Captain Bob Takes Flight is a fun and clever book. I would categorize the book as a picture book for both the nursery and primary audience. Captain Bob is a young boy who considers himself the "fiercest flyer." When the Control Tower, his mom, tells him to clear the runway, his room, he takes off on an adventure in his homemade plane to return his toys to their places. I gave the book four stars because I think the analogies are super cute and the pictures of how he imagines his room as the cloud cluttered sky are beautiful. I read this book with my two year old and she thoroughly enjoyed it! Captain Bob shows young children how a common chore, cleaning your room, can be fun if you make it. After the story, Emma and I pretended to be airplanes cleaning her room and she loved it. Young children can relate to the plot because their bedroom is a place where they spend a lot of time playing and being imaginative. The book is defiantly appealing to children because of the fun filled pages and theme of airplanes. This book could be used to engage children in a cleanup activity, as part of an airplane theme lesson, or just to explore the magic of your imagination!

A book about a kid who uses his imagination to have fun pretending he's a pilot on an adventure.

I think it's a nice book to introduce kids on the concept of imagination and how powerful it can be.

My kids love the CAPTAIN BOB books!

When Captain Bob is instructed by the Control Tower (his mother) to clear the runway (his room), Bob decides to do it "my way, the fun way."

Pretending to be the finest, fiercest Fly Boy, Captain Bob sets off of an adventure through the skies, returning items to their rightful position.

My kids and I have really enjoyed the CAPTAIN BOB books as bedtime stories. This is another winner that will keep your kids entertained, whether a toddler or a middle-schooler.
