Doctor Needed

Sam and Cole's chance meeting was fun and entertaining. Their time together was woven into a story of intrigue, slight deception, and jealousy. It was definitely worth reading as I could not put it down.

Sam was a surgical resident at the hospital , one day while she was at the corridors of the hospital she noticed a guy who has a blonde hair, he was a kind of hot ,wearing a navy suit.
She was watching at the operation room ,when she saw him again behind the glass wall, their eyes met and than she caught him watching her.
After finished her shift she went home and went out to her terrace, after 18 hours shift she needed a glass of wine and to relax.
she heard someone coming up her terrace from the sand, it was the blonde guy .
He mistook her place with his, but his place was the same and next to her’s.
She asked what was he was doing with the board members, he tells her that he’s in board of the hospital and works on the real estate.
That night they finished making out.
A part of the hospital was named for her mother .’Evelyn ‘s wing’,it’s for people with low incomes , she heard that the board wants to change the policy, but she will fight tooth and nail, for the memory and the wish of her mother.

What a rollercoaster of emotions that started on her back deck . Sam opened up for a one night stand witha stranger who happened to step on on the wrong deck. Cole was an unemotional person until Dr. Samatha Taylor came along. This was a shift for both of them until they got it right for their HEA. A lot of heartache and growing pains had to occur for them both . This story had deception by omission, steamy sex and a lot of angst in it. I loved this book and the characters. It has best friend who is a fixer, a dad that is protective and some callous co -workers in the mix that makes the storyline funny and devastating.

I picked up this book on a whim. Well not quite a whim I guess since it kept showing up on my kindle, advertising does it's job, so there's that. I usually lean towards books that are a bit darker. But for some reason this one called my name. I am glad I listened.

This turned out to be a very good story. I found I was attached to both Cole and Sam very quickly. The story was paced well and tapped into very realistic emotions, some current world concerns about the medical industry, and yes, some drama to keep you reading on.

For the story and character development, definitely 4 stars. For spice, a 3.5. Would I recommend this to anyone who loves a contemporary romance, that's well written and authenic, absolutely yes.

Ten Day Affair by Blakey Stone. Dr. Sam is in her third year of residency at a hospital in Florida one she’s deeply connected to, thanks to the legacy left by her parents. Cole, on the other hand, is a high-powered New York billionaire working in mergers and acquisitions. He’s in town for a board meeting at Sam’s hospital. Though they only share a fleeting glance the first time they see each other, fate has other plans. One evening, Cole mistakenly steps onto Sam’s deck—leading to a spontaneous one-night stand. This book had drama, spice, challenges, grief and growth. I highly recommend this book.

I absolutely devoured this! The things that can happen in 10 days 🥵 I mean the author had me by chapter 2. The instant attraction between Sam and Cole when they lock eyes in the OR 🫠 and the chemistry between the two throughout the book was just 🥵🥵. All it took was 10 days! What ends up happening to the two when she finds out the true reason of him being in Palm Beach? Will they be able to survive it? I just couldn’t stop reading, my mind kept reeling and I had to find out the ending.

Sam and Cole's story is one wild ride. Their story had drama, a one night stand and passion. The author draws you in at the start, you can't stop reading and then you see the sun coming up. I really enjoyed this one and I think you will too.
