4.5 Loved it Stars!

Review by Lisa Kane

Nix Pierce has loved Scotlyn James since the first time he found a picture of her and kept it in his wallet. Their story in Freefall is a beautiful one and they have appeared in all the subsequent Custom Culture stories.

Just as Nix is popping the big question, he and Scotlyn receive horrible news. Their heads are reeling and this family tragedy takes center stage over their lives for the next few weeks. Pushed to the back burner is any engagement, in fact Scotlyn never even gave Nix an answer.

When things settle down, they go from bad to worse for these two, a couple of misunderstandings snowball and feelings are hurt. When Scotlyn gets upset, her old tendency to lose her power of speech haunts her and it's almost impossible for her to communicate with Nix. When they first met and she was mute, she would write down her feelings, but she doesn't seem to be able to do that this time. She misses her family and is spiraling downward in her depression. Nix feels helpless and doesn't have a clue what to do to get them over this hurdle. So he does what men tend to do-pretend nothing is really happening.

Meanwhile the other characters from the series are all present and accounted for-Dray and Cassie are still the same-bickering and making up and still crazy about each other. Finley and Rett are working at her animal sanctuary and are blissfully in love. But for Clutch and Taylor-things are up and down. (and not just between the sheets!) Her immaturity is becoming a real problem and in spite of how much they love each other-these two have a lot of work to put in if they are going to get their HEA. Hopefully, we will read more about them in subsequent books.

Nix and Scotlyn have not had an easy way in life but they certainly deserve to be happy and to be happy together. Will there be a wedding? Will they even make it to being engaged? I loved this story and will revisit with these characters any time I get the chance!

Nix and Scotlyn: The Wedding by Tess Oliver is a book that I know everyone is going to enjoy as much as I did! What I love the most about it is that it is the fifth book in the Custom culture series and I enjoyed all of those books so much, along with Strangely Normal, and then this book comes along and it is like icing on the cake.

This book is about Nix and Scotlyn of course but we also get to see what has been going on in not just their lives since the last book Rett came out, but in all of the other characters we have come to know and love as well! All of them are there, Rett, Dray, and Clutch, Cassie, Taylor, and Finley! As well as others.

Of course just like in everyday life, weddings can be a very trying and emotional thing to deal with and this holds true in this book as well! But with a great deal of help from Cassie, who plans the perfect wedding for Nix and Scotlyn, and with Taylor creating beautiful bridesmaid dresses and Scotlyn's wedding dress, and sewing all of them herself, it just makes everything much more special. Add to that Finley's Father, a famous rocker, allows them to have the wedding at his mansion, and is going to perform, this is going to be the wedding you will not want to miss.

A lot of other things happen, that are heartbreaking, especially for Nix, and something else happens to Scotlyn that tears her up and makes Nix feels helpless about what to do, but in the end between that and of course the infamous Taylor getting Clutch all riled up as usual, and other little scenarios, what we wind up getting from this book is a whole lot of joy in reading it, and watching two of our favorite characters from Tess Oliver's Custom Culture series getting their happily ever after!

This is why I love all of Tess Oliver's books- they always are awesome, and they are so well written and filled with just the right amount of happiness, anger, emotional and sexual angst, sadness on occasion, a great plot that keeps you guessing about what is going to happen, and just when you think you know, she takes the book off on a different scenario we readers do not see coming and we end up getting a great read with a nice book hangover and it is always worth that hangover too! Thank you Tess Oliver for another great read!

I gave this book 5*****stars and look forward to my next adventure from this wonderful author!

I'm torn here. I thought that this was going to a fun loving book. But nope we just had to have uncalled for drama. I mean come on. Did we really need to have issues between Clutch and Taylor? And that Stormy situation. I mean come on for real. The one thing that I love about each book is the love they all have for each other. I just didn't care for the drama. It made this for a long and boring read. Should've just kept it light and fun.

Oh I just loved this book. This is the 5th book in the Custom Culture series. This is a great series and I highly recommend it and would suggest reading the series in order. Tess has suggested that this is the final book in the series although I would like to put it out there that I would pay good money for a little Novella of Clutch and Taylor!

I'm not leaving spoilers or going into what the book was about as I think you should experience this gem first hand without knowing what's on the horizon, but what I will say is that this book was so much more than a novella about a wedding. It had drama and humour and I experienced the full range of emotions when reading this from laughter to tears and everything in this middle. I enjoyed this book so much and I was sad when it came to an end.

Highly recommend this series and this book!

The perfect reunion novel. All the guys with their loves and the obvious wedding of the couple that started it all. Dray is still in the fighting biz and Cassie is honing her photography skills. Clutch runs the shop while Taylor is in design school, the age difference always an issue. Rett and Finley are quite busy running the barn for rescued animals. You need to have read the whole series to appreciate these men.

I truly enjoyed Nix's memory of finding Scotlyn's picture on his shoe. The emotions from Nana' s storyline brought memories of her in the other books. The ups and downs each couple experiences is normal and appreciated. Love the way these guys are each other's family and the women keep them grounded. Thank you Tess for sharing a copy with me.

Talk about a roller coaster if emotion! i forgot how much I loved Nix & Scotlyn and the whole Custom Culture series! Besr part, hanging out with the gang again. Not many books can pull you in and keep your attention throughout a whole series, but Tess does it flawlessly! After reading more of these couples all I can ask is mire please? Freefall is what started me on Tess Oliver books, so Nix and Scotlyn will always hold a special place in my heart! Throughout this whole book I couldn't stop smiling or tearing uo for that matter. It is beautifully written and I sincerely hope that this isn't the end of the series.

I could not put this book down. I love how we are updated about each couple in the series. Such an amazing group of friends. I love how they all care so much about each other. Through tough times and the happy moments you always feel connected like you're right there with them. Tess really created an incredible story. Love how old memories resurface and so many new ones are created. Loved it Tess could not sleep without finishing it!

My rating would have been higher for this final installment to a fun series if it weren't for some grammatical and what I see as editing errors. Does the author not know that a casket arrives to a funeral in a hearse and not a "Hearst"? I could let it go if it was one time but it was repeated EIGHT times!!

Tess Oliver is such a good writer! This is a fantastic book! It starts out sad because Nana passes away but at the same time she got all of her memoirs written and a letter for her funeral, for when her heart gave way some day.
As the audience, we kind of expected it and watched her boys go through the heart ache getting over Nana being gone. They enjoyed her with love and respect and she felt the same plus told them so.
Then the book takes off and one scene after another is so funny you will laugh very hard. My favorite part is when Nix makes a grilled cheese sandwich for Scotlyn… buck naked! LOL She’s worried butter might splatter on the “manhood”.
Also, the total hot guy in this series is Rett and boy can Tess Oliver explain it in so many different ways how Hot he is! Excellent attention to detail!
I highly recommend getting the series boxed set! Custom Culture plus this book along with the next one Clutch & Taylor The Wedding. From start to finish you will love the flow of the stories and not be able to put the books down!
I would rate 10 stars if I could!

Book five in the Custom Culture series. Can be read and enjoyed as stand-alone with enough back story given, but so much better if series is read in order. Full length told in dual POV with HEA. Secondary characters are the same throughout the series, I love reading how everyone’s doing a couple years later. Nix and Scotlyn are navigating through their first rough patch brought on by some miscommunication. All the friends pull together with advice and planning a wedding in six weeks. I loved it!

Nix and Scotlyn arrive at a stage in their relationship where doubt settles in due to non or miscommunication.

Mishaps occur with each of the usual suspects while relationships are tested.

It was lovely to reacquaint myself with the gang, even the British crazy rocker.

Definitely as must read if you have read this series.

I was invested in this whole group of characters and wanted to see this new chapter in Nix and Scotlyn's life. This was an okay read, good to revisit the characters, but not as strong as the original books.

Nix and Scotlyn have been through so much and their love for each other was strong. So why did the author have to put obstacles in their path. Why did they let doubt enter into it?
This should have been a light, fun easy read but issues on shouldn't have been a part of it.

The gangs all back; Rhett (The wild ladies man who finally gave his heart), Finlay (who despite her struggles with anxiety managed to tame Rhett), Dray (A fighter with a pension for sticky situations, a wild appetite, and shh, don’t tell the other guys, but my personal favorite), Cassie (the artistic photographer, assistant at Freefall and the woman constantly bailing the previously mentioned sexy fighter out of messes), Clutch (The Viking, car mogul with a draw to a certain young red-head trouble maker, and Taylor (Clutch’s guilty trouble maker). That’s everyone right? Hell no! We have our original Custom Culture meant-to-be couple, Nix Pierce and Scotlyn James. This group of characters forms a rowdy group, of friends, lovers, family that we have all grown to adore through the Custom Culture Series and now we finish it off with The Wedding. I could not wait to see what Tess had in store for them and now that I have I am feeling a little bittersweet about it. It was more than I expected but I am also sad to say goodbye to these characters and their stories.

In my opinion and I’m sure yours, Nix and Scotlyn belong together. Fate, kismet, destiny, something worked to make these two find each other. They have become family to one another. Scotlyn grounds and centers Nix while he hears and understand her even when she isn’t saying what she feels. They each found the perfect characteristics in each other for what they needed in the next stage of their lives.

Now that each member in the group has found their other half, in The Wedding we get to see how they all interact together. How the girls become like sisters and how the guys would do anything for each other and for the ones their boys love. Together these men really are like a bunch of sexy clowns and the girls are like sisters I never had.

Even though this is about the happily ever after, it isn’t without it’s drama and setbacks. Scotlyn has her hesitations and a series of events causes Nix and Scotty to a place the two of them have never navigated before before, steered by miscommunication and a slight waiver in trust. But hey, I think we can place a safe bet these two end up in a better place, it’s called The Wedding! Another one of our couples goes through some growing pains too. Every relationship has it’s ups and downs, that’s life.

The Wedding was everything it should have been and more; intimate but glamorous and so full of love. The gang each played their special part in being apart of the ceremony. Nix and Scotlyn dedicated themselves to each other in a beautiful, happy crying, emotional ceremony after everything they have been through. This was exactly what this series needed.

This is book 5 in a series and the wrap up. Each book before it brings us the story of the couples I summarized in the beginning. If you haven’t read this series at all then, you’re missing out and I strongly suggest you go click over to your book provider’s page and Start of on Freefall. If you’re caught up and The Wedding is on your T.B.R. list… well wait no more, it time.

I first read the book as soon as it was published, literally ages ago, and liked it because of the series it belongs to. Now as years later book number 6 comes along I had to read back into the guys 'and girls' stories and found it enjoyable but not as breathtaking as the first 4 books as it only concludes one couple 's story and doesn't really bring up totally new aspects.

I really love Tess's books. Her writing for me is just spot on. When I read one of her books…I know that I'm going to be in for a really good read. She’s my go to author.

I was really looking forward to Scotlyn and Nix's wedding story. I mean… I was sooo excited! I couldn't wait to read it. I just fell in love with Nix and Scotlyn in Freefall.

So…when I got the book…I just dived right in.

Ok… I loved this story. I just didn’t love the beginning of it.

I'm sorry... But I feel like I'm going to go against the current here.

I loved the story in it self. I loved reading about where all the guys and their girlfriend are in their lives.

But I kinda feel like Nix & Scotlyn story had unnecessary drama. Mostly on Scotlyn's end. I get she still has lingering issues with her family's death. But... To keep Nix in the dark about it all... Just didn't sit well with me. It just seemed out of character for me too. As I kept reading... Scotlyn was really starting to get to me. And I hated that... Because I loved her in Freefall. And the little bits I read about her and Nix throughout the other books in the Custom Culture series.

I felt Nix was trying with Scotlyn. He really put himself out there. I hated seeing them pulling away from each other. I just hate how miscommunication is the drama in a book. All they had to do is talk to each other.

Once their miscommunication was all settled. And they were back to the loving couple that I loved from Freefall...

This book was just so spot on! I'm mean I couldn't read fast enough. I absolutely loved how Nix & Scotlyn were with each other. They always seemed to just get each other and it comes across in this book too.

There was some sad moments in this book with Lucy... Aka nana. I don't want to give anything away.

But... I felt so bad for all the guys.

The wedding.... I loved Nix and Scotlyn's wedding vows. They were just so touching and so them.

I loved reading about the other couples. Dray & Cassie, Rett & Finley,

Clutch & Taylor. I can’t help but to think that their age difference will last the rest of time. They had their ups and downs in this book. I felt for them.

But… I definitely would like to know how they are doing in a couple of years.

Overall… This was a good book! I think Tess did a good job incorporating all the characters in this book. It never felt like one person or couple took over in this book. I truly felt like I was catching up with old friends.

I fell in love with Nix and Scotlyn in Freefall. I enjoyed their appearances in each of the following books in the series. So I was beyond excited when I found out that Tess decided to wrap up her outstanding series with the conclusion of their story. Scotlyn is still one of the best female character names ever and I adore Nix. I'm so glad Tess decided to write this book. However, I will admit this was a hard book to read at times, not due to her writing or content, but due to the heartache and tears it caused me. My heart broke for these two and I wanted to smack them for not clearing up their misunderstandings sooner. I hated that their own fears and doubts threaten their happiness. Tess of course delivers a beautiful ending which brought more tears only this time they were happy tears. Beyond that, it was also great seeing the return of their friends as well. This book made me laugh, cry, smile, and swoon. I loved every page and I'm glad this couple finally have their well deserved beautiful happy ending.

Have you ever heard "All good things come to an end?" Well, that is exactly what we have here. The fifth and final 5 star read in the Custom Culture series. The conclusion that brings all the characters and relationships full circle. It is not a standalone and should read in order. I also recommend enjoying Strangely Normal since the characters overlap and some subject matter is referenced.
Give yourself enough time to complete once you begin. Totally captivating and entertaining. It is next to impossible to put it down. There is a painful need to know what happens next.
Reconnect with all those roles and storylines that made each book so special. You will discover that falling even deeper in love and lust is possible.
Please be advised that kleenexes and a cold shower or two may be needed. There were moments of complete emotional destruction. I mean loose your breath crying. Wondering if your heart has actually just broken into a million pieces. Wishing you were able to slap a face or two.Laughing and searching for answers. Then those scenes that made the room temperature go up a few degrees. Dang!!!
It was nice to have the storyline center around the initial couple of series. Kind of a back to where it all began. Throw in some shock, drama, action, and resolutions for a superb read. Excellent dialogue and environmental inclusions to support storyline.
It really is difficult to recognize and acknowledge that there will be no more additions to this magnificent series. If it had to end, there was no better way. A perfect ending to a stay with you forever fairy tale series.I highly recommend reading!!! I hope and tend to beg for a change in the no more status. I need more. AndreaGH

Great read if....you enjoyed the other books in the series, romance stories, facing your past, overcoming your fears, painting your future, growing up, and an HEA.

Side note: I am a Custom Culture girl for life! I have loved every book in this series and every book is amazing. This was no exception. It was beautiful to see the way the gang finished up together as a unit and brought back everything we loved as well as a little extra spice to their typical amazingness. What I love most about these books is every time I sit to read one, it's like coming home and returning to family. It just fits and I feel like I belong there. And that's something that isn't typically felt with all books and something I am grateful for. I hate to see the series end, but if it had to end this way I'm glad it did.

Yeah, yeah, I'm a Hugh fan of Tess Oliver; but, that doesn't diminish the truth in my words. Take my word for it when I say, "Nix & Scotlyn" is a perfect and welcome addition to the Custom Culture series.

First let me say that sometimes men can be such idiots as evidenced by Nix's behavior when is proposal to Scotlyn is interrupted by news that Nana has passed away. Instead of bringing the couple closer together the tragic loss seems to send them into a spiraling vortex of miscommunication. A couple once known as an example for others and who never really argued now faces their greatest challenge yet. Oh I failed to mention that there is the addition of a shameless hussy who works for Nix at Freefall who is bound and determined to cause problems in somebody's relationship. It's just a terribly wondrous thing I couldn't jump through the pages and bitch slap her into next year.

One of the things I loved most about this book was that although the main story is centered around Nix & Scotlyn, we the fans get a chance to experience snippets of the drama between the other wonderful characters like Taylor and Clutch etc. Even Nicky King has a cameo appearance. Trust me when I say there is plenty of drama in this little gem.

For those of you who haven't experienced the world created by Tess Oliver,the Custom Culture series is a great way to become acquainted. Start with "Freefall" and go from there. You won't regret it.

**I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review**

"Three years ago I found a picture of a girl. Actually, the picture found me. It was stuck to my shoe. It was only a crumpled up picture, but it stayed tucked in my wallet. That day, you curled yourself around my heart. And you're still there. My feelings are so strong for you Scotlyn, the word love doesn't even cover it."~ Nix

Nix and Scotlyn are absolutely my favorite book couple and it was awesome getting a follow up book about their wedding. The book started off with a proposal. Unfortunately before Scotlyn can answer, tragedy strikes and the devastating news pushed the proposal to the back burner. Seeing the timing of the tragedy and the proposal as a bad omen, Scotlyn got scared, started pulling away from Nix and a series of miscommunications had their relationship in jeopardy.

Overall, I really enjoyed this last installment of the Custom Culture series. The friendships and bonds between Nix, Scotlyn and their friends were amazing!! Nix and Scotlyn proved that true love always wins in the end and I loved the journey to their HEA. Oh, and the wedding vows...beautiful!! Several LOL moments in this story and great catching up with the other members of the series. Would love to read future wedding books on them as well.

~~~~~Kims Review!~~~~|
I received an ARC of this book for my honest review.
So before you read this you must read the entire Custom Culture box set! Nix and Scotlyn are from 'Freefall', by far my favourite couple out of all the set!
Be sure to have enough free time to read this book in one sitting as you just won't want to put the story down! It's amazing! All the characters from the entire Custom Culture box set come together for the wedding! The book had my emotions all over the place! My heart was bursting with love then I was crying then giggling, then crying again!
I just needed Nix and Scotlyn to sort themselves out and get on with the wedding!!!
I wasn't disappointed after all the drama the wedding comes together nicely! I really enjoyed meeting all my favourite characters again and swooning over Nix!!!! The story was lovely and I thoroughly enjoyed all the twists and turns that kept me on my toes throughout!
I'm so sad to see the series end I will really miss Nix and Scotlyn they are truly the most wonderful couple ever and I'd love to see more of them as a married couple! Five stars just doesn't seem enough once again! Thank you Tess Oliver for bringing these awesome characters into our lives!
I went in to this book thinking it was going to be pretty straight forward in that we get to see Wedding planning chaos ensue and some comical moments from the gang again and finally a beautiful Hallmark worthy wedding scene or two. Wrong, wrong and wrong.
I was literally in tears with this book. At times it was a sweet single tear snaking down delicately and other times it was hiccup sobs with gross snotty nose and puffy red eyes type of crying.
It is such a beautiful and emotive piece of writing with Nana's illness (who also delivered some cracking lines in between tearing my heart out) and Scotlyn struggling with a wedding day without her family present and the awful miscommunications with Nix and her. By the end of it all my emotions had gone through a terrifying gauntlet of mood swings between anger and frustration and laughter and heavy sadness and back again to smiling. Reading about Nix and Scotlyn's wedding was like being reunited with friends you haven't seen in a while, so happy to be in among them again and sad to see them go too but back to happy and excited when they get that happily ever after. It's another stunning and superb story from the brilliant literary mind of Tess Oliver.
