I needed something really light and fluffy that wouldn't require too much attention, so my first thought was to reach for a Harlequin - good call. It's taking me a long time to get through a book these days since I have a baby under one, so I wanted a book that I could easily jump back into without having to go back to re-read details, and this book fit the bill quite nicely. It's a light family romance with some small twists here and there to keep it interesting.

The story centers on Darby White, a woman running from her past who finds herself the new nanny of five recently orphaned children. Their new guardian is their Uncle Garrett who is very hesitant to become a parent. He is also the obvious romantic interest for our leading lady.

This book wasn't earth-shattering, but it wasn't entirely predictable either in certain aspects, which was a nice surprise. All in all, it was a decent read that I enjoyed but didn't love.

A story about a woman trying so hard to hide her existence. A woman trying to be normal and wants to obtain freedom.

A man who thinks he never existed to the eyes of his parents and to the world and have to prove himself every step of the way.

Together, they both find family that will accept them without reservations.

I just thought that the way Darby thinks that she was the cause of the accident is just exaggerated. However, it must be the "survivor's guilt" that made her think that way.

I just hope the author portrayed or made the children's characters more into the story. Nevertheless, I loved the story.

It was romantic and sweet, and just the kind of book somebody wants to pick up on a rainy day. I loved both the hero and heroine in this book. Both were stubborn, but neither ever really back down, and even their stupid choices weren't unbelievable. A great read!
