ve not yet encountered, this book was just as enjoyable as the others. Our other regulars are still in place, especially Frank the talking cat, who has now been promoted to fully fledged official member of the group.
Based on a recommendation from our beloved feline, we are swept into our mystery. An apparent medication overdose sees our victim, Harold, found in the kitchen by his wife, Lillian, the leader of the local book club. Frank was less than thrilled to discover that this is a standard mystery, not a paranormal one, so humans cannot hear him, nor the dozens of house pets, speak. However, because our group is so special, they can hear the other animals, and soon, the critters of the title help our group uncover the truth about Harold and his unfortunate demise.
I loved this story; it was interesting, and I didn’t see any of the twists coming. It was interesting without getting overly complicated or bogged down with avoidable red herrings. The characters were all true to form, using their individual talents to help solve the mystery. I also loved seeing the romance start to bloom between Paige and Atticus. I’m a huge fan of Atticus. I think the name just summons up images of Gregory Peck, so I adore him. I am fully shipping Patticus.
This series has become a favorite, from the characters to the mystery to be solved. Each book is unique because the characters jump into a book to solve the mystery.
It is hard for me to believe that this is the eleventh book. I have enjoyed watching the characters evolve while retaining their quirky personas. It is clear that all the characters are aware of their counterparts' weaknesses and help them overcome them to move the story forward.
This mystery had some interesting twists. I won't give away anything because it would spoil the natural progression of the story and give you a hint of what might come. I will say that it was fun that the book club could hear the animals, but no one in the town could. And it was more than your normal cats and dogs; it included parakeets, mice, a turtle, rabbits, a guinea pig, and even a worm. Each of these animals provided a clue that helped the book club solve the murder.
I heartily enjoy this series and give it 5 paws up.
I adore this series so much first off. This story started out with such a cozy plot and such a small stakes murder if that exists! Man did this story take me places though!!! I did not see half of it coming!!
I love that the animals got to be the real hero’s in this one! And some budding feelings between Paige and a certain professor 👀
I can’t wait to see what the next adventure is!!

Calling all mystery and animal lovers. What a fun book to read. You never know what to expect with this series, and this outing didn’t disappoint. Well written characters and a fun and engaging plot. For new readers that may not have read any of the series or at least book one, the author explains at the very beginning of the book how the book club works. Priceless for new readers and a great refresher for those who have.
My review is voluntary and all comments and opinions are my own.
I have been a fan of the Magical Cozy Mystery Book club series by Elizabeth Pantley since the first book so you can imagine how I feel after reading Critters and Crime, the eleventh book.
Every time I open one of the books in this series I am whisked away on an adventure just like the members of the book club, except I don't have to leave my couch .... although I think I would enjoy the different places they wind up in. I could probably help with the murder solving aspect, and I sure would love the no calories eating they get to do.
Anyway, I am getting off track, which is something the members do a lot of as well.
In Critters and Crime Frank, who is the library cat, is promoted to full-fledged book club member and as new member he talks the others into letting him pick the book for their next adventure. Frank wants one with animals, so Sebastian brings back Clues from the Critters and Frank approves and the rest of the group does too.
The group finds themselves in Rivershade and LOVE what the book has done to the Snapdragon Inn and love the little town as well. They find that they are members of a nonmagical book club and go to a meeting. There they meet the host Lillian as well as the other members. It is not until they go to Lillian's again that they find Lillian in the kitchen talking to her husband who is dead on the floor.
The group is soon very confused when Lillian insists that Harold died due to mismanaging his heart medication. She also gets the coroner to agree and then makes plans to go stay with her sister asking the group to watch her house and take care of the numerous pets of Harold's.
It doesn't take long for Frank to dislike the choice seeing as no one can communicate with him and all they hear from him is meow. That is until he finds that Harold's pets do talk and Paige and the rest can talk with them as well.
I know I say it after reading each new book in this series, but I think Critters and Crimes is now my favorite. Not only is this a rather captivating series but you get to laugh a lot throughout the books. You fall in love with the characters, want to be a part of their magical book club and travel with them .... and that is saying a lot of me because I HATE to travel. (I know I'm weird like that lol)
I hope that you are a fan as well and if you aren't you have eleven books to read and escape with.
If you’ve been following Elizabeth Pantley’s Magical Cozy Mystery Book Club series, you already know how much fun these books are—and “Critters and Crimes” is a perfect example of why I’m completely hooked. And if you’re new to the series? You’re in for a real treat.
This is book #11, and once again Paige and her fellow book club members literally step into the book they’ve chosen to read. This time they land in a charming riverside town and almost immediately stumble into a death that’s officially ruled natural causes… but let’s just say the book club isn’t buying it. What makes this mystery extra fun is that the clues don’t just come from people—they come from the animals the deceased cared for, and those critters clearly have thoughts (and secrets) of their own.
The characters are warm, well developed, and genuinely feel like friends you want to spend time with. The banter—especially between Zell and Frank—made me laugh more than once. The setting is vivid and cozy, and I felt completely immersed in Rivershade, right alongside the club as they pieced everything together. The mystery kept me guessing and second-guessing right up to the end.
What I really love about this series is the strong sense of friendship and connection. While each book has its own self-contained mystery, I do think the series is best read in order so you can fully appreciate how those relationships grow over time. Elizabeth Pantley’s imagination never fails to impress—cozy, magical, clever, and just plain fun.
Bottom line: once I opened this book, I was swept away from everyday life, and I didn’t want to leave. Another delightful, twisty cozy mystery—and yes, I’m already impatiently waiting for the next one.
I received a free advance copy from the author. The opinions expressed here are entirely my own.
Critters, Clues, and Cozy Magic—Another Total Win!
I loved this book. This book adventure is what I would call a more normal cozy mystery story, well normal for a group of people that travel into books and can talk to animals. I guess what I mean is the the characters are human, unlike some of the past adventurers where they have had to deal with ghosts, vampires, genies and many more characters that the author can dream up. Although it is still a book club adventure and there is a twist and they are the only ones able to talk to animals. I loved this element because a lot of clues were then provided by the quirky animals in the dead man's life. It also meant the library car Frank had problems making himself understood. Of course with this author it's not just the run of the mill usual animals and she used her imagination to come up with new and unusual ways to keep it entertaining. The characters also help immensely with this and I just love spending time with the gang. The mystery was well worked giving you a number of clues and suspects to keep you guessing. I can't wait for the next adventure because that what reading this book is One Big Adventure.
Frank chooses the next book adventure and the book club travel to Riverside town for there next cozy mystery adventure. Things don't go to plan for the library cat and newest official member, when the residents can't understand him. However not everything is lost, it turns out they are able to converse with the animals in town. Can the animals help provide vital clues to helping them solve the murder? The dead man is the husband to the book club host and it's not just the book club members that have a motive for his death but was he really murdered? I was given this free review copy book at my request and have voluntarily left this review.
CRITTERS AND CRIMES by Elizabeth Pantley Book 11 of the Magical Cozy Mystery Book Club Series
It's a very special day for the book club and Frank is especially excited to enter a book world where animals appear to play a major role in the story. Upon their arrival in Rivershade the gang is delighted by the picturesque town. They soon discover they're part of a book club in the story and are surprised that they are already known to the characters. Lillian is the wonderful hostess, but Frank soon discovers he's just a "regular" cat. The book characters can't understand him! Not only that, though Lillian shares her house with lots of animals, she doesn't care for them, they are her husband's, and they aren't speaking either! This has Frank giving the book they're in Zero stars!!! On their second day they go to visit Lillian and discover her standing over her husband's dead body. This must be the murder the gang is here to solve, but it's being treated a natural death. Will the gang discover it's truly murder? If so, who among the characters they just met could have done the dead? Paige, Atticus, Frank, and the rest of the crew will look for clues, enjoy the charming setting, eat lots of snacks, and hopefully solve a murder so that they can return home.
I always enjoy going with the Magical Cozy Mystery Book Club into a new book. The mystery in CRITTERS AND CRIMES is more slow paced than usual. They aren't even sure the body at the start is a murder they're supposed to solve. Most of the characters act guilty and make good suspects, even if they can't figure out a motive at first. Lillian's behavior is decidedly suspicious and as they learn more about Harold, multiple motives start piling up.
Frank had me in stitches when he gave the book zero stars! From the highest expectations to reality. The good news is that Harold's animals grew to trust the book club and...but no spoilers from me. I loved how they finally got involved and helped solve the crime. I think my favorite character in Rivershade was the smallest. It's interesting how the relationship between Paige and Atticus is evolving. Will they become more than friends?
With a slower pace and characters who really care about each other CRITTERS AND CRIMES is a wonderful escape that will make you laugh, then smile, as you enjoy a good puzzle.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy from the Author. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
Critters and Crimes by Elizabeth Pantley takes place in a cute little riverside town that looks adorable but harbors deadly secrets within its community.
Can the Book Club solve the mystery to get out of the book?
The Book Club Paige and the rest of the gang are back for another awesome mystery. I still love all of the characters, which are fantastic. Paige is still loving the aspect of going into these mysteries and solving them. Zell is still a hoot, and I love all of her hilarious antics. Sebastian was the perfect character for this book because he was an excellent gossiper and got the other characters talking. Atticus is the voice of reason, and Forrest helped a lot as well.
The Mystery The Book Club entered this book without knowing much about what was to happen or the mystery, unlike in the other mysteries they have entered. I found that I liked this type, since it was nice to discover the body and how the mystery would unfold with the characters. Ms. Pantley almost caught me on some of those red herrings. I especially liked the critters' involvement in the mystery. The mystery had me confused until I started to connect the clues in my head, and wow, was this mystery a doozie! I almost missed some of the clues.
Four Stars My rating for Critters and Crimes by Elizabeth Pantley is four stars. I liked this mystery from Ms. Pantley as it was very funny. Ms. Pantley always surprises me with how much imagination she has to create basically these two stories for the Book Club to be involved in. I will always recommend these books, as they are so well written, and, of course, Ms. Pantley's other series as well.
Thank you for dropping by! I hope you enjoyed this review of Critters and Crimes by Elizabeth Pantley.
★★★★★ A Delightful, Cozy Treat with Critters, Clues, and a Hint of Romance
Critters and Crimes, the 11th book in the Magical Mystery Book Club by Elizabeth Pantley, is another absolute win for this charming, imaginative series.
This time around, Frank is given a huge honor and, as a result, the gang lets him pick the book the club dives into. At first, he’s convinced he’s chosen a dud—after all, the humans in this world can’t even understand him! But that worry doesn’t last long. Soon, the book club discovers that his human friends can understand the animals here, and suddenly the critters themselves become key players in solving the mystery. And honestly? I loved every minute of it.
The riverside town setting is cozy perfection, and the mystery unfolds in that comforting, low-stakes way that cozy readers crave. A dead body shows up (of course it does), but the tone remains light and playful, with plenty of time to enjoy the neighborhood, the friendships, and the unique way clues are revealed—one critter at a time.
There’s also a little romance starting to spark, and I am absolutely here for it.
At eleven books in, this series is still fresh, clever, and deeply comforting. Critters and Crimes delivers exactly what I want from a cozy mystery: lovable characters, a whimsical premise, animal helpers, and a story that feels like curling up with a cup of tea and a cat on your lap. Another great installment in a truly delightful series. Highly recommended for cozy mystery fans—especially those who wish their book club could literally jump into the story.
Welcome to the Magical Mystery Book Club where the members actually enter the book they choose to "read" becoming part of the story and staying there until the solve the mystery. On this journey, they find themselves in a small riverside town where they are part of a book club. When the husband of the book club hostess is found dead, it's ruled to be from natural causes, but the group thinks otherwise. And the critters of the house have their own ideas as well as some clues to share.
This has been a fascinating series, and this book's a prime example of why. The book was well-written, and the characters are well-developed while the plot is fast-paced. I was drawn into this captivating story and kept hooked from start to finish. The mystery was intriguing and fun to solve. There's a strong sense of friendship and connection between the characters and the premise of the series is unique. I loved this book and am looking forward to the next one. I highly recommend both book and series which I believe is best read in order so you can get the most out of thing and see the growth as the series progresses. However, each book does have its own self-contained mystery.
Elizabeth Pantley does it again! weaving magical, full of twists and turns, fantasy and fun. The book club lands in Rivershade, a residential town Paige adores, and right off the members encounter a death...though no clue if it is the mystery/possible murder. Frank gets a lovely surprise from Bob, and the club also is promised a surprise-another mystery to discover. Elizabeth's vivid and detailed descriptions took me beside the club in the small town, clear as day. Surprising friends assist with the investigation in some magical ways as the critters noted in the title. Love being swept away from my daily life to join our friends and ponder the outcome! ALWAYS a surprise, at least to me, when the mystery is revealed. She outdoes all previous mysteries and creates this book with yet another different, exciting, and fun story. Such an unparallelled creative mind of Elizabeth's is unique-grab this story sooner, not later! Don't miss this book-so worth it! Plan to be unable to put it down till you've read The End on the last page! Always happens to me!
My favourite travelling book club is about to jump into a new mystery - this one with some very chatty animals, who will help them solve the mystery!
This was my favourite new series of 2025 and I was so thrilled to be able to start the year off with the newest mystery. This one was a doozy!!! There was a twist in the story that I never saw coming and literally gasped as I read! I absolutely love when an author surprises me and this author is constantly keeping me on my toes with this series and I just love it!!
The whodunnit was so good! With almost actual fishing of red herrings, it was such a delight to try [and fail] to solve it before the book club members!
The only sad part is that I'm up to date with this series and will be eagerly awaiting the next book. If you love cozy mysteries with a paranormal aspect, this series is so wonderful and should be on your reading list!!
‘I don’t believe that Frank has ever been at risk of losing his muchness.’
Book club members come and go and Paige is trying to process all of the changes happening around her (and in her own heart) when this installment opens. The thought of anyone replacing Valeria is a hard...and none of the candidates seems right and she misses Glo and GeeGee. Then Bob drops a happy bombshell on them. Frank is now a full fledged member of the Magical Book Club so they can continue on with their journeys. Giving Frank the privilege of picking their next destination book they find themselves with no information on the case they’ve come to solve and when the only death they come across appears to be natural, things get even murkier. With the help of a cast full of talking pets they eventually uncover so much more than murder in the picture perfect river town. I absolutely loved the story and the deeper insight into several of the main characters. Five stars!
Critters and Crimes is double the fun with a book club inside a book club! Once again our intrepid book club members and Frank are transported into a mystery book. They find themselves in a charming neighborhood in a lovely riverside town. Imagine their surprise when they find out that many of the townspeople already know them! They are part of a local book club. The day after their first book club meeting the hostess' husband is discovered dead in his kitchen. It turns out that this man was not the community pillar he portrayed himself as. The widow leaves town to be consoled by her sister, leaving the recurring book club members to care for the deceased's many critters. The mice, the birds, the turtles, the old guinea pig and more provide most of the clues since most town residents appear to be suspects and the death has been ruled accidental. There are a few red herrings, suspects galore and plenty of magic in this twisted mystery!
"Critters and Crime" is another winning entry in the Magical Mystery Book Club series. The club jumps into a new book and a new case, investigating the supposedly accidental death of Harold Henderson in Rivershade. The heart of this series remains its charming, quirky characters, and their dynamics shine here. I particularly enjoyed Paige and Atticus's evolving relationship, complicated by Paige's fears for the club's future. The mystery is a satisfying puzzle, masterfully layering red herrings over dark secrets. I was cleverly outsmarted by the club's deductions, but the resolution tied all the clues together perfectly. Between the talking animal helpers, the cozy found-family vibe, a solid mystery, and even Frank the cat's well-deserved promotion to full book club member, this story is pure comfort reading. Bring on book twelve!
This is an exciting series by Elizabeth Pantley revolving around a magical book club . Paige and the gang attend a book club meeting in a charming town where everyone knows them! It seems it is not all quaint and serene and whimsical mailboxes. Murder raises its head. There are a few surprises thrown in for the bookworms. The gang have allies from the most unexpected places and what colorful characters they are. Critters and Crimes was a book that was intriguing to the end.The characters are riveting and the storyline was a fun read. This is a standalone but it is advised to read all the previous books in the series to get to know all of the characters and enjoy their exploits. Wished all these exciting places existed so I can go visit! Looking forward to more adventures from my favorite author.
Critters and Crimes is the eleventh cozy mystery in the Magical Mystery Book Club series. This time the book club travels into a mystery where the pets have all of the answers. Will the book club be able to piece together the clues?
I love this series so much and love the difference from book to book as the book club travels from different mystery to mystery. The core group of characters is great and works together so well. This mystery pulled me in from the beginning and I was surprised by how it so played out. I was intrigued by the added elements of all of the pets that could communicate with the book club and found this to be a fun approach to a mystery. I never get tired of this series and seeing what each new mystery holds. I really enjoyed this one and can’t wait to see what will come next!
This can be read as a standalone, does not have to be read in order. In fact, I have read them out of order and I don't feel like I missed a thing. The author does a good job with a brief opening blog that will explain everything you need to know to enjoy the book.
This book did have a different vibe than the others though. You could just feel it the way the beginning was written, like Paige did when they were swept away to the chosen book. I personally enjoyed the change up in how the story was presented but it still stayed true to the characters, theme, and concept.
There is so much more I want to say but I feel it will spoil the things that, to me, made reading this particular book so good. The twists she wrote into this book just made the concept of a magical book club more fun.
Critters and Crimes is the 11th book in the Magical Cozy Mystery Book Club series and it is a fantastic addition to the series. This series is very different in that they are a book club that chooses a book to read and are actually drawn physically into the pages and premise of the books they choose. In order to return home, they have to solve a crime in the book where they end up. Frank chooses this book and In this book, they are sent to a riverside, quiet town with talking animals who want the book club to solve who killed the poor man on the kitchen floor. This is one of the most fantastic, fun series that is different from all the other cozies you read. I very highly recommend this book as well as the entire series! I can't wait for the next adventure. I received an ARC of this book but the opinions expressed here are strictly my own.
What an absolute delight. I love how it's unique from the other books. Elizabeth Pantley's imagination amazes me. As with the rest of the series, once I opened the book, I was transported along with the rest of the club, and became just as invested as they were. This book kept me guessing and second guessing until the end. With a fun plot, twists and turns, and surprising friends, it is most definitely worth a read. And let's not forget all the interesting tidbits from Atticus. Although it can be read as a stand alone, I highly recommend starting from book one to get the full experience of the magic and friendships. I am absolutely hooked on this series and cannot wait to see what's next.
I received a free ARC from the author in exchange for my honest opinion.
These are a fun, light, quick read. If you like talking critters, Magic Tree House for grown ups but in a book club setting, you’ll enjoy this series. Always light hearted, cozy mysteries, clean reading.
This one didn’t quite hit as solidly as the others in the series have for me. I found parts a bit repetitive and while I love Atticus, the professor, he’s constant definition and education on every detail started to take away from his charm. I do love that he was finding a bit of a spark with our FMC!
I love that Frank is an official member of the club and that my favorite characters are still present!
The mystery was good, I didn’t guess it before the reveal. So for that more of a 3.5⭐️
