Workaholic omega Trinity Jones has a 1000-pound problem.
The Alphas who rejected her five years ago for being too independent are getting married.
To her sister.
Who just asked Trinity to be her maid-of-honor.
Sure, her sister doesn’t know she is about to marry the men who broke Trinity’s heart and Trinity has no plans to be the bearer of that bad news. But that doesn’t make the idea of spending a week at Heat Island, the world famous beach resort, for their destination wedding any easier to tolerate.
Despite a lifetime spent insisting otherwise, Trinity finally has to face the uncomfortable truth.
She needs a pack.
At least, for the next week.
But the men who show up from the matchmaking agency are the last thing she expects, including the scent matches she didn’t believe existed. They challenge everything she thought she wanted from her structured and (slightly) lonely life.
They do a good job of acting like they’re hers because that is literally their job. Being with them is a nice vacation from reality, but it will all be over in seven days.
Right?

Thank you to the author for an advance reader copy to review.
What? Why? Grrr WTF
Honestly, this story had some promising ideas but the choices made were poor. The author didn't respect her own FMC enough to give her honesty in at least one of the MMC? The pack could have told her the truth from day 1 about their goals (mostly) and admitted they werent a pack. Anyone could have told the truth about history. And there was really no good reason for any of the lies when it came down to it. I was just too frustrated with the story to truly finish and ending up speed reading through the last of it just to finish. Which I feel horrible about since it was an ARC and I was excited to be part of the ARC group.

I am in dubio between 3 and 4 stars but I give it 4. Why you ask? Because it's a good book, but I read now severely omega books and they are a a little bit the same. Although this author kept me motivated and captivated till the end. It would have been 5 stars when something would happens I didn't expect. I mean some part was surprising but also not.
Still definitely recommend this book if you want a easy read, omega verse and romance story.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
i genuinely liked the first half of this book even though the premise makes absolutely no sense. she dated these guys for three YEARS and never once introduced them to her sister or her family????? and granted, the exes were jerks to her when they dated, but she says they minimized her and tried to change her and didn’t support her goals, and she let them do that for three whole years??? while not telling her family, including her sister who says later in the book “…we tell each other everything?” clearly not. and it turns out that the exes aren’t jerks completely, but from trinity’s perspective, these guys are selfish alphas who steamroll over omegas and make them feel unimportant…and she’s going to let her sister marry them????
i liked all the guys in this book and i liked the interesting bits about trinity’s job and all the work she was doing for the wedding and how that looked while she was also participating in the wedding activities as well.
but the instant that trinity made the two guys in the pack who are not romantically or sexually inclined to one another kiss, i was out. i love poly romance, especially when the whole pack is intimate, romantically and sexually. but it needs to be organic and consensual. nothing feels more disrespectful than having a fmc say “kiss cause i wanna watch” like her partners are barbie dolls and not human beings. and then later in the book, she physically forces one of them to go down on the other, and then afterward is like “was that okay?” absolutely not, and it should’ve been something you asked about before doing it, you selfish, insensitive, fetishizing vulture.
she also does something similar with kyren, who yes, did lie to her. but when he says that he wasn’t comfortable and was scared and that’s why he didn’t contact her again, she straight up says “i’m not going to let you run from me again.” and i get that it’s because she doesn’t want him making the choice “to protect her,” but also that’s his choice to make?? regardless of his reason for choosing not to continue a relationship, that’s his choice and he doesn’t owe her an explanation.
plus almost the entire book takes place over the course of like 6 days, so the fact that we’re biting and bonding by the end of it just feels insane.
Thank you to the author for sending me an ARC of this book; I'm appreciative of the opportunity to read it.
That being said, I was enormously disappointed in this read and found it to be lackluster in just about every facet.
1) The entire bulk of the story takes place over the course of a week. Our main character, a notoriously inflexible and selfish workaholic, gets over her exes, plans and executes a wedding in a foreign country, has a total emotional meltdown, and forms a connection with and falls in love with 4 men enough to permanently bond with them, a thing she was scared to do to, in 7 days. I can suspend belief in a lot of things, but huge personality changes and growth in seven days is maybe a little too unbelievable.
2) To me, the exes had more depth and character development than the 4 MMCs did. I was also really disappointed in the fetishization of M/M interactions in the book. Two of the MMCs are in an established couple but their relationship is almost ignored in favor of the developing relationship with the FMC and even when it's acknowledged, there is only unspoken communication and no actual discussion between the characters. The other two MMCs are used as fantasy fulfillment for the FMC where they kiss and touch in spicy scenarios purely because the FMC tells them to.
3) The spicy scenes, though present, are ambiguous at best. As a regular OV reader, I am not easily offended or off-put by much, especially not terminology, in my books. I also don't think authors should endeavor to write spicy books, OV in particular that are known to be overtly explicit, if they're going to be shy about describing the thing they are putting into words. The way the author wrote her spice came across as prudish and hard to follow. It seemed to me like the author wanted to write a contemporary RH romance but wanted to use OV as an excuse which lead to poor execution.
Was it the worst book I've read? Absolutely not. In the long run, was it fun? Sure, it was easy to read, and a super light palette cleanser. Will I read any other books of this type by the author? Probably not.
Trinity is a successful omega event planner who has just taken on the biggest challenge of her life…planning her sister’s wedding to her ex-fiancé’s. Yup. In college her exes dumped her for being too independent. Now, fifteen years later her sister springs her wedding on her. Josie, Trinity’s sister is getting married to her perfect pack, only problem, they’re the exes that dumped her in college for being too independent. Trinity is freaked out, but pretends that she has never met these a-hole alphas, but she feels betrayed (rightfully so) and awful, so she tells her sister she has a pack. Enter, Matteo, Lucas, Cash and Kyren. Trinity hires these alphas and one beta as her fake pack for a week. They are all going to heat island for the wedding which she is planning. Metteo arranged this pack with his two best friends (who are married and together) because Trinity is his scent match and he wants her for real. It turns out Kyren was Trinity’s heat helper who ghosted her after her heat and now everything is a convoluted mess!
They arrive at the island and Trinity plans the perfect wedding while her exes dig into her back story and pretend they don’t know her. Trinity gets closer to the pretend pack and everything seems to be going well until it explodes…everyone knew that her pack was fake but her. She’s upset, and runs. The pack gives her space, and she runs after them. They make up, and become a pack for real…the end.
**THOUGHTS/SPOILERS**
Yuck. On so many levels. Okay, let’s start with the premise. Rejected omega gets back at her a-hole ex pack by hiring escorts that turn out to be perfect for her. Pretty spiffy premise. It’s why I decided to read the book. Now I know I’m in the minority, as made clear by the many star reviews, but this book was a disaster from chapter six going forward. Let’s take it apart bit by bit. Trinity’s ex-alphas were a-holes! They dumped her because she was too independent and wanted more than being a stay at home omega with kids. Now they’re marrying her perfect sister who fits the bill for them. They were awful. And the author set them up as still having feelings for Trinity. The best and only recourse would’ve been for their lies and deceitfulness to be found out and both sisters dumping them. But no, the author has it that Josie knew about her sister’s relationship to her pack and went along with the charade. This only makes Trinity’s ex pack even yuckier, and her sister a complete jerk along with the awful pack. Next on the list, Matteo is straight, but enter Kyren, who is also written as straight, and they’re now hooking up. It’s weird and frankly just a tactic used to introduce more m/m into the book when it wasn’t necessary. Lucas and Cash are already a couple and MARRIED so the m/m content is already in the book. It wasn’t necessary to have Matteo and Kyren - who were Trinity’s SCENT MATCHES, hooking up randomly at like the eleventh hour. It was just weird, and off-putting. The fact that Trinity was a great character but got the shaft, sucked. Her ex pack got everything, they were turned into martyrs by the author. They ended up being “good guys”, they got their perfect Stepford wife omega, and got to make amends to Trinity. Her sister was forgiven as if she did nothing wrong. Her new pack and their weird polyamory is basically forgotten and forgiven and they all live happily ever after. It was a total bummer for an ending. The book should’ve ended with the exes being found out. Josie dumping them for being a-holes, and Trinity getting her much deserved revenge. Matteo and Kyren should not be a couple, it’s odd (read odd too) and the pack making it up to Trinity in a grand gesture. The fact that Trinity is the one basically left in the literary dust, sucked. I felt as if the author took a great revenge thread and tore it to little pieces. I understand a “making up” arc, but not at the expense of her main characters pride and personal character. I felt as if this book was a bunch a stupidity wrapped up in an initial good idea. The ending was unsatisfying and disappointing, and the steam was strange and off-putting because of the weird dynamics of the fake pack turned real. I definitely will not be reading anymore books in this series. This one left a bad taste in my mouth.
Advanced Reader Copy Review Six out of five stars ⭐️ When I first signed up to be an ARC reader I knew I’d read this book anyways. Then I got chosen and I’ve been so excited since. Now I’ve read it and holy hell. This book was amazing!! 😻 I loved the dynamics between all the guys and the banter they had. Throw in Trinity and it was a perfect combo of banter, tension and steam. 🌶️
Tropes: - fake dating - mm dynamics/sword crossing ⚔️ - heats, nesting, and knotting 😍 - tropical island paradise 🌺 - omegaverse - badass/independent fmc 🤩 - MMFMM 🤍 - three alphas, one beta, and one omega - cinnamon roll mmc - black cat fmc x golden retriever mmc - beta mmc - hidden identity
There were so many aspects of the book that I loved but one the stands out above all was the MM dynamics in the book. Normally in Omegaverse books you don’t see a lot of already formed MM couples but with Lucas and Cash it was different. I don’t want to spoil anything but it definitely added a unique aspect to this book that I truly enjoyed. Also I want to point out that Karen’s character development throughout the book was amazing. The way he worked through his issues so that he could accept Trinity and the pack made me tear up. Not to mention the plot twist of this book. WOW. I did not except the dynamic twist between Trinity and her ex-fiancées. But i must say the way they acted at the beginning of the book made me so mad however once I finished the book I was pleasantly surprised. It took a happier turn than what I was anticipating and honestly it is one of the things that made this book so good! As a said I don’t wish to spoil anything but I highly recommend this book.
I also want to thank Nola Heart for picking me to be an ARC reader for this book. It was exceptional and I will be buying the physical copy once it releases!
Heat Island was a quick, fun read centered on Trinity, an FMC who knows exactly what she wants in life and in her career. Things get complicated when she attends her sister’s wedding—where the groom happens to be Trinity’s ex. Cue awkwardness.
To save face, Trinity hires four men to fake date her, showing her exes that she’s thriving without them. The setup leads to some predictable moments, but there were also plenty of refreshing surprises. Nola Heart avoided the recycled tropes that often pop up in similar books, which kept the story feeling original.
I loved how Matheo, Lukas, Cash, and Kyren treated Trinity throughout the book. Their bond formed quickly, but within the omegaverse context—where scent-mates often connect instantly—it felt natural. Lukas and Cash’s established relationship and their efforts to adopt a baby were a highlight, adding both depth and representation.
The ending was half-expected, half-surprising, and ultimately satisfying. My only critique: a few plot beats were a little too obvious, which kept me from giving it the full 5⭐.
Final Verdict: A heartwarming, poly omegaverse romance with fun tropes, diverse representation, and just enough originality to keep me hooked.
Thank you to Book Sirens and Nola Heart for this ARC. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I kinda did it to myself with this one, but I hoped for the best and got the worst instead. Nothing absolutely disgusts and infuriates me more than a person dating their siblings ex/an person dating their exes sibling... so I was hoping that by the end of this that theirweddinv would be called off and the break up in some capacity. That didn't happen, and I'm sitting here physically ill and on the verge of gagging just thinking about it again.
Personal preference aside, Trinity and her pack jad no chemistry whatsoever. I hated the somewhat guilt trip Trinity gave out to get Matheo and Kyren to kiss each other (like the established couple in the pack Cash and Lucas) even when they weren't together so they just did it to appease her. I didn't like how the most interaction she had with any of them was with Matheo, while the rest didn't have much interaction with her comparatively. In a lot of cases things happened without any flow or logic, like at one moment she freshly wakes up in the morning wearing a teddy and the next breath she's ready for breakfast in the vital restaurant, or he has her pinned to a tree with his hands on her hips and then suddenly he's apparently finger blasting her out of no where. And finally.... what the fuck was Trinity supposed to smell like??? She went from smelling like cornbread, cranberries, winter, warm fires, spicy, sweet, wildflowers, honey.... like every time any of them mentioned her scent, it was always something different.

What a banger! A whole book dedicated to fake dating in an Omegaverse setting with a whole pack of swoony MMCs? Yes, please. It started strong and the humor definitely landed, but I wanted way more follow-through on the spice. For a book with sword-crossing and that many partners, the opportunities for everyone to get dicked down were right there - and yet… not fully taken advantage of. We do get a heat scene (and it’s great), but most of the other spicy moments felt like they just skimmed the surface before cutting away.
The pack dynamic had so much potential, but I wish the MM relationships got more attention. The emotional connections were there, but I wanted to feel those bonds a little deeper - not just through the FMC’s lens.
What I did love was the twist with her old pack; total curveball and a nice change from the usual Omegaverse villain setup. The sister, on the other hand, was giving “vapid and oblivious” for most of the book, but at least she slightly redeemed herself by the end.
Overall? Fun read, decent world-building, solid humor, and a pack that I wanted to see way more of (in every way possible). If you’re into Omegaverse rom-coms with light spice and good vibes, it’s worth the read - just don’t go in expecting full-blown chaos in the bedroom.
I really enjoyed Heat Island! I loved the fake dating aspect, but there is ex drama (old pack of fmc). Trinity's sister is getting married on Heat Island, a secluded island with an expensive resort that is hard to secure, even for the rich. Trinity becomes her wedding planner and everything almost goes off without a hitch, but of course there's drama that threatens to unravel several lives.
Trinity has been through a lot, but she's got a successful event planning company and now she's got a pack that respects her for being a strong omega. I would definitely read more in this world!
Trinity Jones is a workaholic omega who has a 1000-pound problem.
Five years ago the Alphas she had been seeing had left her and now suddenly getting married, and they're not getting married to just anyone.
They are marrying her sister.
And she just asked Trinity to be her Maid-of-Honour.
It's fair, her sister doesn't know that she's about to marry the very men who shattered Trinity's heart, and Trinity has absolutely zero plans to be the bearer of that bad news. But that doesn't mean the idea of spending a week at Heat Island, the world-famous beach resort, the resort where their destination wedding was to be held was going to be any easier to tolerate.
Despite Trinity spending her entire life insisting otherwise, it's time Trinity faced the uncomfortable truth.
Trinity truly does need a pack.
Well, she needs a pack at least for the next week.
Trinity goes to a matchmaking agency to arrange a temporary pack for her sister's wedding. But, the men who arrive from the matchmaking agency are not what she expected. And that includes the scent matches, something she didn't believe existed. These men challenge everything Trinity thought she wanted from her structured and somewhat lonely life.
The men who attend Trinity's sister's wedding with her, do their job and act like they are hers because they know that that is their job and what they were hired to do. But, Trinity also finds that being with them is actually a nice vacation from the reality she's used to living, but she also knows that it's all going to be over in a short 7 days.
Or is it?

Heat Island is A Fake Dating Omegaverse Rom-Com by Nola Heart. OMG, this was such an amazing book. The dynamics between all the guys was stunning and I just loved all their banter and then to add in Trinity and you have the perfect combo. It just amps up the banter, tension, and steam. It was so perfect.
Trinity is a workaholic. Five years ago the Alphas she had been seeing had left her and now she puts all her focus on her own business. She owns her own event planning business and it's her baby and gets all her focus.
Then her sister drops the bomb. She's getting married. And she's getting married to the very Alphas that had left Trinity five years ago. And what's more than that, Trinity's sister just asked her to be her Maid-of-Honour.
Trinity knew that her sister didn't know that she was about to marry the Alphas who had shattered her sister's heart. And Trinity wasn't going to tell her. Her sister didn't need to know that. But, at the same time, that didn't mean the idea of spending a week at Heat Island, the very resort where her sister was holding her destination wedding was to be held was going to be any easier.
Trinity had spent her entire life saying that she didn't need a Pack. But, she was slowly starting to realize that she was going to have to face an uncomfortable truth. Trinity actually did need a pack, well at least for the week of her sister's wedding that is.
So Trinity goes to a matchmaking agency, she arranges a temporary pack, just for the week of her sister's wedding. But, the four men who show up from the agency are far from what she expected, including the fact that she quickly realizes that they are her scent match, and this was something that Trinity thought didn't exist. And these four men challenge everything that Trinity believed that she ever wanted from her very structured and intentionally lonely life.
Matheo, Lucas, Cash, and Kyren attend Trinity's sister's wedding with her and they do their job right, and they all act like they are hers because they know that is the job they were hired to do. But, Trinity also finds that being with them is actually really a very nice vacation from the reality she's used to living, but she knows it's all going to be over in a short 7 days.
But, Trinity starts to question if it really has to be over in 7 days? After all, they are all scent matches.
I fell in love with these four guys. They are each so unique in their ways.
Matheo is a steady presence in Trinity's life and brings some stability to her life. He's also the founder of a tech company called OurLog.
Lucas is pure sunshine and warmth and he has an easy laugh and Trinity easily falls in love with him because of who he is and his very personality.
Cash has a brilliant mind just like Trinity. But, Cash is also a math prodigy, which was discovered when Cash was 16.
Kyren has a sharp wit but he also thinks that he is too good for Trinity and has a tendency to turn his nose up at her.
I have to say that there were a lot of different aspects of this book that I really enjoyed and that really stood out to me. What really stood out to me was the MM aspect. I loved that this Omegaverse book had an MM couple already established. Lucas and Cash were perfect in their own right. I really enjoyed seeing their relationship grow and develop as the entire pack grew to encompass Trinity.
And I have to point out Kyren. He started out thinking that he was too good for Trinity. But, the way his character developed throughout the entire book was just stunning. And I loved the way he worked through his personal issues and slowly opened up and slowly started to accept Trinity helped to bring the entire pack together, that part just made me tear up and I nearly started to cry.
I was shocked and surprised by all the twists and turns in this book. I never expected the dynamic twists that would happen between Trinity and her ex-fiancees. I have to say that the way they acted at the start of this book just got me so mad, I was just shaking and I had to set my Kindle down as I was shaking so hard.
By the end of the book though, I can honestly say that I was really very surprised. The plot took on a happier turn than what I had been anticipating and really it's one of the best things that ever made this book so very good.
I loved the way that each character Nola wrote was not only well developed had an interesting background and Nola did a great job building up the characters and showcasing each of their personalities. And I loved the way that the side characters are introduced into the story carefully and naturally and it never feels like the character introduction feels like they are being introduced as an afterthought.
I also loved that we got all the different POVs which helped to give us more insight into each of the characters, made the story really more interesting and I loved how the POVs were switching often keeping you on your toes as you read.
Trinity's newly formed pack dynamics turn up the heat in Trinity's life.
I just loved how easily the story flowed and with everything that happened and was going on, I found that I was never bored.
There were a few things that I didn't like. I didn't like that Mateo, Cash, Lucas, and Kyren had to work to convince Trinity that even though their arrangement had started as a fake arrangement, it was fine that Trinity was catching feelings for them because they wanted to be with her too and they told her that multiple times.
I didn't enjoy that the supposed villains turned out not to be the villains by the end. While I didn't feel like they weren't really the villains, I didn't feel that there was enough development around Trinity's ex-fiancee's to feel as though they got their true redemption arc. Especially with how poorly they had treated Trinity for most of the story.
This was an enjoyable story and I hope that Nola writes a follow-up to this book. I would love to know what happened to our characters after the end of this book. And I would love to know where they went and what they did.
This was such a good read and I would recommend reading it yourself if you are a fan of the Omegaverse and fake dating and romance. And the four men in this book will have you swooning and the drama is going to have you grabbing your favourite snack.
I have read lots of Omegaverse books and this was another great one! Nola Heart delivers a fun, steamy, and emotional story with characters you can’t help but fall for. Trinity is a powerhouse omega running her own business, and the dynamic between her and the four men Matheo, Lucas, Cash, and Kyren is everything. Each brings something unique to the story, and their chemistry is off the charts. The story flew by, and I only wish there was more! Huge thanks to Nola Heart for letting me be part of this ARC I loved every second!
Trinity set goals for herself early on be successful have her own business keep her personal life simple but as and Omega that's not what she's supposed to want she's supposed to be submissive to and Alpha and whatever pack they belong too well she did try to have along time ago only to have her heart broken while in college when 3 Alphas couldn't deal with her independence but she's doing just fine dose she over work herself like all the time making everyone else's dreams come true yes dose she have much of a social life it's kinda zero but she can get those pesky heats taken care of at a clinic but when her baby sister tells her she's engaged after only knowing her guys like a couple of weeks Trinity thinks her under achiever sister is just settling but then to find out that the guys that rejected her in college are engaged to her sister this has to be a sick joke and the nuptials are on Heat Island and they want her to plan everything somebody just put Trinity out of her misery right now and there's that thing we're she may have told her exes she was in a comited pack relationship okay she panicked now everyone one wants to meet her non existent pack oh brother were is she going to find 4 Alphas on short notice. Matheo likes his quit and his peace watching birds being out in nature he sold his billion dollar company and he's enjoying the quit life if only his mother would leave him alone and stop trying to find him and Omega and his mother is hassling him about going to a charity event she probably has some desperate Omega lined up for him that's when he hits in a closet and gets wacked in the head by the most beautiful Omega that smells like heaven Trinity has no time for hot Alphas she has to find a pack soon and the heat agency she uses just may have the answer. Cash a Beta is CEO of Matheo's old company and he and his Alpha partner Lucas have been trying to adopt forever but there not what the agency is looking for they have no pack Kyran has a past full of regret and debt he's known Matheo and Cash since college and he hasn't made much of himself since then he tries he used to want and Omega and a pack but he has nothing to offer except his heart can these unlikely Alphas and one Beta be the pack that Trinity so desperately needs on Heat Island well there's certainly some hillerous moments some oh no moments and allot of hot moments that just might give Trinity the Pack she didn't know she was missing. This is allot more funny then previous books by the author with less drama and tension my favorite Alphas were Matheo and Kyran they seemed the most perfect for Trinity Lucas and Cash seemed just more perfect for each other but that's just my own personal opinion Trinity's sister and the Exs kind of drove me crazy though with all the secrets and trying to control certain things but I still enjoyed this book. I was allowed to read and advance copy of this book and this is my honest review.
This was a good poolside read, the kind of book you can dip into on a sunny afternoon or throw on during your commute. Sweet, light, like a slice of grocery-store chocolate cake—good enough to scratch the itch, but not something you dream about later.
The conflict, though? Whew. Handled with the speed and flatness of a soggy elevator ride. Everyone just skimmed over it like it was background noise, and that left me cold. And I cannot stand stories where the only tension comes from folks refusing to use their words. Honestly, this whole book could’ve been ten pages if Trinity had just sat down and told her sister what was going on. Even if you don’t call your sibling every day, the way this relationship was written made it near impossible to believe she’d keep that from Josephine.
On top of that, some editing is sorely needed. The timeline mix-ups had me double-checking, flipping back, and second-guessing myself like wait—did I miss a chapter? That’s the kind of confusion that’s cute in a mystery, but maddening here. And trust me, having to scroll back and forth on a Kindle like you’re running laps? That’s not the vibe.
Now, what I did enjoy were the Alphas. Cash and Lucas, yes indeed—they were easily my favorites. I also loved that Heart played with the dynamics a bit: a Beta as the breadwinner, an Alpha dreaming of being the house husband. That was refreshing, and I wish we got more of it. It could’ve added such a necessary layer of character development.
Because here’s the thing: the “growth” in this book was basically a chapter break. Trinity spends the entire story tripping over her own shadow, and then—boom—she goes to bed one person and wakes up with the epiphany of all epiphanies. Like sis, if you’ve been in your own way this whole time, I need to see that lightbulb moment stretched out, wrestled with, earned. Not tucked into a single neat little paragraph.
Overall, this book had the bones of something truly special, but it never quite flexed them. The characters had sparks, the world had promise, and there were glimpses of dynamics I’d love to see explored more deeply. But the rushed growth, the clumsy editing, and the reliance on silence-as-plot left me wanting. It wasn’t a bad read—like I said, it’s perfectly fine for the pool or the train ride—but it didn’t stick to my ribs the way I hoped. Here’s to the next one finding that magic.

Steamy, sweet, and impossible to put down I really enjoyed this Omegaverse book, and it kept me hooked from the very first chapter. What stood out most to me was how carefully the author introduced each character. The pacing didn’t feel rushed, and each person had the time and space to make an impact on the story. By the time I was a few chapters in, I felt like I knew the cast really well, which made their development throughout the book even more rewarding. The gradual character growth was handled beautifully. You could see the subtle shifts in their personalities and relationships as the story progressed, and none of it felt forced. Instead, it came across naturally, which made their journeys believable and engaging. I especially appreciated that no character felt left behind—everyone had their moment, and nothing was left hanging by the time I reached the final page. Every storyline was wrapped up in a way that was both neat and satisfying, giving the reader the closure they hope for in a book like this. When it comes to the romance, the balance was spot on. The spice level was perfect, with just enough steamy scenes to heat things up but never so overwhelming that it took away from the story itself. The romantic moments flowed seamlessly between passion and sweetness, and the chemistry between the characters really shined through. I loved how their interactions weren’t just about attraction but also about building deeper connections. Another highlight for me was the humor sprinkled throughout the book. Those lighthearted moments brought a nice balance to the intensity of the story and kept it fun and entertaining. It gave me more reasons to love the characters, because they weren’t just dramatic or romantic—they were also funny and relatable in their own ways. I ended up finishing this book in just one day, which says a lot about how enjoyable it was. It’s the kind of story you don’t want to put down because you’re so invested in what happens next. By the end, I was already looking up what else the author has written, because I’d happily read more of their work. If you’re a fan of the Omegaverse genre and love a story that blends strong character development, romance, humor, and just the right amount of spice, then this is a book you’ll definitely want to pick up. 🌶️Spice Rating: 4/5
Review: Trinity defies the typical omega mold—she’s strong, independent, and ambitious. But nothing tests her poise quite like being roped into planning her sister Josie’s wedding… to her own ex-fiancé. Add insult to injury: the wedding is at an exclusive resort in Indonesia, and Trinity’s expected to show up glowing and unbothered. Naturally, she panics—and blurts out a lie that she’s happily bonded in a pack with not one, but three Alphas. Cue: fake dating with a spicy twist.
While Trinity outwardly projects confidence, she battles deep insecurity—especially in the shadow of Josie, the bubbly, golden-haired ideal of what society believes an omega should be. Trinity’s inner turmoil around being “too much” or “not enough” is relatable and heartfelt. Enter the heroes: Cash, Matheo , Lucas, and Kyrin. Each man brings a distinct energy to the group, and their support of Trinity—especially as feelings start to turn real—adds warmth to the spicy, chaotic setup.
That said, the book does show signs of needing more editing. The timeline inconsistencies were distracting: a pivotal past interaction between Trinity and one of the Alphas shifts between six years, six months, and two months depending on the chapter (or even the paragraph). Likewise, setting discrepancies—like the wedding starting in Indonesia but suddenly featuring Hawaiian moons—suggested last-minute plot or location changes that weren’t fully reconciled across the manuscript.
Despite those hiccups, Heat Island is a delightfully spicy omegaverse romcom. It has a great premise, strong character dynamics, and just enough emotional depth to make it more than just a steamy fake dating romp. With some polish, this would be an easy 4+ star read—but even as is, I thoroughly enjoyed it and will definitely read more from Nola Heart.
*ARC Review* Thank you to Nola Heart for sending me a copy!
Intro: This book is an FMMMM omegaverse romance between an omega event planner trying to plan her sister's wedding and a friend group of 3 alphas and a beta.
Tropes/Highlights: -FMMMM -Multiple POVs -Open Door Spice -Sword Crossing -Protective + Caring MMCs -Fake Dating -Independent FMC -Social Role Reversal -The MMCs Fall First -Everyone Is Hiding Something -Scent Matches -HEA
Likes: -I love how Trinity and Matheo met, it was so chaotic -When Trinity first sees Kyren for the first time and recognizes him and the back story around what he does for work on the side -Each character has an interesting background and the author did a great job with building the characters up and showcasing their personalities -The different POVs made the story really interesting and the POVs switched often -The newly formed pack dynamics, especially when the heat gets turned up -I like how side characters are introduced into the story, they don't feel like an after thought -The story flowed really well and there was a lot of different things going on that I never got bored
My Dislikes: -It was repeated a lot that Trinity felt like she was catching feelings and wanted to be with the pack, but what was stopping her was the arrangement was fake even though they told her multiple times they wanted her regardless/outside of the arrangement. It felt very repetitive and kind of took away believability. -The "villains" at the beginning are supposed to not be villains anymore at the end, but I don't think there was enough development around them to make me feel like that redemption arch was complete, especially with how poorly they treated Trinity most of the story
I enjoyed this story and would recommend giving it a read if you love omegaverse stories with fake dating and romance. The men will make you swoon and the drama will have you making popcorn.
OMG! I LOVED this omegaverse book so much! It has everything that I love about a great omegaverse story… Incredible world building ✔ Scent matches ✔ Loving pack ✔ and throw in some m/m for a read that was pure perfection! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily...Trinity is not your stereotypical omega. She's a career driven fierce omega who goes hard for her dreams and knows her worth. When she found out that her sister's engaged to her ex fiances, she somehow finds the strength to stay quiet and take it all in stride for the love of her sister. She finds the perfect solution in a thrown together pack who know that they're her scent matches and love her unconditionally. This pack was just so adorable! The fierce way that they showed their love and devotion was such a breath of fresh air. Although I will say that the explanations from her old pack didn't match up with their actions in the end. They seemed extremely jealous and vindictive. I didn't buy for one second that they were over Trinity. I also wish that the scent matches were addressed, I kept waiting for the AHA moment that never came for her. Despite that, I loved it too much to not give this 5 stars. It was great to see a pack form, most omegaverse books have packs that are already established so I loved seeing this one blossom. It had incredible heat, pun intended, on Heat Island no less! Hot enough to scorch my kindle, especially the heat scenes. 🥵 It was passionate and hilarious with a few twists and turns that you don't see coming. Matheo, Cash, Lucas and Kyren were pack perfection. Kyren especially stole my heart 😍 If this is a break book, take more breaks please! I didn't want this one to end… This is by far the best omegaverse book that I've read to date. So many stars! 💜
Trinity is a strong, independent Omega. She knew what she wanted out of her career and wasn’t willing to let any alpha take that away. Her 3 Alpha ex’s dumped her 5 years before because she wasn’t the omega they wished for. Now they’re marrying her sister and she’s planning the wedding.
Matheo, Cash, Lucas, and Kyren all have their own personalities that somehow work together when they need to. 3 Alphas and 1 Beta who aren’t intimidated by Trinity’s success and ambition. They offer to be her fake pack while secretly hoping they can keep her at the end.
I enjoyed the individual dynamics Trinity set up with her 4 men. They each had a special bond developing separate from group dynamics. They were all so protective and proud of her. Trinity’s need for independence is something I feel is super relatable. She was a very easy to understand FMC for me.
I don’t think the major climax/conflict was handled all that well. It was just too much happening. I also feel like it wasn’t all truly resolved. It happened and then we didn’t get any sort of conversation between Trinity, her sister, her Family, or even really her ex’s. It was kind of just brushed aside with the assumption that everything is peachy keen after. I also didn’t love how Cash and Lucas’ whole reasoning for agreeing to the fake pack was then put on the back burner during the epilogue.
I did get an ARC so I’m hoping the inconsistencies with the timeline will be fixed for the official release. It made it somewhat difficult to keep up with the past leading up to Trinity’s encounters with the 4 men (Kyren especially).
Overall it was cute and kept my attention, and I enjoyed the spicy moments even if they could have had more detail.
I loved the start of this book. Successful Omega, goal-oriented, but has some insecurities and challenges that make her interesting. The alphas and beta were pretty good, even if their characters weren’t 100% fleshed out. But the plot holes and secrets just made this book feel like a boat that is actively sinking while all the characters look on obliviously. There was romance, but no comedy and Trinity was written like an omega who is no contact with her family except her golden child younger sister. The plot holes were so frustrating that I’m not sure if I’ll give this author a second chance.
** spoilers ahead** How does an Omega have three fiancés - that she dated for three years - and her family has never heard of them, never met them, and has never seen pictures of them? Ridiculous plot hole. And Josie never comforts her sister when her future SIL humiliates Trinity? I’m glad she confronted Amelia the next day, but even that was wishy-washy writing. Trinity’s mom never goes after Josie’s alphas for being dirtbags to her older daughter, just takes Trinity to their room. What the heck kind of family dynamic is that? Is Josie just the golden child? And how does Trinity’s family just let her leave the island without physically checking with her? What the heck kind of ridiculousness is this? Also, Josie’s alphas never really apologize to Trinity fully for what they did (which is never mentioned), and somehow Josie still just comes out on top with Trinity humiliated. What the heck? I wanted to give this book 4 stars for creativity and interesting characters and work-building. However, I could not get past the plot holes and seeming lack of care for the FMC’s feelings.
I can't tell you how many omegaverse books I have read and so it's not often I am surprised!
Trinity is a smart, independent omega with her own successful business and her sister just asked her to be her maid of honor and plan her wedding. To her ex-fiancés. YIKES! Talk about an emotional mess!
She needs to bring SOMONE to the wedding with her - not because she's not over those men - but because she was HUUURT and really just wants to show everyone (okay...THEM) that she really can be a working omega with an alpha...or pack. But because she isn't currently with anyone (her life is way too busy for that) she needs to hire out.
I love that this pack wasn't all an established pack prior to having Trinity in the picture, which meant they needed to sort themselves out at the same time Trinity was battling her own issues. So why didn't I give it 5 stars? ***SPOILERS AHEAD*** * * * * * * * * I felt like it was a little unbelievable that NO ONE knew that she had dated the previous pack (now marrying her sister) for 3-4 years and was even ENGAGED to them. Not a single person! They were all completely clueless before it finally comes out.
The one thing that did surprise me was the motivation behind her sister's pack. I HONEST TO GOD thought they were still the biggest jerks around and her sister was just dumb clueless. So kudos to the author for that! However. Did they grovel enough? Did their attempt to make up for those things work? No. It was a start but they really did a number on Trinity and I felt like it all got swept under the rug. Especially by her sister.
I still really enjoyed the book though and it was well worth the read.
So I love an omegaverse type story!! And this one pulls you in right away!!! Right away you live Trinity and when we meet Matteo and he scent matches, you know it is going to be exciting. Seriously- a quarter of the way through and I couldn't put it down! Like reading to scream can't put it down in the middle of the night! Plus Cash and Lucas, they add this wonderful dynamic and you and immediately excited for how they all are the perfect fit of defining what their pack means. Lucas adds that grounded alpha you love, and Cash is the beta that acts as the glue. And when they mention Kyren you can't wait to see how he fit. All the while- you are waiting to stick it to Trinity's exes. Though this story has spice, it's actually mild for an omegaverse story.
Spoilers-
We don’t go through the crazy last quarter of the book break up drama, even when everything is out in the open, as you know it will be, it is anticlimactic in a good way- where you see Trinity realize she has been getting in her own way the whole time. I love how she bounces back immediately and goes for what she wants, so in line with her character throughout the book. I love the relationships of all of the guys, and especially loved her and Kyren having their moment of honesty. It is great to see her finally see them as hers, and the volcano drama was unexpected, but a pleasant surprise.
I stayed up until 5AM reading this. Whether that be a glowing endorsement or a source of concern is up to you.
It was cute, funny, and entertaining, with unique takes on personalities and the development of drama within the generally predictable events.
It was lucky she did the rest so well, because I wasn’t a fan of how the spice is written. It was very poetic, which made it difficult to grasp the choreography at times. This ruins crucial character development in relationships like these and turns the men into hollow impressions of people rather than well rounded beings.
It wasn’t ‘closed door’ by any means, but maybe ‘closed sliding glass door that gets a bit foggy for reasons we can only speculate,’ you know?
And it’s a lot of ~getting right down to the big event without preamble or petting,~ that I didn’t realize was so out of the norm in this genre until I encountered it here and found it jarring.
But it consistently held my interest otherwise, although the third act unraveling had some continuity errors in the things said, that were not a part of the openly known information at the time, despite the other facets being brought to light.
And Trinity sort of forces a relationship dynamic between two of the men that wasn’t really discussed or consented to. Didn’t love that.
I did generally have fun, despite the writing of this review revealing many reasons I shouldn’t have, and will potentially be checking out the author’s other works.
I really enjoyed this book with its refreshing plot and approach to the omegaverse genre. Honestly, I would have preferred to give it 4.5 stars, but since half stars aren't an option, I'm giving it 4. While it was marketed as a romcom and did have some smile-worthy moments, it never quite reached the laugh-out-loud hilarity I was expecting from that label. Still, definitely a possible reread for me.
The writing is solid and the characters are genuinely likeable, with the right amount of spice without it being too much. But what I appreciated most was how the author handled conflict. Instead of dragging out unnecessary drama where small misunderstandings snowball into relationship-ending catastrophes, everything felt much more realistic and mature. It's such a breath of fresh air in the romance genre.
There are definitely some awkward and funny moments that lighten the mood, though the story still manages to have emotional depth when it counts. This is perfect for omegaverse fans who want something that's not too heavy or dark, but still has some substance. It's the kind of book you can sink into and enjoy without having your emotions completely put through the wringer, even if it does have its moments of tension. A delightful, entertaining read!

Trinity finds herself in quite the dilemma. Her younger sister is getting married to a pack. She wants her sister, Trinity to organize the wedding. The worst part is that the pack is made up of all of Trinity's Exes!
Trinity needs a prayer, but she will settle for a pack of her own...ASAP! This is where Matteo, Lucas and Cash, and Kyren come into the picture. They agree to "pretend" to be Trinity's alphas and beta. Cash is so cute as beta.
"Trinity", he groans, my name a raw sound on his lips, and it's enough to push me over."
Instantly I felt the strong attraction that Matteo had with Trinity as his mate. It was so strong that it caused him to recruit his closest friends to be part of his pack. I loved that Lucas and Cash were already in a relationship. Lucas's obsession with having pups had me smiling so big. Cash bring the witty humor. Then you bring in Kyren, and the heat level is through the roof!
"My future lies elsewhere, with these four remarkable men who want me exactly as I am."
OMG. This book is an instant must read. I loved all of the guys and the fact that they were totally and utterly obsessed with Trinity. She may by an omega, but she is a woman boss! Let's hear it for independent FMCs. It only makes sense that a strong woman like her would need not one but four men. Make this book your next read ASAP!!
What a beautiful and unique Omegaverse story! Full of meaning, packed with action and twists, and where emotions always speak louder.
This is a Why Choose rom-com with wonderful M/M dynamics — lots of love! It’s about giving love a second chance, learning to let go, and acceptance. And the steamy moments? Toe-curling!
The plot is so spectacular it kept me hooked from the very beginning. I couldn’t put it down, always eager to see what would happen next — because nothing is ever quite what it seems. The author managed to surprise me time and time again in the best possible way.
Our main characters are a group of the best kind of misfits: - An Omega FMC who wants more than society expects of her — strong, loyal, and full of love to give (to those who deserve it) - A brilliant Beta MMC with a strong personality, used to calling the shots at work - Three very different Alpha MMCs: one who’s easygoing but still didn't find his way, one who’s now devoted to art and nature (and has earned that peace), and one who just wants to take care of the people he loves
They’re all fighting for what they believe in, proving that their designations don’t define who they are.
This is a standalone with an HEA perfectly tailored to our characters — and I loved every second of it!
When your exs show up and it pushes you to find better
First off I would bite just as shocked if I had been in Trinity's position. Your sibling comes it if left field to tell you they found a pack, are getting married, and she wants you to plan it. Except that's the easy part. When you meet these Alphas you already know who they are. They were yours in college but decided your drive and passion for your business didn't make you Omega enough for them. Now you need to come up with a pack so you don't look as pathetic as you feel.
I absolutely love that Trinity wasn't willing to give up her dreams to make men happy. I love a strong Omega who can take care of herself. So now she has to make a fake pack before the wedding.
I love the way these guys came to her. Sure she was paying them but they wanted more. She didn't know she was was to them. Add in the heat helper that ghosted her months ago and you've got lots of secrets to juggle.
This is a sweet, emotional and spicy story. I love how the roles in this pack are far from "normal". I mean who says an Omega should only be a baby maker and Alphas have to be the big providers? I absolutely adored the cinnamon roll Alpha who adores kids. I loved how they found what was perfect for them because it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.
When event planner Trinity is tapped by her sister to plan her wedding to 3Alphas Trinity is excited for her sister…until she finds out that her sister is marrying the 3 Alphas that dumped Trinity back in college cause they believed she rather work than provide her omega duties to her Alphas. (Her sister does not know this..and neither did the Alphas, until Trinity sees a photo of them and the Alphas meet the girls for family dinner) Now Trinity needs a pack of her own to fool everyone that she’s got it all. Enter friends Matheo, Lucas, Cash, and Kyren. Matheo meets Trinity at his phot exhibit and is hooked. Lucas and Cash are together and need an Omega to help them adopt a baby. And Kyren had helped Trinity months ago during a heat-breaking session that she booked through an agency and never saw each other again until now, even though Trinity tried to reach out and was told he wasn’t interested. Now it’s time for Josie and her Alphas wedding on Heat Island and Trinity and the guys need to convince everyone that are happy and together. Can they pull it off? Or will the heat be too much for them?

Heat Island is exactly what it sounds like: equal parts tropical vacation fantasy, steamy romance, and chaotic omegaverse drama. Trinity, our overworked omega heroine, heads to a resort wedding with enough baggage to sink a cruise ship—and somehow ends up fake-bonded to a pack that might just be her happily-ever-after. The setup alone screams beach-read perfection, and it delivers plenty of banter, steam, and sun-drenched chemistry.
What I loved most was the sheer variety of dynamics on display—MM couples already established (a rarity in OV!), a beta who actually gets to shine, and just enough drama to keep you flipping pages. Trinity herself is easy to root for: fiercely independent yet secretly craving a place to belong. Add in fake dating tropes, nesting vibes, and tropical cocktails, and the whole thing feels like Love Island with a knotty twist.
The secrets and timeline hiccups made me roll my eyes a few times, but the tropical vibes, supportive pack dynamics, and fluffy low-angst fun more than made up for it. Perfect for an easy, spicy, vacation-style escape.
I received an ARC copy and wanted to leave an honest review.
This was a breath of fresh air read for me. The characters were very relatable and I genuinely felt for the female leads situation. The shock of finding out your sister is engaged to your exes is a hard blow especially when it ended so badly. Even more so when said alphas pretend not to know you. Holding a secret like this back from your sibling and best friend, that’s got to be stressful. For more than half of the book I kept thinking if the bride finds out, it’s gonna be bad. Josie was the sweetest sister. I’m glad she was understanding of everything. I can’t say I would be.
Thank god for scent matches that only want to cherish and please their mates. Trinity’s fake pack really comes through. I can’t pick a favorite. All the guys were equally amazing. There were lots of steamy scenes with MM moments woven in. I like that they all fit together.
Great first read from the author. Can’t wait for the next one.
