Visual Guides deserve five stars, but this guide just doesn't name enough characters from seasons 2 and 3. It names plenty of things, rest assured, but falls a bit short on naming species and characters after season 1. Mysteriously, some named things from the preview pages were reverted to having more simplistic descriptions instead of a proper name.
Well this has been a long time coming, and I’m happy to finally have a copy…
The Mandalorian Visual Guide was originally scheduled a few years back to cover season one but other factors delayed it…and maybe that’s for the better since it. An account for all three seasons.
Like last visual guides, there are breakdowns of the people, planets, ships, droids, critters, and just about anything else that appears in each episode…including some material not shown in the show.
For those who are fans of the old expanded universe, you’ll find a TON of old EU references.
Even better there’s an updated galactic map that includes a lot of the old Essential Atlas (complete with breakdown of some hyperspace tours, divisions of space, and other notes).
There is some limited info on book of boba fett and a preview of material in Mandalorian and Grogu, but I suspect they plan to cover that material in duller detail at a later date…
Highly recommend for nerd and non nerd alike…
And yes there’s a ton of good data on Mandalorian armor and principles and stuff…
A very good guide to the Mandalorian. Simple to follow and gets readers up to speed with the Mando and Grogu's adventures upto the movie. Covers Seasons 1 -3 and the sections of the Book of Boba Fett that cover the Mando and Grogu. It's only problem is that the blurb on the back and Pedro Pascal's introduction suggest there might be some behind the scenes stuff, but there isn't any.
After finishing the show and movie, I desperately wanted more Mandalorian content and back story. This visual guide didn’t disappoint! It filled in plenty of gaps and things I missed. A must-have for any die hard Mandalorian fan! This is the way
